2013 has been an extremely good year for Papa and Mama Dapster.
Year of the Iguana is a music album.
You can order it from Amazon.com and other online retail outlets.
Iguana is a large lizard that is capable of shedding its skin and growing a new one.
Iguana is cold-blooded, has a three-chambered heart (a human has four chambers in his heart) and a well-developed pair of lungs.
Iguana belongs to the family Iguanidae.
There is also the Eng variety.
.
Chameleon
Chameleon is a lizard-like animal that can change colours.
Chameleon has poor hearing as it does not possess an outer or a middle ear. However it is able look in two different directions at the same time.
Chameleon’s tongue is 1½ to 2 times the length of its body (excluding tail).
The species in Malaysia has an even remarkably longer tongue.
Funny how these reptiles have a huge following of running dogs.
Why only 2013 ? It has been going on since 2008, the year these people had their first taste of power. It will go on and on. 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and so on.
Because Madame Speaker tweeted that 2013 has been a very good year for her and her political patron got himself a new Merc S-class.
Madam Speaker is on a roll. My estimate is that her salary this term will total RM2mil. Fantastic year for the female iguana.
Look at their neck.. look at it…. see the …..
:Dsarah
This really has been a year where youve established yourself as a top class hate mongering political parasite. You and your incessant call for divisiveness. Enjoy the new year with your minions on this site.
Are you talking about LGE? don’t be jealous about his new car. he deserve that new model.. He is nothing compare to Mdm Speaker.. I means his salary..
Shouldn’t LGE be most appropriately referred to as Lee Guano.
Used to enjoy your postings but now you have descended to name calling and a ‘hate’ campaign against the Chinese. Wonder why? Seems to be a female Ridhuan Tee in the making but this is a free country and you have the right to belittle anyone. Have you consider going into politics and take on your hated DAP? Getting support from UMNO to bash your target race shouldn’t be a problem and they pay well too. So, Helen, go for it! Happy bashing in 2014!
re: “target race”
I do not see Hannah as a Chinese. She is a species all of her own.
That defines you Helen. That one comment about Hannah as a species truly defines you. Have a look in the mirror will ya?
re: “a species”
I accept what I am — a Chinese. I do not kick up a fuss at the National Registration Department to force them to create a new Race box (where none existed before in the official borang) just so that I can self-define my race/species “Anak Malaysia” that has never been previously recorded yet in the country.
Hmmm, angry hornets buzzing here. Why? Agitated much?
Does the truth sting your hive (the City Harvest collective)?
You are despicable. And you know it.
I know who sent you, heh-heh-heh.
Pandai you pilih color Iguana Ori i.e Ungu dengan Iguana Jadian tu Helen, SEBIJON SIOT….ROTFL
Chameleon = Sesumpah
Re. self-define my race/species “Anak Malaysia” that has never been previously recorded yet in the country.
Not even in the United States of America, Kiblat the people of Jerusubang.
Ironically, we hear more about Hannah Yeoh from this blog than from any other media. It does not surprise me if she harbours some psychological obsession with Hannah.
Helen does not kick a fuss at the National Registration Department, but she sure kicks up a fuss over Christians, Hannah Yeoh, The Star newspaper, MCA, DAP, and now, Khairy. The same tune played over and over again.
Mine may be a successful sopo blog but at the end of the day, a blog is still only a blog with limited reach, which is a constraint inherent in the medium itself.
By comparison, each tweet released by Hannah Yeoh, for example, will land in the timelines of her 86,000 followers. That is a very wide dispersion of evangelista propaganda.
The TMI article complaining that RM12k a month isn’t enough has been Facebooked 61,500 times from the portal alone.
Now if I merely wanted to indulge in propaganda or to be “a politician” (as insinuated by the cheap shot from the commenter ‘above‘), then I would be using Twitter and Facebook, wouldn’t I? (b’cos social media is the most effective tool to reach a wider audience).
However, I don’t use Twitter or Facebook b’cos of their limitation as any kind of conduit for rational discussion. Twitter limits you to 140 characters, which is something like a sentence and a half. The format encourages snappy soundbites, not the fleshing out of logical explanations and argument vs counter argument.
