The authors above, whose works Francis Yeoh cites as most inspirational and profound, are ALL (!!) evangelistas.

We can see that the Tan Sri YTL scion is a very committed evangelical Christian.

The evangelistas in Malaysia are a rich, powerful and influential group.

Surname pun dua-dua “Yeoh”.

    1. DAP gave Zairil a seat that had 74 percent Chinese voters to contest.

If DaddyDearest wants to her in, they can give her a super safe seat.

The candidate selection committee comprises Kit Siang, Guan Eng, Tan Kok Wai (interim DAP chairman) and the late Karpal Singh. Very senang to kowtim.

    2. Almost didn’t recognize her without the selendang, more demure and ayu with it on.

  1. I want yo ask This guy, is to be thankful or bersyukur.. are values that Islam and also Christians preach? ..now you get Pangkor Island, Sentul, Perak Hanjoong Paka.. makes millions and forays in Wessex and Spore.. which is frist overseas or Malaysa.. YTL plse tell me

  2. Hmph. .. YTL. . Ever notice that just about everything they do is all style and no substance? (Except for the ERL, now that’s a good train service but getting shabby already)

Shook, their restaurant in Starhill; looks so posh until you sit down and realise that it’s those cheap plastic chairs covered in fancy fabric.

Their condos, cracks appearing within 2 years of completion.

    All smoke and mirrors.

btw, that photo caption is a laugh. How broad can your perspective be if you only read Christian books? That’s just reaffirming what you believe, not challenging your comfort zone.

    1. The J-Star story was a pathetic puff piece but then again should we expect any better from the J.

Read Stephen Ng pls. He’s an evangelista. They push their way to the front of everywhere.

    2. Damn right, how broad can your perspective be if from birth you are only told to read one holy book and the state decides in advance what you can and cannot believe. I guess it’s oklah to trade your freedom and your soul in exchange for certain special positions or contracts in TSYTL’s case. Not too shabby.

  3. If I’m Francis Yeoh, I’ll STFU and quietly continue to make big moolah, why bother to say such anything.

Speaking of Christianity, I’m reminded recently there’s a woman in China who was beaten to death in McDonald Shangdong province by some crazy members of an offshoot Christian cult who called themselves Eastern Lightning (also known as Church of Almighty God) for refusing to give her phone number. She was brutally killed in front of dozen of eye witnesses who did nothing. This cult, not kidding you, believe that Jesus Christ was reincarnated as a woman named Deng from Henan province, whoa.

    1. re: “She was brutally killed in front of dozen of eye witnesses who did nothing.”

Like the vagrant’s dog whose skull was smashed with shovel.

re: ” This cult, not kidding you, believe that Jesus Christ was reincarnated as a woman named Deng from Henan province, whoa.”

      Harga saham Hannah naik ni.

      1. Chinese should be ashamed of themselves. This is China century? China will conquer world’s economy? Forget about it.

        1. Damn right there, definitely the nusantara century. Singapura’s leading the way just like the good old Parameswara days.

          1. Singapura’s leading the way? I guess you’re another Singapura fan boy out there. They have no space to grow anymore and will continue to reclaim lands to the dismay of the grand old man.

          2. Re. the good old Parameswara days

Parameswara was a Hindu, Yes, but then he embraced Islam. He is not an Indian and Non-Brahmin Tamil to be exact. Both are two different ethnicity altogether, where the earlier is the Royal while the later is the untouchable.

        1. There is a marked difference between the two cases:

          (1) A neighbour intervened in the case of the Seri Kembangan dog, before the third arrow was shot. It was rescued and sent to the vet (but sadly did not survive.) The assault happened at night in a housing area and there didn’t appear to be any onlookers except perhaps the perpetrator’s own family members.

          (2) The China vagrant’s dog was beaten with a shovel in broad daylight in a public place in front of a smiling crowd who looked on with amusement. Nobody stepped in to stop the brutality and the dog died then and there with its skull smashed.

There is something wrong with the Chinese who enjoyed the gory spectacle with such glee.

