Christians who want ‘Allah’ must share hudud too

Hu Pang Chow, chairman of the PAS Supporters Club, is a pork-eating Christian.

“They (the PAS people) know I still take my bak kut teh. But then we have this mutual respect, something we can’t get in Umno, MIC or MCA,” Hu is quoted as saying in his interview with The J-Star published today.

The “staunchly PAS” chairman of the party’s Supporters Club is however reported in the Jerusubang paper as still not believing “in the effectiveness of any criminal law, including hudud, that has been PAS’ main agenda”.

HuPangCHow

Well, the solution is quite simple

If the PAS version of hudud is not up to par in “effectiveness”, then all the DAP evangelistas need to do is upgrade the criminal law to an improved version that meets their high class standard.

After all, the DAP has already succeeded in modifying several ‘Islamic’ concepts once held dear by PAS. For decades PAS has been harping on its vision of an Islamic State. But shortly after hooking up with the DAP in Pakatan, PAS was willing to amend its cherished objective to become “Negara Kebajikan”. And PAS’s ‘Negara Islam’ thingy was conveniently put on the backburner.

Since the days of the Prophet in Arabia, Islam has been about the One God. Yet here and now we have the PAS standard bearers willing to allow for ‘Allah’ to be used by Christians who believe in the triune (3-in-1) godhead.

If PAS can permit even the very nature of Allah to be subverted by their evangelista coalition partners, what is a little tinkering with hudud so that the Islamic penal code meets with the DAP’s Christian standards.

PAKATAN-RAKYAT-TOYS

Can it be done? Why yes, why not

The MCA-owned newspaper – as mentioned in the intro – recorded its interviewee Hu Pang Chow as saying that “mutual respect” is something impossible to be found among the BN’s three flagship parties.

The Jerusubang paper appears to have run its interview with Hu today as a follow-up to the following piece of news yesterday — ‘Kelantan courts ready for hudud‘.

Kelantan Syariah chief judge Daud Muhammad was reported as having declared that the state’s syariah courts are now ready and fully prepared to implement hudud.

Meanwhile PAS vice president Salahuddin Ayub is confident that hudud can indeed be implemented in Kelantan once the PAS state government obtains the cooperation of the federal government.

“We are always ready to implement the Syariah criminal law but the federal government is our main obstacle and we need a serious co-operation from them to make it happen,” Salahuddin was quoted as saying in a telephone interview with The Mole.

In other words, the Umno-led federal government is currently the main obstacle to the implementation of hudud in Kelantan, according to the PAS vice president.

However should in future Pakatan succeed in taking over the federal government, then there will be no more obstacle to hudud in Kelantan and eventually in the other states as well.

DAP respects the PAS desire for hudud

When contacted, PAS information chief Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man told The Mole that there should not be any problems in implementing hudud as the Islamist party had proposed hudud way before joining Pakatan and it has always been their unwavering intention to do so.

There is this lack of “mutual respect” in BN, the J-Star report cited above quoted Hu Pang Chow as saying. On the other hand, there is an abundance of “mutual respect” in Pakatan.

In BN, Umno is the Big Brother and if hudud is not agreeable to be carried out for the present, then we can pin the blame on Umno as the chief decisionmaker. It’s Umno’s fault.

In Pakatan, due to the “mutual respect” present, the three parties will try to accommodate each other’s wishes, and which Umno is not doing with the MCA and MIC (or so claim the opposition). In Pakatan, the Muslims are willing to share Allah with the Christians. Similarly in Pakatan, the Christians are willing to share hudud with the Muslims out of mutual respect.

Therefore, why is the federal government being so vindictive as to keep punishing the opposition supporters and Chinese electorate? Why purposely deprive them?

Putrajaya should just give PAS followers and their good friends the DAP Chinese what they both wish for. Apa lagi Cina mahu? Cina mahu guna kalimah Allah dan pakai hudud (versi yang ditambahbaik).

  1. Muktamar is near so everybody is very accommodating. That’s what Karpal forgets when he said religious party should be re-registered. Since it is impossible that the Hudud Laws could be enacted, there is no reason for DAP & PKR to object, especially when the Muktamar is in the air. Who dares to create tension with PAS when there are many calls from its members to quit PR.

