“Resentment against the government is high”

‘Building bridges’ is evangelista Doublespeak, i.e. you say one thing but you do the opposite. You say “love” but you express hate. You preach peace but your actions are those of waging war.

Building bridges implies there are two divided sides that must be bridged.

Unlike the “luuurrve, luuurrve, luuurrve” holy water brigade, I do not care for, nor chose to engage in peddling a faked and false kumbayah esprit de corps.

Hence I’ve been demonized in the English opposition cyberspace for featuring the burning bridge illustration and logo (below).

The “peace lovers”, it appears, are avidly calling for “national reconciliation” (url link to Grandpa Dapster’s blog).

Their talk is full of words like “we’re all brothers and sisters”, “we belong to one big family”. They try to bolster their assertion with the fact of Bersih 3.0’s multiracial turnout. This, they claim, is proof that Malays and Chinese have successfully breached the racial barrier and are now comrades in arms.

Yet in the article ‘Prising Johor’s fortress‘ by Liew Chin Tong (Guan Eng’s man for the party state chairmanship), the DAP strategist reveals that:

“Pakatan’s challenge is to ride the wave of dissent while resentment against the government is high, to convince the ordinary Malays that Pakatan’s policies will look after their well-being.”

This comes from the horse’s mouth. Liew Chin Tong is the guy most popular with the delegates in the CEC reelection last month ahead of even Kit Siang and Karpal. And he has plainly stated that the DAP strategy is to bank on “resentment against the government [that] is high”.

Love, love, love
Sweet talking

Politics of hate

It is in fanning hatred that the DAP has been most successful.

Resentment against Umno (the gomen) is at an all time high. For Dapsters, there is nothing that the Malays in government can do right as well as nothing that that the Chinese in government can do wrong. For example, the Selangor Speaker’s pay hike and the Penang Chief Minister’s new Mercedes were most earnestly defended and ardently justified.

And now they’ve set their sights on winning enough support in Sabah and Sarawak to carry them to Putrajaya. Thus their next love-hate propaganda is “your God is my God, all paths lead to Him” which at the same time exploits the wave of dissent on the ‘Allah’ issue.

Desmond Tutu

One and the same God, really?

But are the evangelistas’ gods the same as the God of Islam?

The defenders of Allah’s sanctity have been vilified as “extremists”. But is the behaviour of the evangelistas adorned with doves and garlanded with flowers? Just look at their assertive demands and aggressive language.

The evangelistas have approached the ‘Allah’ issue with duplicity and are applying an identical deceit to national unity. When it suits them, they revert to the 10-point solution whose existence Guan Eng ignored in his 2012 Christmas message. When it suits them, they invoke Najib’s 1Malaysia which at other times they rubbish.

Sorry but I just ain’t convinced that those fighting tooth-and-nail for Christians to use the Allah word (especially if these people themselves do not speak Malay) really want any meaningful reconciliation.

NajibLGEkrismasClose

What kind of people are they?

Blogger Jebat Must Die’s most recent article is titled ‘The sly christian priests and the naïve muslims‘.

Writes JMD:

“The evangelicals use tactics which they term as Conceptualisation and Localisation when preaching christianity to muslims. They use terms and jargons familiar with the muslims in the effort to convert them.”

(My side note: Remember how they applied the ‘What would Jesus do?’ question to Prophet Muhammad — read HERE)

JMD warns, “This deception and double-dealing is something that is real which muslims must be wary about.”

JMD further talks about “fraud”, “stealth” and “the element of trickery evidenced by the centuries of proselytisation methods among the evangelicals towards the unsuspecting muslims”.

In my opinion, “bridge building” is merely another deceptive tactic which is one of a piece with the rest of their slick double-dealing.

We will be selective trust the Chinese money e.g. Personal Income Tax and GST.

        1. Doesn’t matter what the source of the money is, money is money, piece of paper with the Agongs face not even worth the paper it’s printed on that only works with the notion of trust, that is, the faith that the Governor promises to pay you that certain amount, ie fiat currency.

Don’t think that concept is compatible with Islamic teachings, so debating where the money comes from is kinda moot and dumb.

Bottom line, just fecking take the money!

