Inilah caranya Si Gunting memotong dalam lipatan

June 12, 2012 at 12:02 am 23 comments

Dua blog memaparkan ulasan negatif, iaitu blog Matthias Chang (bekas setpol Dr M) dan blog suarakeadilanmalaysia.wordpress.com yang bersifat lucah — “Dr Chua says his penis is 25 inches …” (rujuk screenshot atas)

Bukan sekadar itu sahaja, The Star nampaknya masih mengekalkan amalannya berusaha menutup aib DAP.

The Star’s eclipsing of CSL is like your wife shutting you out if the house while she’s having a liaison with your sworn enemy. How sad!

      Not only just eclipsing CSL.

In past postings, I’ve highlighted how the Wanita MCA chief (whose name nobody remembers) is almost invisible in the paper compared to the DAP women, how The Star was indifferent to the Beliawanis chief’s doctored nude photos predicament, how the Wanita MCA sec-gen’s statement on the Kedah fatwa was not picked up, how the statements of three senior MCA men on hudud were circumcised, how the Beliawanis statement on the culture of cyber attacks on their young women was ignored and at the same time, The Star coddles Pakatan Adun Gan Pei Nei whom Beliawanis said insulted them.

The Gan Pei Nei-Beliawanis episode is in the same vein of your example of the wife shutting hubby out of the house while she’s having a liaison with his sworn enemy. Star ni mata serampang betul.

Maybe the MCA should do to the Star’s editorial team what Song Jiang did to Yan Poxi.

        But first a recap.

Chao Gai writes a letter to Song Jiang to express his thanks to him for helping him to escape. He also sends some gold pieces along with the letter. Yan Poxi finds out about this, she threatens to expose Song Jiang to the authorities because of his alleged association with the outlaws if Song Jiang does not agree to her demands.

She demanded 3 things from Song Jiang.

One, Song Jiang must divorce her and allow her to marry Zhang Wenyuan, her lover, the man she was having an affair behind Song Jiang’s back.

Two, that she be allowed to retain possession of what Song Jiang has given to her.

Three, she demands that Song Jiang also hand over the gold pieces given to him by Chao Gai.

Of her demands, Song Jiang agreed to the first 2, the 3rd demand he refused as he only has one of the gold bars as the rest were returned to Chao Gai.

Because of that the 2 have a brawl and Song Jiang eventually kills Yan Poxi in anger after she threatens to accuse Song Jiang in the court.

The MCA should do what Song Jiang did to Yan Poxi. The Star is openly cavorting with the DAP, and they are doing the “deed” openly and yet the MCA is standing still and worst of all, watching the “show”.

Not only that, The Star is also demanding that the MCA stay out of The Star’s business (come on, look, its obvious isn’t it, that the reason The MCA is staying quiet is because if The MCA tells The Star to stop coverage of the DAP, The Star will go on strike, as in the wife refusing to get into bed with the husband, in this case The Star is a source of the MCA’s profits).

Oh MCA, when are you going to act ? Until you are told by your “wife” The Star that she is going to divorce you and marry the DAP ? Ouch ! Oh my. Am I right Helen ? He he he !

          AI,

We’re only reiterating the Bersih demand that all parties be given fair and equal media access and coverage.

All the data on S’gor Aduns and S’gor political party office bearers [see my various previous tables] show that some in DAP are most favoured.

Certain PKR people (Gan Pei Nei, Eli Wong) are well liked by the paper while many Umno S’gor Aduns/politicians are definitely getting scant coverage.

Wanita MCA and Beliawanis are non-existent in The Star (e.g. the Beliawanis treasurer who called Hannah Yeoh the “DAPSuperCyber bully”.

The MCA women might want to go to church to socialize with the Star editors if it helps (sarc.) … Whereas the MCA men are either emasculated (the anti-hudud trio) or given a star aura (ref. to one particular chap) by that sex & scandal tabloid.

last few days there were media articles in The Star about concern on over development in penang island, with some reports putting guan eng in a bad light.

this evening, I saw chinese paper with headlines on the tiong lay WWW15 issue. front page.

despite the bigger amount of critical news on mca-bn in some chinese newspapers than in the engish star, helen instead chooses to target the star. hmm, what is her agenda really?

for yo info, google search results depends on many factors, and it is not largely the fault of the star if their soi lek article appears on page 4,6 or whatever.

    http://voices.yahoo.com/why-no-seo-agency-guarantee-first-7846034.html

your disappointment should be targeted at Google. its founded by jews so maybe its a jewish conspiracy? :p more stuff for your next post perhaps?

btw, searching on the star search engines, chua soi lek returned 15000 results while hannah yeoh: 680, Teo Nie Ching less than 400

The Star internal search engine is lousy!

