MCA terlalu akrab dengan tauke, menjadi “intellectually flabby” sewaktu di bawah kepimpinan Ling Liong Sik dan dipenuhi terlampau banyak ekor dinosaur tua — inilah yang diretweet The Star iPad memetik pandangan Ong Kian Ming, pengarah kempen pilihanraya DAP.
Sebab itulah agaknya Muhyiddin Yassin berkata ianya merupakan “cabaran luarbiasa” untuk menangani pengaruh media sosial.
Saluran-saluran Facebook, Twitter, YouTube dan sebagainya menjadi wadah yang berkesan untuk menghentam BN.
Bayangkan jentera media MCA, iaitu The Star versi iPad, boleh begitu seronok di Twitter memperlekehkan 1Malaysia yang mahu diganti dengan cogankata lain, menyergah suratkhabar Utusan (“print outrageous lies”) dan memburuk-burukkan polis (“beats up journalists at public rallies”).

Timbalan Perdana Menteri berkata BN berhadapan dengan situasi dunia baru alam maya di mana media sosial mempunyai pengaruh yang lebih kuat daripada media tradisional.
(BN juga berhadapan dengan situasi ditikam belakang oleh Gunting dalam Lipatan.)
Inilah yang dikatakan oleh TPM (ruj. komen kesat di atas tercatat dalam YouTube sebagai respons kepada ucapan Muhyiddin) — budaya mencarut yang menular di media sosial.
Selain maki-hamun, ada sekelompok Facebooker telah memuatkan gambar Najib Razak yang memaparkan kesan tapak kasut pada wajahnya.
Politik benci amat ketara di media sosial yang rata-rata dikuasai jentera Pakatan beserta jentera MCA yang sedap-sedap mempromosi personality cult DAP.
Sebab itulah DAP baru-baru ini melantik juru strategi media sosial, Yeo Bee Yin, untuk mempergiatkan lagi asakan bala tentera siber parti mereka. Saya tidak akan hairan pun sekiranya The Star mencanang-canangkan nama Bee Yin nanti atas sebab dia Kristian (evangelis) — elemen yang menepati minat dan citarasa suratkhabar tersebut.
Manakala itu, Chua Soi Lek pula mendedahkan:
“Because the Opposition is so successful in inciting hatred against Barisan Nasional leaders, many of those who attend political functions do not want to even shake our hands.”
Dr Chua harus sedar bahawa suratkhabar milik partinya turut memupuk anasir-anasir media sosial yang menghasut orangramai untuk membenci kerajaan dan mempersendakan orang BN. (Tan Keng Liang yang dicerca dalam talian Twitter The Star ialah ketua pemuda Gerakan Kedah.)
The Star mengelolakan rancangan ‘On the Spot’ pada iPad untuk mempromosi ‘personaliti’ Twitter.
Pilihan-pilihan akhbar itu nyata condong kepada politikus pembangkang dan penggiat politik pro-Pakatan termasuk juga seorang yang telah menggelar Chua Soi Lek sebagai “penzina” dan sibertrooper BN sebagai khusyuk kepada topik seks songsang dan lucah (“porn”), baca sini.
The Star iPad merupakan lapangan syok sendiri bagi orang pembangkang. Yang ‘best’nya ia dibiayai MCA.
MCA penuh dengan “dinosaur tua”, mengikut tweet oleh akhbar miliknya. Perlu diingati bahawa dinosaur telah pupus dari muka bumi.
Kalau MCA berasa terdorong untuk menjadi spesi yang pupus, itu hal dia. Jangan membebankan parti-parti rakan dan membiarkan kakitangan media Star untuk menyerang BN dengan sewenang-wenangnya sudah.

In my opinion, MCA is not filled with dinosaur. It is filled with seasoned politician. Most of them are busy people looking after the welfare of chinese community.

Menurut Spielberg, dinasour sememangnya masih ada yakni tidak pupus. Saki baki dinosaur masih terdapat di lautan, hutan belantara dan di kawasan gurun terpencil iaitu terpisah jauh dari tamadun manusia.
Dalam konteks dinosaur yang ditwitkan itu, spesis tertua bukanlah yang terdapat di pantai barat tetapi di sebelah timur semenanjung. Meskipun paling tua, dinosaur ini masih mampu membuktikan bahawa tidak semua dinosaur akan pupus.
Rahsianya bukanlah rahsia. Semua dinosaur, baik muda atau tua tahu rahsia tersebut tetapi tak semua dinosaur muda mampu lakukannya apatah lagi yang tua.
Nah, keistimewaan dinosaur tertua dalam menguasai dua alam iaitu nyata dan maya, sukar ditandingi oleh dinosaur yang sezaman dengannya. Paling istimewa ialah bilamana usia bukan halangan untuk dinosaur dara, janda dan andalusia mendapat bimbingan dan panduan.
Dinosaurs are usually people stuck in past mentality and unable to change, hence in private sector, dinosaurs refer to old timer managers or directors who just come to work, refuse to implement new ideas and just wait for retirement, it seems MCA leaderships or most of it are in the comfort zone of pragmatism where they think their fortune will always favour them whether be it bn or pakatan, in the end, they can all go to church and stretch their hands to the lim dynasty anytime when bn falls.

