What kind of sick people are they?

Ustaz Harun Taib passed away today.

Takziah to his family.

Commenter ‘ayen’ 2014/01/25 at 8:05 pm sent this screenshot of the Malaysian Insider‘s headline on his demise, see below. It reads ‘PAS leader and opponent of non-Muslim use of the word ‘Allah’, Harun Taib, dies’.

HarunTaib2

After complaints, the headline has been edited to read, ‘Outspoken PAS leader Harun Taib dies‘.

However there is still the digital trail (see below) evidence. It is the second most read story in TMI.

Worse than the headline is the reaction from the portal’s evangelista readers.

HarunTaib

A simple RIP message by Sali_Tambap is given two thumbs down.

Another RIP message by napNen is given 16 thumbs down (screenshots below).

What kind of people populate the TMI readership who are always chest-thumping about “building bridges”?

Now the RIP comment has got 21 thumbs down despite the story already pulled from the Most Read list.

  1. Memang dajal RBA. Pejuang parti rakan sendiri mereka layan begini. Tak tahulah kalau PAS masih tidak sedar. Oops! Lupa, Harun Taib is an outspoken PAS leader…

    1. Kalau Khalid Samad or Mujahid Yusof Rawa or Dr Dzulkifley or Marina Mahathir yg meninggal, RBA akan kata, the supporter and lover of non-muslim use of kalimah Allah has died peacefully.. May Allah and ‘his’ son will be waiting for him in heaven.

    1. I wonder why Allahyarham never defend Hassan Ali when the later was sacked from PAS over the Murtad issue? or maybe I missed that piece of news.

  2. Mcm biasa DAPster(Pemimpin, penyokong, sekutu, media) memang dah lama sakit. Nanti kalau LIM KIT SIANG MAMPUS, elok aja kita kata Selamat masuk neraka… ok ke mcm tu?

    1. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ) /Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return

      1. [from the gnostic Gospel of Thomas verse 3]:

        “Jesus said, “If your leaders say to you, ‘Look, the (Lord’s) kingdom is in the sky,’ then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Lord’s) kingdom is within you and it is outside you.
        When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are all children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty.”

        1. No one asked and no one cared about what your gospel said. its pretty condesecending you picked a line from a ambiguous book to seemingly put down a simple Islamic prayer for expressing condolensces from a commentator. Indeed you are in poverty.

          1. The Gospel of Thomas is an early “Gnostic” text which the Roman Catholic and St. James bibles have historically excluded from their official canon. St. Thomas’ Gospel DOES NOT preach that Jesus Christ is “Son of God” died on the cross to redeem all the sins of all mankind for all time, according to the doctrines of Evangelical Holy-Trinity Christianity.

            Here, the gospel message of Jesus is “Gnostic” in the sense that it emphasises that salvation (a) is attained through self-knowledge and soul-purification and (b) is to acknowledge and to love the Creator God Most Merciful.

            I think “traditional” Malay Muslims understand that fundamentally, the religious path consists of the following aims: (i) terutama sekali dalam agama ialah untuk kenal Allah” [awwaluddin makrifatullah] (ii) “barangsiapa kenal diri-nya, maka kenal ia akan Tuhan-nya” [man arafa nafsahu fa qad arafa rabbahu] (iii) dunya yang nyata ada hakikatnya di sebalik tabir alam maya.

            It is to know that God the Most Merciful and Almighty is everything and that we are nothing (if not poor).

            “Verily have we come from Him, and by Him do we exist, and to Him thus is our return.”

            1. Yes, you’ve made a valid respond to Rasputino’s comment. The term “Nasrani” (i.e: the Helper) for the Christians is not used for no reason. And the “Sabians” too.

  3. The Pakatan goons from the DAP have been known to wish death and ill on many Malay leaders despite their sham of love and sincerity, especially on the guy they call Mamak Kutty.

    They are absolutely filled with hate and contempt even towards PAS because of its Malay and Muslim character, even they have belittle PKR as UMNO which they routinely called evil, hence they even considered PKR and PAS, their partners as inferior to be cursed even after death.

  4. At least TMI responded to criticism and changed the heading as opposed to Utusan. Even after losing a few law suits and paid few hundreds of thousand in damages together with a few cases pending adjudication, Utusan remains the same.

    I have not heard of TMI being sued or tendered apologies. Even if any, the number of cases and quantum of damages are less than Utusan.

      1. ‘I have not heard of TMI being sued or tendered apologies’

        LOL, typical of a Dapster, Perodua maybe you should listen and read more…

    1. The dirty scumbags.

      They deliberately, unconscionably inflict damage on a person’s reputation, then mudah-mudah cakap, “oh maaf ya”.

      One of the recent apologies was to Mukhriz for the hit below the belt they dealt him at the 11th hour of the recent Umno election.

      1. re: They deliberately, unconscionably inflict damage on a person’s reputation, then mudah-mudah cakap, “oh maaf ya”.

