According to blogger Sarah who’s our regular commenter, the word ‘bobal‘ is slang in the Negeri Sembilan dialect. ‘Bobal’ refers to the smarty pants behaviour of someone who thinks himself to be clever when in truth, he really lacks wisdom.
Are certain Malays put on a pedestal by the Jerusubangites because these Malays possess bobal in liberal doses?

According to Muhammad Suhayl Musauddin, Mohamad Aiman Mohd Radzman and Aiman Azman, the evangelistas seem to be causing national discord.
The threesome wrote in their joint article that the evangelistas also appear to be getting more aggressive and direct in their activities while at the same time “silently sharpening their claws”.
“How much resources, manpower and wealth have they [the evangelistas] got in their coffers and from where does it come?” asked the three Isma activists while observing that the evangelical church is becoming “a source of power and inspiration among the Christian community”.

The Isma activists also believe that it is the job of the evangelistas to fulfill the agenda to “tarnish and smear the identity of religious institutions such as Jais and Jakim”, say the Isma trio.
And then when these Islamic institutions are sufficiently weakened, the human rights movement will “push the Evangelist agenda forward in making the country a more Christian-friendly country,” they added.
More urgently, Muhammad Suhayl and his friends reminded Muslims to “really understand the dangers of the Evangelist Christians, their tactics, their games, in order for us to build towards the desired Malaysian Muslim country. Not the other way around and side with them“.
Perkasa had made the very same complaint about Marina siding with the Christians.

As for Tun Dr Mahathir, he, I believe speaks with sincerity. Whether people like or not is not important. But he will speak.
Tun is a big name in Malaysian politics. more so among malay community. Tun’s endorsement carries a lot of weight. Any MalAY political party that wants to taste power would want Tun to be on its side. Or at least the party must be cordial to Tun.
Tun Abdullah made a big mistake by not restraining Khairi. The price was UMNO losing Kedah. Najib on the other hand knows very well the importance of Tun’s factor..
As for PERKASA, its existence should remind UMNO that the latter is not indispensable. Meaning should UMNO is perceived as not protecting the Malays, PERKASA and recently ISMA are there to replace it.
In crude language, come what may, never strays from Malay aspiration if UMNO wants to survive.
As Malays do not see PAS , PKR as vialble alternative, UMNO to this date is still “holding” the fort. But not for long if Najib listens to his overpaid consultants, .

Does Najib really know? The price in GE12 was Umno losing Kedah. The price to pay in GE14 is BN losing Putrajaya.

The actual word in Bahasa Melayu is “bebal”. It means someone who is so stupid that he/she cannot be taught.

Yeah that’s the beauty of Bahjasa Melayu. You have bodoh, dungu and bebal to be used as a reference to people. Bodoh usually used and accepted reference to stupid people.
Dungu usually will be used as a reference to people who is stupid but you can still teach them.
But the the worst of the worst for stupidity is bebal. This type of person who always think there were right and will go on makes the same mistakes again and again and no matter what you try to tell them this type of people will always ignore it ;).
The older generation usually reserved the bebal to someone who is thinking they were smart but in reality they were not. The elderly usually said “Belaja tinggi tapi bobal” or if they used the word “bodoh” they will say “Belaja tinggi tapi bodo nak mampuih”

1. bukankah apabila seseorang itu masuk ke satu majlis yang sudah ramai dengan orang, seharusnya dia menghulur tangan terlebih dahulu untuk berjabat tangan dengan hadirin yang telah ada lebih awal sebagai tanda persahabatan atau muhibbah?

Well, he certainly has raised a lot of eyebrows with his simplistic, compassionate, people-centric approach that even atheists (some) have respect for him.
I, gave credit when it’s due, and respect him for the fews things that he has done or said which may not be appealing to fellow christians.

I think I need to correct those ISMA writers. Malaysia is a Christian friendly country. Christians have been living here freely, accumulating wealth and practicing their religion without fear of prosecution. Even in the height of Allah issue, most Christians still have strong sense of security and not fear that their security is under threat.
At the same time, Malaysia must also be friendly to Buddhists, Taoists, to the Hindus and utmost to the Muslims who are the majority. The case of Allah is a good example of how one minority group of religious extremist, in this case the Herald Christians, thumping the rights of people of other faiths for their own selfish agenda. While they care about themselves (actually they don’t care about Allah, just themselves), they disregard the sensitivity of people of other faith. They expect people to be friendly to them, but they do not want to be friendly to others. They accused others of not respecting their rights, but they do not want to respect others rights.
Malaysia is always a Christian friendly country. It is friendly to all other faiths as long as these faiths respect the law and constitution because the law and constitution is to protect the rights of all, not just the right of certain group. Just as Malaysia is friendly to all its citizen as long as they abide to the law. Don’t blame the enforcement of not being friendly to you when you do not respect the law.