Hannah Yeoh uses her Twitter to spread hate, like going “hu hu hu” at “the biggest [Big Mama] of them all” or tweeting incitement such as “Who is more absurd, Joceline or Helen?” Such destructive tweets have no intellectual value.
Neither do I use Facebook b’cos the medium is not one that supports a layout for tables, charts and graphs. You probably could upload data to Facebook if you really wanted to, but the social nature of Facebooking does not make it one where users are keen on sharing such heavy-going content.
The fact that I blog and eschew Twitter/Instagram/Facebook testifies to my intent of engaging meaningfully. After all, my blog allows readers/commenters to also enjoy the facility of writing 2,000 word comments (Conrad, I-hate-N’Sync & one or two others have passed this wordcount) and this indicates that I’m supporting a medium – blog – that enables readers to have a lot of say.
If you look at the Malaysiakini feedback to the CSL article, https://helenang.wordpress.com/2013/12/31/sex-tape-a-fine-example-of-dapster-hysteria/
you can see that the majority of the comments are short and nothing more than venom and abuse spewed at Dr Chua. Of what benefit to the general public are any of the comments on the Malaysiakini CSL article?
Come to your allegation of “obsession with Hannah” and “the same tune played over and over again”, I’ve already admitted before that I can be repetitive. I’m sure you can remember me making this admission.
This article that you’re commenting on refers to Papa and Mama Dapster. I don’t focus on the other DAP pollies, e.g. Teng Chang Khim, Liew Chin Tong, Boo Cheng Hau, Tan Seng Giaw, etc because they’re not Dapsters even though they’re DAP.
In fact it is to my immense credit that I leave almost everybody else in the DAP alone (isn’t that true?) Therefore, it’s also far from the truth for anyone to accuse me of being anti-DAP. But what to do? It is in the nature of Dapsters to simply accuse.
As for being repetitive, it is explained in my first para of this thread. Again what to do? I do not have the ‘quantity’ (readership) and so I have to make it up with the frequency.
The J-Star has an immense readership (still, despite the recent drop in circulation) as well as control of cyberspace.
The Star Online Twitter a/c has 310,000 followers. On the day that Hannah Yeoh was appointed Speaker, the J-Star editors tweeted the news 10 times. This means that in the span of a single day (24 hours), Star Online tweeted their promo of Hannah Yeoh to 3 million timeline mentions.
Given the scenario I’ve described above, why do you begrudge my habit of repetition (a little annoying perhaps, granted) if my loyal readers are willing to put up with it? Since my topics don’t float your boat, then by all means, just sail away to another sea.
But don’t lah take such unbecoming potshots although you’re not as cheap as ‘above’ @ 2013/12/31 at 4:08 pm who implied that I should make myself available for hire by Umno. Now if that’s not scumbaggy, I don’t what is. But that is only the nature of the Dapster beast, is it not?
After all, my blog suffered DDoS attacks for a whole two weeks around the time of GE13. And the oppo have the gall to sell themselves as defenders of freedom of speech. You all really have no idea with how much contempt sane and rational people regard you royal hypocrites, do you?
Wow. That is a long reply.
Re: I don’t focus on the other DAP pollies, e.g. Teng Chang Khim, Liew Chin Tong, Boo Cheng Hau, Tan Seng Giaw, etc because they’re not Dapsters even though they’re DAP.
So, what is Dapsters?
Hahahaha, thanks for taking the trouble to read.
By popular consensus, Dapsters are … see, https://helenang.wordpress.com/2013/12/25/dapster-poll-scale-of-1-to-10-please-vote/
Seen it. But that is what readers define Dapsters. What about your personal opinion?
You target mostly LGE and HY in your blog. Not so much on other DAP leaders. Why? What is the difference between the 2 with other DAP leaders?
re: “You target mostly LGE and HY in your blog. Not so much on other DAP leaders. Why? What is the difference between the 2 with other DAP leaders?”
Hardly anyone else among the DAP leaders. Not even the big gun Christians like Teresa Kok and Tony Pua.