          1. Re. Doesn’t matter what the source of the money is, money is money,

Dalam Islam ada Beza Halal dan Haram. Duit hasil judi, rasuah, pelacuran dan sewaktunya haram dimakan.

Only DUMB and DUMBER doesn’t know these concept exist in Islamic teaching.

    Excerpt

Bible translation and contextualization have long divided Christians working to fulfill the Great Commission. When missionary pioneer William Carey translated the Bible into Bengali in 1809, he used the Hindu word for the supreme being, Ishwar, to refer to God. Critics charged him with making a fatal compromise in the name of comprehension. Today, “Son of God” is hardly the only point of contention among missionaries to Muslims. For example, they also tangle over whether Bible translations should use Allah to refer to God. Both sides make a compelling case. Muslims understand Allah in terms of simple monotheism rather than the dynamic Trinitarian theology that Christians profess.

Yet Allah, the word for God that Muslims know from the Qur’an, actually predates Islam. Some translators have recovered it so that Muslims reading Scripture for the first time won’t immediately reject the Bible as foreign to their culture.

    1. Excellent, this should have been done close door not in open court. Now both side especially the extremist Muslim want to ‘defeat’ the Christian from using this word. This certainly hurt the pride of the Christian and they have no choice but to resist.

If the Muslim were to have the discussion behind close door and convince them the truth and LET THE CHRISTIAN change the word all by themselves without being seen pressured by the Muslim, the outcome would have been different and peaceful.

      1. Re: “This certainly hurt the pride of the Christian”

Pride? Re-brand their God to Allah and you call them ‘Pride’..

      2. This bigot certainly is beyond salvation intellectually. probably congenitally defective.

in her posting, melayu bangsa yang paling penyabar, helen has provided us with the chrono of how the home ministry has patiently and diplomatically persuaded the Christians to back down but arrogance got the better of them. If they are willing to pay the price of their intransigence, so be it.

Now, who brought the matter to court? Who got hysterical over the court decision? Who made the most and loudest noise since then til now?

Who’s the extremists? Why this sudden obsession with Allah?

Do you know that Allah is not a term or a word, it’s a name? If the Christians regard Jesus as god, why not call him Tuhan Isa like they do in English, Lord Jesus.

We know you motive. Leave the Muslims alone. They may be wretched and pathetic but converting them to Christianity is like taking them from light to darkness… and don’t let me elaborate. You will be begging for mercy from me. Your incomprehensible doctrine will not be able to withstand the most mild and basic of scrutiny!

Allah beyond space-time, the Origin of all creation, beginningless & endless, wholly unlike created things. Imagining the Omniverse: This is not beyond the scope of Islamic metaphysics. Mr. Pakiam and Andrew, are you Zero game for some high-level discussions?

What garbage. The Christian Natives have been using the word Allah for ages before and after the federation of Malaysia was established. It was only in 1986 that the first letter from the Ministry was issued.

          1. Re: The Christian Natives have been using the word Allah for ages..

Are you talking about all christian including your Pope? from where you got this information..

What I’m understand (correct me if wrong), your Pope doesn’t call his God as Allah in his prayer.. why must malaysian christian so eagerly being difference with their Pope?

  2. Sorry off topic but connected to the “Be Kind To Animals” heading.

Penang has been the venue of the two of the news of consumption of endangered species.
First the ever famous Lizard King on Aljazeera

    http://www.aljazeera.com/programmes/101east/2013/11/return-lizard-king-2013111683648328719.html

    Youtube:

Now comes the disgusting consumption of the endangered grouper in Penang by the kiasu Chinese diaspora.

    http://www.stasiareport.com/the-big-story/asia-report/malaysia/story/diners-rush-penang-feast-giant-grouper-20140109

“I took the first available flight out of Hong Kong after receiving a text message about the catch, and arrived late Monday night,” said Mr Johnson Chan, 67, who indulged in his “extra special” large bowl of fish head bee hoon soup.”

Since Mr Chan is quite old and will meet Allah soon, I hope he will be reincarnated as a rhino so some other dirty old man can eat the horns and have any erection. Kiasu!

    http://borneobulletin.brunei-online.com/index.php/2014/01/09/customers-rush-to-penang-restaurant-to-eat-200kg-grouper/

“Vivian Foo and Jess Chong, both 25 from Kuala Lumpur, enjoyed savouring the kerapu with prawns, porridge and noodles.

