The J-Star wants to kill Umno.
*** *** ***
Member of Umno supreme council, Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin, noticed that while the mainstream media including the NST had splashed the news of the Sultan of Selangor calling Chin Peng an “Enemy of the State” on their front pages, The J-Star on the other hand chose to bury the item deep inside on page 18.
Dr Shikin also tweeted that it is shameful how The J-Star is “so sensitive” to offending those who hold that Chin Peng was “merely misunderstood”.
She is being too kind.
In truth, the MCA-owned paper is deliberately acting with “malicious intent” in its coverage of the Chin Peng issue. The Star Media Group had been propagandizing to its younger, urban audience the idea of the communist guerrilla war as something that is today quite irrelevant, passe and so much behind the times that Chin Peng’s role need no longer be scrutinized.
In other words, The J-Star is intent on whitewashing the communist atrocities so that their Scissorati can fill the resultant narrative vacuum with their own Bintang Lima reconstruction of Chin Peng as an Independence hero. See, ‘MCA: Chin Peng adalah pejuang kemerdekaan‘
In her series of tweets on The J-Star this morning, Dr Shikin also highlighted the hypocrisy of those journalists within the (ostensibly) MCA paper who like to call others “racist”.
I’m noting for Dr Shikin’s benefit as well as for the rest of the Umno supreme council that the Scissorati have been fervently promoting the DAP evangelista politicians, especially the “DAP SuperCyber Bullies” Hannah Yeoh and evangelista Serdang MP Ong Kian Ming.
KJ and his Dapster press sec
Does the Umno supreme council know why @Khairykj is included in the Twitter personality list with regard to the tweet below by ‘Seagull’ [MCA presidential council member Ti Lian Ker] saying that the public must not set Utusan‘s standard on the high class Star?
Well, Khairy’s press secretary @reginalah is a Scissorati, that’s why.
Saling tak tumpah!
One of the men in the photo above is Chin Peng when he was young.
The Scissorati (whom I’ve juxtaposed with the communist leader) in the photo inset above is the J-Star former National Union of Journalists (NUJ) chairman Teh Eng Hock who had the following “Big Mama-hu hu hu” Twitter exchange with Hannah Yeoh — see screenshot below.
The J-Star reporters are as malicious as their DAP evangelista race-baiting patrons.
J-Star loses quarter million readers
The covert but consistently sly insults by The Sneaky Star has caused a backlash among the Malays. From the period of July last year to June this year, the MCA-controlled, pro-DAP newspaper has lost 254,000 readers, according to an NST report last week.
The J-Star editors often insinuate that Malays are stupid.
Only last month its head honcho Aunty editor June Wong took her dig, writing that those in power have been “keeping them [pro-establishment voters] stupid and poor in order to control them and making them dependent forever” — see ‘The Star thinks Malays are stupid‘.
Malay exodus from The J-Star expected
The J-Star is to the DAP what Utusan is to Umno.
The Malay reporters in the paper are unhappy with the Dapsterism that is so rife in their office.
Therefore it is hardly surprising that the paper’s Malay staff are also the ones most keen to take up the J-Star‘s VSS (voluntary separation scheme but NOT ACTUALLY a “retrenchment” wor) offer.
The Star conglomerate currently has about 1,600 media staff in its Menara headquarters in Phileo Damansara alone.
Malays are expected to leave The J-Star in the same way that Malays have been steadily leaving Penang island.
Two race system, “Chinese hate Umno”
MCA vice president Gan Ping Sieu recently tweeted a comment that the “Chinese hate Umno”.
What the Chinese believe is patently true, i.e. that the MCA indeed “has no role in BN” … not anymore.
Nowadays reporters on the payroll of the MCA-owned newspaper even dare to imply in their public tweets that MCA senior leaders are donkeys — see ‘Star reporter called MCA sec-gen a “donkey”?‘. If that’s what the Scissorati really think about their MCA employer, what do you reckon that they’re saying about Umno?
The MCA mouthpiece which daily delivers DAP sermons tak berselindung lagi. Kalau dulu mereka baling batu sorok tangan, sekarang ni dah jadi lebih berani dah.
Are Umno bigshots reading the ground?
The angry Malay grassroots are expressing themselves by giving their protest votes to independents.
In GE13, they voted Isma’s ustaz candidates who contested on the Berjasa ticket. They gave Perkasa vice president Zulkifli Noordin a stirring show of support even though Zul had only parachuted into the Shah Alam Parliamentary seat at the very last minute.
And it is anticipated that many protest votes will go to Akhramsyah Sanusi in upcoming Umno Youth contest, reminiscent of how dark horse Sulaiman Palestin had once embarrassed incumbent Hussein Onn by garnering a vote tally of 1:3 in his challenge for the Umno presidency. (Also see online poll results, 4 out of 5 respondents reject KJ)
The Malay ground is silently shifting. Is the Parti Paling Tidak Apa still sleeping?
Kalu orang besar Umno masih tak bangun-bangun lagi, the Malay party will find itself overtaken by events and sitting on the opposition bench come GE14. Ni janji.
