Results: Opinion poll on Selangor payrise, comparison

RM8,000 or thereabouts in salary for the Speaker of Selangor would be a reasonable amount but not RM22,500 per month (“way too high”), an online survey hosted by http://www.helenang.wordpress.com found today.

More attacks on Utusan / Malaysian media is split in two

Today it comes from Jacqueline Ann Surin, editor of The Nut Graph who labels Utusan the “ethno-nationalistic Malay daily”/”ultra-nationalistic Malay paper” which has a “lack of journalistic ethics and professionalism”.

Jacqueline Ann Surin also says that “Utusan is notorious for publishing false, defamatory and racially divisive articles”.

Ulama kicked out means evangelista put in control

“They have tasted power through Pakatan Rakyat and they want more. It looks like PAS has reached the point of no return,” writes Joceline Tan.

“Instead of redefining the party’s role in Pakatan, the party may have to redefine its policy of leadership by the ulama,” she adds. Continue reading “Ulama kicked out means evangelista put in control”

DAP Christian pins high hopes on progressive PAS

FMT columnist Selena Tay’s article today titled ‘The Malay psyche and Chinese philosophy‘ is the portal’s banner story this morning.

Selena is a Christian as well as a DAP delegate “who had voted at the DAP Women’s Congress held in KL on Dec 9” (2012). She believes that PAS supporters are “the Malays [who] will be able to see the difference between right and wrong without using racist lens”.

Pesuruhjaya PAS P. Pinang Tuan Salleh Man tak beringat ke?

Otak Di Kepala Lulut — one prime odikal specimen

Finally we hear it from the Prime Minister of Bangladesh herself, Sheikh Hasina, dismissing claims that hordes of her countrymen had been airflown here to vote for the BN. See ‘Hasina: 40k voters claim absurd‘ (NST, 20 Nov 2013).

As absurd as it is, the Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysians had gone berserk over the fear that Bangladeshis would somehow manage to vote in our in GE13. To refresh your memory, read the call made by SABM chieftain Haris Ibrahim back in April — ‘ABU: Treat dubious voter like a robber or a rapist‘.

What PAS must know about the DAP

Lim Kit Siang and his son Lim Guan Eng both issued separate press statements yesterday.

Kit Siang complains that in the past four years, he has been “repeatedly accused of being a communist by Umno cybertroopers on the Internet”. Well, the accusations by the Malay bloggers are wrong. DAP is not communist. DAP 3.0 today is a capitalist party.

Guan Eng on “Umno’s racist ideology and extremist policies”

Press statement today

By Lim Guan Eng

Sarawak Land Development Minister Tan Sri Dr James Masing has accused young Umno leaders of causing friction between Putrajaya and the Sarawak state government, by adopting the attitude that Umno are the masters and leaders from Sarawak and Sabah should be subservient to them. This surprising attack against Umno leaders show that the people of Sabah and Sarawak has begun to realise that they are not being accorded full respect but instead are exploited.

Saling tukar pasangan

Baca keluhan ‘KJ prefers Regina or Annie?‘ di blog Life of Annie hari ini.

Namun salah seorang geng Dapster mereka sendiri yang betul-betul, terang-terangan dan sah dibayar KJ sebagai Setiausaha Akhbarnya untuk kerja saban hati buat tweet-tweet-tweet mempromo kegiatan-kegiatan Pemuda Umno tu, pula mereka (gerombolan Cina-Cina penyokong pembangkang) boleh terlepas pandang.
