Doa popular: “Ya Mariam, ibu kepada Allah”

January 26, 2014 at 9:24 pm 29 comments

The most common Christian prayer is ‘Our Father’ (Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth …)

The second most common Christian prayer is the ‘Hail Mary’. See its Malay translation below.

“Bonda Allah”

MotherMary

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace

Our Lord is with thee

Blessed art thou among women

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus

Holy Mary, Mother of God

Pray for us sinners

Now and at the hour of our death

Amen

“Yesus anak Allah hasil buah tubuh Mariam”

BabyJesus

Alih bahasa

Ya Mariam

Ya Mariam, penuh dengan limpah kurniamu

Allah di sisimu

Kamu dirahmati di kalangan hawa

Dan kerahmatan tunas rahim mu, Isa

Mariam yang suci, Ibu kepada Allah

Doa’kan kami yang berdosa

Kini dan pada saat kematian kami

Amin

BM translation pinched from Ninitalk, credit Halimah Mohd Said

Nativity Story1

“Allah anak Tuhan dilahirkan di sebuah palungan”

Considering that ‘Hail Mary’ is the second most common prayer, the following verses will be ringing throughout the peninsula “Ya Mariam … Allah di sisimu … tunas rahim mu, Isa … Mariam yang suci, Ibu kepada Allah”.

The translations above are the consequences of ‘Allah’ word usage.

TERAMAT LICIK

We have witnessed the Rise and Rise of the Evangelistas.

Buddhists are 20 percent of the Malaysian population in name only. In truth, Buddhists appear to have sunk to the bottom of the South China Sea. You don’t even hear them gurgle, do you?

The evangelistas are the No.2 in the country after the Muslims. They have already converted a lot of Chinese Buddhists, Indian Hindus and Orang Asli animists into their religion.

Wonder whether the evangelists possess a faculty for logic! And wonder whether they know who their God is. Is God the son of God I.e God is his own son or, to put it another way, God is his own father. It appears that God married (or not married) Mary and begot himself. What an inefficient process; a lot of effort for a non-productive outcome.

….converted a lot of Chinese Buddhists, Indian Hindus ? Wonder why they opted for Christianity? Freedom of speech and they are above all? They still cant understand why they not able to convert Malay Muslim and now they know why. Allah blessed and protect Malay Muslim, so the only way is to claimed ‘ALLAH’ and legalized it to replace ‘GOD’ or father in their Malay Bible al Kitab. One day they will claimed they prayed the same ‘ALLAH’ for one purposed.

A way to swindle Malay mind to accept Christianity. In some Arab countries like Eygpt we do aware of the usage of ALLAH in their sermon and Christian do greet Salam. We aint worried cause it been there since day 1 but not to Semenanjung Malaysia as its not part of it. The sad thing is Liberalist Malays like Marina M , Khalid Samad and rest failed to see it.

    Dear Aunty Helen,
I read that long time ago PAS leaders used to complain about the Muslims converted to other religions, especially Christian. And in 1987, Mujahid’s father, Allahyarham Ustaz Yusof Rawa made a statement that “66,000 Malays had abandoned Islam.”

      Watch this video [YouTube]

From min 2:20 onward, according to the speaker, one of the PAS member who made such claim is no other than the beloved evangelist pas member, Khalid Samad. He showed the white paper of Ops lalang where he claimed that by 2000, seluruh Malaysia akan di Kristiankan.

But today he acted the opposite and become a staunch supporter of the evangelista

That’s why I call those PAS leaders heretics. PAS now has a trio of Grand Munafiqs… Khalid, Mujahid & Dzulkefly Ahmad. And its lame duck president, Hadi Awang, could not even mildly reprimand these recalcitrant goons. Dia sendiri pun dah jadi munafiq,,, political gains first, Islam never mind.

These evangelistas are a sleeky bunch of confused moroms and confusing the christianity faith.

Anwar’s offering of ‘olive branch’ should go to his family first and then to these evangelistas before he can think of extending to the BN government.

He is the one who start the fire in the first place and he the one who should contain it.

Allah doesnt need Mariam to create his own ‘son’ .. if he (as claimed by the evengelist) wants to have son, he can create one immediately and announce it. And why Adam (from his own creation) not claimed as his son? (Christian themselves confuse to the core)

Christian are truly a confused lot.

And they they don’t know if they are coming or going.

Can’t differentiate the God, the father and the mother and the son..and their only mission is to make other people confused and be in state like them….perpetual confusion

The father is the god and so is the son…. I do wish they keep the confusion to themselves and not borrow or use other religion’s term for God….

And more confusing is their holy mother speaker who can’t determine which race its children should fall under….

And their holy book is also a magical wonder…… so many versions of it and none showed the original sayings of Jesus…..

I do wish these confused people stop trying to convert people with their confusing set of beliefs and let the rest of us go about our daily lives peacefully, and they and their flocks can remain happy in their confusion……

And Ms Helen, thanks for this wonderful short post….. evangelistas…. open your eyes wide and clear and use the God given brains to think and reason.

Christianity is a confused and confusing religion. It is also still unsettled i.e. it could not even tell unequivocally who god is…the very essence of a religion is godhood.

The father god is god, the son is also god. Then it has the incomprehensible and unexplainable trinitarian doctrine…. one god in 3 or 3 god in 1. But still its ex diocese, Murphy “Murky” Pakiam denies that Christians believe in many gods. DEAF DUMB AND BLIND, they could not think.

With all those confusions, they have the gall to convert others to their fake faith. To all evangelists… keep your confused doctrine within your hearts and within the confines of your churches! Don’t take them out, the whole world will get kompius!

They cant even decide their god’s name.. Vatican says something else, but in Malaysia they already said something else. We, muslim from the day we were born, our GOD is ALLAH the only one and has no child plus no WIFE.

