Saya salin tampal di bawah sebuah rencana yang diterbitkan di akhbar The Star hari ini (Khamis, 13 Sept 2012) bertajuk ‘Art competition a big hit‘.

The 17th Subang Jaya Children’s Art Competition is expected to be a big hit among the children.
Organisers are hoping to get at least 500 participants.
Due to the overwhelming response from participants in previous years, the organisers have also opened the competition to children who are not residing in Subang Jaya.
The annual event is organised by Rukun Tetangga USJ2 and USJ6 with Petronas, Summit and the Fire and Rescue Services Department as co-sponsors.

Organising chairman Ang How Chuan said the event would be held at noon on Oct 6 at the Summit Subang in USJ1.
He said based on feedback from past competitions, there were many children living outside Subang Jaya who were also interested in participating.
“I hope parents who live outside Subang Jaya will take advantage of this year’s event by enrolling their children for the competition that will be held next month.
“Certainly, the participation of children from outside Subang Jaya will add more colour to the event,’’ he said
Ang said the theme of this year’s art competition “Our Firemen, Our Hero”, was carefully chosed in line with the RTs objective of promoting community togetherness.
He said they expected the children to use their creativity to come up with drawings that would reflect the role of firemen as their heroes.
“This will encourage them to think about the work of a fireman as well as to further appreciate the contribution of firemen in the community.
Subang Jaya assemblyman Hannah Yeoh, who commended the RT for organising the annual art competition, said the event was one of the major programmes in the constituency.
She said the RT had done a great job and hoped they would continue to organise the event in the future.
“I would also like to thank the sponsors of this event as it will not be successful without their strong backing,” she said.

Adakah anda merasa bahawa Adun Subang Jaya tersebut wajib untuk dipetik kata-katanya dalam laporan suratkhabar milik MCA itu?
Gambar di atas menunjukkan ahli-ahli jawatankuasa pengelola pertandingan lukisan kanak-kanak dan Hannah Yeoh tidak ada dalam gambar. Maksudnya dia tidak menyumbangkan apa-apa tenaga kerja bagi menjayakan program.
Dalam laporan pun tidak disebut pun bahawa dia ada menderma apa-apa dari segi peruntukan wang atau dalam bentuk hadiah. Acara itu dianjurkan oleh Rukun Tetangga dan ditaja oleh Petronas, kompleks membeli-belah Summit dan Jabatan Bomba.
Namun nama Hannah memang tidak lekang dari bibir suratkhabar The Star 24/7. Dalam minggu ini sahaja, Hannah Yeoh telah muncul 4 kali.
Malah The Star sama sekali tidak berminat untuk membuat liputan tentang kegiatan-kegiatan Beliawanis, dan ia tampak seolah-olah sayap pemudi MCA itu pun sudah pupus — seperti juga “dinosaur-dinosaur tua” yang menjadi tonggak parti induk.
Versi talian (online) The Star dalam iPad telah menggelar MCA sebagai sebuah parti yang mempunyai “terlampau banyak dinosaur tua” dalam retweetnya.
Sekiranya jentera media MCA mahu menggelar tuannya sebagai parti yang hanya menunggu saat pupus, itu hal dalaman mereka.
Yang menjadi masalah ialah anggota-anggota BN lain, mahu tak mahu, akan terpalit lumpur sebagai suatu perikatan politik yang ketinggalan zaman.
Apa agenda tersirat yang dibawa akhbar itu?

Why should the star feature something that has no newsworthy? Star news to make profit. Covering MCA with the morally tainted MCA president will bring nothing positive to the star’s bottom line. Star is not toilet paper like utusan.

pertandingan melukis peringkat daerah di adakan di mana-mana dari setahun ke setahun yakni bukan di Subang Jaya saja.
kalaulah acara sebegini layak dijadikan berita nasional eloklah sekiranya STAR berlaku adil kepada penganjur di lain-lain kawasan.
jika tidak pembaca STAR berhak untuk memboikot surat khabar ini kerana amalkan sifat pilih bulu.
Hehe.. masa baca memang saya jangkakan nama selebriti kesukaan The Star ada terselit dan sohih ada walaupun sikit sahaja tetapi tetap ada tanpa gagal..

Helen don’t you know that Subang Jaya is the center of the universe ? The Star sees fit to cover this Arts by DAP but fails to report the statements of their own party president.
As I said, the Rocket has reached the Star,,,oops,,,the Star has come to the Rocket,
maybe, just maybe MCA has formed an alliance with DAP behind the scenes. All the ‘dinosaur’ comments are just to throw other BN allies off the track. I cannot believe that anyone from MCA did not see what the Star is doing.
