Pakatan menguasai 88 peratus kerusi bandar

PRU13parlimenDiBandar

PRU13parlimenBandarParti

Teresa Kok, Ahli Parlimen Seputeh

Begitulah kerangka sejarah perkembangan tamadun manusia.

BAWAH: “Coma” – lambang parti MCA

coma

Orang Cina sememangnya nekad mahu merampas kuasa politik. Ini kali lah, do or die.

PRU13JohorDUNparti

Sebanyak 43 buah kerusi Parlimen diletakkan mengikut kategori Bandar (urban).

Jawapannya mudah. DAP telah memperolehi kerjasama MCA.

Malah kian hari kian MCA kedengaran senada dengan DAP.

Contohnya hari ini Pemuda MCA (gambar bawah) menghantar memo kepada Jabatan Peguam Negara menuntut supaya presiden Perkasa Ibrahim Ali didakwa.

MCA bantah Perkasa

Dah fed up. Tapi Najib sayang benar pada MCA, parti yg nyawa nyawa ikan ni.

    2) Najib atau UMNO tak payah buang masa pujuk orang Cina. Serahkan pada MCA. Kalau MCA gagal bawa orang Cina sokong BN, apa susah.

Kenapa sekarang Lembah Pantai kini dikuasai PKR? Sebab bila UMNO berkuasa buat tak kisah benarkan rumah mewah bercambah, diberi nama pula nama Mat Salleh.

    4) UMNO masih nak simpan juga pemimpin dibenci Melayu macam Khairi, Nazri Aziz. Apa Khairi buat? Mana dia usaha gigih Pemuda UMNO tambah pengundi Melayu? Tak ada pun.

    5) Najib pula buat Melayu bengang dengan berterusan menyintai orang Cina melebihi Melayu.

    6) UMNO hantar mesej yg ia tak peduli bila difitnah, dihina.

Satu lagi, orang Melayu patut jalankan boikot ke atas The J-Star.

      null

      1. Helen,

Sebab Najib amalkan budaya berperang dengan Melayu.

        “…kami tak akan keluar…”

Bukan setakat Najib saja yg patut ditegur. Asas kekuatan Presiden UMNO ialah Bahagian. Ketua Bahagian kena bagi tahu kat Najib yg mereka tak akan sokong jika UMNO masih amalkan budaya tanggung biawak hidup MCA ni.

Demi survival orang Melayu, wadah baru perlu dicari.

    2. UMNO and its BN partners have the necessary brains to appreciate, analyse and propose the remedial steps in political scenarios to win elections. It is however obvious that remedies are not forthcomig. A big WHY ?

BN is beset with the “sinking ship” syndrome. There are too many holes to plug. The ship is sure to sink. Despare !! So everybody is taking steps to save himself or herself. Grab whatever valuable items one can for the future.

      1. re: “UMNO and its BN partners have the necessary brains to appreciate, analyse …”

Yup. That could be why Khairy took on board a Dapster press secretary. As for the MCA folks who have appreciated and analysed, they’ve already crossed over to the other side. That’s why the Chinese tsunami hit Ah Jib Gor.

re: “BN is beset with the ‘sinking ship’ syndrome. There are too many holes to plug. The ship is sure to sink.”

MCA has already jumped ship. I don’t see why BN is still persisting in carrying the MCA cargo.

Dah lagi kapal Perikatan tu bocor, nanti si petualang dok torpedo lubang-lubang dari dalam pula.

  2. How does DAP move voters to another constituencies by merely changing to any Tom, Dick and Harry’s address at voters registration. Can I simply register myself to vote in Setiawangsa but my IC address is somewhere in PJ? Unless they change the address on the IC as well.

Not just that, they will also need to put a credible address when changing IC; maybe a relative or friend’s address, I don’t know. Is what Zaini wrote plausible or DAP is so determine to do this that they’re willing to go at such length ???

  3. UMNO is much than worse than lembik. Even worse than pathetic. I just wonder if its leaders will ever heed your advice & warnings. MCA dah terjun dalam kubur.