What MCA has done for the Chinese community is incomparable to the DAPsters; DAPsters offer hell a lot of peanuts, holier-than thou talks and propagate hatred against the govt of the day and whoever pro-BN. They can’t even do 1/8 of what MCA has done for Malaysia and the Chinese and yet the Chinese (youngster) simply couldn’t put-on their thinking hats and start real thinking…
most of these youngsters cannot think. look at it this way. these youngsters have had it easy. their parents give them what they want. money, entertainment etc. they never worked for anything, everything is handed to them by their doting parents.
with this kind of upbringing, what do you expect from them ? these people, when they need help, they go to MCA. come election day, they vote DAP. so that tells you a lot about the character of these people.
Who cares about the Chinese anymore? Even if 99.99% of Chinese vote DAP, the Maths just doesn’t add up. Everyone knows that this time around the Malay votes are the game changer and Malays will vote UMNO and BN en mass.
The silent Malay wave will strike really hard on PAS and PKR candidates. PAS can’t even sack Nasha, [or] the “adulterer”, that said enough of PAS’ desperation right now. Poor Chinese voters, marah tak bertempat, ingat kan pandai, rupanya mabuk juga macam Melayu.
So start planning for things to do post-GE13 with Najib as PM.
you’re spot on. but the thing is, there is a believe, a misplaced believe among the Chinese that the Malays will vote for the opposition. from my conversation with the Chinese, they seemed, and they are convinced that the Malays will vote for the opposition because they think that the Malays too have had enough of the ruling coalition and that they too want change.
as you said, they are drunk. after the GE, they may have to check in for rehab. but then again, we have to ask really, can rehab fix their looming problem of being sidelined, marginalized by the rest of Malaysia politically, economically ?

Yes sir. Chinese based their assumptions after reading STAR, Malaysiakini. Their view on Malays mirror what Malaysiakini, STAR said all along about Malays.
They do not realise that vast majority of Malays think differently. They do not understand the importance of Anwar accepting the challenge to “bersumpah”. Which is actually seen by Muslims around the world as ultimate act of honesty. Which is why UMNO gains higher moral ground here. Whatever you said about Najib, he swore by Quran, a big act that tells a lot. My advice to Anwar if you want to defeat UMNO, go swear before Friday Prayers in Masjid Negara. Invite all reporters from around the world. Swear weekly if you can. I guarantee that the ground will desert UMNO. BUT ARE YOU ANWAR IS WILLING TO DO THAT? WHAT ARE YOU HIDING FROM US?
They (the Chinese) do not realise that in many by-elections between UMNO and PAS, Malay shares of votes is leaning towards UMNO. In Bukit Gantang even when PAS wins, the share of Malay votes for UMNO increases. In Manik Urai in the heart of PAS bastion, Kelantan, UMNO loses just with 45 votes.
In Bagan Pinang, UMNO trounces PAS with significant majority.
These Chinese people refuse to realise that PAS looks bad from Malays’ view. PAS seems to obey Ambiga more than Yang diPertuan Agong. Finally BERSIH 3 came along. And many were upset to see how rude these protesters can be.
My point is that Chinese must realise that they ALONE cant dictate the election result. Continuing to reject UMNO overtures again and again may backfire. Already Malays have been warning all these Ketua Bahagian UMNO not to field non-Malay candidates in Malay majority areas.
Exactly that happened in Behrang. The goodwill has been stretched to far.
It is time for Chinese to show willingness to accept alliance with UMNO. No big deal if they wont. They can vote themselves out of govt. Should Chinese in next election backs DAP again, Najib will be forced to exclude MCA totally from Cabinet JUST TO PLEASE MALAYS who support him. They will say “padan muka. bAgi macam-macam pada Cina. Tapi mereka tak bersyukur”.
But of course, you will not hear UMNO says like that before MCA. The message however is clear. It takes two to tango. Just as UMNO needs Chinese votes, let us not forget the more crucial issue which is that the reverse is much more the truth.