After-all, UMNO will be blamed, anyway. That’s why they ‘pakat-pakat’ amongst them to oust UMNO/BN. ‘Pakat’ means conspire in English.

  2. SO, kalau nak sgt berkongsi kalimah Allah, Evengelis DAPster sepatutnya bersedia untuk berkongsi HUDUD, QISAS dlm perundangan Malaysia. Saya rasa bolehlah dilaksanakan segera..

    1. As the local Christians, east and west, with the help of Reza Aslan had sedar diri that Allah is their one true God, Alhamdullilah and with the campur tangan of Vatican via Murphy Pakiam ‘zealotry’ and some evangelist monies, Kepercayaan kepada Tuhan will need to be officially change into Kepercayaan kepada Allah SWT, and I’m sure nobody would mind.

The Sikh would definitely not mind, I’m sure. The Orang Asli would not mind according to the evangelists in some Perak jungles, and Pahang. I’m sure the Buddhist wound not mind either as long as their DAP overlords can keep lying to them.

Okay, … so Hu eats babi and “PAS guys” abstain from babi; thus they respect each other for eating what they want to eat and not eating what they do not want to eat. Clearly this is how ALL MALAYSIANS behave with one another with regards to what they want to eat and what they do not want to eat. And when ALL MALYSIANS respect each other as to what they want to eat and what they do not want to eat, they never have to find out if the other guy is affiliated with PAS or DAP or PKR or UMNO or MCA or MIC in regards to what one wants to eat and what the other does not want to eat. PIG BRAIN needs no legal definition ………

  4. Hu Pang Chow, chairman of the PAS Supporters Club, is a pork-eating Christian …… hehehehe, what about pork-abstaining Christians?

Herein lies real mutual respect between Christians and Muslims isn’t it? Maka daripada itu, Encik Hu dapat sokong dengan sungguh dia orang2 PAS itu ….. biarlah partai politik lain mengamal apapun!…….

  5. re : Mutual respect

  6. Sorry for digressing. Wee kaa siong made a public statement against sultan selangor. Sungguh kurang ajar Mamat Ni. Everyday we get people undermining our way of life that we so much treasured. I am very very angry with this. You’re right Helen. MCA and DAP memang sama aje. Dud-dua dah kurang ajar.

  7. We should encourage Non Muslims to accept Hudud. After all, if you want equality, everyone must be subjected to a single set of laws. If Muslims are subjected to Hudud while Non Muslims continue as they are, where is justice and err…equality ?

Funny that Non Muslims continue to say that they have been mistreated. Discriminated. Yet at the same time they reject Hudud.

But let’s not kid ourselves. When Non Muslims say they want equality, justice and blah blah blah, they are actually saying “We are different from you. Your laws do not apply. Your customs do not apply. We decide how we should look after ourselves. Who are you to decide what’s best for us ?”

If there’s money involved, of course you will hear a different tune. You will hear things like “Let’s work together. Me and you. We can profit from all this”.

Apa lagi yang mereka mahu ? Don’t know the answer ? The Hu fella told you already la. Yang boleh bawa keuntungan belong to us. Yang boleh memudaratkan belong to you Muslims. Get it or not ?

    1. Quote: “We should encourage Non Muslims to accept Hudud. After all, if you want equality, everyone must be subjected to a single set of laws. If Muslims are subjected to Hudud while Non Muslims continue as they are, where is justice and err…equality ?”

If the commenter(and those who advocate Hudud for all) is sincere in the pursuit of justice and equality, then he/she would not dispute the current common law is best suited in a multi-racial/religion country like Malaysia. Those who are of the opinion Non-Muslims be subjected to Hudud should first point out the inadequacy and flaw of the common law that makes it unfavorable or bias to Muslims. If advocating Hudud is wholly from a religious standpoint, then all the more there is legimate concern for non-Muslims to resist Hudud in favour of a more ‘generalized’ law to dispense justice.

From a layman point of view, there are still a lot of questions to be asked with regards to the implementation of hudud across the board.

      1. Firstly, in cases of rape victims are required to produce four male adults as eyewitness to the actual sexual intercourse?
      2. In cases of theft, I understand the accused has to admit to the crime. If not does that mean he can walk away scot free?
      3. Murderers can get off if he settled with the deceased family?

