Tak pernah dalam sejarah negara sambutan hari kebangsaan jadi begitu kelam-kabut.

Ong Kian Ming ialah juru strategi kempen pilihanraya DAP yang sebelum ini pernah mendakwa bahawa mungkin terdapat 3.3 juta pengundi hantu dalam daftar pemilih.

Dia memetik PoliTweet sebagai berkata jumlah tweet menggunakan hashtag #Merdeka55, yang menyusut ke angka 2.2 juta selepas ditolak 38% spam, harus dipertimbangkan semula pengiktirafannya sebagai rekod dunia.

Pihak pembangkang menggambarkan diri mereka Malaysian First yang teramat cintakan negara dan perpaduan.

Namun begitu, pada tahun ini hari kebangsaan disambut secara berasingan di tapak yang lain-lain (Dataran Merdeka vs Stadium Bukit Jalil) dan pada hari berbeza pun, dengan Firsters mendahului pada lewat malam 30 Ogos.

Tahun ini juga buat pertama kalinya beberapa buah negeri yang diperintah Pakatan menggunakan logo berlainan daripada logo ciptaan kerajaan pusat.

Di samping logo 1Malaysia ditolak oleh Pakatan dan para penyokong mereka, lagu tema dan cogankata untuk ulangtahun ke-55 lahirnya negara ditolak juga.

Maka disaksikan sambutan Hari Merdeka berpecah kepada minorti dan majoriti. Umno mengglembengkan orang Melayu di stadium manakala DAP menggalakkan kaum Cina, terutamanya yang beragama Kristian, untuk keluar ke jalanan.

Ong Kian Ming menyertai orangramai yang berkumpul di gereja KL Gospel Hall untuk sama-sama berarak ke Dataran Merdeka bagi acara Janji Demokrasi.

Puak minoriti turut membawa haluan masing-masing dengan cogankata ‘Sebangsa Sejiwa Senegara’, ‘Menerajui Perubahan’ (Kedah) (Kelantan), ‘Terus Berbakti’ (Kelantan) (Kedah) dan ‘Budaya Bersih, Merdekakan Rakyat’ (Pulau Pinang).

Tapi apa yang pasti, Pakatan merupakan golongan yang selalu suka memperli dan memperlekehkan apa-apa projek muhibbah rakyat yang cuba diusahakan.

  4. I tweeted to #Merdeka55 and @NajibRazak last night. so i am not a bot and i am confident that hundreds of thousands if not million of those tweets are genuine. Bear in mind, the civil servants and umno members not to mention BN devil associates number at least 5 million, so 3 million is reasonable sampling.

    I went to a open house in sijangkang klang where the kampungs and banting town are clearly dominated by umno and bn flags. Tried to enter bukit jalil on the way back to kl but the parking was full. Tweeting was the least i could do to show that i celebrate merdeka day.

    Meanwhile the dapsters and pasters have angered the malays with the display of mutilated indonesial flag with star and crescent of the jalur gemilang while video footage of the dapster anglophiles jumping on the portrait if najib has invoked displeasure, several of my malay friends in facebook who never demonstrated their political allegiance on fb has shared the youtube and the comments were of anger towards the impudence of the bersih-infected dapsters.

    The presence of the pakatoon overlords in the national and state level celebration are mute or non existent, guess they celebrate only kim jong il birthday and anwar’s acquittal from from sodomy and jelmaan syaitan nik aziz ascendant to caliphatehood. i am sure the yeopies were somewhere acting like kids doing candle vigils or flicking their tongue under holy ghost possession at a city harvest church ..coincidentally during hungry ghost festival.

    Anyone noticed/felt the MCA presence in the national celebrations? — Helen

    1. There were a large presence of chinese school children in the stadium and in the morning celebration at dataran, possibly mibilized by MCA.

      i also saw the faces of MCA and MCA leaders and ministers are visible sitting around Najib. most prominent IMO is minister ng yen yen who imo is a very provocative minister, i have been attending the citrawarna parade since 2009 and am impressed with her enthusiasm and demeanor presence in large scale events, another prominent MCA face i know is wee ka siong, cannot miss his round face.