I think you must get the COMA PUMA logo copyrighted if it’s your original creation. It describes the MCA very aptly [& funnily]!

‘DAP taught social media users to be rude’

Bintulu Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing (SPDP)

  4. Tak apa lah! siapa yang gigih berusha akan berjaya, UMNO mimpi berjaya, orang Melayu leka berseloka.

[deleted]

    1. Perkara sensitif?

      Mungkin saya terlalu paranoid.

Sekarang perang media, perang NGO, perang facebook/twitter/whatsapp/apa-apa lagitah.

      1. re: “Perkara sensitif?”

    1. Then how come the Umno president is still funding the J-Star when the paper had clearly endorsed Anwar on 4 May 2013 (the eve of polling day) as well as campaigned for the evangelistas?

Najib Razak is blind to the obvious, it looks like.

Aside from Selangor and Penang being rich states, the towns and cities have more financial capital than the rural areas and interior (fringing the jungle, like some of the Sarawak, Sabah seats.

Allowing DAP to control the urban areas is allowing DAP access to the money and the businessmen.

      1. Thanks Helen for reply
        its also obvious.
Any consultant can suggest a standard text book solution:
For starters identify short and long term objectives, analyse present situation,(what has gone and may go wrong, SWOT etc), its causes, identify alternatives to rectify each causes(not symptoms) and preventive measures. All these should be angled on short term and long terms basis.

        1. Pemandu brandishing their Powerpoint are doing textbook stuff in Putrajaya. What a waste of office space.

Can’t believe that the PM engaged supposedly high-powered konsetan to provide their “value add” (and other jargon and acronym they bandy about) for this.

  8. Apa rural areas lekeh sangat ke?

The Malaysian palm oil industry is also the fourth largest contributor to the Malaysian Gross National Income (GNI). Majority of plantations in Malaysia are concentrated in rural areas ma. GNI contribution target of RM178.0 billion in 2020.

Oil and gas Industries activities are mainly in rural areas. One report in 2013, PETRONAS is expected to generate Malaysian ringgit (M$) 131.4bn in gross national income. Siap bole bantu kasi subsidy to all living creatures in Malaysia. Kat Subang Jaya ada oil rigs ke?

Anyway majority Malays prefer rural areas. Tengok saja musim perayaan.. Banyak pekan2 tiba2 lenggang. Even to cast their votes many still prefer to go back to their kampung.. Ehemmm esp Kelantanese and Kedahans! Najib also balik kampung!

Rural areas fellas syiok sendiri they are enjoying quality lifestyles. Crowded, pollution, jams everyday, lousy transportation private or public (10minutes destination may take an hour), dirt and dust everywhere, everything so expensive..

Address? Tengok sudah siJijah bidan terjun.. Sat kat Penang tiba tiba menjelma kat Kajang!

    1. re: “Oil and gas Industries activities are mainly in rural areas.”

Ibu pejabat Petronas kat KL doh.

re: “Anyway majority Malays prefer rural areas.”

If you say so. But historically, the tide of civilization is moved by the cities nonetheless. What more political currents and trends.

Umno-BN cannot hope to remain in power if they don’t take back the urban areas.

Last election, the BN’s popular vote was 47%. Now imagine another drop to, say 42%, by the next GE. Or even if BN still manages to keep Putrajaya due to the weightage favouring rural areas, they cannot last beyond GE16 (with 38% popular vote?!) without having the moral legitimacy of the popular vote.

By 2020 – which is only 6 years away – three-quarters of the Malaysian population will be urban. And as we can see from the data, BN holds only 11.6% of the 43 fully urban seats.

      1. Memang la plantations n petronas HQ kat urban/bandar.. The bulk from their investments mesti la bawa balik pekan tapi ingat, rural folks pun contribute sama in this huge industry. So what’s wrong with the rural people? Pasai tak jadi kampung billionaires ke?

Itu LKS urban or rural voter? Haiyaa, even Anwar is a voter from kampung owh.

I don’t know why rural folks look down on urban voters?. Many if my friends, professionals left the city to settle down in rural areas. Apa fikir kami otak bolo2 poket kosong ke?