        Usually, the apology is made as per the conditions stated in the lawyer letter sent by the aggrieved party. If TMI made the apology and correction as required and to the satisfaction of the aggrieved party, the issue will end there.

        Otherwise, the aggrieved party can always pursue legal action like what happened to Utusan. Alternatively, this process can be skipped and straight resort to legal action.

        So, there is no issue of “…….. mudah-mudah cakap, “oh maaf ya”.” if both parties agreed to settle amicably.

        1. If you ever get the chance to meet up Mukhriz, you should ask him whether he feels amicable about the settlement, or for that matter whether the NST editors feel amicable the last time they retracted (an incident which had the Umno bloggers saying that the paper’s got no cajones.)

          1. re: ………………. you should ask him whether he feels amicable about the settlement,

            If Mukhriz was really uncomfortable, why accept the apology at the first place? Go ahead and sue TMI back then. Nobody compelled Mukhriz to accept the apology. Moreover, in this type of case the manner the apology is made is based on the requirement of Mukhriz.

            If Mukhriz really want to pursue legal action now, he may breach the terms and conditions of the settlement agreement. As I said:

            “So, there is no issue of “…….. mudah-mudah cakap, “oh maaf ya”.” if both parties agreed to settle amicably.”

            If you accept the apology, the issue stops there.

            1. Re. If Mukhriz was really uncomfortable, why accept the apology at the first place? Go ahead and sue TMI back then.

              It was only the right thing to do at that point time, where creating a positive perception and sending positive vibes to the general public is utmost important. Timing and response time are crucial in managing crisis and damage control strategy; wrt Muhkriz’s situation, “a gentlemen persona” will work best most of the time. Furthermore, Muhkriz has that clean image and persona that he needs to maintain. Should Mukhriz is to sue at that point of time, the issue wouldn’t be solved there and then, plus no positive perception nor positive vibes could be generated out of it. In fact it will even damage his image further i.e. “Apalah orang dah minta maaf pun tak mahu terima”, that’s kind of negative perception that he has to shoulder further.

              Given any other time, I don’t think Mukhriz would choose the same path.
              __________________________________________________
              Here is one recent example of crisis management and damage control strategy:

              1. Producer Erma Fatimah lost in court and was order to pay Actress Rebecca Nur Islam the sum of RM11,000 plus;

              2. Erma Fatimah decided to pay Rebecca RM11,000 plus in 5 sen coins together with an Al Quran;

              3. Rebecca objected to the mode of payment, since legal tender for 5 sen coin is in total of RM20 only;

              4. Being a Sore Loser, Erma Fatimah then decided to pay in RM1.00 notes;

              5. Rebecca decided not to prolong the issue and accepted the payment in the form of RM1.00 notes and made press statement that she was going to donate the money the Pahang flood victims, leaving Erma Fatimah as EVEN the BIGGEST SORE LOSER.

              Re. Moreover, in this type of case the manner the apology is made is based on the requirement of Mukhriz.

              It is a standard procedure or practice in any defamation case.

              Re. If you accept the apology, the issue stops there.

              Very true, but there is also a need to create awareness about the scumbags MO, so that “Pisang tak berbuah dua kali”.

              Jujurnya TMI. MK, MI dan yang sewaktu dengannya belum bertemu buku dengan ruas yang “sebenarnya”. The time will come and Zahid Hamidi has given a preview to one of MK’s reporters a short while ago.

              1. LOL,

                I am in no position to read what was in Mukhriz’s mind back then simply because I am not a mind reader. You have rightly pointed out: It is a standard procedure or practice in any defamation case.

                No point talking retrospectively. If an apology has been made as per your request and you accepted it, the issue stops here. To retract your acceptance and sue will only embarrass yourself.

                re: Given any other time, I don’t think Mukhriz would choose the same path.

                Again, I am not a mind reader of Mukhriz. Neither am I a fortune teller to know the future. So, I would not comment on things which has yet to happen.

                As far as the tendering of apology by TMI to Mukhriz is concerned, the issue is solved. I assume there is an agreement whereby Mukhriz will not pursue other action if the apology by TMI is made to the satisfaction of Mukhriz.

                1. Let’s just say, I worked closely with some publicist before, thus my given POV.

                  If you remember, during the same period, Karim Raslan was paid to paint Rosy Picture for KJ. We had talked about it in here (not with you though).

                  1. re: Karim Raslan was paid to paint Rosy Picture for KJ.

                    How you know? Unless you have proof, you are merely spreading hearsay.

      2. Re. One of the recent apologies was to Mukhriz for the hit below the belt they dealt him at the 11th hour of the recent UMNO election.

        That is a standard scumbags MO i.e. to create the negative perception at the 11th. hour and then apologize if needed, otherwise just leave it at that. Meantime, the damage has been done and imprinted for good in the mind of the target group, they will only remember the bad and the ugly but never the good.
