Haris Ibrahim’s ceramah — a Christian reporting

For an account of a recent inspiring ceramah by Haris at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, read ‘Pray like you’ve never prayed before‘ (FMT, 3 May 2013)

I came across the funniest thing ever about the DAP SuperCyber Bullies in an Anon comment at Annie’s blog: “The ones that have been stalking your blog do not sound too clever though. Maybe you should write in to DAP officially for smarter ones.”

Annie should extend a formal request to:

Ms Yeo Bee Yin

  1. ‘Anon’ could be Ms. Yeo herself. I’m convinced that she’s screaming from the top of her lungs to be your best friend, Helen for she’s currently surrounded by mindless vultures.

Please join in a moment of silence for all the innocent brain cells that ‘Anon’ lost over her full week campaign.

    1. Thuraisingam… that is his real name. Haris Ibrahim is Tamil
      not Malay.. nuf said..

      Just google Thuraisingam haris ibrahim.

Just look at his face ma… does he look like Chinese to you?

  2. I am tempted to tell May Chee “mai-chi-xxx” for using the lyrics of the Jubilee Song in justifying her arguments which is so obviously perverted.

The slogan for the jubilee year which was celebrated in 2000 was Christie; Herie, Hodie, Semper – Christ; Yesterday, Today, Forever. I suppose Ms Chee feels that her act of undeniable bias towards “Saviors of Malaysia” are reminiscent of Christ’s sacrifice for mankind.

To her & all her kind, here’s a short passage from Matthew 23: 1-36 NIV

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

“Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.

“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

“Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath.’ You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.’ You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? Therefore, anyone who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it. And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started!

“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation.

Btw, the holy of holies, Hannah of Subang was out on a walkabout on Sunday as her Twitter feed showed. Wonder if it is kosher to miss the Sabbath’s service in the name of politics? Surely God on high has stamped His approval on her hallway pass last weekend & in all probability this weekend too?

      1. Re: You brood of vipers

And thus born another new catchphrase to describe the mother snake.

I’m joining the ceramah circuit currently as we await Gobind making his entrance. Some 500 or so turning up at a carpark in Puchong. More seems to be coming.

        A few observations:

        1. Crowd made up almost entirely of Chinese. A sprinkling of Indians here & there.
        2. Easily half can be categorized as youths below 40. A substantial number are still in office wear.
        3. DAP workers are made up of Chinese (80%) with the rest Sikhs/Indians. They don’t seem to work together. Apparently there are cliques there, reason for that we can only presume.
        4. Two young ladies from Bar Council are also selling Article 119 t-shirts. They were not actually greeted with open arms by the DAP workers as I was an arm length away from their conversation. As a result they were asked to set up their table in the open with the skies threatening to open up. Probably they didn’t want competition in selling their Ubah merchandise.
        5. They’re giving out yellow ribbons presumably in commemoration of Bersih.
        6. The emcee speaks BM poorly. Says a few sentences in BM before switching to Mandarin.
        7. Even the 2 Bar Council ladies are quite expressive in their support for PR.
        8. I must look pretty odd considering I’m not clapping nor cheering nor responding to their rah rah speeches so far.
        9. First speaker, Indian professor said “great Chinese race” & referred to the others as “Indians & Malay brothers & sisters”. You can make your own conclusion on his views on how great the Indians & Malays are.

        1. Wtf. Mr Indian professor is speaking a bucketful of crap & the dumbass crowd is cheering him on. He claimed that during campaigning no one can stop them speaking as government no power. He even spoke about seeing an astrologer about Anwar.

I’m amazed at the zombified supposedly informed, educated crowd is eating out of the hands of this bugger. Even the EC is not spared. He’s liberally calling people stupid. Even USD24m is thrown in.

Can’t take it anymore lah. Don’t wanna be with stupid. Stupid is as stupid does certainly rings true here. And he has the gall to say BN is underestimating the intelligence of Malaysians.

          1. My advice: shoot videos, from a lot of angles. Why? Because zombie dramas are in, in the US. If you want to try and make a zombie movie to cash in on the trend, you would have a lot of reel to choose from. lols.

    1. (But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. )

What an advice! I dare say that this advice is as relevant to Muslim as to Christian.

  3. just now tengok Yahoo Malaysia,

they should go bald to protest the CEC election fraud.

Betty Chew, when she got hair…she’s not pretty, after shaving her head….even uglier…..

GEORGE TOWN, May 3 — A total of 84 DAP members and supporters shaved their heads bald at the Kek Lok Si Temple here in protest against money politics. They include six people who are standing for election in state constituencies in Penang.

    pandai sungguh zionist2 ni spin & twist…

    1. If my memory serves me right, Haris held a watching brief for the Bar Counncil. LJ’s lawyers for her appeal to the Federal Court were Cyrus Das, Benjamin Dawson, Yapp Hock Swee & Steven Thiru.
