Teks: RASULULLAH SAW KEKASIH ALLAH

(13 Rabiul Awwal 1434H)

Sidang Jumaat Yang Dirahmati Allah,

Sidang Jumaat Yang Dirahmati Allah,

Sidang Jumaat Yang Dirahmati Allah,

Sidang Jumaat Yang Dirahmati Allah,

Bayangkan akibatnya.

Sidang Jumaat Yang Dirahmati Allah,

Sidang Jumaat Yang Dirahmati Allah,

Extremism is fire unquenchable, Osama bin Laden and the Taliban are the fire the CIA used to fight the Soviets which ended up pulling the silly American Empire into spending two trillion dollars in wars in Iraq and Afganistan which until now have not been resolved.

Bigoted Malay Muslims? Go ahead my Malaysiakini friends, make our day.

Followed by ‘unconstitutional’, ‘authoritarian’, ‘anti Freedom of Speech’, ‘oppressing the Christians’.

Then, they will get Najib to ensure that their rights to faith are not undermine, bla bla bla..

It’s the same recycled scripts – over and over and over again.

“They” already said that (Jakim balaci Umno, blah, blah, blah) just that I didn’t mention above b’cos I wanted to keep the posting focused solely on the Jakim text.

They also demanded for Jakim to be investigated under sedition for sowing “hatred”. Malas saya salin-tampal their Politics of Love but you can find the comments at the usual watering holes.

But why are they listening to or reading JAKIM? JAKIM is under the YDPA who is the head of Islam and Muslims and anything he says directly or through his agents that does not relate to non-Muslims should be ignored. Isn’t that their official stand, that they do not have to listen to what HRH has to say if it is about Islam? I don’t see any names mentioned there.

So just ignore, can or not? But of course, I’m sure this will trigger another round of what anakjamil describes above. Maybe we should clarify. The above khutbah is not a call to fight against anyone. It’s a call to remember our duties as Muslims and to unite. As long as they keep calling for unity, the dapsters don’t have anything to worry about.

However, it has become clear that Father Andrew and his followers are a bunch of troublemakers who just have problems abiding the law. They cannot let Malaysians of all religions live peacefully like we always do. They just have to pick a fight on the Muslims just for the fun of it. They must drag the world into their game, as spectators and judges.

There is no way to explain their stubbornness when they cannot give even one good reason why the Christians suddenly feel the need to give their God a name that is, the same name as the Muslim’s? In their argument, they say that ‘Allah’ is a common God to all religions and there shouldn’t be any issue on whatever we call Him.

Using the same argument, the Muslims asked, “if ‘name’ is not an issue why not just use any other name that does not offend anybody?”

Police have indicated that they’re going to investigate civil liberties lawyer Eric Paulsen for tweeting: “Jakim is promoting extremism every Friday”.

Jakim had previously said in its Friday sermon on 25 Jan 2013: “… hari ini musuh-musuh Islam cuba memesongkan dan meruntuhkan akidah ummah”.

The topic of “enemies of Islam” has been brought up in the sermons more than once.

Jakim has, in its sermons, quoted verses from the Quran cautioning against deceitful machinations by the Jews and the Christians.

The Jakim reminder about “memesongkan dan meruntuhkan akidah ummah” was referring to the misuse of kalimah Allah

Is Eric Paulsen implying that quoting verses from the Quran (that warn against the Yahudi and Christians who try to deceive the ummah) is actually “promoting extremism”?

I try to listen to khutbah Jumaat whenever I can manage it. RTM/AlHijrah normally broadcast live Friday prayers. I have yet to hear a khutbah telling Malay Muslims to persecute or oppress non-Muslims even at the height of the kalimah Allah issue.

So, this is my take on that twit Eric Paulsen’s tweet.
      A. As a Christian (based on his name) evangelist (based on his close association with dapsters), he is upset and jealous that the Muslims are allowed to broadcast on Islam on public tv while they can’t. (Who cares about the Constitutional position of Islam, right?)

