(Sumber: sini)dikemaskini 10.50 malam

***  ***  ***

Sepantas kilat putar-belit DAP sudah bermula.

Dari Ratu Tweeter parti tersebut:

Mengenai tawaran dari Penang Institute yang ditweet Hannah Yeoh, Tunku Abdul Aziz Ibrahim mendedahkan:

“He [Lim Guan Eng] offered me – now this really staggered my imagination offered me a senior fellowship at the Penang Institute, dangling travel as one of the attractions”

“His aide [Zairil Khir Johari] rang me at lunchtime yesterday to repeat his boss’s offer, but added that this time there would be a stipend of RM50,000 a year, along with other things.”

“It’s a bribe, it’s a salve for my hurt pride.”

Sumber: ‘Full version of the Q&A with Tunku Aziz‘ (The Star)

Apa kelayakan akademik ataupun pengalaman kerja yang Zairil ada untuk dia menjadi CEO sebuah “public policy think tank of the state government of Penang”?

‘The tyranny of demagogy’

“I had asked these questions which the state government had chosen to stay mum and which Zairil had conveniently avoided,” katanya.

“… with a monarch’s voice cry ‘Havoc,’ and let slip the dogs of war

“For them, it’s political expediency. It doesn’t matter because I don’t think they’d give two hoots about anything or anybody who stands in their way.”

“They [DAP members] find there is so much cronyism, so many cliques. You don’t belong to the leadership clique, you’re out, You make an unfavourable comment, you’re out.”

“Chow (Kon Yeow), head of DAP Penang, sent message saying I respect your decision. He should have been Chief Minister yet they parachuted Guan Eng in. He’s CM, Sec-Gen, MP.”

Rencana tajuk utama laman Aliran mendakwa:

“More than 2,000 buses brought them [Umno people] from across the country to the stadium. They did not come of their own free will, at their own expense. Everything was paid for;”

Pojokan ‘Umno, how much did you spend to bring your crowd?‘ dikarang P. Ramakrishan, mantan presiden Aliran.

Ramakrishnan selaku presiden Aliran meroyan apabila para blogger pro-Umno bercerita tentang anak lelaki Guan Eng tetapi mendiam sahaja tatkala penulis anti-Umno memfitnah anak perempuan Najib Razak.

Seterusnya Ramakrishan menghalalkan perbuatan mahasiswa anti-PTPTN mengenakan bunga malai pada gambar Najib tetapi melenting apabila Perkasa meletakkan kalung bunga pada gambar Guan Eng. Bila terkena batang hidung sendiri, barulah dia hendak menengking ‘Despicable, contemptible behaviour must be condemned‘ dalam lidah pengarang Aliran.

  1. LGE to Tunku:

    Hurry, hurry, hurry home dear
    Hurry back to DAP love
To the mountains and the valleys
    Hurry home to me

    I know, I know
    You have to go
    Please hurry back home love
    We miss you so

  2. I wondered if the old Lim reprimanded the young Lim in private over this episode since Tunku Aziz seems to be quite on good term with the old Lim (as indicated in the interview).

PS: I actually watched NTV7’s interview with Tunku Aziz last night, quite revealing.
    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Helen: Star interview even more revealing. LKS has been sporting, see
    http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/tunku-aziz-a-man-of-principle-and-integrity-says-kit-siang/

    1. I wondered if the old Lim praised the young Lim in private over this episode. The old man would have told his son : son, not even me could top this. First you reprimanded the Toon Aziz for his stand on Bersih. Now you said that history will show who was on the right side. Well done son.

Ah yes, Father and Son. The Father praising the Son on his handling of the Toon Aziz episode.

To see the Toon Aziz episode in Malay vs Chinese terms would be misleading. Misleading ? Look guys. The Father and Son, and The Toon Aziz, all three are Anglophiles. All 3 educated by the same English fascists. So where’s the Malay vs Chinese thing ? I’ll tell you where. No where.

The only thing that surprises anyone, if we can still it a surprise, is that the Chinese Anglophiles are much more cunning and ruthless than the Malay Anglophiles.

  3. Nice one..” DAP – tyranny of demagogue” … How true..

According to H L Mencken : ” Demagogue: One who preaches doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots.