    There’s always 2 sides at looking into things sometimes it opens a can of worms as well. For a strategist to pick up issues as small as this, is quite pathetic la. Leave it to Rama, ok OKM? But sincerely, DAP gives chinese bad rap la – picturing the chinese as anti government, anti unity, etc.. Please la DAP, stop smearing the chinese for your disillusionment.

        Firstly, ha-ha to your request that I create a diversionary topic to bait their perpetual hysteria. Request granted in next posting coming up, and they always bite (wink).

        But what’s more interesting is that for first time, you’ve made the effort to celebrate Merdeka as a couch potato. Meaning, you’ve been galvanized to stand up and be counted.

        Allow me to speculate: You belong to the educated, professional class that has traditionally been laidback in your political views but generally inclined to pro-establishment.

        However, looking at the recent developments, you’ve been lately motivated to make more of an effort to openly express your support for the status quo (Umno + BN), whom are seen as being under siege by the rowdy behaviour of the yellow shirts.

        Sadly, the non-Christian Chinese and Indians fail to see that with their tacit support of the ABU methods, they are rousing the hitherto politically lackadaisical Malays to adopt certain positions that would not have been appealing pre-2008 (“for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”).

        When the dust settles in the aftermath of the 13th GE, the non-Christian minorities will eventually realise that they cannot dial back all the havoc that they’re wreaking now, and will have to face the consequences.

        But for the present, it’s quite impossible to reason with a group in the thick of hysterics.

        May I add that these dupes are indirectly helping the BN by making even those “atas pagar” to side with the establishment. BN should thank these dupes. If I m a Bn strategist, I would certainly do what I can to “provoke” these dupes to show more of their fangs. The more they are provoked, the more reckless they become. This will only benefit the BN more.

I believe the dapsters are horribly confused, if they think the 10k (reported by malaysiakini) yellow fever babies in dataran (disputable) are clear signs of some deluded people wanting some ambiguous change by jumping on a piece of picture, they should accept that the nearly full bukit jalil which should be at least 80k last night and the crowded merdeka celebration in the morning are clear signs that the pakatoons have a lot of people that disagree and wont vote them since people who attend the bn organized merdeka celebration are devil associates and impure to be dapsters or paster cult member… we are all nasharudin mat isa right?

  9. Agree, only the puritan pakatoons would pick on this nitty gritty issue. Pakatoons pick on this issue as they are in denial that ppl do not vote them.

    Plus even if it is a bn orchestrated show, it is for bn voters, to increase morale of the voters, most important no one got hurt, no posters of kim jong il was stomped on and most generally had a good time, who cares what pakatoons think, they stopped watching mainstream malay channels let alone any of the merdeka celebrations.

      38% = 1.37 million tweets that the critics claim are spam.

      Therefore 3.61 million (the record number) minus 1.37 million equals 2.24 legitimate tweets, and the question is whether this 2.2m is good enough to make a world record.

  13. i dont give a hoot whatever DAP said. LKS used to reject PLUS, Penang Bridge Project, KLIA, KLCC n Putra Jaya. Just imagine if the government of the day listened to whatever LKS had said…we will not had progressed at all.

    I will always remember him as the mastermind of May 13 incident.

True, pakatoon themselves tamper data or twist facts, like penang reducing debt when in actual transfer the debt to the feddies and until now the pakatoon anwaristas still cannot explain the expensive talam takeover. and twitter counts is embarrassing for bn.. yes it may be…at least bn tau malu… hahaha.

      Btw, rapidkl is launching a free inner city bus service and pakatoons are already rejoicing as they think the BN is copying the free BEST shuttle bus for the factory workers in penang…so this is the pakatoon attitude.. I am holier than thou..we started it first….true….pakatoon are the no.1 in nepotisme, family dynasty, censorship, politik gangster and stomping on pictures…being no.2 to the pakatoon in many ways (bad things) are actually good.

    Justeru kalau pembangkang ingin merasai apa yang BN rasa, pilihannya ialah buat apa yang BN buat.

    Lalu terbentuklah barisan pembangkang/Barisan Pakatan (BP)
    Susulan itu, BP mula dapat sebahagian dari apa yang BN pernah dapat .

    Peningkatan di pihak BP menyedarkan BN bahawa BP memiliki sesuatu yang BN tidak miliki.

    Setelah di tenung, BN sedar peningkatan BP sedikit sebanyak dibantu oleh penggunaan dan pemanipulasian media sosial.