What is it about those two? A Chinese wouldn’t get it. But if you were to go in the pro-establishment Malay blogosphere, you will see that LGE is universally loathed. Ditto Hannah Yeoh among the Indian alternative media practitioners.
In Hannah’s case I have a theory: Most sopo bloggers or those tweeting are male. The Indians guys react negatively to her b’cos her kids are not Indian, and secondly the Indians are a parochial society and therefore Mr Hannah Yeoh hurts their community ‘ego’ (pride. self-worth, Hindu traditions).
In a nutshell, I’m not at all unusual to dislike LGE or HY. The deep dislike for LGE (among Malays who see him as the epitome of biadab) and for HY (among Indian Hindus who see her as mengada-ngada) is very widespread. It is only b’cos Chinese Dapsters are so blinkered that they cannot fathom how other folks perceive their icons.
As to my focus on those two, my opinion is that they’re the biggest hate mongerers in Malaysia and they cultivate a blinded-by-hate mob mentality among Chinese and Christians that will lead to a race-religion clash.
“It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get.” (Confucius)
They’ve been adopting the easy route to Gold and Glory, by patronizing the Chinese community and Malaysians in general.
“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.”
(Gautama Buddha)
Let those of us who are responding in indignation to hate-mongering be careful that we are not fanning up an uncontrollable blaze of rage in ourselves.
“To lead people, walk beside them ……
As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence.
The next best are those, the people honor and praise.
And the next after that, the people fear; But the worst leaders are those the people hate ……
When the best leader’s work is done the people say,
“We did it ourselves!” (Lao Tzu)
Can you folks remember the last time we all had the best of leaders? I kind of recall during Dr. M’s time, often he was transparent at times invisible as we went on with our daily lives and achievements.
re: “As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence.”
Agree. Like firemen. Only when there are fires do they emerge. We don’t notice their existence otherwise.
HY dan LGE ni kokok berderai-derai, riuh sekampung.
It is easy for them to make the people hate the government and they have succeeded beyond repair. Easy test: How many Chinese believe that Rosmah actually bought that RM25m diamonf ring? You’ll be surprised.
But they cannot run a local government with any decency themselves — dalam jangkamasa beberapa tahun sahaja, Subang Jaya sudah mendapat jolokan “City of Sin”. They can’t even run their party elections and they want to run down the EC.
The BN took half a century to build this country. Pakatan has destroyed in half a dozen years.
Lim Guan Eng is one of the main leaders of the DAP, so it is understandable that partisan attacks from the other side will be directed at him.
On the other hand, the incessant coverage of Hannah Yeoh in this blog is perplexing, given that other personalities such as Azmin Ali and the state Executive Councillors wield more influence than her. She tries to justify it by pointing out that Hannah’s social media posts reaches over 85,000 followers, for instance. However, if a blogger is constantly posting nearly every day about say for instance… how Tan Seri Pandikar Amin Mulia is the devil walking on Earth, many people would start wondering if he has an unhealthy obsession to embark on such vindictive vendetta.
Correction AC-DC, it is 86,000 Twitter followers. The number is comparable to the NST‘s circulation.
Re: “Lim Guan Eng is one of the main leaders of the DAP”
Is Hannah similarly one of the main leaders of the DAP, or is she not?
DAP Selangor, KL and Penang are the 3 most important prongs of the party. DAP leads the Pg state government and would have been the main player in the S’gor govt had not it been for the Sultan’s influence.
I won’t deny that Azmin is influential just as you should not and cannot that the Speaker is No.2 in the executive hierarchy. Don’t deny that or else I shall think that it’s a waste of my time replying deniers.
Aside from being Speaker and taking home RM50k a month, Hannah Yeoh has also a slew of Personal Assistants, the last one of which has made it to become the current Adun of Bukit Gasing (PJ Selatan).
Is Hannah Yeoh influential or not if she can bring up her Personal Assistant to become an Adun? Looking at Rajiv Rishyakaran’s success, many wannabes would be scrambling to fill the PA slots but most unfortunately, Hannah’s cronyism means that the vacancies are only open to evangelistas.
Aside from Teresa Kok, can you name any other woman leader in the DAP with as high a profile as Hannah Yeoh?