      B. Paulsen is hoping he’ll be charged under the Sedition Act. So many of his comrades have been charged, he’s feeling left out. If he is charged, his group LforL can hopefully get worldwide recognition. If Paulsen is charged, as Ambiga said they can get the courts to scrutinise all of Jakim’s khutbah and of course they are confident that the courts will sympathise with them.

      C. Paulsen is maybe hoping that some Malay would mengamuk, or Ibrahim Ali would slap him, so he can point out to the world that the Malay Muslims or Perkasa are truly extremist.

      D. Paulsen is a media whore.

      E. All of the above

MiM blog posted a title list of Friday sermons here. http://novandri.blogspot.com/2015/01/bukti-khutbah-jumaat-di-mana-eric.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+blogspot%2FJcvMw+%28Dr+MiM%29

        He’s PKR, methinks.

re: “he is upset and jealous that the Muslims are allowed to broadcast on Islam on public tv while they can’t.”

He comes across as anti-organized religion (not just specifically anti-ostad alone).

re: ” (c) Paulsen is maybe hoping that some Malay would mengamuk”

Dah. I’m taken aback by the concerted backlash and death threats. But I don’t reckon anyone seriously wants to kill him.

re: ” (d) Paulsen is a media whore”

He’s smart but still, he got the Friday sermon so wrong. His big, blind spot could be due to his ABU obsession.

I believe it all started towards the end of TDM era. They hated TDM with a vengeance. I do believe that if they had formed the government then, they would have dragged the grand old man in chains throughout KL, that’s how deep their hatred for the old man is.

When TDM sacked AI, it gave their hatred an outlet, so they stepped behind AI regardless whether they believe in his innocence or not or if they even liked or trusted him. So when PR was formed it gave them a political platform enabling them to gain a B-I-G-G-E-R voice and a legitimate presence.

Then you have all the other riff-raffs joining for their own personal/political gain and that’s how the biggest I’m-holier/better-than-thou group gain credence to dictate to the country on how malays should behave, how government should be run and how everyone should do as they as they say but not as they do.

Did you see how the alternative media is trying to spin on Paulsen’s provocative twit? They claim that it was “cheeky/in jest” but I see neither of that as his message is very clear and he was certainly not joking.

His accusation of JAKIM is very extreme and in some countries he might be thrown into jail for making such defamatory and ill-intentioned accusation. I see sinister intention behind the timing and content of his twit, probably he’s trying to link JAKIM with the Charlie incident in Paris and portray JAKIM as a sort of IS.

I fully support if IGP & AG come down hard on his because if he gets away with it, I bet my last ringgit that the rest of PR leaders and their machais in NGOs will be issuing similarly provocative statements.

I think Najib’s government’s liberal policy was taken advantage by the NGOs and PR to create tension and friction among the races and religious groups – deliberately. The same thing happened under Pak Lah when his willingness to tolerate free speech was take advantage of by the Christian evangelists and NGOs to spread chaos. Najib got to be careful not to allow this to repeat.

Najib’s move to repeal IS and RRA and so on backfired badly. Not only that he was never given any credit for the loosening of these controls, these NGOs and PR created numerous issues and undermined BN with their new found freedom.

As such the decision to retain the Sedition Act was timely and correct. Not so much in the act itself, but to send the message that Najib the nice guy is no longer will be so nice. Nothing sends the message more clearer than a bunch of NGOs activists and PR leaders being sent to jail.

A naughty boy puts his hand into a cage with a fierce doberman and provokes the doberman.
    The doberman bites the boy.
We shoot the doberman and pray for the boy.

Not logical. Yes. We reward bad behavior. Satire is bad behavior and we side we them. Remember Namewee, Onederful Malaysia, Bah Kut Teh. All supposedly done in fun.