Malaysian Malaysia…Equality… my foot! Fly kites lah LGE…

  4. a pattern has emerged that people can use as a rule of thumb. it appears that any wrongdoing or dirty tactic anyone in PR accuses their “political enemies” of doing, most likely it is something they are doing themselves.

it is typical of the cowardly and the guilty to use their own yardsticks on others. it is a sort of paranoia found in those without moral compass. they figured since they are doing it, others are probably not above doing the same. decency is alien to them. just look at those who come a-visiting here with their cheap blanket accusation that everyone who is not with the opposition is an BN/UMNO purchase…

this incidently is the pattern of anwar ibrahim/PRK which PR unfortunately has seen fit to adopt. as much as DAP is accused as a chauvanistic party and the vehicle of the lim dynasty, i think it did once [when lim senior and karpal were more in charge] discharge its responsibility as opposition in a more credible and worthy way. much better than PAS or PKR ever did.

throwing aspersions relentlessly, especially ones that they are doing themselves, serves at least two purposes. one, it will distract the public’s attention from what they themselves are doing, and two, some of the accusations, whether outright slanders or have some modicum of truth, will definitely stick in the minds of the malleable and the prejudiced.

this is an anwar ibrahim’s trick. it served him well for a while, but since the stink of rot is hard to cover forever and people do grow up, it appears to be coming unglued for him. LGE/DAP, who appeared to take to this “strategy” like a pig to slops should do well to pay mind to this.

  5. Looks like Lim Guan Eng is actively supporting the “Lawatan Sambil Belajar” culture in state government agencies.

I wonder if all the DAP money is used for some lawatan sambil belajar for Marcus, daddy and wife?

    Who knows because nobody checks!

    1. DAP money? You mean DAP treating state coffers as their own… just like the people they despise.

    2. Lawatan Sambil Belajar culture. I don’t think that is the proper way of putting it. Here is how I would put it. How about we call this culture “Liwat Setelah Berlatih” culture ? I mean, all the practice would come to naught without actually doing the deed, don’t you think ?

  6. Let’s see how long more the ‘over my dead body’ Karpal would come to his senses to realise that Dear Leader kim Guan Eng had treated him like a Quran buruk. You stay there at one corner collecting dust. What is important to Kim Guan Eng is he has this highly regarded Punjabi on his mantle piece for everyone to see but not be heard.

    1. The “highly regarded” Punjabi is still a useful “furniture”. so the Father and Son team is not likely to discard this useful “furniture” anytime soon. On the contrary, because of Aziz The Toon episode, the Punjabi Furniture is even more useful in promoting the Deranged Anglophile Party to the masses (read : hey look, we are a multiracial party, look, there’s the Old Punjabi Furniture and His Furnishings.

Look, there’s Zairil, the Son of Christine, “converted from egg to banana. Zairil, you see, was once yellow on the inside and white on the outside, when he was still a Chinese. But when he became Zairil, he became yellow outside and white inside, truely, when he joined the DAP, his transition to an Anglophile was completed).

Old Punjabi Furniture : Karpal Singh
His Furnishings : The sons of Karpal i.e Gobind

  7. Quoting Helen: “Ke mana perginya CAT yang selalu diuar-uarkan DAP?”

I offer three words in response: ECK Sdn. Bhd.

It’s more like one acronym plus two abbreviations, really, but you get the idea…

  8. Here’s the gallery of rogues from the Penang’s Institute:

Zairil Khir Johari – 28 years old CEO

    Board :
LGE – CM & Dear Leader
    Dato Mansor Othman – DCM1

Dr Lim Mah Hui – ex Aliran
Nazir Ariff Bin Hj Mushir Ariff – Exec Director of Ivory Properties
Dato’ Rosli Jaafar – GM of PDC

“The state government has also committed to allocate a significantly larger amount of funds for the Penang Institute in order to achieve its ambition of fostering ideas for the continued improvement of Penang and beyond.”
Excerpts from the keynote address by Penang’s Chief Minister, Lim
Guan Eng, at the inauguration of Penang Institute.

    ====================================================

Significantly larger amount of funds ? Now we all know why !!

    1. DAP using state machinery to promote their own political agenda? Just like the people they despise…

  9. I just wish to highlight something absurd here.

In the PBA Annual Report(AR) of 2009, it states that the Teluk Bahang Dam be the site of safe dragon boat racing.(see page 29 of the report). This followed an allocation of RM 850,000 for the same purpose in 2008 as noted in the 2008 AR.

    a. Given those statements of fact and intent, why did the Exco in charge, Danny Lau move boat events to the Sg Pinang pier in late 2009.

    see: http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/12/16/nation/5311428&sec=nation

    b. Was this move a contributory factor in compelling teams to train in the open sea of the North Strait in anticipation of future events being held in the open sea instead of at Teluk Bahang despite an outlay RM850,00 to upgrade its facilities?

    c. If (b) is the case, was it the trigger for the tragedy of January 17 2010 in which 6 young lives were lost?:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Penang_dragon_boat_accident

Why are DAPsters silent on this issue considering the fact that fellow Chingks perished? Or is elegant silence the better half of valour in this case?