Correction AC-DC, it is 86,000 Twitter followers”
That is “over 85,000” as I said.
“I won’t deny that Azmin is influential just as you should not and cannot that the Speaker is No.2 in the executive hierarchy. Don’t deny that or else I shall think that it’s a waste of my time replying deniers.”
How is she Number Two in the state executive hierarchy?
What state government portfolio does she hold?
Does she have control over the legislative aspect of the state government?
Are you implying by your logic that Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia is actually the third most powerful in the Malaysian government executive hierarchy, after Muhiyiddin Yassin?
“…and would have been the main player in the S’gor govt had not it been for the Sultan’s influence.”
DAP is tied with PAS for number of seats. PKR holds the Menteri Besar’s post. PKR and PAS have a total of 29 seats in the State Assembly, compared to DAP’s tally of 15. I doubt they can run things their way without the others objecting.
re: “Correction AC-DC, it is 86,000 Twitter followers” / That is “over 85,000″ as I said.”
She has 85,974 twits following her. My figure of 86,000 is more accurate than your figure of “over 85,000”.
re: “What state government portfolio does she hold?”
What state government portfolio does the Deputy President of the US and the Speaker of the House (American No.3) hold, as a cross comparison?
re: “Does she have control over the legislative aspect of the state government?”
Then what is she being paid RM22,500 every month for, and sitting in that big chair in the middle of the Dewan? A manager who is earning RM22.5k monthly has his defined scope of duties. Why don’t you tell us hers?
re: “Are you implying by your logic that Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia is actually the third most powerful in the Malaysian government executive hierarchy, after Muhiyiddin Yassin?”

I doubt you know what you’re talking about. I doubt that you’ve stepped into Selangor even 10 times in the last year.
“She has 85,974 twits following her. My figure of 86,000 is more accurate than your figure of “over 85,000″.”
85,974 is still “over 85,000”. Do not try too hard to score marks over petty issues such as this.
“What state government portfolio does the Deputy President of the US and the Speaker of the House (American No.3) hold, as a cross comparison?”
“Then what is she being paid RM22,500 every month for, and sitting in that big chair in the middle of the Dewan? A manager who is earning RM22.5k monthly has his defined scope of duties. Why don’t you tell us hers?”
The US Government is made of three distinct branches; Legislative (which includes the House of Representatives and Senate), Executive (President, Vice President, and Cabinet), and Judicial. While the Speaker is second in succession, that does not make him or her Number Three due to the other branches of government. Also, it is unlikely Hannah Yeoh is first in succession to Khalid Ibrahim.
Since you are the one kicking up such a fuss over her, shouldn’t you be the one telling us about her roles and responsibilities?
“I doubt you know what you’re talking about. I doubt that you’ve stepped into Selangor even 10 times in the last year.”
I live in Selangor. My residential address on my Identity Card is based in Selangor.
“Don’t lah split hairs. I meant “Indian alternative media (practitioners), i.e. bloggers, tweeters, etc) in the same spirit that I said pro-establishment Malay blogosphere. My reference is necessarily limited b’cos I can’t read Tamil!”
Then it should be ‘pro-establishment Indian blogosphere/alternative media’.
re: “85,974 is still “over 85,000″. Do not try too hard to score marks over petty issues such as this.”
Don’t be so petty. A simple matter of acknowledging that my 86k figure is more accurate than your 85k figure also you cannot do, ah? So kiasu.
re: “While the Speaker is second in succession, that does not make him or her Number Three due to the other branches of government.”
In the US, the Speaker is No.3. You don’t watch movies, meh? Olympus Has Fallen (Morgan Freeman playing the Speaker who becomes the acting president).
re: “Also, it is unlikely Hannah Yeoh is first in succession to Khalid Ibrahim.”
Okay if Khalid were incapacitated tomorrow, BY PROTOCOL who takes over? You think the Sultan is going to summon Azmin?
re: “Since you are the one kicking up such a fuss over her, shouldn’t you be the one telling us about her roles and responsibilities?”