I think there are lots of things in life you people are missing which no amount of money can buy ma.. In the town areas berlambak squatter areas and many are sorta living lives in boxes! Rows and rows or pigeon holes!

        Haiyaa..

        1. Popular votes.. Who cares when we know many of these voters have otak sewel, own national language also cannot communicate, not patriotic and greedy to enrich themselves only.

Majority votes coming from these kind of citizens are useless and not healthy for the nation.

          1. re: “Popular votes.. Who cares when we know many of these voters have otak sewel”

Nonetheless, we have a One Man One Vote system. The nuclear physicist has one vote, the Jerusubang sheeple has one vote.

If DAP can strategically shift their votes to obtain a majority, they win. Playing smart lah.

        2. The universities, think tanks, this institute / that institute, this centre / that centre, newspapers, publishing houses, TV and radio stations, film studios, theatres, live performances, etc are all in the cities.

They are the ones churning out content (ideas). So it is the cities that are shaping and leading public opinion.

This is one of the reasons why DAP with only 38 Parliament seats (now 37) can be louder than Umno that has 88. Witness how well they spread rumours and stick false flags.

          1. ‘Witness how well they spread rumours and stick false flags.’

right on the dot Helen. Fahmi Fadzil himself a thespian before he becomes a political animal, what now, communication director or some sorts? So you can imagine how creative he can be sampai kantoi menipu kan?? Many of them, the likes of jo kukathas, pang khee teik (seksualiti merdeka), amir muhammad, to name a few, loves to ABU!

The ‘ABU’, before ABU has always been there (Marion D Cruz for once, had buat-buat bodo and asks who is Melayu?), with these people. In my opinion ‘the subversive arts movement’ had flourished during the tidurLah era.

  10. DAP kerja Keras Atur strategi.
UMNO leka BERKHAYAL dgn ZUMBA ZUMBA.

Apa strategi UMNO untuk perkukuh kemenangan yek ?
Nampaknya anak muda MELAYU banyak berpihak PADA PEMBANGKANG.

    1. re: “Nampaknya anak muda MELAYU banyak berpihak PADA PEMBANGKANG.”

Betul.

      null

  11. Shamsul, I salute you. U ARE RIGHT and kena batang hidung UMNO.

Amin.

    1. Kuman,

The problem facing UMNO is not difficult to be addressed. I often said many seemingly complicated issues can be solved if Najib remembers “iman dan takwa’.

Because of “iman dan takwa”, the unglamorous “makcik makcik UMNO” cycled in and out of kampung areas and lecturing womenfolks the importance of UMNO holding power. I saw how diligent they are . They reminded Malay folks that whatever mistakes Najib make or how much Khairi is hated, they are certainly better than DAP or Anwar Ibrahim.

In Chenor, Pahang, while accompanying my mother in law to a wedding re ception just before election, I saw how convincing these ladies are. They kept reminding whoever they met to vote and vote for UMNO.

Menfolk took it less seriously. I did not see Pemuda UMNO youths campaigning for votes.

      DATUM JELATEK,

Technicality is covered. Legality is assured. But if one adds the clause “iman dan takwa”, those malays in power who approved the destruction of Malay thriving settlement(not a setinggan) certainly failed the Malays. What economic benefit it makes to Malays by driving Malays out of a strategic areas to be replaced by a community that does not support UMNO or Malays.

      HULU KELANG,

Strategic places along Hulu Kelang major road are allowed to be developed and names anything but Malays in names or ownership Sunway Montana. Why on earth a state in USA is used as a new housing area. THE EFFECT? It reduces Malays in tern of percentage of voters, Meaning in next election, chances are the next ADUN will be non Malay.

      PANDAN.

in 2008, the Malays formed 49+% of voters. in 2013, Malays formed 44% of voters.

      SRI SERDANG

Significant increases of non Malay voters in the constituent in 2013 as compared to 2008.

      SHAH ALAM

Obsession on overpriced condominiums slowly resulting in Shah alam is losing its Malay majority status.