          1. Perhaps the difference between the two sets of responses has to do on the one hand with the mass psychology of “politically correct behavior” which communists have been acculturated to all their lives, and on the other hand, our local Malaysian culture which endorses individuals who “have a heart” in the interactions of their social lives?

              1. ‘Berhati perut’

                Betul la tu.

Tak berhati perut means to show that the man is ‘inhuman’ or acting rather inhumane, thus ‘tak dak hati dan tak dak perut’, make one questions him being, orang ke hantu?

                1. I suppose a more formal word is “berperikemanusiaan”.

“Tak berhati perut” has a “tidak”. Is there just a casual/conversational way of saying this?

                  1. More so used informally, now. But can be made formal, there is nothing wrong with that, but it has a stronger flavour compared to ‘tidak berperikemanusiaan’.

I can’t speak for all, but orang utara would say tak berhati perut rather the latter.

                    1. Agree “berperikemanusiaan” is written BM.

But “tak berhati perut” means inhumane.

Humane = ? Rather than buang the “tidak” is there another word? It’s Sat. afternoon and my brain also functioning at Sat. afternoon pace.

                    2. “Tidak Berhati Perut” adalah simpulan bahasa kepada “tidak berperikemanusiaan”.

                    3. I know.

But it seems kekok to drop the “tak”. Some words go better with a negative prefix, like “tak aci”.

                      “Berperikemanusiaan” sounds okay.

“Ada hati perut”? I’m asking is there any other word to say this?

                    4. “Ada hati perut” is like “berkasih sayang”? or “bersilatur rahim” perhaps.

                    5. I don’t think “beradab” is the word we want in context.

The discussion thread started with why a Malaysian was willing to step in and prevent the shooter from releasing his third arrow at the dog whereas the Chinese crowd just watched the dog being beaten to death.

The China Chinese tak berhati perut. So how do we say the opposite of this?

  4. Is the Bible words of God? The answer u usually get is ” Which Bible ?” So Francis Yeoh, which Bible r u reading? Seriously , ask yourself r they words of your God ? The writer or the translater ?

  5. RE: “The authors above, whose works Francis Yeoh cites as most inspirational and profound, are ALL evangelistas. We can see that the Tan Sri YTL scion is a very committed evangelical Christian. The evangelistas in Malaysia are a rich, powerful and influential group.”

The Christian authors mentioned are prolific promulgators of the trinitarian evangelism of Paul of Tarsus, who preached the soul’s salvation by mere belief in the salvific power of Jesus’ death on the cross. Saul, the persecutor of Christians converted to Christianity some 20 years after Jesus’ passing.

Saul changed his name to Paul but innovated his own convictions about the message of Jesus (or Yahshua) and was therefore at odds with the direct disciples of Jesus of the Jerusalem Church led by his brother James, who preached a saving gospel of submission to God on High, self-effacement and righteous relationships with humanity.

from The Epistle of James (the brother of Jesus):

“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness” – and he was called a friend of God. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way was not also (the faith of) Rahab the prostitute justified by her works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

    1. In tasawwuf we call this IKHLAS or Sincerity; ie. to express with your tongue what your heart believes and also to act accordingly.

Therefore, we concur with Apostle James as concerns the human covenant of faith and works for the One True God.

As for the Pauline Christianity, how can a person believe that it would be purified by the act of some other holy person spilling his blood to redeem all men for all times, especially if the person was has a bad character, filled with envy and greed, arrogance and selfish ways?

  6. Ada Apek, nak contract takut nak bribe husbands approach the wives instead! Siapa tuuuuuuuuuu?

    1. Garrett. You are the greatest. Here is one specially for you.

A Tan Sri like the guy in question and with his own RM2 church told me as he took me round to view his Malls. ‘This lousy Mall is for my listed company but the other beautiful Mall is for my wife !’

It is crooked but it is true ! If there is no money, there would not be THIS TYPE OF RM 2 CHRISTIANS !

  7. What is so ironic is that when the person in question is a Chinese, he is almost never labelled a crony, when the company in question is a Chinese controlled company, no noise from the opposition.