    Makanya adalah logikal kalau BN buat apa yang Barisan Pakatan buat dalam konteks prasarana maya kalau mahu kemaraan Barisan Pakatan dikekang.

      Kemudiannya Umno mengeksport raja putar-belit (yang dulu milik Umno) kepada barisan pembangkang.

  17. I beg to differ when you say MCA is cina totok. MCA reminds me of the classy & learned scholars in the olden day China. I have a fortunate experience of dealing with them – polite & professional.

    CSL has more guts and balls then any of the PR politicos combined. If BN puts up an MCA candidate in my area, my vote will go to him/her. DAP, on the other hand, comes across as rude, loud and classless – no matter what’s their educatipn level. I guess it’s true that first class is inborn, you either have it or you just don’t.

  20. Pakatoon state govt in Selangor forgot to invite Sultan to state-level merdeka celebrations last Thursday night. Guess who was “guest of honour” instead?

    Something to discuss in greater length perhaps.

    1. The guest of honour was certainly not a head of state, nor an elected member of the state Assembly, nor a properly appointed state official with formal power and responsibilities (so the guy was at liberty to spew up brimstone and fire without a care for its consequences).

      He’s not even a Selangorean, not even an elected leader of PKR, if at all its member.

      So Najib was right to question the guy’s locus standi.

    Many people in PR are in denial mode. They are unable to accept reality that majority is with BN or more specifically Najib.

    But I have to thanks the morons who proudly displayed the “new Bendera” . It is a wake up for many. especially the Malays. many of them now realise the first thing to go should PR take over is “raja-raja”

    It is not coincidence that the Sultan of Selangor was intentionally sidelined on Selangor Merdeka celebration.

    And I notice PAS is on defensive mode these days. As for DAP ” kalau nama pun dah DAP , tak fitnah orang tak sah la”.

    1. While PAS & PKR will suffer setback, DAP will make gains. What will happen to Umn-MCA relations over the next 5 years until GE14 is what I’m wondering …

      Btw, did you see any Chinese adults at the Bt Jalil celebrations besides the MCA VIPs and the schoolchildren bussed there?

      1. the Chinese adults were busy with their Save Jalan Sultan and Janji Demokrasi dime a dozen stuff.

        Helen, as I have said so many times, the real battle will come during GE14, as GE13 is just a prelude of what is to come after the Chinese have marginalized themselves to the cities. It is like the Chinese Weiqi. You don’t actually defeat your rival. You contain them, they can’t break out, and as time passes by, when they are exhausted, they surrender.

        By the way, Weiqi is known as Go in Japan and Baduk In Korea.

      2. After GE14, when they truly realized that they have no other options left, they either return to their senses or they become more radical. I tend to think that most people, in desperation, will act radical, so the picture after GE14 is hot going to be pretty.

        First, when I say they will return to their senses, I m not referring to them admitting that they’ve made bad choices, rather for their self preservation.

        Two, when I say they become more radical, I refer to them being more confrontational with the establishment, this could take the form of deepening their collusion with foreign elements, not that this is going to be anything new. As we speak, they are already in bed with foreign elements.

      3. I will say that, GE14 will be their last stand. If we see GE13 as them marginalizing themselves completely, as AI said, GE14 will see them play, a game of show hand. They will play whatever cards they have left and see how the powers that be react.

        If the powers that be continue to tolerate, there will be further escalation of political tensions. If the powers that be crack down harshly on them, then it is my believe that they will back down.

        When I say “them”, I m not referring to the Opposition as a whole. I look at it and say, after GE13, PKR and PAS will be so decimated that, who knows what will happen to them while the DAP will emerge as the biggest winners. So the “them” I m referring to here is DAP. I m sure Ahmad Ibrahim will agree with me on this.

      4. Isn’t it obvious Helen, what, who else but the foreign evangelicals, plus NGOs supported by the State Department of the US Government through the National Endowment for Democracy.

        Well, we know Malaysiakini is a recipient of NED funding, plus those from SUARAM etc that are closely allied with the Opposition.

      5. This time Helen, they come with their ideology i.e democracy, human rights, free speech, religious “tolerance” etc instead of guns, cannons, bombs, not that they are different from the past.