The duo, who read about the gigantic catch in the New Straits Times and were overwhelmed by the fish’s sheer size and price tag, decided to dine at Ka Bee Cafe on Tuesday.”

Don’t these people have any shame when consuming any endangered animals? The Chinese diaspora are so afraid of reincarnation and hell but they have no heart when killing endangered animals. Who eats rhino? Who eats sharks fin?

    http://www.thestar.com.my/Opinion/Letters/2014/01/09/Dont-allow-consumption-of-giant-groupers/

In fact Muslims (and Jews) do not eat anything and everything that crawls – thus the halal/haram rule. (I am not sure with the kiasu Jerusubangnites – who can negotiate the Bible). This keeps the environment intact unlike these kiasu people.

Today we have another article on the torture of animals in Malaysia.

    http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014/01/10/Catch-these-snake-charmers-FB-photos-of-live-cats-being-fed-to-pythons-upset-animal-lovers/

“They are demanding that action be taken against the men, said to be snake charmers from Kuala Lumpur, for animal cruelty”

Feeding live cats to phytons and facebooking. Disgusting. I wish could cut off the penises of these men and feed to the cats and broadcast LIVE on YouTube.

  3. You would also notice that in the past the Evangelistas seem to target the Taoist and the Buddhist and trying to convert them directly. They seem to cool off.

Their strategy is to target the government by painting a racist and intolerant picture of the UMNO muslims. They make the Taoists and Buddhist trust them as the “defender” of the rights of the non Bumiputera.

In fact the temple is all open to the head shaving stunt to protest against “corrupt practices”. Even our Buddisht MCA leader with his fierce face wants to protect the non Muslims from the Bible raiders. Sly indoctrination isn’t it?
    Tun M is right!
    http://www.thesundaily.my/news/926250

“Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has predicted a gloomy 2014 for Malaysia due to controversies surrounding race relations in the country. He said 2014 is going to be a “difficult” year because some of the issues surrounding race relations were not present before”

2014 Year of the Horse. Trampled by horses!

    1. Re: They make the Taoists and Buddhist trust them as the “defender” of the rights of the non Bumiputera.

You are right.. they need to associate themselves with Chinese and Indian..

Not really sure if Taoist and the Buddhist aware about this movement..

  4. Njib really has to go! He has become our biggest liability now. issue after issue, controversy after after controversy passed us by. What did he do each time? Nothing! He’s so lame and so clueless. He appoints one adviser or group of adviser after another, only for the people he appointed [he chose all the wrong people] to advise him to screw up things more and more. People are left on their own to fight each other.

One of the parameters to gauge a leader’s ability is his conflict resolution skill. How I miss great grandpa Mahathir. If only he can come back, but just to resolve the present unnecessary@avoidable social typhoon in the form of “Allah” controversy. After that he has to retire, again. This conflict will cost us Malaysians dear. If najib fails to act decisively immediately to diffuse the tension, I’m sure, very soon, a mosque or church will get torched.

Now I’m pleading with UMNO members to call for a vote of no confidence against Najib immediatel. But don’t choose Muhyidin Yeltsin to replace him, it’s like having another Najib. I think, at the moment, the right man is Zahid Hamidi! ZAHID HAMIDI FOR PM!

          1. Org Cina hated DrM at one period of time, put up with him in another period of time, and hate him now.

Do you really think the Malays care what the org Cina think of Zahid now?

            1. I’m speaking of and for myself.

As much as I am exasperated by the YAB PM’s cluelessness, I really can’t think of anyone better from the Umno stable to replace him.

I just wish that he would get a grip and take charge and not let the extremists get away with murder.

          2. I have expected that answer. but the Chinese dislike for him is misplaced. He’s not what they think he is. I’m no fan of UMNO. In fact I despise UMNO for its corruption, oppression and abuse of power. But UMNO is the party in power. PM has to be some one from parti jelek tu.

Now we are a nation in crisis. Zahid is firm, doesn’t bow to pressure and not afraid to make unpopular decisions. He’s not profligate and doesn’t have a wife like Queen Rose-mah, the de-facto PM! Zahid has deficiencies but not fundamentally defective, unlike Najib. Zahid’s deficiencies can be mitigated. Najib? While we suffer from all sides, all he cares about is his own popularity and plundering the nation’s coffer. Didn’t you read about najib’s latest private jet? Costing us RM27,000.00 per flying hour? Source of news from Suara Keadilan but it can’t be untrue! We can’t afford NR [najib rosmah] any longer.