Since you’re the one defending her like you’re living in her back pocket, why don’t you make up your mind? (1) Are her responsibilities heavy enough to warrant the RM22.5k paycheque? or (2) Since you dismiss the importance of the Speaker’s role, then pls explain why Selangorians are paying her that hefty paycheque for being an unimportant office holder?
re: “I live in Selangor. My residential address on my Identity Card is based in Selangor.”
Hah! You’re posting from a foreign country and you’ve been doing so for yonks.
re: “Then it should be ‘pro-establishment Indian blogosphere/alternative media’.”
You must be an almost bald Chinaman. That’s why you’re splitting hairs in the hope of multiplying whatever you have left on your head.
“Don’t be so petty. A simple matter of acknowledging that my 86k figure is more accurate than your 85k figure also you cannot do, ah? So kiasu.”
If you want to argue over unrelated small issues…
Now, you said “86,000”. I said “over 85,000″.
For example.
Ali has 78 apples.
Bakar says Ali “has over 70 apples”.
Che Mat says Ali “has 80 apples”.
By logic, Bakar is correct. You do not need to ask a Cambridge mathematician to tell you this.
“In the US, the Speaker is No.3. You don’t watch movies, meh? Olympus Has Fallen (Morgan Freeman playing the Speaker who becomes the acting president).”
“Okay if Khalid were incapacitated tomorrow, BY PROTOCOL who takes over? You think the Sultan is going to summon Azmin?”

What would you like to discuss next? The likelihood of Bruce Willis being sent into space to destroy a meteor?
On the issue of acting Menteri Besar:
New Straits Times, 12 September 1989
‘Sujak Appointed Acting MB’
‘Selangor State Executive Councillor for local government and housing Datuk Abu Sujak Mahmud was today appointed acting Menteri Besar by the Sultan of Selangor.’
“Since you’re the one defending her like you’re living in her back pocket, why don’t you make up your mind? (1) Are her responsibilities heavy enough to warrant the RM22.5k paycheque? or (2) Since you dismiss the importance of the Speaker’s role, then pls explain why Selangorians are paying her that hefty paycheque for being an unimportant office holder?”
I do not agree with the magnitude of the pay raise. However, to claim salary is correlated with her position vis-a-vis to the Menteri Besar is disingenuous.

You will need a lot of the above to grasp. Have a nice evening.

The regulars already know you are kindergarten level. You needn’t count apples to prove them right.
re: “http://www.cracked.com/article_19611_6-things-movies-love-to-get-wrong-about-workplace.html”
And where in your link does it mention Olympus or the President/Speaker? Pls C&P for us.
re: “What would you like to discuss next? The likelihood of Bruce Willis being sent into space to destroy a meteor?”
Like I said. C&P the relevant rebuttal to Speaker/President, then you can bring up BW.
re: “I do not agree with the magnitude of the pay raise. However, to claim salary is correlated with her position vis-a-vis to the Menteri Besar is disingenuous.”
I am claiming the order of precedence.
re: “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_server”
Thanks for explaining how your otak thinking process is similarly rerouted to pass through your kepala lutut.
re: “You will need a lot of the above to grasp. Have a nice evening.”
The arthritis in your knee will give you a headache. Kesian.
Hasn’t he learned a thing or two in Mathematics in school particularly about the concept of “rounding it up to the nearest figure”?
Si Dapsters ni selalu nak tegakkan benang basah. Kiasu sudah menjadi darah daging mereka.
Kalau resam padi semakin berisi semakin tunduk, bagi diorang lagi banyak dibuka mulut, lagi dilondehkan rupa peribadi mereka-mereka itu.
‘Aku Melayu’ was saying it took me some years to see the DAP’s true colours. Well, after 2008, they really started opening their mouths and so discerning people began to realise. By 2009-2010, I had already been distancing my support from the oppo cause.
Re. Kalau resam padi semakin berisi semakin tunduk
Tak juga, cer teguk Mama Dapster tu.. Makin berisi makin galak dia buat dakyah…
“But if you were to go in the pro-establishment Malay blogosphere, you will see that LGE is universally loathed.”
Is that not obvious? Pro-establishment pro-Barisan Nasional blogs would be constantly tossing negative propaganda at the opposition coalition. It is not just Guan Eng, but other opposition personalities too; from Anwar to Nik Aziz.