Now think about this. If the person is a Malay, or if the company in question is controlled by a Malay, you almost always immediately hear labels like Malay crony, Malay crooks.

    1. TIJ,

The real issue is not the cronies (irrespective of race) that received government largesse. If a government is incorruptible, there will be no crony at all. Cronies will always exist and take opportunity to get benefits. The burden is on the government to be free from undue influences. Perhaps you should train your gun at the government and not the cronies.

    2. The International Jew. With due respect, only the Chinese, Malaysian Chinese behave in this funny manner because they only look Chinese but inside HOLLOW AND DE-TRIBALISED. This change in them over the past 25 – 30 years enucleated them into something which made their political leaderships very weak and without purpose !

  8. Ms H. I have observed the religious behaviour of certain Chinese for a life time. It has nothing to do with anything but MONEY MONEY MONEY. From convicted felons to swallows, ducks, tycoons, parliamentary candidates dying with cancer etc. etc.

    1. The link is formalised and conferred religious “respectability” through the Gospel of Prosperity that the mega churches of the evangelistas have successfully mass marketed.

      1. MS H. YOU ARE GREAT LIKE ALL OF US YOU KEEP YOUR SENSES AND BUILD ON YOUR STRONG POINTS !

    1. YTL contoh terbaik APA LAGI CINA MAHU?

STFU YTL, lu ingat kalau lu tak crony, lu boleh dapat itu bukit kapur dekat Ipoh ka?

Lu ingat otak kena pandai macam saintis roket ka, mau process itu batu kapur?

      Bolok!

  9. “We can see that the Tan Sri YTL scion is a very committed evangelical Christian.

The evangelistas in Malaysia are a rich, powerful and influential group.

    Surname pun dua-dua “Yeoh”

The current controversy with Francis Yeoh is crony capitalism. Yet you take this opportunity to ‘whack’ Hannah Yeoh because of the similarity in surname. What is your intention?

    1. Hahaha, to point out the similarity in surname lah. And also the similarity in cronyism.

HY’s personal assistant Rajiv Rishyakan was given the Bukit Gasing DUN seat to contest and other HY assistant Ken Chia is appointed MPSJ councilar while MPSJ councillor Ng Sze Han was given the Kinrara DUN seat to contest. Both Rajiv and Ng won their seats in GE13.

As for the capitalism, I’m sure the Prada will expand to bigger things.

      1. Of course you promote people you know and can work with. Takkan nak appoint strangers? Look at DSNTR’s cabinet.

        1. HY’s personal assistant Rajiv Rishyakan was given the Bukit Gasing DUN seat to contest.

How different is this from the nepotism/cronyism of giving Ramkarpal the Bukit Gelugor seat to contest?

          1. Don’t think you can compare crony capitalism with political cronyism. For political positions like Menteri, MP and ADUN a person would need to undergo ‘preliminary process’ in order to get such positions.

Eg. DAP may put Ram Karpal as candidate. Ram needs to win the election first before taking oath as MP. Same as Cabinet ministers. A person may be an MP, but still he has to compete with other MPs for the limited position in cabinet. This is different than crony capitalism.

Eg. YTL getting the project Track 4A on a direct nego basis. The government already decided to award the project to YTL. No open tender is called. No need to compete. YTL is partnering with people that has no experience in power generation.

            1. re: “a person would need to undergo ‘preliminary process’ in order to get such positions. / DAP may put Ram Karpal as candidate. Ram needs to win the election first”

If the DAP had put a tunggul kayu otak udang in Bukit Gelugor that day, the Dapsters would still have pangkah Roket.

re: “YTL is partnering with people that has no experience in power generation”

Like Dyana lah. No experience in anything except looking good in selfies.

              1. Looking at other blogs and news website on the issue of YTL, the discussions are focused on crony capitalism of YTL. Only you have the ‘creativity’ to link the surname of Yeoh to whack Hannah Yeoh. You have missed the actual issue, i.e. crony capitalism. Why the ill-feeling towards Hannah and DAP? Did they harm you directly?