            1. I’ll stick to Najib if he will take firm action against the extremists and put a stop to their terrorizing the general public.

                  1. “Isma has also identified who the “extremists” are.”

So Isma is facing a mirror and pointing to it. Interesting.

                    1. Previously I had supposed you were dyslexic. I was right the last time. That’s why you’re unable read a blurb that says “Christian extremists” (it’s your dyslexia).

                    2. Isn’t Isma itself an extremist organisation of ethnoreligious supremacists hostile to other cultures and religions in Malaysia?

                    3. On the contrary, the so-called ‘Christian extremists’ are the ones coworking with the inter-religious groups and inter-faith councils.

Isma on the other hand, is opposed towards inter-faith ties. It maintains a supremacist view on religion. It even criticises other Muslims who work for better relations between religions.

                    4. re: ” ‘Christian extremists’ are the ones coworking with the inter-religious groups and inter-faith councils.”

They are the ones who caused the damage.

e.g. A troop of beruk damaged the roof and caused it to leak. Therefore the roof has to be fixed. The Christian extremists Instagram themselves working on the roof and tell the whole world — “see how concerned and helpful we are”

The neighbours house is quiet. No damage to the roof. Nobody has to climb up to the roof to do repairs. Then the Christian extremists turn around an accuse the neighbour — “you got no helpful friends, ah?”

However, the bottomline line is that there’s no reason for anyone to be climbing the roof to neighbour’s house.

What’s there to be proud of being seen on the roof when the cause of the problem are the beruks?

Isn’t it better than there is no nuisance in the first place, rather than thumping your chest about the steps undertaken to mitigate the damage because the nuisance is destructive?

                    5. It works (the tudung, hijab, sahur, “Insya Allah”, “Alhamdulillah”) b’cos ada Melayu yang masih berbaik sangka.

                    6. “Isn’t it better than there is no nuisance in the first place”

Then the Ministry should have sought to determine and understand the cultural-religious issue, before creating a nuisance through the issue of unilateral top-down notices and subsequent notices.

                    7. Does anyone else think (like AC-DC does) that the Home Ministry is at fault and not the evangelistas for the ‘Allah’ issue?

                    8. Re. e.g. A troop of beruk damaged the roof and caused it to leak. Therefore the roof has to be fixed. The Christian extremists Instagram themselves working on the roof and tell the whole world — “see how concerned and helpful we are”

                      Berguling-guling saya gelak Helen.

Tepat sungguh anology awak.

                    9. Correct. For the sake of the Putrajaya crown, the evangelistas are endeavouring their best to make the Christian natives in Sabah and Sarawak hate the peninsula Muslims and loathe “Ketuanan Melayu”.

Before the rise and rise of the DAP evangelistas, there were undoubtedly some problems but the native Christians and Muslims in East Malaysia still managed to accommodate each other. Now the DAP has successfully exported its brand of hate to Borneo.

          1. Of course you will. Because Dapster in general has no integrity and moral ground. Bak kata kekawan saya, kalau lembu dipakaikan baju dan jadi calon DAP pun mereka akan undi.

            Democratic Action Party? My Arse….

    1. Im not sure who is worse; a sleeping PM or a clueless PM?

But I don’t mind having an in-your-face PM like Dr M, again.

    2. But Zahid was a former Anwar supporter, you got no concern? TDM maybe smart and capable but he left UMNO without good successors. I think Muhyiddin, Zahid et al, they’re all the same.

There’s a mild pattern here- Pak Lah’s 4th floor boys brought him down, now Pemandu is dragging Najib down too. It’s deja-vu all over again. Hence what makes you think the next guy taking over won’t be repeating this predecessor’s mistake?

    3. WRONG! Wrong! Wrong, on multiple accounts. Mahathir is pushing for Mukhriz for PM. The old geezer is still pulling strings you know, much like his good friend in the South.

      Mukhriz, anyone?

  5. Hullo checklah. One is calling the other the same name! Christians and Muslims are equally guilty. Cant you see that they are fighting to get converts?