“In Hannah’s case I have a theory: Most sopo bloggers or those tweeting are male. The Indians guys react negatively to her b’cos her kids are not Indian, and secondly the Indians are a parochial society and therefore Mr Hannah Yeoh hurts their community ‘ego’ (pride. self-worth, Hindu traditions).”
Can you put up some articles from that bloggers regarding Hannah Yeoh?
re: “Can you put up some articles from that bloggers regarding Hannah Yeoh?”
Google my blog for the MIC bloggers / special officers who have been blocked from Madame Speaker’s Twitter timeline, check out their blogs, trace their Twitter history and proceed from those leads.
Note: You have to search (words) in BM as well. If you come across stuff in Tamil, then go by pictures.
“Google my blog for the MIC bloggers / special officers who have been blocked… ”
“… is universally loathed. Ditto Hannah Yeoh among the Indian alternative media practitioners.”
I will look it up. However, it is certainly disingenuous to say Hannah is loathed universally in the Indian alternative media, when it is just the MIC bloggers and personalities tossing their barbs.
If they are attacking her on just familial factors, it makes them just petty and childish.
re: “it is certainly disingenuous to say Hannah is loathed universally in the Indian alternative media, when it is just the MIC bloggers and personalities tossing their barbs.”
Don’t lah split hairs. I meant “Indian alternative media (practitioners), i.e. bloggers, tweeters, etc) in the same spirit that I said pro-establishment Malay blogosphere. My reference is necessarily limited b’cos I can’t read Tamil!
re: “If they are attacking her on just familial factors, it makes them just petty and childish.”
Partly that, and also partly the same reason that LGE is such a hypocrite. He promises about press freedom but then threatened the reporters during his ‘Rainbow’ press conference, “you dare you print lah and you see what I do to you”.
Hannah Yeoh preaches freedom of information (Selangor’s FOI Act) but has already blocked so many Twitter users who challenge her in her timeline.
Why not you just let AC-DC happy with how great his Mdm Speaker and his Tokong? He surely very happy that his Mdm. speaker earn her huge salary and his Tokong got new car.. pls let him happy..
:D
Okay, Dapsters are happy. Their Papa got new Merc and their mama got tripled salary. Dapsters will get a year’s free supply of Holy Water.
According to Miss Loone, Ah Eng has initiated a legal suit against Jimmy Lim (not Jimmy Lin the Taiwanese singer)- don’t know the details of the report since I’m no longer a subscriber. M’sianInsider on the other hand says Ah Eng threatened to sue. Hope more Penang NGOs dare to voice up against him before it’s too late.
They’re feeling it ,Helen. They dish out a lot of unsavoury stuff but when something hits them and their kind back, they get offensive.
Hate mongerer, divisive, despicable: sound familiar? They know what these words mean but that’s exactly what they have been at: churning out hate, being divisive and entirely despicable.
Good luck to them.
ps. I notice that Hanna Banan has flat feet.
re: “churning out hate, being divisive and entirely despicable”
Yup. Like how they like to scream “racist”.
The hotter they keep the hate on the boil, the longer they get to enjoy their RM50k per month paycheques and new Merc S-class that go with their job. (Good question: What exactly is it that a politician does?!!)
Ms H. A Very Happy New Year for you and all our friends. On the current topic, ‘one swallow does not make an Indian summer !’
Helen, Happy New Year to you and everyone here. May 2014 be a better year for everyone.
And on the subject of iguanas, here’s the link to my favourite Iguana Song. [YouTube]
Your cartoon is too cute.
The species Eng is more like that photograph I have above.
Happy New Year to you too, and to everyone else. I must write about my New Year resolutions.
Well, your featured iguana is giving a bad impression of iguanas which like my iguana, just want to laze about in the sun and surf. And not forgetting, your featured iguana is also giving a bad impression of our nation.
:)
My apology to all iguanas out there that the featured Eng in my blog is giving you all a bad name.
Madam speaker.. Don’t wear skinny jeans if you don’t have skinny genes, please. Buruk tahap tokong la
