Seperkara yang Tun Daim terlalu optimistik

Tun Daim Zainuddin membuat pemerhatian:

“Umno has about 3.3 million members, MCA about one million and MIC, about 600,000. That’s already about half of the voters. Now, you only need some support from the fence-sitters, you should then be able to win (GE13)”.

Dipetik dari wawancaranya hari ini — ‘I want Najib to win, Anwar not fit to be PM’ (NST, 24 Mac 2013)

Perkembangan tersebut adalah atas jasa jentera media ‘Bad news for DAP is good news for MCA is no news in The Star’ yang hari-hari mempromosi politikus pembangkang evangelis sejak berlakunya tsunami lima tahun dahulu.

  1. He sidestepped the issue of the scissors in between the shoulder blades.

It happened in UMNO then & will probably happen again this time round. As for MCA, no need to waste words there. MIC is even clamoring for its’ comedian in chief to contest Sg Siput for the nth time.

And that’s before we even consider the different fires component parties of BN are fighting in Sarawak’s FD. SPDP has to face its’ renegade YBs who admittedly are supported by the grassroots. PRS will face a former comrade in Larry Sng, former state assemblyman & son of Anwar’s (former?) bff, Sng Chee Hua. SUPP faces the two pronged attack from factions within & DAP without.

He’s being optimistic at best but I suppose given his track records we can’t accuse him of being naive either can we?

  2. Man proposes God disposes. I thought DSAI was sure to be the Prime Minister in 1997. He was let down by his kitchen cabinet and close advisers. I thought he was already there as the Prime Minister seamlessly without rancour. With a beautiful hindsight, kitchen cabinets are only good for the kitchen and what has IMF and the World Bank got to do with Malaysia which reserves 15 years later just about equal that of Apple’s. See how some people appaud Nelson Mandela, 25 years locked up and Aungsan Sujyi, 14 years locked up.

Dont be used by fellows with empty money bags !

    1. Alwie,

This way, i feel PAS members would likely abandon PAS in favour of UMNO.

As for Chinese votes, I believe UMNO leaders have given up hope. The era of Chinese ministers I am afraid is coming to its end.

        1. Ibni ismail,

So, to Chinese community, this is a very critical moment for your community. You are witnessing the end of an era. Just like Scarlet O’Hara witnessing the end of Southern cotton plantation good old days

  4. side track… 1 quote catches my attention in the article…

“I think Lee Kuan Yew does not have much respect for DAP’s leadership. The quality is not there. ”

there goes hopes for Singapura Utara.
