No DAP, No Hysteria
Ingat lagi tak betapa histeria si Dapster-Dapster tentang bahaya Lynas?
Cuba baca berita Malaysiakini kelmarin berjudul, ‘Wong Tack ‘alu-alu’ Lynas jika ia guna ‘pintu depan’.’
Bukankah Wong Tack pernah ugut mahu membakar loji Lynas?
Sekarang Malaysiakini melaporkan pula, ‘Wong Tack welcomes Lynas, if it uses ‘frontdoor’.
Kata rencana Malaysiakini, “Had Lynas went through the proper channels to prove without a doubt that its rare earth refinery was safe, Himpunan Hijau chairperson Wong Tack would have no problems with it.”
Anwar Ibrahim juga dipetik sebagai berkata: “If Lynas can come out with a convincing argument that there is no risk to the people’s safety and security, I will be the first to champion the plant there.”
Manakala Guan Eng dipetik sebagai berkata: ‘Lynas should be given a fair chance to explain themselves before a new government shuts its plant down.”
Mampukah MCA mempertahankan Bentong?
What kind of people are they?
Undang-undang rimba Dapster
Dr Looi Hoong Wah ada mengomen:
“The anti-Lynas Red Guards have deployed an army of cyber harassers and cyber thugs in all the Malaysian blogs and other news media to intimidate anyone who oppose them and they are very successful so far.”

Keh keh keh… pakatan rosak!
he looks like a dapster, sounds like a dapster and even smells like a dapster but he’s not a dapster.he certainly learns a lot from anwar…
Excellent point regarding Hindraf and the politics of the DAP. I dare say Hindraf has made some pretty provocative statements on race relations but post Waytha return has refined its polemics to a more middle ground-ish tone.
Wong threatens an act of violence against property whereas Waytha “threatens” violence against himself. I guess social activism crossing into the political is allowed only if one is Chinese.
In a time where cyberbullying is a serious issue being debated all over the world esp in the American social and political scene (which the DAP makes constant reference to) the DAP’s silence on the conduct of its own supporters, says a lot about it’s principles and ethics.
Remember when Palin went on about blood libel when her ads and supporters “targetted” a political rival who then got shot. Then there is the other side where DNC supporters harass conservative partisans with threats of mass protests.
In both these cases the leadership of the DNC and GOP responded to the controversies decrying the behaviour of their supporters but also engaging in a debate about free speech and the internet.
No such thinking with the DAP. All lies are acceptable in the pursuit of Putrajaya. The Lynas Red Guards did their job. Harass and libel anyone who dissents. The success of Wong is built on lies, hate and if these are the types of leaders who JomUbah advocates, then one more reason for people like me to abstain from voting.
I drew a line on the sand when it comes to UMNO/BN a long time ago. Strangely enough I see the faint outline of another one forming.
Coming back to Hindraf, I remember warning my friends who supported the group to be wary of Pakatan back in 2008. I remember Karpal and LKS coming to Penang to hold a special ceramah in support of Hindraf. During the campaign for 2008 GE, DAP and PKR invited Hindraf leaders to give speeches and urged Indians to vote for Pakatan.
Even though I never supported Hindraf, I support a more assertive stance for Indians which MIC failed to provide. I had predicted that once GE’s over, Indians will be shuffled aside. But those friends did not listen and were still in honeymoon period when Prof Rama, one of the key figures behind Hindraf, became the DCM2.
However, the whole thing turned sour when Rama himself made a massive u-turn and claimed that he’s a Bangsa Malaysian and cannot do anything special for Indians and they have comply with DAP’s mantra of meritocracy. Things really took a dive when KBP was destroyed and soon the honeymoon was over.
One of the reasons why Hindraf imploded after GE was due to the fact that many of Hindraf leaders were actually Pakatan leaders who jumped on the bandwagon to harvest the anti-BN sentiments and gain extra seats on Hindraf factor. But once GE was over, they abandoned Hindraf and in fact turned hostile to them.
Even among the Hindraf 5, people like Manoharan and Ganabatirau are DAP leaders while Kenghadaran is from PKR. The moment they were released, they disassociated with Hindraf policies but continued to use/hijack Hindraf’s name to gain votes.
I think we will find more common ground than you think. Although we may not be on the same page when it comes to Hindraf, we both agree that Indians must be more assertive. I view Hindraf as a means not an end.
