MCA ni Buta hati dan Perut ke?
Saya hanya mengetahui tentang mendiang Tan Ah Eng melalui blog Annie sebelum PRU13.
Tan Ah Eng’s message to the people of Gelang Patah (updated) — http://lifeofaannie.blogspot.com/2013/05/tan-ah-engs-message-to-people-of-gelang.html
Beliau meninggal dunia beberapa hari yang lepas. It is a great loss to Gelang Patah community.
“Farewell for Tan Ah Eng — Just got words from Johor that former Gelang Patah MP Tan Ah Eng passed away just now.” — http://lifeofaannie.blogspot.com/2013/08/farewell-for-tan-ah-eng.html
Sadly I have not heard/read about a big tribute for her, for being a great MP that she was in the past.
I haven’t read J-Star for a while now, so I didn’t follow any story regarding this. If this is true, MCA is truely “PARTY CEKIK DARAH” yang tidak tahu menghargai jasa ahli-ahli mereka yang bekerja keras selama ini.

Hanya selepas beliau meninggal, barulah The J-Star sanggup menyiarkan rencana bertajuk ‘Ex-Gelang Patah MP Ah Eng dies at 58‘ dan ‘Ah Eng’s son breaks down while paying last respects’.
a. Menikam umno dari belakang
b. Di bawah kepimpinan csl, halatuju perjuangan mca berubah 360 darjah. Ahli-ahli mca tidak boleh bersuara,
Buang cauvisnisma dan be open minded !
Tanpa UNDI MELAYU, MCA hanya ibarat HAMPAS KELAPA.
“Pisang emas dibawa berlayar,
Masak sebiji di atas peti,
Hutang emas boleh dibayar,
Hutang budi dibawa mati,
Rasa sayang, hey! Rasa sayang-sayang hey, Hey, lihat nona jauh, Rasa sayang-sayang, hey”

Dear Helen
Your article today and all the stories from my Mates (Hate) of the Month Zairil and OKM has really made me feel incensed as a woman. The late Tan Ah Eng was a great Chinese leader but hushed up. Is it because she is a woman? Or is it because she is not the obnoxious Twitter bird friendly woman like Hannah Yeoh? A woman who can work must be kept quiet. I am really pissed off when powerful men keep us women quiet and expect us to silent and dumb like in the Joy Luck Club.
Let us go back to my Mate of the Month for August Zairil. I am really shocked at his treatment of his first wife Puan Ulfah Zainal Abidin and her daughter Emma. After the grand bersanding with Tun M and Ku Li, (see http://sirehphotography.fotopages.com/?entry=1425544 again), his super publicists kept her in cold storage. A good nice looking Muslim woman.
Instead enters wife number two. – Dahlia. See propaganda piece in the FZ. http://www.fz.com/content/ge13-daps-zairil-well-received-during-first-walkabout
Now Zairil has only 1 child. A boy, Riann! This good Muslim couple can take their kid to eat delicious Chee Cheong Fun at the Pulau Tikus market.
Look at Zairil’s FB, https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/535774_630837460267850_72198407_n.jpg Suddenly Emma, Riann’s half sister has disappeared from the earth.
Question: Is it a Penang custom to erase your first wife and her children from the face of the earth.
(Clue: the FB of Zairil’s women and his are open and can be Googled!)
Now let us go one generation behind to his Daddy. Look at his Wikipedia entry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khir_Johari
No wives. In fact how much do we know of Cik Tom? The obituary on the Star has very little mention of Cik Tom. She must have children, they must have names! He must have loved her like the beloved Christine!
http://www.thestar.com.my/story.aspx?file=%2f2006%2f11%2f20%2fnation%2f16077044&sec=nation
The funeral has no mention of Cik Tom’s kids! Only Zairil and Yusri! http://www.thestar.com.my/story.aspx?file=%2f2006%2f11%2f20%2fnation%2f16077484&sec=nation
Oh look at this Free Malaysia Today article:
“DAP central executive committee member Zairil Khir Johari said he is aware of who his father is.
He was responding to a New Straits Times report quoting former DAP vice chairman Tunku Abdul Aziz as saying that Zairil was not a Malay as his biological parents were Chinese”
http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2013/01/14/i-know-who-my-father-is-says-zairil/
I am waiting for Tunku Abdul Aziz to come up with his memoirs. I will line up to buy the book!
Is it true when a woman dies or is divorced and her husband remarries, she is wiped out from the earth? LIKE FATHER LIKE SON!
In fact I did like Pak Lah as a PM ONCE. I was so sad when Kak Endon passed … but he married Jeanne so quickly after her passing, I (and quite many) have no respect for Pak Lah. I hope Kak Endon will not be erased from the new book! I am waiting to read the book!
Now OKM vs Zairil.
OKM is a man who loved people to know everything his does. His puasa, his reading of the Holy Book, his church and jogging.
Zairil is a man of mystery. What is his name? Who are his family? Talk about the Red Bean! His publicist Chrisck can change his bio.
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zairil_Khir_Johari&diff=566307586&oldid=564461482
OKM is a man who uses Islam and Malayness to appeal to the Muslim populace.