Both parties think that the Orang Asli and Orang Asal have no religion and no culture. So the padris and the imams have been working hard to proselytize, to convert.

How many imams have been rewarded with SUVs for their work? How many priests have built up flocks to collect money and in whose name money has been collected?

    1. Okay, ini rumusannya:

Beware greedy politicians both the Muslim and non-Muslim ones.

Beware the pastors in the RM2 churches who collect 10 percent tithe from their flock. Beware imams who are rewarded with SUVs and the Ostad Feraris.

But most of all, beware the politicians who trade on religion to win popularity. They are the worst combination.

    2. Re: “the padris and the imams have been working hard to proselytize, to convert”

Agree with you but the Imam’s God, Allah… how about the padris?

      1. I doubt that ustazs and Imams and Islamic agencies like Jais, go around every nook and corner of the country trying to convert non Muslims to Muslims.

Their focus is more on preventing Muslims from being converted by the Padres and the evangelists by clamping down soft subversive activities by the Kafiruns like distributing bibles in Malay and with “Allah” used at God.

        1. “I doubt that ustazs and Imams and Islamic agencies like Jais, go around every nook and corner of the country trying to convert non Muslims to Muslims.”

So you think that Christians Natives in Sabah and Sarawak have no right to worship in their mother tongue?

          1. So are you the Native of Sabah and Serawak to begin with?

Why don’t we all hear from them among the silent followers (and I am pretty sure all the imposters will come running to your rescue to answer that).

There have few in past that commented in here where they detest the Evagelista of Semenajung.

              1. For all we know these are fake accounts just like Redbeanies…Nothing surprise us anymore with you Dapster

              2. Plus nobody is stopping them from using the Indonesian Version of the Bible. Have you heard their dialect as in the way they speak over there of both Sabahan and Serawakian?

The thing that perplexes me is that you guys here in Semenanjung Tanah Melayu is working 24-7 to use the same, when you guys don’t even speak and write good Bahasa Melayu.

Ain’t it funny, when you can’t even justify that. That’s why I said time and again, has the Dapster becoming the unofficial spoke person of the Sabahan and Serawakian Christians?

Trust me you are playing with fire. ISMA is just a child play for you guys at this stage.

                1. re: “the Dapster becoming the unofficial spoke person of the Sabahan and Sarawakian Christians?”

DAP is pushing its Impian Sabah and Impian Sarawak. If becoming the spokesman for the Christian natives can get DAP the Putrajaya crown, why not?

After all, they’re willing to bertudung and “Insya Allah” dan become jaguh #sahur. Is their anything that they’re not willing to do?

Yup, they’ve a lot of control in Selangor; they’re the leading Pakatan party in Borneo and they’re attacking the Umno fortress Johor. That’s why their behaviour is so biadab today b’cos they think Umno sudah tersungkur.

                2. “For all we know these are fake accounts just like Redbeanies”

There is a patch of sand over there. It is perfectly nice and soft for you to stick your head in.

“The thing that perplexes me is that you guys here in Semenanjung Tanah Melayu is working 24-7 to use the same, when you guys don’t even speak and write good Bahasa Melayu.”

What is wrong with East Malaysian Christians working and living in the Peninsular to have sermons in their mother tongue? So long as there is no preaching to Malays, it should be no issue. Besides, Sabah and Sarawakian Christian leaders in Barisan Nasional have voiced their concern over the Jais raid.

    3. Farid Junid,

Re. How many imams have been rewarded with SUVs for their work?

Can you tell me which Imam that you know of currently with SUVs whose job is solely to to proselytize?

This is what I know of about most Ustaz (Imam), some work 24-7 to give Kuliah Maghrib, Subuh, and some Zohor as invited speaker at Mosque, Surau, and private events. They are paid based on their popularity, some get as little as RM100 and others RM500 or more per session. Some even run private Religious School/ Tahfiz e.g. Ustaz Kazim Alias, where all the donation from individual, private and government agency as well as through cross country events where collection are made from attendees at personal discretion, are channeled back to the schools.

I don’t know how much the Imam or Ustaz made per month but I am sure that they are no better than most government servant in term of salary, hence, the Kuliah and various religious related events is an alternative side income. Is it wrong for them to do the extra job which is within their domain to earn a decent and better living just like everybody else?