Strange isnt no hue and cry of these forgotten 6. OIC, they were probably taoists or Buddhist infidels?

Reading the ARs since 2008 on PBA’s website (now they have been yanked off in a revamp probably in anticipation of poor 2011 data) was by itself a lesson in poor management, bad decision making and diminishing profits for a once well-managed entity under KTK (comparison with pre-2008 data is indeed educative and informative). Sifting through the debris of a once proud water authority and learning that strange decisions made therein may have led to deaths would be an even bigger story.

    Warrior 231

    1. For DAPsters, you see, the well being of Non-Christian Chinese is not of their concern. Why ? These Non-Christian Chinese are sinners.

We hear this talk about the DAP being a Chinese party, which I have highlighted so many time here as a myth. The DAP is not a Chinese party. It has never contributed anything to Chinese education. It has never contributed anything to the preservation of Chinese culture. On the contrary, it has done the opposite.

It has consistently promoted Anglophile education to the Chinese community, albeit with limited success. It is aggressively promoting the Christian faith to the Chinese community (very successful, look at urban Chinese, a significant number of these urban Chinese identify themselves as Christians, they praise the Gospel).

How do you fight the DAP if you consistently misinterpreted it as a Chinese party?

Before you fight your enemy, you must accurately identify your enemy, decipher its true identity. Then, when you have done that, your formulate a battle plan, then you engage them in battle.

    1. Had this involved BN, the PR leaders and their NGO proxies will be demanding for a Royal Commission or even an International Panel. They would parade the kins of the dead like catlle in media circuses and bring them to every by-elections…

      1. To be more precise, the DAP’s favorite weapon, and by extension, Pakatan’s favorite weapon, is the use of morality to attack those that differ from them. Thus we see the use of words like prostitute, sinners, adulterers to describe people who oppose them.

I would not describe this as a circus. More accurately, I would describe this as a kangaroo court. Remember, Lim Kit Siang has a favorite phrase “let the people’s court decide”. Well, the people’s court is a kangaroo court.

When they want to twist the story in their favor, they say “the man is corrupt” and immediately their entire machinery goes to work attacking the target. So even before the “target” has the opportunity to defend himself, he finds himself in a kangaroo court where there’s no avenue for him to present his case.

  10. as far as DAPsters are concerned, why should they go for an intelligent discourse if spewing obscenities and profanities suffices? after all, mencarut makes good reading; being rational doesn’t..

  11. The problem with the DAP camp is the same approach how UMNO tackled the problem with HINDRAF faced pre -GE12 in 2007. Everything that was legitimate HINDRAF had raised was shot down.

If you notice after the release of the HINDRAF leaders from ISA, the biggest critics of HINDRAF has been the opposition, not UMNO and its mandores.

UMNO and its mandores just keep a quiet front and try to work around with the mandores on the legitimate problems of the marginalized Malaysian Indians whereas PR became the new BN.

Similarly in this episode of Tunku Aziz, DAP has taken the same step forward in brandishing this man in which ever way to ensure their foothold amongst their voters. Like what is stated, do you just go around offering a position just because he steps down from DAP then justify it.

How can you justify if in the first place, was there a vacancy in Penang institute and if so was this made public so people could apply for it. Was there one? How do you select the candidates for this so called think tank?

Only DAP-based candidates or a spur of the moment vacancy to doodle with politics.

Sure enough BN is famous for this that we hope to change on a merit basis but what difference is it with DAP who practices the same bullshit. Come of it, Malaysians are not that stupid anymore to accept such flimsy excuses.

Seriously, we all know how messed up BN had been, but I must give them credit if they now come to their senses and try to make amends, but PR knew exactly what they are getting into but now when you observe their attitude, it is politics as usual, so seriously does it really matter or makes a difference whether it is BN/PR when they can learn to forego their politics and be constructive enough to make the changes for the benefit of the public irrespective of origin and religion for the betterment of the nation.

  12. Zairil berlagak macam seorang tauke. Of course Zairil can do that. He is the stepson of the late Khir Johari. Imagine if he is not the son of the late Khir Johari. Would LGE welcome him into the DAP ?

Adakan Aliran sebuah NGO yang menampakkan sikap neutral ? Neutral ? Aliran is the foundry for the DAP, an incubator. How could you expect them to be neutral, impartial ? Impartial ? Am I hearing things ? He he he !

There is no difference between The Hermit Kingdom of Pinang and the authentic Hermit Kingdom of North Korea. Both are mafia states. Both will do anything for the sole purpose of self preservation.