If you want to pray, pray for the innocent police and supermarket customers. Not for the cartoonist, sorry.

Satire and comedy has their limits. This is the response from a Catholic group on the Charlie incident.

An American group that claims to represent the interests of US Catholics has criticised the French magazine where 12 people were killed yesterday, arguing that the victims “provoked” their own slaughter.

In a statement released yesterday headlined “Muslims are right to be angry”, Bill Donohue, the president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, accused Charlie Hebdo of “intolerance” and its journalists’ “disgusting record” of playing a role in causing their own death.

“Killing in response to insult, no matter how gross, must be unequivocally condemned. That is why what happened in Paris cannot be tolerated. But neither should we tolerate the kind of intolerance that provoked this violent reaction,” he said in a statement.”

        ….
““Stephane Charbonnier, the paper’s publisher, was killed today in the slaughter. It is too bad that he didn’t understand the role he played in his tragic death.

“Had he not been so narcissistic, he may still be alive,” he said.

Mr Donohue cited cartoons of nuns masturbating and popes wearing condoms, as well as depictions of the prophet Mohammed in “pornographic poses”.

Great to have that coming from a Catholic.

There are other non-mainstream media, non-Muslim western writers who have refused to go along with this “Je suis Charlie” herd.

          http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/

On the other hand, many in Malaysian mainstream and especially alternative media have gone along with this charade.

Race and religion are sensitive matters,so it is best not to deliberately offend people by mocking race and religion.

Otherwise, satirical publications can make fun of politicians, social attitudes and so forth all they want but lay off race and religion alone.

            http://www.malaysia-today.net/this-weeks-charlie-hebdo-to-feature-mohammed-cartoons/

‘Charlie Hebdo was, for many, a symbol of Islamophobia, its cartoon depictions of the prophet Mohammed less an exercise in political courage than a gratuitous provocation of a marginalized religious group that has long been made to feel unwelcome in France.’

“Many view [the Charlie Hebdo cartoons] as pure racism dressed up as satire.”

‘Many of Charlie Hebdo’s cartoons with Islamic themes are dumb, crudely executed, and not particularly witty (though the humor may have been lost in translation). But I don’t know if the “racist” label fits.’

‘Crude representations of Islam are common in Europe today, as extremist politicians exploit nativist resentments by doom-saying unchecked Muslim immigration to Europe as the harbinger of a demographic shift that will inevitably lead to the imposition of Sharia law across the continent.’

Can one go on vilifying and scandalizing people’s mother and father, and brother and sister, and beloved Prophet for years and years, making good money out of vile cartoons, and keep on doing it till kingdom comes? Not every Muslim is a radical suicide bomber, far from it . . .

re: “making good money out of vile cartoons”

From the wall-to-wall media the last few days, it has emerged that Charlie Hebdo was on the verge of bankruptcy.

So the cartoonists were not making good money nor even profits.

The French cartoonists and writers were doing it for perjuangan sake (read how Stephane Charbonnier’s girlfriend described him).

Inasmuch as the jihadis were fighting in the name of Islam, the Charlie Hebdo crew were fighting to defend French values of liberty, secularism, etc with the knowledge that their lives were on the line.

They had been consistently receiving death threats, their office had been arson attacked once before and Charbonnier, like Salman Rushdie, had a death fatwa on his head (and even at the time of the killing was under police protection).

Unlike The J-Star, French paper Charlie Hebdo wore their real colours on their sleeves. They were open and proud about what they stood for.

Meanwhile the EvangeliSTAR puts on a fake face and bermuka-muka like the proverbial talam with two faces.

They operate much as Gunting dalam Lipatan dengan membaling batu, sorok tangan. Their Voices of Moderation labels a section of the Malaysian population as “racists”, “extremists” and “religious bigots”.

Well, we know which segment of our society the Nest of Evangelistas is targetted despite their madah berhelah, i.e. tanam tebu tepi bibir while at the same time poisoning the well.

