Yesterday there was the brouhaha of Negaraku, supposedly a “people’s movement” launched to reclaim the nation … FOR … Ambiga and her following … FROM … Isma and its cohort.
Reported in the Rakyat Times – a news portal linked to Haris Ibrahim – Negaraku is described as a movement “focused on the formation of Bangsa Malaysia – a move away from the current ethnocentric and race-based politics of of the day”.
Memang semua benda diorang nak kebas. Sampai “Negaraku” pun cuba dihakmilikkan sebagai nama gabungan NGO mereka oleh sebuah pakatan basi/baru.
And also because their Mama is beloved of the Malays for diligently wearing tudung.

Haris Ibrahim, initiator of Asalkan Bukan Umno, previously blogged his ‘ABU message : Don’t fall for the MCA hudud bogeyman‘ (24 Aug 2012). Haris had then dismissed MCA’ s hudud warnings as “cheap talk that no one in their right mind is going to fall for”.
He also highlighted Upko president Bernard Dompok’s dissent against the idea of Malaysia as an Islamic state. (more…)
Yesterday Malaysiakini ran an article headlined ‘Dr M: It’s not cronyism, we need rich people‘.
The news portal was reporting on Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s syarahan perdana titled ‘Poverty issues in Malaysia’s economic development’ delivered at the Universiti Malaya, KL.
In his speech, the Tun said:
Reacting to yesterday’s headline news on MH370, anonymous blogger ‘Hardtalk Malaysia’ wrote: “Reading the comments in Malaysiakini and Malaysian Insider, the ultimate source of information for the group who call themselves ‘Bangsa Malaisia’, I cannot help but feel scared for Malaysia”.
Today Haris Ibrahim wrote an open letter to Zahid Hamidi, published in the former’s blog The People’s Parliament.