The Hermit Kingdom of Pinang has been relying on NGOs to sustain itself since it took over the state government, doubtless this reliance will continue to grow since it has no standing army or police force of its own. So their “standing army and police force” will consist of these NGOs.

  13. Malaysian in New York,

I beg to differ. UMNO did not shoot down any legitimate concern of Indians. HINDRAF totally blocked any hope of discussion by accusing UMNO as engineering etnic cleansing. Naturally many malays are upset.

‘are way that bad? are that cruel that people dare to think that we are just like Serbs or israel?’. Of course you will not think much about it. Imagine the uproar if your race insulted like that.

Some of indians grouses are not legitimate. Again malays are asking why for the number of temples exceeds that of mosques and surau put together when the state Selangor has Malay majority.

As for DAP, it makes its mark by waging war against the malays. how? By consistently attacking malays by questioning their rights . DAP creates an imaginary enemy in mind of ChineseThat UMNO is waiting to deprive Chinese of legitimate rights. DAP gives false sense of hope to Chinese that the way to go is going for broke in politics ignoring demography.

All are done to perpetuate Lim Dynasty. Any other Chinese that does not subscribe to its racist way is deemed as selling its soul to UMNO.

Malays sees majority of Chinese as ignoring reality that they live in multi racial country. malays see no reason why Chinese can lament about being called “pendatang” when many chinese politicians behave exactly like “pendatang’.

If anyone ever says about Chineses schools, all Chinese politicians will reply that it is guaranteed in Constitution? Where? The constitution only guarantees the right to practise and speak mother tounges.

and the same politician will ignore Cnstitution when they criticize why civil service is heavily malay sector.

Some extremist Chines insist non mandarin speaking (mjeaning malay treachers) are ut of chinese school. Imagine what would they fill if UMNO adops teir war likwe attitude by insisting thise who cant speak malay not to be given citizenship. Until today many Chinese who in old age cant speak Malays despite living entire life in malaysia.

And yet many of them feel malays are defensive.

    1. not only the old..even in my office a penangite also could not converse in malay..and he studied in UM..is our education system is so F**Ked up to produce such..i strongly agree with Single School System (SSS)..thats the way to go for future where everybody is on the same level playing field..abolish all vernacular schools and i mean all(SJKC,SJKI,SJKA)and quota system for local universities..
      _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Remember that foreign broadcast journalist in the Bersih 3.0 viral video? He didn’t attend SSS but could speak BM. So can Bangladeshis and Burmese. What about other Chinese than Pg-ites, how you think the overall command of nat. language? — Helen

  14. Helen,

The truth is that quite a number of Chinese politicians from DAP do not want Single School system for reasons best known to them. My guess would be they do not want Chinese to mix with non Chinese students( especially Malays).

Why? So that these Chinese students who do not mix around will develop distrust on the Malays. This will make it easy for DAP to control the Chinese. Just by creating imaginery enemy that in reality does not exist.

“Shamsul. Saya tak percaya orang melayu macam tu. Saya sekolah dengan Melayu. jiran saya melayu. Saya bergaul dengan mereka. apa pun kelemahan Melayu dan UMNO, mereka bukan sezalim seperti yang HINDRAF cakap”

The above statement was made at height of HINDRAF movement just before the last election. He was my childhood friend.

Because he mix freely with people of other races, he tends to be objective in his opinion. Now compare with a person who in his entire life does not mix with other races. He speaks Mandarin or one of its dialect. His Bahasa melayu “hancur”. and he speaks pidgin English despite proudly pronouncing himself as “Anthony Wong’ .

He does not read Utusan as he does not understand malays. His interaction with Malays is just limited to talking in broken Malay with govt officers.

As he does not interact with malays, he fails to understand that like other races, Malays also have concerns which sometimes are different with that of other races. He tends to believe DAP that accuses Malay politician as racist everytime they voice Malay legitimate concerns.

He does not realise that what written in STAR or Nanyang Siang Pau do not reflect the sentiment of majority of malays. even if he understands Malays, he tends not to read Utusan as DAP keeps telling Malaysians that Utusan is racist simply for voicing Malay aspirations.

And yet he wonders why once in blue moon, Malays use the word “pendatang’. He wonders why Malays in general do not trust DAP . He assumes it must be UMNO influence the Malays to think that way

ALL THESE PREJUDICE come from one source:Separate school system.

    1. Good post, Shamsul. I come from Sekolah Kebangsaan and spent a good portion of my childhood near Felda area. I totally agree with your friend there.

  15. Rakesh,

Yup. the way forward starts is integration. As long as separate school system exists, Malaysians are LITERALLY separated by invisible wall.

Najib must show political will to tell the truth. That tolerating a system that encourages separation will spell disaster for future generation. Let us not deny the reality.
