DAP is becoming more and more the Dictator’s Action Party.
‘Frustrated Boo won’t lead Johor DAP any more’ reported the headline in today’s Malaysiakini. DAP Johor chairman Dr Boo Cheng Hau today announced that he will not be defending his position when the state-level party election is called (anytime within the next 3 months).
Three weeks ago, I’d blogged about the KOBAN – Knock Out Boo And Norman – campaign launched by Lim Guan Eng’s black hand. The koban has successfully drawn blood, fatally. ‘B’ and ‘N’ (DAP Johor deputy chairman Norman Fernandez) have been politically liquidated, and Guan Eng’s proxies have arrived right at Umno’s fortress doorstep.
Dr Boo (pix above) is a medical doctor who treats poor patients for free at his clinic. He’s too nice to be in DAP 3.0 where the Dear Leader is too vicious for the likes of Dr Boo to survive. The latter joins the ranks of past rivals Wee Choo Keong and Kerk Kim Hock who have been eliminated so that there are no internal challengers to the Crown Prince.
Earlier, the elected DAP Kedah chairman had been ousted by Guan Eng to make way for Zairil Khir Johari to assume the post.
Goh Leong San the DAP state chairman has quit as opposition leader in the Malacca assembly due to pressure from Guan Eng. All these machinations indicate a purge taking place in the party where the sec-gen is sticking his long knife into those not toeing his line.
In their place, Guan Eng is putting in his own men and women.
According to Shen Yee Aun, the former Klang DAP Socialist Youth secretary:
“The overnight recruited or promoted by Lim Guan Eng like Tony Pua, Teo Nie Ching, Hannah Yeoh, Ng Wei Aik, Jeff Ooi, Liew Chin Tong, Au Yong Hian Wah, Charles Santiago and a list of newcomers are not the type of politician that rise from DAP local grassroots. For those who know DAP internal infighting will know that most of this newcomers cannot see eye to eye with their local grassroots leader in their own area and division. Moreover they are too young, inexperienced, fresh and immature in the political arena.”
One consistent trait that characterizes Guan Eng’s handpicked men and women like Tony Pua, Ng Wei Aik, Ong Kian Ming and Hannah Yeoh is that they are the spitting image of their boss — i.e. vicious bullies.
For example, you can Google “Ng Wei Aik” and “gengster” to see his fearsome reputation.
The other thing about Guan Eng’s men and women is that they’re consistently given fawning coverage by The J-Star.