It turns up 16,400 on chua soi lek today (when did you search?)

However, “chua soi lek” only turns up 6,220. You would think that putting within quotation marks might give us a more accurate result by narrowing the search. Logically so. And this logic correctly applies with the CSL results, i.e. [with] compared to [without] brackets.

However try TNC and you – most inexplicably! – get the opposite. teo nie ching, as you’ve pointed out, turns up 353 results. However bracket “teo nie ching” and you get 1,420 (??) This result is counter logic.

Cross referencing: TNC ” ” bracketed turns up 1,120 in Google, which is closer to The Star‘s own 1,420.

The difference can be accounted perhaps by my specifying the domain field in Google as “thestar.com.my” whereas the paper has got other domains such as biz.thestar.com.my, starproperty.com.my, thumbnails.thestar.com.my, etc.

As for CSL 6,220 versus Hannah Yeoh 680, hullo, how long has CSL been a public figure? He first became Adun in 1986. That’s 26 years. HY became Adun in 2008, that’s 4 years.

He’s MCA president & a former MP & cabinet minister. What’s her position besides being Twitter best buddy with the Star reporters and editors?

In fact, on a relative measure, I’d say that CSL’s 6,220 opposed to HY’s 680 is disproportionate and unfavourable to him, as well as shows the paper’s Bangsar M’sia bent.

And don’t forget that coverage on CSL is negative whereas the coverage I’ve come across in the Star on HY is uncritically promotional. There could have been negative coverage on HY, like the police questioning her on slander & sedition based on MCA branch police report but the paper chose NOT TO REPORT THIS!

Let’s take its CSL results. Top result: “Dr Chua Soi Lek admits to being the man in sex DVD” (Jan 2, 2008). Next, 2nd & 3rd placed search, articles dated Feb 19, 2012 and March 26, 2012. It looks like the Star search engine results turn up on the basis of ‘most read’.

Unlike Google, The Star search engine doesn’t allow us to select the field, i.e. past 24 hours, past week, past month. Thus I find Google more helpful and user-friendly for collecting the data I require.

Like I said, the paper’s got a bipolar disorder.

Its Penang splash came via orders from the top.

You’re correct about “the bigger amount of critical news on mca-bn in some chinese newspapers than in the english star”. Hence my earlier posting about Chinese media agenda setting.

Bottomline: The Chinese papers do not belong to MCA, the Star does.

Malay readers generally do not read the Chinese papers. They do read Star.

You say: “it is not largely the fault of the star if their soi lek article appears on page 4,6 or whatever”. I disagree.

The Star’s Alexa traffic rank in M’sia is 20.

Suarakeadilanmalaysia.wordpress.com (the slandering blog that doctors lewd photos) is Alexa ranked 2,119.

If an article on CSL appeared each in the news portal and in the blog, Google would give more weightage to the Star for many reasons (the paper’s status/credibility, its Internet traffic volume, etc).

All the Google parameters would favour Star to be put ahead in showing up in the search results. But the blog turned up on Page 1 whereas the Star only turned up on Page 10 (don’t say page 4 or 6 yah, it’s page 10, the very last page squeaking into the Top 100).

Going further, let concede that Star might have published articles about CSL but because not many of their readers click to read, the Google results don’t show.

Then in this case, I would question the whole ‘culture’ [Lala Sepetland-Chung Hosanna] of the paper that has made CSL unpalatable to its readership. A publication frames itself and its readership.

Say an entertainment mag or woman’s mag moulding popular taste in pop music or fashion/make-up trends. It looks like The Star has moulded its readership to treat MCA with disdain and consider BN “irrelevant”…

im on another computer sistem, on coffee break, so will reply as much asi can wit the limited time

soi lek still get more hits and results than hannah or tio ne ching. in the past few weeks n months, the star has been about him n fellow mca topguns saying this or that. more positiv coverage than the pakatan, i will say

your method of using google search engine results to prove
the star is a traitor is really weak. if you need a scapegoat, it should be Google instead with their search algorithm. here’s a tip; you can create some ‘evidence’ to show they been fudging search results. find out who works at Google Malaysia, find a few christians or secret christians, and mat sallehs. then blame them behind the conspiracy… stalinist style.

but you are getting one thing right… that the star is not on the first few pages compared to other news portal because few internet surfers (esp the younger internet savy generation) bother to treat the star as a reliable source, and see it more as mca controled english paper.

its not the star has molded people to treat mca-bn as irrelevant, but more like the star has failed to mold people. potential readers see mca-bn irrelevant, so any attempt by star to mold them is treated with skceptism.

lets compare with another english paper, new straits times. its read by all races. the sales are far worse than the star, and sales rates are still dropping. like the star, it is failing to mold its potential readership.

even malay papers like berita hairan n utusan are losing readers. government has to chip in to help them with cash infusion n bulk sales to schools, hotels, free dist, gov department, etc.

