  1. The Malays are racists tapi boleh terima the mamaks, I wonder why the ‘hardworking and earning honest living’ Cinas can’t?

    1. There appears to be less animosity from the Dapsters towards the Islam of the Malays compared to the Islam of the mamaks and the Islam of the Chinese converts.

Later today Felixia Yeap akan mengangkat syahadah. Let’s monitor the thermonuclear meltdown.

        1. Felixia/Rania berjinak-jinak with Islam 5 months and she’s converting.

For six years now Puan Speaker’s peminat-peminat Melayu have been waiting for her untuk dicucuri sinar hidayah. How long more must the poor fellas wait?

          1. ‘Umar b. al-Khattab narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) said:
“Deeds are [a result] only of the intentions [of the doer], and an individual is [rewarded] only according to that which he intends. Therefore, whosoever has emigrated for the sake of Allah and His messenger, then his emigration was for Allah and His messenger. Whosoever emigrated for the sake of worldly gain, or a woman [whom he desires] to marry, then his emigration is for the sake of that which [moved him] to emigrate.”
            [narrated by Bukhari and Muslim]

Itulah bodoh tololnya
Ridhuan Tee ni. Jangan haraplah nak jadi PM Malaysia.

          2. Re For six years now Puan Speaker’s peminat-peminat Melayu have been waiting for her untuk dicucuri sinar hidayah. How long more must the poor fellas wait?

If you think this is ever going to happen, then you are badly mistaken. It ain’t gonna happen. Her occupy mosque stunt and all those goody goody outreach to Muslims are strictly political.

Her Malay fans are delusional to say the least. These people are the Uber Malay Liberals I spoke about yesterday. They think religion is a game people can participate in. Well, I tell you, you don’t play with an issue such as converting to/embracing a religion. This is serious stuff.

As for Felixia/Rania, let’s just observe her. For all we know, she could well be sincere or she could well turn out to be another one of those, like you mentioned, a certain female artist who dons the tudung when she was married but after her divorce, she was back to her liberal lifestyle.

Don’t get too exited too soon. People are not what you think they are.

              Tapi sebaik baiknya bersangka baik!

Belum sampai berapa hari jadi menteri Liow Tiong Lai dah tunjuk handal nak menjadi hero.

PM serta menteri-menteri kabinet would have been guilty of dereliction of the most basic responsibility of any government, that is preventing major breakdown of public order. I think Rayer and ZAM should face the music. They should not be given any immunity whatsoever.

      1. re: “seksyen 298 Kanun Keseksaan”

Refers to causing disharmony and wounding religious feelings. The act of insulting with the cow head might fall under the ambit of 298 and 298A of the Penal Code.

But I don’t see how insulting Umno and MCA is criminal.

Furthermore, the Sedition Act covers insult to the monarchs, the Malay special position and (non-Malay) citizenship. Umno and MCA are not protected from insults by the Sedition Act either.

        1. We are condoning and fuelling racial unrest, aren’t we? What can we do as a nation to give a better life, a life of dignity, to our people and how can we live with each other in peace, mutual respect and harmony, if our law(s) cannot provide that?

          1. You may be correct to anticipate a “major breakdown of public order”.

            My observations:

            (1) The Church was immediately defiant of the Federal Court judgment on the Herald ‘Allah’ appeal

            (2) The IGP refused to carry out the court order on the Indian Muslim convert father for child custody to be handed over to the Hindu mother

            (3) Muslim NGOs reject the AG’s decision to not prosecute the Bible Society over the ‘Allah’ Al-Kitab

            (4) JAIS-MAIS refuse to hand over the seized Malay Bibles

            (5) Home Minister does not consider the slap threat against Teresa Kok to have breached any law

            (6) Home Minister sending out wrong messages through his response to the Rayer cow head episode

Cases of thumbing their noses at authority, and the Home Minister himself blurring the lines of authority.

However wrt Tan Sri Zam, I would say that his call – despite the harsh language – falls within the realm of political gambit.

            To address your questions:

            (1) “We are condoning and fuelling racial unrest, aren’t we?”

We’re on a downward spiral. Yet when Ridhuan Tee, Zul Noordin dan mereka-mereka yang sewaktu warn that this racial-religious unrest will soon culminate in a second May 13, the camp that is loudest in denial are the Dapster-evangelistas.

            (2) “What can we do as a nation to give a better life, a life of dignity, to our people and how can we live with each other in peace, mutual respect and harmony, if our law(s) cannot provide that?”

Are we a nation or are just different race, religion groups co-existing uneasily?

The Court of Appeal cited the preservation of public order and Article 3 of the FedCon to say that other religions may be practiced, as long as they do not disrupt “peace and harmony” vis-a-vis Articles 11(4) and 11(5).

Should the evangelistas persist in their insistence on using lafaz ‘Allah’, our peace and harmony will be shattered sooner than you think.

The Christians should obey the law and in Selangor, it is Enactment 1988. If the evangelistas disagree with the enactment that restricts them from using lafaz ‘Allah’, then their legislators in the state assembly should move to repeal the enactment.

That’s what the evangelista Yang Berhormats were elected by their avid supporters to do. Legislators are lawmakers. Pakatan has 44 of them in the 56-seat Selangor Dewan.

            1. Re Are we a nation or are just different race, religion groups co-existing uneasily?

Most of the states in existence today were ex colonies. They are artificially constructed states.