I am in complete agreement with what you just described. I too expressed skepticism with PR after having been involved with DAP and PAS and then much later PKR and their overtures in those heady days leading up to March 08′.
For anyone keeping score, I was “with” the opposition back in the good old days, when even Dr. Chandra’s rethoric was much different and he made much of our yearning to make Malaysia a different place, a better place in spite of our differing religions and race. Anyways…..
To relate your point back to Lynas. When this issue was burning, I warned my pro opposition/Himpunan Hijau friends that this was all a smokescreen. I told them to do their own research, starting with Doctor Looi’s criticisms against the Lynas movement.
My stand was that we should look at the bureaucratic process and the money trail of lynas and not whip up mass hysteria. Dr. Jeyakumar’s piece actually concentrated on much the same.
I warned these folks that they could not trust Wong. And look what happens. Anwar in his speech says that Big Corps would be welcomed if they came in through the front door and provided jobs to the locales. Strange this is exactly what UMNO/BN said of Lynas.
Now AI says that as long as the process is safe and transparent, then Lynas is welcome. Hasn’t this what UMNO has been saying and PR offered no direct rebuttals of UMNO’s expert, all the while claiming that rare earth plants ARE NEVER SAFE.
Now apparently ever since Wong joined the DAP, people’s lives
are not in danger as they were when he was not running on a DAP ticket. Sounds ominous, right?
Therefore,I was right. It is the same thing all over again.
I’m intrigue with this Wong Tack personality…
What kind of a self-respecting “environmentalist” joins a movement that increases pollution – more cars on the road (turunkan harga kereta)? Why not support better public transportation?
The hypocrites and the bigots among us are destroying Malaysia.
It’s the begining ,the devil that we don’t know .
Look what Tokong said not too long ago:
” Lim Guan Eng told voters today that the only way to boot Lynas Corporation back to Australia and shut down its controversial rare earth refinery in Kuantan is by voting out Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming polls.
The DAP secretary-general warned anti-Lynas lobbyists that the recent granting of a two-year temporary occupational licence (TOL) to the Australian miner was a clear sign that should BN win again in the next general election, the firm would be allowed to operate fully without any restrictions.
“That the BN government has no hesitation to issue the TOL to Lynas even before the general election showed its commitment towards Lynas and profits over the people’s health.
“The two-year TOL leaves Malaysians no choice but to choose health and public safety over profits and two nuclear reactors by replacing the BN with a PR (Pakatan Rakyat) government,” Lim said in a statement”.
Note that he mentioned 2 nuclear reactors, clearly an attempt to whip up mass hysteria.
By their statements, LGE and WT clearly proven Lynas and its supporters’ accusation that they are merely using Lynas as a platform to undermine BN and whip up mass hysteria among the Chinese.
What surprises me is the almost casual coverage of LGE’s and WT’s complete reversal of position. One of the favourite tactics of MI, MK and other Pakatan’s alternative media is in the clever but cunning use of the headings. What they do is print wild accusations and out-of-context excerpts as headlines and buries the details and truth somewhere within the text. They know that most people won’t read the news at all and just merely scan the headlines. As such many people take wild accusations as facts.
In LGE and WT’s case, the headlines were so mild and misleading. Had the same thing happened to BN leaders, MK would have screamed “Massive U-Turn” or “Flip Flop”.
As I had stated yesterday, when a low level BN leader makes a negative statement, it is given wide publicity and goes on for months or even years. But when PR leaders make such statements, either these don’t get publicized or quickly buried and forgotten. That’s why Dapsters are quick to forget Namawee, Patrick Teoh, Ngeh, etc but quote Johari ad nauseam.
Thanks Calvin, have put up.
We all are stupid morons. That’s how DAP and Anwar are treating us. They treat us with contempt. Lie, deceive and threaten.
Sometimes their deceptions break down, like Lynas, just because Anwar cannot and dare not bullshit some Westerners, like he perpetually does to Malaysians.
re: “We all are stupid morons.”
Aiyah, don’t lah include everybody.
Btw, if you’re on Twitter, can I pls request that you tweet-up how The Star is assisting the opposition to spread the stupidity? TQ
The nuclear scientist from PAS who spoke in favourable terms of Lynas has now been silenced and kicked into obscurity.
Tell the truth, you die.
Lie, you get Bentong.
