The most aggressive and vicious cyber bullying is carried out by DAPsters against MCA people, against anyone that poses a threat to the Pakatan march to Putrajaya and against critics of Lim Guan Eng and his coterie.
DAPster cyber thuggery is a reflection of the way they behave in the ‘real’ world.
The sheer nastiness and contempt for others that they exhibit in cyberspace is a true reflection of their ‘real’ thoughts and attitude offline.
Selangor Beliawanis chief Jessie Ooi was targetted by cyber bullies after she posed a hostile question to Lim Guan Eng during his first debate with Dr Chua Soi Lek.
Recalling her ordeal, Jessie Ooi said that members of the public – i.e. the Tokong worshippers – sent SMSes and commented on her FaceBook page that they wanted to “hit” her husband’s company.
The cyber bullies created fake Facebook account(s) by using Jessie’s family photos. They spread the viral nickname “Ms Tow Truck” that had been maliciously pinned on her.
She collated up to 300 offensive SMSes that were sent to her and made a police report.
Yet the so-called MCA-owned paper had the gall to title its story on Jessie as ‘Lesson well learnt‘.
This headline is absolutely
senseless incredulous and insulting to boot. Does The Star imply that Jessie Ooi had learned that it’s very costly to be harassed by DAPster gangsters? And the lesson taught is that anyone daring to criticize the Pakatan gods must be willing to pay the price?
(The Jessie Ooi ‘Lesson well learnt’ headline is as much a bizarre, gobsmacking understatement as the other Star headline saying ‘Verbal clash’ when the photographs all show the senior citizen had been bullied in a DAP neighbourhood.)
Jessie was even attacked by the Penang Municipal Council that was used as a political vehicle to carry out Guan Eng’s personal vendetta after having placed his loyalists in the MPPP.
The Star did not do any follow-up story on the various harassment of Jessie Ooi despite that she’s an MCA Beliawanis state chief.
Tee Hooi Ling
Its national chief Tee Hooi Ling became a victim of the cyber bullies when doctored pornographic photos of ‘her’ were posted online.
As can be seen from her photo, Hooi Ling looks attractive but this didn’t stop the usual DAPster cocked-eye malice when they commented in their favourite cyber dens: “Lu bukan cantik, apa pasal orang mau ‘bogelkan’ you?”
She made a police report.
The Star did not do any follow-up story on the cyber sexual harassment of Hooi Ling despite that she’s the Beliawanis president and the newspaper carries sex stories every single day. See screenshot below of Star Online’s most viewed article today.
Tan Cheng Liang
As Wanita MCA Penang chief, she is situated in the epicentre of the DAPster lala land and the Komtar hit squad headquarters.
I won’t bother repeating here the things said about her in the DAPster smear campaign. They are too vile.
However the harassment of Tan Cheng Liang extended beyond the virtual world and to the physical realm where she spoke at a forum. Fearing for her safety, she once had to be escorted to her car after giving the public talk.
I have previously proposed that MCA conduct an internal audit by asking its leaders whether they feel that The Star has given party folks fair coverage compared to that extended the paper’s favourite evangelistas.
Indeed Tan Cheng Liang should be the first one interviewed by any MCA audit team.
Please do ask her whether she thinks The Star has been at all supportive of her as someone ranking high up on the DAPster hit list.
For the info of any prospective MCA auditors, the DAP evangelist personality cult promotion has reached the level of a Star editor giving a tip-off to the Subang Jaya Adun.
Of course the girl was not a porn star! It was pure slander. Just like the type of fitnah DAPsters have no compunction about spreading.
But get this: The Star actually invited a woman who had tweeted this following message – “#FACT Chua Soi Lek is an adulterer” – to serve as moderator in the paper’s Twitter programme.
(The Star-iPad sessions often provide positive publicity to boost the social media profile of the paper’s favourite DAP icons as well as provide airtime to foreign-funded NGOs that slam the government.)
And The Star publishes nothing on DAPsters
I’ve previously observed the all quiet on The Star front when the rest of the mainstream media had pursued the ustaz Nasha story.
Guan Eng’s political secretary Zairil Khir Johari himself joined the fray to take on a blogger who made some very mild criticism about his boss’ role in the land deals.
The Star has contributed practically nothing in terms of column inches to address the bullying that DAP supporters and cybertroopers are carrying out with a vengeance.
They have been terrorizing netizens but The Star resolutely prefers to promote the evangelistas. Here’s why — ‘PLS READ: Reason dinosaurs become extinct‘
The screenshot above shows a tweet made by Beliawanis national treasurer Jessica Lai calling Ong Kian Ming (DAP election strategist) and Hannah Yeoh “SuperCyber Bullies”.
Yet someone identified as a DAP SuperCyber Bully by MCA’s own Beliawanis office holder is still lavished the most glowing attention daily by The Star.
MCA seems adamant on continuing to close one eye to all the spanner in the works within its media machinery. Although the Chinese party may harbour a death wish, it doesn’t mean the other BN components have to play along.