Hahaha, “Christian conspiracy” at Google Malaysia still doesn’t explain the kid gloves treatment for DAP people, the comparative invisibility of MCA women and the buat tak tahu wrt to some negative DAP stories plus the non-coverage of a large part of Umno is indisputable. — Helen

Shamsul, you are being sadistic, What and how does a Malay , Chinese , Indian or the lain lain fall into the equation when all we can be is Malaysians. Friend don’t you think we have enough politics to run an agenda but will you grow up when truth and reality is all that we need amongst when it effects Malaysians per se, unless of course if you decide that what and how it should be even when it defies the truth and reality. Get a grip on the issues not what how it is racially driven if you need Malaysians to be pro active for one another.

Shamsul, minta maaf, yes you are not sadistic and I understand your sentiment as a Malay like you as I have dealt with quite a bit of them in NY both the upper echelon as well those MARA & JPA scholars who dropped out and became illegal.

What actually I meant was let’s not be divided between us Malaysians for political agenda but deal with issues that concerns Malaysian irrespective of our origin. The politicans should be shaped according to how we the public desire and not the otherway around. It starts with us.

    Malaysian in New york,

I am not sure whether you understand the malay sentiments.

Let us not confused JPA scholars who dropped out with relentless Malay bashing and slandering by DAP.

I was a JPA scholar once and i did not drop out. What irked me is that you seem fail to understand that Malays are not racial in their thinking. They are upset and becoming defensive for being slandered on by DAP.

They are upset when Chinese educationists persistently refuse integration in school. They are more upset that DJ does not even want to accept Malay teachers in Chinese schools.

They are upset that Chinese keeps lamenting how badly they are treated in Malaysia when they( the chinese) discriminates heavily against non chinese( meaning darker complexion people) in private sector. And i vouch that is the truth.

They are upset because they see majority of Chinese seems to support DAP that is trying to erase the history of Malaysia. They are upset that everytime they speak up, people like you will accuse The malays as blaming chinese for their bad predicament.

They are upset when DAP slandered that UMNO is racist. If that is the truth, Kit siang would have been dead by now.

Shamsul, you say “They are upset that everytime they speak up, people like you will accuse The malays as blaming chinese for their bad predicament”. Shamsul okay tak!!!, Please go back to my comments where have I condemned the general Malays except the elite ones but more so in support of the Malays in general.

The Malays who dropped is not that is happening since 2008 (as the government has cut down a lot on sponsoring these students to US & UK) but those who have been here since the late 80′s and 90. In the 90′s I remember many of them who drive around in new BMWs while still being students, books paid for, holiday back home paid for and then you find out father is some Dato or someone important.

The system was skewed for the elite Malays not the general Malay common folks in the pretext of NEP. The latter still suffer till now. Let’s not take a political division here but rather come into senses amongst us to voice for one another as Malaysian for the truth that faces the common folk irrespective of their origin.

    malaysian in New york,

And do not forget my wife , whose father was a tin miner in Puchong way back in 1980 also received scholarship. My father was a clerk in Kedah and no way he could support my education in USA.

My point is that the system is not perfect. Yes. There is abuse in implementation. But in all fairness, it delivered. If there are 10 ‘anak Dato’ received scholarship, there are 50000 ‘anak petani” also received scholarship..

The point is that you tend to think Malays are not seeing their bad attitudes. I am not denying that. what i stress all along is DAP is relentless in challenging the rights of malays while at the same time leading the Chinese to self imposed segregation in Malaysia.

Just because there is abuse( which needs to be rectified) does not mean that my point is wrong.

Contrary to what you said, those who are hiding behind all these rhetorics about united malaysians are the most vocal and objected any effort to integrate.

“jangan cakap banyak. Kalau betul betul mahu integration, mesti ada satu sekolah untuk semua. Jangan hipokrit”, a Malay friend told me.