                1. re: “Looking at other blogs and news website on the issue of YTL, the discussions are focused on crony capitalism of YTL. Only you have the ‘creativity’ to link the surname of Yeoh to whack Hannah Yeoh.”

Why should I follow other blogs when I don’t follow the other Chinese who are staunch DAP supporters? How many non-Indians do you see writing about Hindraf and marginalized Indians? Do you think I have a herd mentality?

re: “Why the ill-feeling towards Hannah and DAP? Did they harm you directly?”

Isma said that the DAP is a “cancer” that we must rid Malaysia of. Practically all the pro-establishment Malay bloggers in Penang are critical of Lim Guan Eng. Urm, why their ill-feeling towards LGE and DAP? Did they harm Isma and the Malay bloggers directly?

  10. Helen, care to share any proof to show Hannah’s rejected Aussie PR application. Need to silent the hypocrites.

  11. Ms H. Is this the multi multi billionaire who used his guaranteed 22% return on his monopoly which is hard-earned Rakyat money to subsidize a power plant in cash-strapped Singapore at a lower tariff ? Is the lower tariff subsidized by the hard-earned Rakyat money ?
Has he breached the terms of his lush 22% guaranteed Agreement with the Federal Government ? Can he use this lush Rakyat subsidized profits to help struggling Government business in Singapore, Australia and the United Kingdom ? Is this fair to us the hard working Rakyat ?

    1. ‘ Is this fair to us the hard working Rakyat ?’

Some more he wants to talk COCK!!!

ED tell us more of these ingrates, please??

      1. islam lst. Saudara. There is another multi multi billionaire who was a little factory assistant in Johor Baru – Korean soldier and Taiwanese parentage. He made his billions in KL and boasted to the PAP elite, Dr Goh Keng Swee at the Singapore Island Golf Club (in front of my relative) that he had the ear of the good and the great in KL.

With his ill-gottened profits, he bought Stradivarius violins at US$ 4 million a piece. He has 4-6 of them He only lend to the Singapore Philharmonic but not to the KL Philharmonic. Like Singaporeans of his ilk, he has a home (not a house) in Subang Jaya. On the one hand, he took from his benefactor and on the other he betrayed him.

Vide New Straits Times Streets Central Supp. Page 8. March 8 2014. A beautiful of reporting. All the Singaporean spies are encapsulated there. Acheh !

        1. ‘Like Singaporeans of his ilk, he has a home (not a house) in Subang Jaya.’

Claustrophobic isn’t it, Temasek being so small and so full of themselves!

    1. islam 1st. Great. How much is ENOUGH FOR THESE MULTI MULTI BILLIONAIRES who even donated big big to the King’s College, London. They should look at themselves in the MIRROR ! They forgot that the MONEY IS RAKYAT’S HARD-EARNED MONEY through sweat and toil and tears !

    2. re: Apa lagi Cina YTL mahu?

Why ask this question? Of course YTL wants everything. From power generation, properties, telecommunication, construction, train service, cement, shopping malls etc. The list is endless.

      You should ask:

Apa lagi BN/UMNO nak bagi pada YTL?

Issue is with the giver, not so much on the receiver.

      1. Sadly you don’t understand the Malays.

When I asked this ‘Apa lagi Cina YTL mahu?’, I already got this ‘Apa lagi BN/UMNO nak bagi pada YTL?’ answered.

Haven’t you been following the YTL news lately?

        1. re: When I asked this ‘Apa lagi Cina YTL mahu?’, I already got this ‘Apa lagi BN/UMNO nak bagi pada YTL?’ answered.

          Care to explain?

    3. islam1st. saudara.

In order that these ungrateful multi multi billionaires do not take advantage of the Rakyat’s hard-earned money through toil, sweat and tears, the Federal Government should take back all these MONOPOLIES as quickly as possible. IT IS ABSURD FOR OUR BELOVED MALAYSIA TO SUBSIDISE A DEVELOPED COUNTRY LIKE SINGAPORE, AUSTRALIA AND UNITED KINGDOM USING THE RAKYAT’S MONEY. It is better to subsidise PROTON ! CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME !
