StarOnlineBattle

Sarang evangeliSTAR

.
Sementara itu, portal-portal pro-Kristian turut menyerang peribadi Ridhuan, contohnya ‘Christians shouldn’t be allowed to build mega churches, says Ridhuan’ (The Malaysian Insider).

Malahan serangan oleh The J-Star Nest of Evangelistas bertalu-talu:

  • 16 Jun 2014: Seorang kolumnis J-Star Dr Thiru Jr menulis tentang Piala Dunia Bolasepak berkata, “Best of all, it is the time to forget all the evils of the world, give comedians like Ibrahim Ali, Ridhuan Tee and Bung Mukhtar a miss …”
  • 13 Jun 2014: Kolumnis Jerusubang J-Star Daphne Iking menulis “Some of the things said by the likes of people such as Ibrahim Ali and Ridhuan Tee, really get to me”
  • 1 Jun 2014: Pengasas Sisters in Islam Zainah Anwar, juga seorang kolumnis J-Star, menulis, “…the continuing bigotry of the likes of Abdullah Zaik from Isma and his buddy Ridhuan Tee Abdullah – that they might be suffering from “high neuroticism” leading to dangerous response to perceived threats and what they need to do is to learn how to be Malaysian. What will it take for these men to realise that manufacturing fears and threats and spewing hate language against other races and religions don’t win votes?”
  •  28 Mei 2014: Seorang kolumnis J-Star bernama Yu Ji menulis, “Ridhuan is also a Chinese-Muslim [who] … has earned the extremist label for labelling entire groups of people as ‘ultra kiasu’ and espousing views that border on the ridiculous and paranoid”.
  • 18 Mei 2014: CEO evangeliSTAR Wong Chun Wai menulis: “the infamous controversial lecturer Ridhuan Tee Abdullah … seems to suffer from an identity crisis problem. No matter how much he tries, the reality is that one cannot change one’s ethnicity. […] He doesn’t need to … prove that he is more Malay and more Muslim than others. There is no need for him to make damaging, presumptuous and racist remarks.”

Kata MCA:

“… he has gone overboard in his arguments that Christians do not deserve big churches because they only constitute 10% of the population, and that Buddhists who account for 20% of Malaysia’s population deserve bigger temples”

“Being well-known for his racist, illogical way of thinking, Ridhuan is normally seen trying to pit the Malays against the Chinese, but … he has now shifted his attention to trying to incite hatred between Christians and Buddhists instead.”

“…Ridhuan should also be very aware that his statement is tantamount to sedition and I urge him to be more careful the next time he has the urge to write something”.

Tak kisahlah apa pendapat Ridhuan tentang saiz mega churches tetapi hakikatnya evangelisme Kristian sedang berkembang dengan teramat pesat berbanding agama Buddha yang semakin menyusut pegangannya di kalangan orang Cina. Baca, Christians are 18.3% in S’pore, Buddhist numbers fell by 9.2%

Kenapa MCA begitu keberatan membela nasib kaum Buddhist?

Adakah MCA turut mengikut jejak langkah DAP?

  1. Ha ha rahsia sudah bocor tahap 4 betul the right to worship and the right to build place of worship without restriction correct correct because it’s already enshrined in the constitution tetapi awak meyelam sambil minum air lombong/holy water made in…M/Helen minta tolong habiskan ayat ini

  2. 1. Calvary church cost RM200 mil to build- grand appearance from the picture, it actually looks like a space ship, maybe the architect envisioned it so. The website also looks very sleek and pro. Everything also feels nice, grand, good, all the positive aura.

    2. Buddhism- ah, too deep or maybe too simple. Like Leonardo da Vinci’s words- “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. Too many people addicted to materialism, too much temptation to worldly desires, hence Buddhism no longer has its relevance in today”s society.

    3. Bhutan- my superior just travelled to that country for a spiritual awakening- he showed me some pictures taken, a very beautiful country indeed!

    1. re: “hence Buddhism no longer has its relevance in today’s society”

The Pew research had median age. Buddhists are the oldest. Christians and Muslim younger. Not a faith for the funky but for old fogies.

      1. re: Kenapa MCA begitu keberatan membela nasib kaum Buddhist?

      2. Incoherent babbling earlier from me due to lack of sleep. Despite all this, more Westerners are embracing Buddhism- Richard Gere , Bill Clinton, etc. Einstein also have a famous quote on Buddhism immortalized all over the Internet.