Mulan, the funny thing is that these Dapsters think the Namawee and Teresa’s videos to be satirical and funny. They think there should be free criticism of Malays and Islam and puzzled why people get upset when this is done.

However, when some unknown Malay HM or NGO leader makes some statement questioning the Chinese, they get so upset and there will be a massive uproar.

Now Paulsen claims to have death threats from “UMNO cyber troopers”. Strange, I didn’t know UMNO cyber troopers have IDs displayed together with their messages, making it convenient for Paulsen to identify them easily.

If you read the news, nobody made any threats just pointing out that Paulsen will be dead if JAKIM is really promoting extremism.

If your behaviour pun melampau, when others did the same, their very own version of melampau, what do you expect, for them to insult your religion, they simply were not brought up that way. The religion does not allow it too. Thus they hurl threats and what not. The only way they know how. Hey, not all Muslims are as educated as Paulsen and Ambiga! They are pretty straight forward too. They maybe naive but ikhlas nevertheless.

Their supporters will say the government is authoritarian, dictatorial and so on. Then they will send out flyers to the foreign press and press their story to the rest of the world. With the Charlie Hebdo incident, they will then say ‘see, these people are intolerant’.

I wonder what “moderation” means. I think it means the right of the middle class to provoke and humiliate members of society who do not think like that as they have been CHOSEN to be righteous and have a moral monopoly of society.

They have a right to comment and judge as they have been CHOSEN. Other have no right to comment as any thoughts by non-moderates are villainous and vile.

        http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/highlight/2015/01/10/say-no-to-islamic-state-once-and-for-all/

This one line of argument sums up the state of the Malaysian Chinese mind

“It is shocking and unbelievable that a set of cartoons on Islam can trigger such a horrific response. Anyone who has been to Europe or the United States and read their papers or been to their theatres knows that poking fun, insulting and sometimes defaming subjects or people that are in the public eye goes on all the time. This is an important part of the freedom of expression. It is integral to western civilization and democracy. It is a system which is not only subscribed to by western nations but also by the non-west countries that want to follow the western model of progress.”

The argument that only a banana can make. This is not shocking. They are more white than the white. They look at the white man with awe. Typical mentality of a people whose mind is colonized.

That will depend on what sort of Chinese Russell Peters is making fun of. The banana type won’t mind Peters doing a gig at the Chinese because they are honorary white. In fact they may well join in the gig at the Chinese. Chinese in name and looks but with the mind of a white.

Then you have the other type of Chinese who are schooled in the vernacular medium. This group will respond angrily on social media if they know some westerner is taking a jab at them. This group is occasionally irrational, emotional at times. Their reaction to being called “pendatang” is one such example.

DAP evangelistas have thrown Eric Paulsen to the wolves because his boo-boo is something that will cost the greedy evangelical party Malay votes should they be seen by the Muslims to appear to stand in solidarity with him.

The only folks who showed up at the candlelight vigil are the ever reliable PSM people and the activist Melayus – Hisham Rais and Adam Adli. Photos here, here.

NGOs like Lawyers to Liberty are useful to advance the opposition cause and put the DAP in positions of power. Recall how greedy the DAP is to the extent that they wanted to grab the post of Selangor Deputy Speaker from PAS’s share of the Pakatan pie.

Imagine that! Just to line the pocket of a DAP politician, DAP Selangor even wanted the Azmin administration to create a new post of Selangor Deputy Speaker II – which is redundant – in the DUN.

The upshot is that when you (meaning Eric Paulsen) get into trouble, you’re all alone babe.

Don’t expect the DAP evangelistas to be anywhere within a mile in your hour of need despite that all the NGO anti-Umno activism is to the DAP’s benefit and gain.

Remember it is a sin to be their customers just like a sin to see a prostitute or buy drugs. Boycott these traders in respect of race, religion or size.

It is our crusades and jihad over greedy traders!