My Ustaz and now one of my most trusted friends, run a private session for Al Quran, Kursus Kahwin, and Fardhu Ain classes on full time basis. A private Al Quran class for a class of 20 students (1 hour per session, 2 times per week) cost RM400 (used to be) or RM20 per person. You can opt to have 1-to1 session as well at RM400. His students ranges fro individual like myself up to Datuk, Tan Sri and Royalties.

While there are news about Sekolah Tahfiz and Ustaz have abused their position by enslaving students to collect donation via selling products such as kitab-kitab and others, the truth is many of these Ustaz and Imam have become the like of celebrities where their audience can easily fill the whole Masjid and even Stadium. Masjid Setia Wangsa and Shah Alam are two example of Mosques who regularly invited “Celebrity” Imam and Ustaz, both local and abroad. Attendance is free of charge, they are paid by the Mosques. Most big Mosques now are well funded as they have a strong and well to do Board of Directors.

They are also those whose give Kuliah for free out of personal and religious obligation.

WRT proselytizing can someone tell me when was the last time any Ustaz or Imam have come knocking on your door to ask you the non-Muslims to embrace Islam?

There maybe some overzealous Imam or Ustaz, but as far I am concern and know of that is not the way Islam is proselytized here in this country.

So you see Encik Farid Junit, please don’t simply shoot your mouth out if you don’t know stuff for a fact. You inadvertently have given a bad name, impression and perception to these Ustaz, Iman and Islam. Maaf Cakap, Dah lah tak membantu menyebarkan Ilmu Agama, mengata ustaz dan Imam yang berusaha membuat amal kebaikan.

As for you Cik Helen and wrt to Ustaz Ferraris, I am not fond of him and many others have the same view as well, I rarely hear or watch his kuliah in youtube, but fyi he is one popular ustaz and command “good dollar” at every session. Frankly, I have not heard of him going from Kampung Orang Asli or Asal to proselytize and it is unfair for you to pass such judgment.

    4. It is part of our duty as a Muslim to introduce and teach Islam to everyone in the hope that they will receive “hidayah” and start to believe in the one god, Allah. And if the Christians have the same requirement, I don’t have a problem with it.

What I find repulsive is deceiving people into believing in Allah, and then interpret Allah as this trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. How can you do something that you believe is noble (I’m assuming) in a deceitful manner?

      1. I found it more repulsive and heart-wrenching that PAS could support the use of ‘Allah’ in the bibles.

        1. Hmmm well shall I start….

          1. Ada orang berdakwah dengan mempelajari ilmu Dunia dan Akhirat dan mengajarkannya pada ahli keluarga, saudara-mara, sahabat, jiran tetangga dan maysarakat Islam dan bukan Islam yang berminat;

          2. Ada orang berdakwah cukup sekadar mempelajari ilmu Dunia dan Akhirat untuk keperluan dirinya sendiri dan me jadi contoh ikutan pada orang lain dengan Akhlak yang terpuji;

          3. Ada orang berdakwah, dengan belajar sedikit-sedikit dan faham sedikit-sedkit dan berkongsi setakat yang mampu dengan ahli keluarga, saudara-mara, sahabat, jiran tetangga dan maysarakat Islam dan bukan Islam yang berminat;

          4. Ada orang berdakwah dengan sedekah dan zakat untuk kebaikan orang lain dan masyarakat yang memerlukan;

          5. Ada orang berdakwah hanya dengan tenaga dan keringat untuk membantu orang laion dan masyarakat yang memerlukan;

          6. Ada orang berdakwah dengan membantu dari segi kewangan pada mereka yang berdakwah dijalan Allah swt

          7. Ada orang berdakwah dengan hanya berdiam diri dari berkata-kata sesuatu yang dia sendiri tidak fahami dan untuk mengelakkan salah faham orang lain; Kerana DIAM ITU LEBIH BAIK DARI BERKATA_KATA YANG TIDAK BERFAEDAH.

          You see in Islam, there is no big or small duty, everybody can play part in their own way based on their own capacity. Yang salahnya dah lah tak belajar tapi memandai-mandai nak mengajar orang lain yang lebih berilmu, seperti ulama dan ahli-ahli agama, dari mereka;