    2. Why nowadays we have ‘buddhist extremist’ which is becoming hostile day by day towards Muslim? We have long before happening in Thailand, then recently in Myanmar and now currently in Sri Lanka. And the muslim there are not pendatang as they are the origin in the lands of the countries.

    3. I hope these church leaders take sometime off their busy schedule of reviewing building plans to read the Bible.

“Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” – Genesis 11:4

“So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel[c]—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.” – Genesis 11:8-9

      http://christianity.about.com/od/biblestorysummaries/p/towerofbabel.htm

“To build, the people used brick instead of stone and tar instead of mortar. They used “man-made” materials, instead of more durable “God-made” materials. The people were building a monument to themselves, to call attention to their own abilities and achievements, instead of giving glory to God.”

Hmmm – “call attention to their own abilities and achievements” – isn’t this the mantra (sorry to use the term) of the evangelistas and DAP Christian leaders – including one who is an expert in MH370.

  3. Wiki kata @2010, 10% of Malaysians are Christians whereby majority are from East Malaysia.. Katala majority tu 51% so yg kat Semenanjung ade lebih kurang;

    30mx10%=3m; 3mx49%=1.47m.
    Out of this say Catholics/Evangelistas are 50:50 = 735K

Alamak! Betoi ke estimate kasar saya ni cik Helen? Compared to over 18.3m Muslims….

issshhhh ! Now I understand why the desperation to change the name of their god to ALLAH… asyik tak kesudahan kalut duk pelekeh tokoh2 perjuangan Islam, menghina ajaran Islam dan cuba mempelaga kami kaum Bumiputra…. ish ish ish karut karut!

  4. I would think that Japan is a Buddhist-majority country, which has co-existent Buddhist-Shinto population. Much like Chinese community traditionally has co-existent Buddhist-Taoist believers.
Similarly, Taiwan would be classified as Buddhist-majority country.

In fact, a lot of ancient Buddhist temples in India, Nepal, Bhutan and Afghanistan used to be restored and maintained with support from Japan & Taiwan governmental cultural and foreign-affairs bodies.

    1. It could be that Pew separated Shintoism and Buddhism, and Shinto being the traditional religion of Japan comes first. See, http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Religion/Religions

As for Taiwan, Taoism/folk religions comes first, see http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Religion/Major-religion%28s%29

Secondly, it seems that Taiwan is somewhat like communist China in its irreligion, i.e. In 2014, less than half (only 45%) of the Taiwanese population considered religion important whereas 54% of the Taiwanese population considered religion unimportant.

      See, http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Religion/Secularism-and-atheism/Population-considering-religion-important

      1. Shinto at a glance

Pagoda-style roofs and stone lanterns of Tosho Gu shrine in Nikko, Japan

The essence of Shinto is the Japanese devotion to invisible spiritual beings and powers called kami, to shrines, and to various rituals.

Shinto is not a way of explaining the world. What matters are rituals that enable human beings to communicate with kami.

Kami are not God or gods. They are spirits that are concerned with human beings – they appreciate our interest in them and want us to be happy – and if they are treated properly they will intervene in our lives to bring benefits like health, business success, and good exam results.

Shinto is a very local religion, in which devotees are likely to be concerned with their local shrine rather than the religion as a whole. Many Japanese will have a tiny shrine-altar in their homes.

However, it is also an unofficial national religion with shrines that draw visitors from across the country. Because ritual rather than belief is at the heart of Shinto, Japanese people don’t usually think of Shinto specifically as a religion – it’s simply an aspect of Japanese life. This has enabled Shinto to coexist happily with Buddhism for centuries.

  5. I think the evangelist envisioned the convention center as Noah Ark probably.

    1. ‘Kuman’ @ 2014/06/18 at 8:21 am reckons the same. Great minds think alike, huh?

  6. Calvary Church macam Noah Ark moden je. Ada message tersembunyi kut. China bukan buddist ke or Toa is it?

    1. re: “Calvary Church macam Noah Ark moden je.

      Bingo!! :) :) :)

Methinks you might be on to something there.

  7. Helen.

      1. hahahaha….helen…helen.
semua tau makanan ‘ruji’ tu kan?

tapi…bukankah ajaran kristian juga men’haram’kan makanan ruji berkenaan…jugak ‘alkohol’..?

          Leviticus Chapter 11

7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he [is] unclean to you.

8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they [are] unclean to you.

          Galatians 5:21

Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Dan ini bible verse mengenai gila wang.
          1 Timothy 3:3 ESV / 4 helpful votes

Not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.