These are some basics that would probably bug a layman like me. Don’t take this as an insult, it’s not. We are afterall on the same page when it comes to our quest for justice and fairness. It’s just that I am unconvinced Hudud is the right vessel to fuel our quest.

      1. HH, maybe if you had read hard enough, you won’t be so stupid, er myopic!

‘1. Firstly, in cases of rape victims are required to produce four male adults as eyewitness to the actual sexual intercourse?
        2. In cases of theft, I understand the accused has to admit to the crime. If not does that mean he can walk away scot free?
        3. Murderers can get off if he settled with the deceased family?’

In the age of Mr Google being so effective and extremely efficient, I’m gobsmacked at your stupidity, er, ignorance!

But then again, you don’t debate scriptures, do you. So it does makes me wary of your motives!

        1. Can’t exactly say I am surprised at your usual dismissiveness. Did you actually read Helen’s posting? Manage to catch the tongue in cheek allusion to DAP not opposed to the idea of ‘hudud for all’ between the lines?

As an extension to the premise’ hudud for all’, it is not unreasonable for me, as a non-Muslim to share my concern.

Quote: “But then again, you don’t debate scriptures, do you. So it does makes me wary of your motives!”

What exactly is the point in bringing the scripture into the discussion? You and I do not subscribe to the same source. It will only inevitably lead to a neverending ‘you say I say. ‘ Furthermore the implications of implementing hudud across the board extends beyond just Christians and Muslims.

  8. Dear Helen;

I tak berapa agreelah orang Kristian kena ikut hudud orang Islam. I strongly believe, the Christians over here should fight for the Christians hudud version to be implemented here in Malaysia. After all , they are very aggressive in this country, fighting on almost everything. Apa macam , ada berani ke nak demand hudud Christian style.

    .

Nabi Isa pernah bersabda dalam Matthew 5:17-20

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

If the Christians are true follower of Jesus Christ, they should follow the religious laws taught and practised by Jesus. Jesus was a practising Jew. No pork, undergo circumcision and the hudud law is worst than the Islamic version. Kalau bohong, potong lidah, kalau mencuri potong tangan, kalau berzina kena rejam sampai mati, kalau tukar agama – hukum mati.

Apa macam , ada beranie ke?

    1. re: “After all, they are very aggressive in this country, fighting on almost everything.”

Terlalu agresif, selalu mahu bergaduh dan masih tidak sedar bahawa orang lain sudah begitu meluat dengan kepura-puraan mereka itu.

re: “Kalau bohong, potong lidah, kalau mencuri potong tangan, kalau berzina kena rejam sampai mati, kalau tukar agama – hukum mati.”

Bagus juga dipotong lidah Scissorati macam mereka-mereka yang suka memfitnah kat Stop the Lies. Hannah Yeoh masuk Kristian pada umur 19 tahun. Itupun dikira tukar agama, kan?

I have said many times that if Christians indeed are the real adherents of the teachings of Jesus, they should, as you have said, eat no pork, undergo circumcision but these Christians will come up with all sorts of excuses.

      1. Sahih International

‘And [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], “Do not worship except Allah ; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah.” Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing.’

        Sura Al Baqarah Ayat 83

        Sahih International

‘They say, “Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided.” Say, “Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists.”

Say, [O believers], “We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.”

        Surah Al Baqarah Ayat 135-136

  9. Helen,

Can’t see why our beloved christian don’t want to agree with Hudud, there is many ‘words’ from their God in bible that similar with Hudud, like this one:

“And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm death not, and the fire is not quenched.” — Mark 9:43-44 ”

“Deuteronomy 14:8 “And the swine, because it divide the hoof, yet chew not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.”

      1. You do realize the arguments for or against Hudud in this current debate has nothing to do with whether it is in line with the bible or not.

The point of contention is in our pursuit of justice and fairness for all, is there justification to abandon the current functioning Common law in favor of hudud? It is logical to question the motive behind such move. Muslims should point out why they deem their interests not wholly served under common law.

And please, stop picking bible verses out of context just to make a point. You know full well Mark 9:43-44 is not talking about corporal punishment. Or do you?

  10. Kerajaan Kelantan cepatla laksanakan hukum hudud tu. Jangan simpan di backburner lagi. Dah lama sangat kami tunggu nih. Jangan foreplay lama sangat. Kami punya lendir dah nak trepancut nih. DAP dan MCA pun begitu.