More than two centuries ago, a devout woman in Palestine made an appeal to her Lord:

“O my Lord! Behold, to You do I vow [the child] that is in my womb, to be devoted to Thy service. Accept it, then, from me: verily, You alone art All-Hearing, All-Knowing!”

The wife of Imran was expecting a male child, whom she planned to devote to the priesthood, which was strictly reserved for males. Yet, the boy she expected turned out to be a girl. Seeing that she couldn’t make her a priest, she prayed thus to the Lord: “O my Lord! I have given birth to a female, and named her Mary. And verily, I seek Your protection for her and her offspring against Satan, the accursed.”

This story is from the 19th chapter of the Quran, which is named “Maryam”. Both Jesus Christ and his mother are very highly revered in Islam and by Muslims all over the world.

Yet, in the passage about the birth of Mary, which Catholics commemorate on December 8 in the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, there is a key passage that many translators of the Quran have completely missed despite its huge significance. The literal phrase in Arabic is “laysal dhakaru kal untha,” which means “the male is not like the female.” People have interpreted the verse like this: “But when she had given birth to the child, she said: ‘O my Lord! Behold, I have given birth to a female’—while God had been fully aware of what she would give birth to and the male is not like the female…”

The 20th century Quran translator Muhammad Asad interpreted it more astutely as:

“But when she had given birth to the child, she said: “O my Lord! Behold, I have given birth to a female”—while God had been fully aware of what she would give birth to, and that no male child [she might have hoped for] could ever have been like this female…And thereupon her Lord accepted the girl-child with goodly acceptance, and caused her to grow up in virtue… (3:35-37).”

No male child she might have hoped for could ever have been like this female, Mary. She was to be the mother of the Messiah; the Word of God, communicated unto her. Mary took on the formidable task of bearing a son without a father and having to face the utter shock and chagrin of her community.

Yet her character was so impeccable, in fact, that her people—as the Quran mentions—nicknamed her “Sister of Aaron”— not just any “Aaron,” but the brother of Moses himself. It was an enormous test, and so difficult that she cried out as Christ was being born:

“Oh, would that I had died before this, and had become a thing forgotten, utterly forgotten! (Quran 19:23).”

But, she bore the challenge with grace, faith and a fortitude that would shame most of the staunchest believers. And the Quran challenges us to be like Mary:

“And Mary, the daughter of Imran, who guarded her chastity, whereupon We breathed of Our spirit into her womb, and who accepted the truth of her Lord’s words — and His revelations —she was one of the truly devout (66:12).”

The Quran exalts the Virgin Mary as a human being permeated with God-consciousness, and presents her to all believers of every age to emulate. Truly, no male child could have been like this female, Mary.

I noticed many Indonesian maids (PATI) using different names when they come to Malaysia. They will use common Malay names such as Rosmah, Mahani, Eda and so on. Trying to disguise themselves as locals to escape from the authorities as they are illegals. I can bet the same practice must also be rampant among the Chinese and Indians who came in thru illegal means into this country.

One of our workers had to officially register his first child as his ‘adopted child’ since her birth certificate had his Indonesian name which is totally not the same as the ‘fictitious Malaysian’ name in the official documents he now carries.

His other 3 kids (born in Malaysia same mother as the first child) had his fictitious name on their birth certificate. They realised the ‘con’ when she was about to start school in our SK.

Majority of the new Christian converts in Semenanjung Malaysia are descendants of immigrants. I suppose mentality ‘con’ immigrants masih menebal dalam DNA mereka sampai nama Tuhan mereka pun duk pedo’ tak tentu arah nak juga UBAH to blend with the majorities here!

    Aiyoo.. kan lebih selesa?

FYI, the Hail Mary is only recited by Catholics. Afaik, no other denominations has specific prayers dedicated to Mary. Quite certainly Hannah would not be reciting this prayer in church or at home.

As for the translation, if I may, here’s the version normally used by Malaysian Catholics which is found in the liturgical book used by most Catholic churches in the country:

Salam Maria, penuh rahmat, Tuhan sertamu,
    terpujilah engkau di antara wanita,
    dan terpujilah buah tubuhmu, Yesus.
    Santa Maria, bunda Allah,
    doakanlah kami yang berdosa ini
sekarang dan waktu kami mati. Amin.

The translation quoted in your piece is one translated by the writer (Halimah) & I can safely say is not the version used in Catholic churches throughout the country.

Even the Jews do not proclaim Jesus pbuh is the son of Allah. Only crazy Christians. How many Gods do you want?

Does the Pope approve it. Open up bible. Allah is one and only. he is self sustained. Allah do not need to eat, sleep, drink and moreover being crucified. How could the son of God be killed. Shame on you to proclaim that.

Just stick your scriptures as being practice by your forefathers. Please use your common sense. If you believe in Allah, you must accept Mohammed as the Messenger.

Jesus is just another prophets like others. You must accept the book of revelation the Quran and called a Muslim if you believe in Allah. Good gracious don’t start a stupid idea of Allah in your God so called Bible whether King James version, Standard Revised Version or other bibles that exist in this world.

In MALAY LANGUAGE is clear that is TUHAN. No more no less. By doing so you are provoking MUSLIMS in Malaysia. STOP THAT SHIT and stick to your old version FATHER, SON AND THE HOLY GHOST. Nothing mention ALLAH. Its true ALLAH is great and almighty. Muslims all over the world been doing this for more than 1400 years.

Khalid is expected to announce his decision to go this Wednesday, according to party insiders.

They said that PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was on course to become the next Mentri Besar.

A by-election in a state seat is expected to be held to enable Anwar to join the Selangor Legislative Assembly and take over the top job.
