    Except that, their tuhan is far merrier than mine!

    and since they had acknowledged of the middle eastern and Arabic origin of the word ALLAH, they might want to opt for Tuhan instead! We have been saying that Tuhan is the Malay word for God. ALLAH in Malaysia (we are not Indonesians, are we?) is exclusively for Islam.

    But then again, of course, that is a no-no to some, since Arabization is on their mind too!

    Puasa sudah. Puasa sunat pun sudah. ‘Beribadat’ dalam Surau pun sudah courtesy of Tanjung Sutera, apa lagi, Doktor OKM, kasi sunat la itu anu, baru kira maa!

Puasa is the 3rd pillar/fundamental of Islam, 3rd doesnt mean lesser important, It is a “must do” or in isamic term called RUKUN of the 3rd out of 5, The utmost is the SYAHADAH, without syahadah the rest of the other pillars they perform are not counted or rewarded. Syahadah means ‘to witness, to testify” that There is no god but ALLAH The Only, Muhammad is the messenger of ALLAH. After Syahadah one is considered as a Musim and he MUST perform sembahyang (worship ALLAH), and when Ramadhan comes he MUST perform PUASA

    “O believers! Fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you in order that you become more conscious of God.”
    [Noble Quran 2:183], take note: Allah calls [u]believers[/u] to fast

    These all are the sign of obedience to what a Muslim declared earlier that There’s no god but HE (ALLAH). If someone never declare that There is no god but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God but ‘performing’ puasa in his own unique way, it is useless, meaningles and uncounted. The Messenger of Allah Muhammad (peace be upon him) has reminded all of us that “Many receive nothing from the fast except hunger and thirst.”
    ربَّ صائمٍ ليسَ لَه من صيامِه إلَّا الجوعُ وربَّ قائمٍ ليسَ لَه من قيامِه إلَّا السَّهرُ
    [Ibn Majah, Sahih]

    In other narrations Prophet said: “It may be that a fasting person attains nothing but hunger and thirst from his fasting”. [Ibn Majah, Darimi, Ahmad and al-Baihaqi; Sahih]

    In short, fasting is not simply an excercise to feel hunger and thirst but it’s more to testify one’s obedience to Allah’s Commandment. The worst of all is someone fast (or maybe a fast claim) just for showing off.

        9) Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me

  3. Don’t you see that OKM is using Puasa to promote himself. In fact it is a mockery of Puasa. Puasa but can drink water. Puasa after Raya. Cheap publicity and mocking amalan puasa.

    Or Chris Ross’ let us all be Malays Puasa/Raya parties,

    I am wondering what is the difference with OKM’s Puasa stunts with the Avivi I want your attention. All hedonistic cheap publicities.

    Oh yes. I would like to congratulate the beautiful bald Ms Yap Soo Huey for two accidents on her wonderful Gurney maze. A four car collision in front of Gleneagels and a motorcylist (wearing a 1Malaysia t shirt) broke his leg. But no worries the evil BN supporters get into accident. Hey perhaps this is Iguana’s master plan to rid BN supporters. Maybe they langgar then mati.

  5. Hmm we are still on OKM with his puasa. Why la we giving him all the publicity. It was a political stunt for cross cultural experience and certain publicity and exposure cukup cukup la… Nothing else on our mind, only OKM? if that is so, then OKM won on the branding and publicity count all the way..

      Mine is only a personal blog and the readership comprising hardcore political junkies, the majority of whom are pro-establishment and as well as the 24/7 monitors from The J-Star, DAP, MCA, Malaysiakini and possibly on occasion the Info Ministry.

      @imokman Twitter has more than 13,000 followers and his a/c is promoted by The J-Star, Malaysiakini, etc.

      Furthermore, OKM’s puasa was publicized by The J-Star whose media group reaches an audience of 5.63 million. MCA, as owner of The J-Star, is a problem and hence should be viewed accordingly by the BN.

    saya lihat pemimpin2 DAP agak galak menggunakan kalimah2 yg berkaitan Islam spt Assalamu’alaikum, Bismillah, Insya-Allah, Alhamdulillah, serta prihatin dgn aktiviti2 berkaitan Islam. Saya nak tahu adakah ini sikap mereka sejak dahulu (kecil) yg terbiasa dgn cara hidup Islam (justeru saya anggap niat mereka baik)? atau ianya semakin menjadi2 sejak isu kalimah Allah (justeru saya anggap mereka berniat jahat)…

          Thanks for the info. You have satisfied my enquiring mind. I visited Chris Ross aka Zairil’s FB yesterday and noticed an Eid greeting photo of him with a woman and a son. The woman in the photo looks different than the woman he has married years ago in a big lavish wedding with whom he has a daughter. Rupa-rupanya this guy has divorced his first wife and is now married to another. Hmm… boleh tahan jugak kaki perempuan Chris Ross ni!

  11. Yang kembang kempis hidungnya membaca tweet puasa OKM mungkin orang PAS! Berkesan juga tarbiah orang PAS ni ya? Seperti dakwaan mereka dulu LGE dah masuk Islam tapi rahsia sebab takut apaknya mati terkejut sakit jantung. Begitu juga dengan Dr OKM agaknya.

    Kalaupun begitu apa salahnya kalau ‘potong’ dulu. Puasadan puasa sunat lagikan boleh…