Tengok orang Tao-Buddha. Kalau kata Tao pun, Tao Te Ching mereka tak baca dan tak hayati. Kalau kepercayaan Buddha, amalan pun tak menyeluruh. Tengok bagaimana penganut Buddha Tibet, amalan dilakukan dengan sempurna.

Bila orang Cina masuk Kristian pula, amalan Kristian suka hati diamalkan. Tithes diwajibkan walaupun digalakkan dalam kitab. (Suka hati pastor). Amalan dibuat suka-suka. (Orang Cina tua-tua tak suka Kristian lama seperti Katholik pasal semua amalan lama kena buang. Kahwin Katolik kena convert. Tapi Kristian baru, buat suka-suka.)

Islam is very straight forward. Either yes or no. Amalan yang wajib tak mampu dilaksanakan oleh orang Cina tempatan kerana mereka biasa dengan kepercayaan sudah ubah-ubah suka-suka. Saya teringat seorang tua di kedai kopi kata masuk Kristian senang. Tak suka boleh cabut, Buddha pun sama, tak suka boleh cabut. Tapi Islam masuk tak boleh cabut.

Itulah masalah orang Cina. Tak boleh SETIA pada satu kepercayaan. Tak suka demi agama itu, mereka UBAH.

Pastor pula tahu tingkah laku orang Cina. Masuk Kristian kerana syiok bukan kerana kuat ibadah. Ok-lah, korek duit habis-habis dari mereka. Asalkan mereka syiok baguslan.

Ridzuan Tee is really observant. He is speaking the truth. But the truth HURTS. Orang Cina ultra-kiasu.

      1. Re Pastor pula tahu tingkah laku orang Cina. Masuk Kristian kerana syiok bukan kerana kuat ibadah. Ok-lah, korek duit habis-habis dari mereka. Asalkan mereka syiok baguslan.

Tak baik cakap macam ni. Orang Cina ultra kiasu. Tak boleh terima kritikan macam ni.

Tapi ada satu cadangan. Boleh guna pakai kaedah pastor kebas duit mereka. Mereka tak akan perasan pon. Dah terlalu syok.

        1. Jangan lah turunkan pangkat dia jadi “Dapster Hannah”. Kan dia tu Mama Dapster, ori.

    3. “Mereka ini menolak Islam kerana Islam mempunyai banyak amalan yang wajib dilakukan setiap hari,..”

That also have to do with how the Chinese are being brought up. Malays are born Muslims and grow up as Muslims. Two different sets of environments, cultures, values and world views, hence it’s not easy for either one to embrace the opposite side. Not able to eat pork is probably just a minor deterrent (i.e. not able to sit down together to have a reunion dinner together with parents during CNY) but things like not being able to participate in Chinese funeral rituals of close family members like parents is a big hindrance.

  8. What is wrong in building a huge church? As long as you have the necessary permits/approvals and the funding, anyone can do the same. It is not that the church is built using taxpayers money.

    1. nothing wrong with the huge church. it’s just the people behind it that although are thriving very well, ( if not then there would be no big church right?) they always whine and complain that they are being persecuted, oppressed, etc..etc.. but sober people can see their game. they are playing the victim and accusing other people of being the villain.

    2. What is wrong in building a huge church? NOTHING wrong.

But you have to be big in charity. What charity has the modern churches done lately.

      Orphans – hmmm Muslim charities
      MH370 counselling – Buddhist charities
Schools, hospitals – Catholic (and old churches like Methodist)

New churches – hmm nothing. Except collecting money. – making sexy music videos ala Pastor Sun Ho.

      Revelation 2:1–7

      To the Church in Ephesus

2 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of ehim who holds the seven stars in his right hand, fwho walks among the seven golden lampstands.

2 g“ ‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but hhave tested those iwho call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. 3 I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up jfor my name’s sake, and you khave not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned lthe love you had at first. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do mthe works you did at first. If not, nI will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. 6 Yet this you have: you hate the works of othe Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 pHe who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. qTo the one who conquers I will grant to eat of rthe tree of life, which is in sthe paradise of God.’

  9. I would rather see Buddhism in smaller numbers here but being practised correctly; not “conning” young people to join with fancy concerts and social gatherings. That’s what malls should do, not religion.