As we are seeing in Iraq and Syria, these states are not viable in the long term. The internal differences are too great that the only solution to long simmering tensions is separation.

Malaysia is also an artificially created state courtesy of British imperialism. The mass importation of Chinese, Indian and other labor into then Malaya was to facilitate divide and rule. Thus the British were able to rule Malaya that long by pitting the Malays and the Other by framing both sides as the Boogeymen.

This is not going to end well for anyone. The Singapore police state got it right by exiting Malaysia in 1965. Only nation states are viable political entities in the longer term, which is why you have countries like Korea and Japan resisting immigration. These 2 are nation states. Singapore is adopting similar policies by bringing in more immigrants from China and other overseas Chinese.

              1. @ Survivor

You seemed to suggest the Malaysia as it is today is no longer viable. How do see Malaysia being divided up – one way or the other?

        They also say “BODOHland”.

They strongly believe that the 47% Malaysians who did not vote Pakatan are very bodoh.

          1. I don’t think “Banglasia”, “Bolehland” and other nicknames are as insulting as “Bodohland”.

It is very tiresome that they keep labelling BN voters as stupid.

They’re such hypocrites. Call people “stupid” then pretend they want to build bridges to stupid people when all they want is the votes so that their Selangor and Penang leaders can be paid as much as the Prime Minister.

  3. When Lim Kit Siang and gang embrace Islam UMNO will go down the drain and PAS will joly molly to the moon. Bila tu, wallahuallam.

    1. re: “When Lim Kit Siang and gang embrace Islam UMNO will go down the drain”

When the Dapster-evangelistas gang “embrace Islam”, then the warnings in the Quran about munafiks will have to be heeded.

  4. MCA dare to criticize the government while incompetently been appointed as MoT minister. Look on KL tunnel collapse issue. While leaving The Star freely to spread hate agenda and no homework done regarding the ministerial post gained out of courtesy, still dare to criticize?

  5. Regarding Felixia, it’s her life to do with whatever she wants.

But I notice that in all this, the one aspect about her is that she loves attention either as a playboy bunny or newly minted (and instantly famous) hijabster.

So whether you’re her fan or hater, it doesn’t matter because the winner is Felixia, not you.

    1. In her line of work – modelling or as product ambassador – the attention i.e. public profile translates directly into income.

Her conversion to Islam will be the ‘biggest’ most attention-grabbing event of this nature in Malaysian history. The interest among the Malay crowd is huge.

        1. Why do the Chinese hate her so much then?

They usually admire smart and resourceful fellow Chinese able to make the most of life’s opportunities.

          1. Haha so naughty la you. ..

If I were to “draw out the intestine” , on a visceral level it is basic racism.

On a more subtle level, conversion to Islam in Malaysia (for a Chinese) is seen as a repudiation of every single aspect of the new convert’s cultural identity. As you know, Han Chinese identity covers culture, language and religion.

Which is why conversion to Christianity doesn’t elicit such existential angst because culture and language remain intact.

            1. Language remains more or less intact but the culture is eroded somewhat.

Like one of the readers mentioned earlier, I saw the Noah story through the Christian frame rather than Nabi Noh of the Quran due to my greater exposure to the former.

The Mandarin-speaking Teresa Kok produced a very “unChinese” CNY video dissing Rosmah Mansor that defies the goodwill spirit of the festive occasion.

            2. Re conversion to Christianity doesn’t elicit such existential angst

              Ah ha ha ha !!!

You forgot to mention that with Christianity, if, after a while, you became bored, you can always get out but with Islam, there’s no exit. Which is why Christianity is so popular with the Chinese.

              1. Felixia Yeap was a Christian. She wrote that she attended church every Sunday for two years.

              2. Yah, also because we know of cases where some reverted back to Buddhism/Taoism, so it’s all good y’all…

      1. Only the English speaking crowd know her. Mention her name to the Chinese educated ones and they will stare you in the face and ask you “who is she ?”.

That goes to show that the English speaking crowd are the ones dictating the narrative. I doubt anyone reading Chinese language newspapers and those doing Chinese social media know she even existed.

Re Her conversion to Islam will be the ‘biggest’ most attention-grabbing event of this nature in Malaysian history. The interest among the Malay crowd is huge.

Which is why her conversion will have only a slight impact, or no impact at all on the Chinese community because they don’t even know her. All the noises are coming only from the Malay and English social media.

        1. Coverage of Hannah Yeoh in the Chinese language papers, plenty lah see,

re: “Only the English speaking crowd know her.”

          They are also bilingual.

re: “That goes to show that the English speaking crowd are the ones dictating the narrative.”

They have the international platform and the foreign media contacts. Also Christianity is a powerful global religion with the biggest, most effective networking in the world.

re: “I doubt anyone reading Chinese language newspapers and those doing Chinese social media know she even existed.”

You can lay your doubts to rest. Although she may not appeal to them as much as she does to the Firsters, nonetheless with the DAP in control of 90 percent of Chinese allegiance, the buzz will be generated for the DAP stars.

            1. I’ve noticed that the Tamil papers tend to be Indian-centric.

And additionally, these papers are interested in India happenings too.

  6. Itulah double standard dalam hiraki Muslim Malaysia. Mamak China kui tak boleh jadi PM. Mamak Keling boleh jadi PM. Bila lagi Mamak Ridhuan Tee, Helen Ang nak sedar diri, jadi barua bansa asing.