Zairil hides his background but tries to be Chinese and Malay to appeal to his populace such as having Puasa parties to appeal to the Malays at the same time feeding his son Chee Cheong Fun to appeal to the Chinese!
There I have said my two sen!
Thank you Mulan. We are in sync about all things you mentioned above except this one:
Re. ” but he married Jeanne so quickly after her passing, I (and quite many) have no respect for Pak Lah.”
I was told by someone who is very close to Pak Lah that Jeanie was hand picked by Kak Endon to take her place in case of eventuality. At that time she was already sick and knew that she didn’t have much time left; just a side story here that was also the time when celebrities and actress “Gila Nak Kahwin Dengan VVIP dan Menteri”.
Re. “Now OKM vs Zairil.”
I think Helen should pick up this story. I am eager to see how it will turn out.
Meantime I heard that Zairil is having hariraya open house, I hope you or someone will take the opportunity to go with your camera ready and see how many “Mami, Mamu and Chombi penang yang datang beraya” instead of the usual crowd of Cina DAP.
I am interested to see where LGE’s driver will park his car when LGE visits Zairil for the hariraya open house.
LOL,
I am not a great admirer of Tun Abdullah Badawi. But I respect his decision to marry Tun Jeanne.
At least their relationship is deemed “sah dan halal”.
He is a nice and humble man but just not cut to be a leader.
One of Dr M’s many legacies is his wrong choices of DPM; Anwar and Pak Lah.
Tun M did admit that as his weakness
“Meantime I heard that Zairil is having hariraya open house, ”
Coming from a foodie, I am looking forward to eating his halal Chee Cheong Fun from the ever famous Pulau Tikus market.
When is OKM’s Hari Raya Open House? I bet he will have delicious but healthy Arab food.
But don’t expect a Raya Open House from Hannah. She is a Bangsa Malaysia. Keep your calenders open for 16 September. Her race will celebrate on that day.
Bangsa Malaysia ? What’s that ? I m sure you all know the root word of Malaysia is the word Malay. Now tell me. What is Bangsa Malaysia ?
Ask Hannah. NatGeo must do a program on the new race.
Despite goodies, Indian vote dropped by 6% in past polls
http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/despite-goodies-indian-vote-dropped-by-6-in-past-polls
Err Helen betul ke ni, boleh bagi sedikit pencerahan, dengan data sekali if you must?
Kalau betullah, sia-sia itu Gendang Cina playing Cat Lover, bagi Hindraf jadi Timbalan Menteri bagai! Ish-ish…
Thanks for the link.
The Merdeka Center claims that “24.4% of Chinese voters supported the ruling coalition”. That’s saying a quarter of the Chinese electorate supported the BN. Is this figure bandied by the centre reliable?!
Supporters must press BN to release their long-promised and much delayed postmortem b’cos the political parties would have the (closest to) actual data since all the contesting parties have their polling agents monitoring the Salurans.
I’ve thus far only looked at the Chinese votes in the DAP areas that interested me but since you ask, I’ll take a look at the Indian votes when I have the time.
The conventional wisdom is that GE13 was hit by a Chinese tsunami whereas GE12 was swept by the Indian wave (Hindraf rally, etc).
TMI‘s headline said: “Indian vote dropped by 6% in past polls”
Did Indian support for BN really drop? This contention runs counter to the popular belief which is that the Indian votes returned to the BN in 2013 and thus offsetting some of the huge swing effected by the Chinese hammer blow.
Common sense dictates that Indian support couldn’t have decreased.
Consider: If Indian votes had already sunk to an unprecedented and all-time low in 2008, then how much further can it drop? (Run a parallel test scenario on the Chinese votes as comparison: If BN has already lost so much of the Chinese vote in 2013, how much more can the BN lose in 2018?)
So, could BN in 2013 have lost a further 6% of the Indian vote as claimed by Merdeka Center after its earth-shattering loss of the Indian vote in 2008?
However I’ll credit that BN lost the Indian votes in the urban areas in the Pakatan states. These are not the “kingmaker” votes b’cos in the said areas, e.g. Teresa Kok’s Seputeh, DAP won with a majority of over 50,000. Another example: If more English-speaking, Christian Indians in Subang Jaya voted HY, it wouldn’t make an iota of a difference b’cos DAP won so big in all of its constituencies.
It is the Indian votes in the semi-urban, semi-rural areas that will make a crucial difference. Off-hand I would guess that Indian support was crucial in helping the BN recover Perak, and that the BN would have sustained bigger losses in Johor if the Indians had capitulated.
Thanks for the reply.
‘The Merdeka Center claims that “24.4% of Chinese voters supported the ruling coalition”. That’s saying a quarter of the Chinese electorate supported the BN. Is this figure bandied by the centre reliable?!’
Surely we know where these buggers get their money from, don’t we?!
‘I’ll take a look at the Indian votes when I have the time.’
Please do so Helen, surely this is a matter of public interest.
quote, “Supporters must press BN to release their long-promised and much delayed postmortem b’cos the political parties would have the (closest to) actual data since all the contesting parties have their polling agents monitoring the Salurans.” unquote.
Actually I am also anxiously waiting for BN to release it’s GE13 post mortem findings.
Awat yang Najib dok peram sampai lani, pasaipa?!