As the Buddha said about the Dharma: an 8 year old child can understand it easily but an 80 year old man finds it hard to practise. (Ie if you are too caught up in material and sensual pursuits, then Buddhism will always seem too hard or irrelevant to you)

As for Ah Tee, at first glance his article does seem to be dragging the Buddhists into the fray, which at one level is not right. But on another level, this is a national issue and if you want to give us 20% , can also! Haha

Helen, you’re right, MCA has lost the plot.

  10. HELEN , KEEP IT UP , TRULY MALAYSIAN , AS LONG AS YOU’RE RIGHT YOU WITH THEM

BUT IF U’RE WRONG , U ”HANTAM” THEM NO MATTER WHO U ARE,

Not entirely pendiam. If you have a Facebook account or something similar, as my Chinese colleague tells me, you will have noticed that these people are just as vocal as the Kristian evangelista. It is just that these people and their vocal antics are not publicized by the Malay and English media both mainstream and alternative. In fact, to borrow a phrase from Hannah Yeoh, and this is ironic, these so called pendiam as you described them, their kelantangan borders on the crude, hence they are “low class” and not worth any mentioning. But they exist.

The parents themselves are materialistic. They failed to properly educate the kids. The typical Chinese kid’s daily life starts in the morning with the parents giving him/her pocket money, depending on the family’s financial standing. Those with less money typically give RM10 while rich ones are given RM50. The kids spend the money on transportation, food, drinks, fun. Then they come back home, the parents are still busy at work, so they hang out with friends, those with electronic gadgets play games. From the perspective of spirituality, these kids are empty cups. In other words, they know nothing other than materialism.

After 12 years of basic education, those who didn’t make it to college/university, they go straight to work. At work, they meet some evangelista, gets invited to a church, then after a couple of times participating church activities, embraced the faith. Why so easy ? Because “empty” people are prone to such “spiritualism” masked as salvation. They think they found a calling so you get what I mean.

For those who get to further their education at college/university level, the story is just about the same. The evangelistas pay them a visit at their hostels, residential colleges, door to door, telling them that they bear “good news” and would like these kids to hear them out, participate in church activities. Being young, they are prone to such freshness and since most of these kids are themselves impressionable, they are easy prey. The story then follows a familiar line, go to church then after a few weeks or so, they embraced the faith..

What is happening to the Chinese community, their younger people in particular, is a tragedy of their community. This tragedy could have been avoided if the parents were not too materialistic and Chinese community guilds and associations been more proactive in reaching out to Chinese youths.

Re Kenapa permasalahan masyarakat Buddhist enggan ditangani tetapi sebaliknya pembawa khabar yang ditembak?

Someone has to be the scapegoat. Besides, the truth is not very pleasant. So the easy way out is to shoot and kill the messengers.

Re Kenapa MCA begitu keberatan membela nasib kaum Buddhist?

Infiltration and subversion. The party is now a vessel for the evangelistas. You yourself should know better than anyone else. Just look at the MCA people. Nowadays they all sound the same as the DAP evangelistas. With CSL out of the picture, the takeover is complete. MCA is now merely a subsidiary of the DAP, the DAP on the other hand is a subsidiary of the evangelistas.

Adakah MCA turut mengikut jejak langkah DAP?

Dah masuk DAP dah. Kamu masih tak perasan kah ?

    1. re: “these so called pendiam as you described them, their kelantangan borders on the crude, hence they are ‘low class’ ”

Buddhists are quiet people. They meditate. They seek self-awareness.

If the “kelantangan borders on the crude”, then those people you mention lack Buddhist spirituality, one of the elements which is mindfulness.

  12. seperti kata hardtalkmalaysia, “calling a spade something else, doesn’t change it into something else,” Calling DAP, MCA doesn’t change it into MCA. actually MCA now is DAP. period.

    sekian.

  13. Most of the Christians already misguided religious. They are supposed to believe in ONE God and not to believe Jesus as the God. And yes, most of the Chinese Christians in Malaysia don’t believe in God, and they call themselves a Christian. Pathetic.

    1. Calvary is the largest church in SEA according to TMI, and it is situated in a Muslims-majority country to boot with. To be frank, I don’t even know the existence of such a big church if I don’t read this blog.

  16. Recall ‘2012’ movie. If flood ever happens, the church will transform itself into a big ship by detaching the building from the ground and setting afloat.

The problem is, it will have nowhere to go because the people inside the building has no destiny. They gathered inside the building only to sing, dance and then cry for nothing.

    1. Most interesting … Is the Calvary Noah’s Ark anchored to the ground or will it rise with the flood waters?

Also note that they’re perched on a hill (Bukit Jalil). Smart fellas.