      LEMBAH PANTAI

Kerinchi “sounds” too “kolot” to many Malays in power. So now we have Bangsar south(not Bangsar Selatan). No prize for guessing who will inhabit the new enclave after the Malay heritage is eradicated .

      MALAYS IN POWER

When “iman dan takwa” ruled the day in good old days, EPU played a very important part in economic planning. All seniors in EPU are Malays.

Now we have PEMANDU . People question Najib on the necessity of PEMANDU and Najib’s irrtitating penchant of relying on overpriced consultants. who advised him on abolishing ISA?

      GOOD LOOKING PEMUDA UMNO CHIEF

But he chose Regina over thousands of UMNO Youth and we know where is her political leaning. And when Malays look at him, we “sakit hati” at UMNO .

      1. ‘They reminded Malay folks that whatever mistakes Najib make or how much Khairi is hated, they are certainly better than DAP or Anwar Ibrahim.’

This is the very reason why some Malays still vote for UMNO/BN.

        1. Helen,

precisely. malays simply did not have choices in 2013. UMNO won by default.

But if ISMA is registered as full fledged political party and put as candidates young, urbane Malay professionals who speak good English and deep appreciation on Islam, it can gives UMNO a tough fight.

How ISMA criticized Marina opened eyes and showed that ISMA is not afraid to tackle urban voters.

Unlike PAS politicians who often speak as if they are brainless, ISMA’s forte is ability to articulate well in English, a necessity to reach non Malay voters who simply refuse to do with any Malay based articles.

          1. re: ‘How ISMA criticized Marina…”

Yup. That was the breakthrough for Isma. Lots of people stood up and cheered.

            1. Reply

UMNO used to hold the fort. I remember how UMNO taught PAS a bitter lesson. One PAS former Kelantan assemblyman, Bunyamin told during a short speech in a mosque that Dr Mahathir watched pornographic movie with his grandson.

Zainuddin Maidin, street smart Minister of Penerangan decided to air the insulting remark on TV. It caught PAS off guard. And PAS was embarassed.

But more importantly for a while it did teach PAS to be careful with what they said.

Why cant UMNO that rules the country explains things. Example is that DAP insistence to paint Ibrahim Ali(meaning Malays) as racist. Ibrahim just said that any Muslims who receive Bible that contains the word Allah should just burn them.

He DID NOT ASK Muslims to burn Bible per se. Just show what he said on TV. People will realise that DAP lies(as usual) here. But until today, not many Malaysians know what exactly Ibrahim said.

Another example on what Azmi Sharom said. He said the then Sultan of Perak on sinister move with regards to change of then MB . The word “sinister” has negative conotation. Azmi purposely ignored(due to his political leaning) that Anwar initiated the dirty move of enticing UMNO ADUN to cross over, thus inviting UMNO to teach him a lesson.

But UMNO did not bother to explain. The same case with Ali bin abdul Jail. Just show what he wrote in FB to the whole world. and many will agree he deserves to be detained.

UMNO’s failure to act necessitates other parties, namely PERKASA and ISMA to act. their mere existence should make UMNO realise that UMNO IS NOT INDISPENSABLE.

                1. Helen,

Thanks for correction. The point is that Azmi implied the Sultan not acting in according to state Constitution by secretly doing deal with BN.

      2. All the “americanised” places that you mention, it’s not just happening around KL, it’s happening across the country. Go to Ipoh, you can find Manhattan District. I flinch everytime I pass that way, malu sebab tiada jati diri sebagai orang Malaysia. Kenapa PBT luluskan namanya?

I believe BN is not in control of the PBTs because you see a lot of new housing projects being developed across the Malay areas and as the projects are priced higher than usual you find the buyers to be mostly Chinese.

And that raises another question, where do they get their moneys from, the developers and the buyers? Drive around Aeon Station 18 Ipoh, you’ll find rows and rows of multiple-storey shops that have been standing empty for more than 5 years. So my question (to those in the real estate business) is, how much resources does the developer need to be able to develop that and not sell and then continue to develop in other areas in Perak?

  13. Dear helen,

I really hope tun m and najib reads your writings. tun m bole kasi balun najib umno at perkasa’s big gathering. najib’s con sultans can actually earn easy big bucks by displaying your brilliant ideas helen.

kj zumba n umno youths are busy with their glam lifesyle to think of approaching new voters. kj is irritatingly arrogant with no love for the the malay muslim culture which has been a trademark of msia.

kj n his apple polishing boys shud be terribly ashamed that helen is more ‘malay’ than the malays in umno.

how on earth can we shake najib real hard to come to his senses….

With dap at its peak with their daily porky fitnah and blatant lies n arrogance and pkr with their gangsterism style of politics and way of life, whats to become of our beloved nation. kena maki hamun n dipijak2 gambar pm pun umno masih terhegeh hegeh merayu undi cina dan penyokong pembangkang….

    1. re: “I really hope Tun M and Najib read your writings.”

Thanks. I hope that anybody reading this (i.e. persons with a line to the Tun) will point out my article to him.

re: “Tun M bole kasi balun Najib Umno at Perkasa’s big gathering.”

      Good.

  14. Now the Pakatoons have started a new front in the propaganda war – they now claim that even the Malays are migrating out of Malaysia because the country has become so rotten. Just because one coward ran off to escape the law, they are creating fictions to suit their narrative.

BTW this story is by the ex-Mkini reporter. Not surprisingly Yahoo and other news aggregators have picked it up and the story getting wide publicity across the world. To outsiders this story makes Malaysia look like a cross between Afghanistan and Iraq.

      1. Thanks for the correction. It fits the profile of a PR propagandist.

Isn’t this the same racist scare tactics they are fond of accusing Isma and Perkasa of? PDRM should charge her with sedition for stirring up religious tensions.

        1. ‘Isn’t this the same racist scare tactics they are fond of accusing Isma and Perkasa of?’

Apo nak dikato? Paku dulang, paku serpih!

    1. You got to give these dapsters credit, they must be teaching something “right” in that sekolah demokrasi. First HY with her sperm vs MH370 comment and now (if the translation is correct) you have LGE with his “If there is no rain there will be no flooding” remark to explain away the flash floods in Penang.

        1. He said Penang on Friday (Oct 3) recorded the heaviest rainfall in 21 years. Sungai Air Itam and Sungai Pinang flooded their banks.

  15. re: “Tun M bole kasi balun Najib Umno at Perkasa’s big gathering.”

entahla Helen, even kalau Tun kasi balun ‘kaw-kaw’ itu Najib melalui Perkasa big gathering, i doubt itu Najib will take heed.

keputusan pilihanraya Malaysia biasanya dipengaruhi banyak faktor.

Kenapa Najib enggan mencegah sebelum parah?

re: “keputusan pilihanraya Malaysia biasanya dipengaruhi banyak faktor.

      (i) Ekonomi – Setiap kali harga minyak naik, populariti (rating) BN akan turun.

Umno tampilkan Azeez Rahim.

(vi) Isu semasa – Takde isu pun takpe. DAP boleh cipta.

      Bhg I …

      (4) Cakap ajelah harga minyak naik.

      (5) Skim BR1M ibarat perpatah Inggeris “robbing Peter to pay Paul”. Bermakna kos menampung BR1M edisi ketiga pun turut melambung.

Lagipun Najib menjanjikan BR1M hanya sampai 2017 – tahun pra-pilihan raya. Lepas tu? Kalau tarik balik, orang yang sekian lama menerima ganjaran mungkin mengamok.

      Tun bantah.

Bhg III … / Part of my reply to sukaaman

        2. As far as I know the main reason Cina voted for Dap was because they knew they have a chance to become the government. It’s a test to the system (that Zam mentioned) that they have put in place.

Kalau kita dah hilang sabar, nahas UMNO ni.”

              Bingo, Shamshul!

After the Indian makkal sakti tidal wave and the Chinese tsunami, it’s a Malay uprising – the spirit of 1946 redux – that’s coming up next.

Tun reads the ground way better than Najib. He correctly felt the pulse of the people in 1969.

The Orang Kaya Indera Shahbandar is too insulated.

              1. Helen,

                “Tun reads….”.

Yup. But many malays too already are seeing the sentiments.

Cuma Najib masih mimpi. Malah Muhyidin juga dah sanggah Najib. Dia tak setuju Akta Hasutan dihapuskan. Muhyidin nampak lebih faham Melayu .

  17. Okay ka Cik Helen, saya tak pandai politic and giving my views as an ordinary 1vote citizen. Memang tak kenan lihat DSN and KJ’s ways..boleh hancur bangsa dan Agama.

However I read some articles Pakatan Rakyat also lost popular votes in few states including, Labuan and Putrajaya. Barisan secured 133 parliamentary seats against PR’s 89 to win the polls by a simple majority, Malays make up the majority who voted for UMNO and UMNO gained 88 parliamentary seats all by itself. UMNO also got the most popularity votes of 25%.

Memang la pekan2 are the centre of activities. Ramai, kalut semacam buat sibuk tak tentu arah, but are all of them as productive? Campoq dgn all sorts of foreigners, Subang Jaya get 200K majority lantak mereka la, satu kerusi aje ma..

Apapun jgn pandang lekeh sangat dgn rural voters. Semangat patriotisma kami kejap. Kami balik kampung bukan sekadar telan angin saja. Otak kami pun masih ligat and wth all available technologies one don’t need to live in squarter areas of towns and arrogantly claim yourselves the only ones to contribute to nation building.

    1. re: “Pakatan Rakyat also lost popular votes in few states including, Labuan and Putrajaya”

If Umno cannot retain Putrajaya, better commit harakiri lor.

In any case, Husam did better in Putrajaya than his PAS counterparts of the previous general elections.

PAS obtained % of the Putrajaya votes

      2013 – 27.9%
      2008 – 19.7%
      2004 – 10.6%

You can see PAS’s upswing in Putrajaya, the city which the Tun built. PAS’s percentage of the votes in GE13 tripled from GE11.

re: “Barisan secured 133 parliamentary seats against PR’s 89”

Correct. But BN only won 90 seats in the peninsula (minus Umno Sabah 14, PBB 14 and the other smaller BN parties in Borneo). Whereas Pakatan didn’t do strongly in Sabah and Sarawak with the exception of DAP; 80 of Pakatan seats were obtained in the peninsula.

It is with good reason that Sabah and Sarawak are billed as BN’s “fixed deposits”.

In the peninsula, BN’s strength vs Pakatan is 9:8.

re: “Malays make up the majority who voted for Umno”

But as the Tun keeps saying, Malay votes are split 3 ways and Malays were willing to vote Isma (4th option) in the last election. On the other hand, Chinese votes are consolidated in DAP and they’re very ABU-minded, so they wouldn’t be voting independent or third party candidates.

re: “Umno gained 88 parliamentary seats all by itself. UMNO also got the most popularity votes of 25%”

Umno did not “PULL” the Malay votes.

The Malay votes were “PUSH”ed to Umno because DAP was freaking them out with the show of Chinese power, mega rallies, loud boasts and threats (e.g. that they would put Umno leaders in jail for alleged corruption when they took over Putrajaya).

re: “Memang la pekan2 are the centre of activities. Ramai, kalut semacam buat sibuk tak tentu arah, but are all of them as productive?”

We’re not talking about everyday people. We’re talking about the ideologues based in IDEAS, Merdeka Center, Umcedel, Penang Institute and all those other think tank centres etc.

Your ordinary penghuni bandar yang kalut semacam buat sibuk tak tentu arah is not the one setting the tone of the national narrative/debate like, say for instance Dr Wong Chin Huat or Jahabar Sadiq.

re: “Subang Jaya get 200K majority lantak mereka la, satu kerusi aje ma”

True. Hannah Yeoh can easily spare 25k voters from her super majority. DAP can move them to Bentong and Labis.

re: “Apapun jgn pandang lekeh sangat dgn rural voters. Semangat patriotisma kami kejap.”

However strong your semangat patriotisme, you’ve already totally lost the English language media. Currently the international aggregators are carrying the Pakatan propaganda that Muslims in Malaysia are (wannabe) Bible-burning extremists who are “terrorizing” the small, weak and helpless Christian minority.

Isma is defending Islam and Perkasa is defending Malay rights. The Nest of Evangelistas is painting the two organizations as hate-spewing bigots.

And here is your Umno president up close and cosy with the uber evangelista. The most patriotic Umno blogger pun tak dapat the privilege of getting the PM’s ear like that.

      null

re: “with all available technologies one don’t need to live in squarter areas of towns”

Bricks and mortar are still needed as meeting space. Take for instance the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS). It is in the heart of PJ. Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) is in KL.

IAIS and ISIS are not located in Gong Badak.

re: “arrogantly claim yourselves the only ones to contribute to nation building”

Dandy is back here after taking a holiday. You can take up your issues with him.

      1. quote,”Umno did not “PULL” the Malay votes.

The Malay votes were “PUSH”ed to Umno because DAP was freaking them out with the show of Chinese power, mega rallies, loud boasts and threats (e.g. that they would put Umno leaders in jail for alleged corruption when they took over Putrajaya).”unquote.

Helen – I guess that Malay votes will keep on going to be “PUSHed” to UMNO in the next GE14, due to the reasons you stated above. Many of PKR and PAS seats will swing back to UMNO; especially those in Terengganu, Kelantan, Kedah, Penang and Johore.

But if and only if LKS were to “leave” this world, DAP would self-destruct with internal bickering. Presently the only ‘means’ of defeating DAP if it weakens itself.

Just my 2 sen guess. My crystal ball isn’t big enough to see the full picture.

        1. If Umno continues flying on the Push factor instead of cultivating the Pull factor, then it is depending on the weakness of its opponent rather than relying on its own inherent strength.

This is a risky approach because it presupposes that its opponent will remain the same old players (Anwar, Kit Siang, Hadi et al), and that the opposition will continue to shoot their own foot.

Umno forgets that while PAS, and lately DAP, have been their traditional foes, new entities and movements are coming up to give Pekember a run for its money.

Umno is losing its moral compass and with this its moral authority and leadership.

          1. Postscript:

Utusan is more nationalistic – “Demi Bangsa, Agama dan Negara” – than Umno.

            Umno has been zumbafied.

  18. Hai. Same-same nonsense spewing out everyday to get attention and same commenters who’s brains are all kat lutut.

    Smart sangat, pi lah bertanding.

Go get a life please. Don’t forget to wear pampers since age is catching up.

  19. Mantan PM Tun M can cry very loudly until cows come home urging Najib and UMNO to take his advice !!! Nobody would listen to him.. Maybe too late now.. the ship is sinking with everybody clamoring to save his or her own live ..Come GE 15 PR will capture Putrajaya..

I too think of migrating to Timbuktu like the others with a lot of properties and money outside the country..

Let’s get realistic here. Ask yourself why does the gomen wants to implement GST?

Bunyi macam senang. If the cars are all registered in the wife’s name, will the husband or children who drove those cars be entitled to subsidy? If the petrol stations have to pay in full to purchase petrol then claim from the government for subsidy, berapa ramai agaknya petrol stations milik bumi yang akan tutup?

BR1M – Nothing given for free is appreciated beyond the minute it is given. If you tell your child he has to work for that Playstation or XBox or tablet, he would cherish it and really take care of it. The stuff you give him on his birthdays, he’ll just put aside and forget about it after a while. Same with BR1M. When the RM is spent, people will still not vote for the gomen, people will still ridicule the BN.

    2. ‘Ask yourself why does the gomen wants to implement GST?’

Salah satu sebab nak banteras shadow economy yang juga digunakan, among others, untuk fund anti Perlembagaan politicians and NGOs!

    1. You’re correct. Umno is the best option from among what’s on offer out there.

Similarly DS Najib Razak is also the best option, or at least Ah Jib Gor is – from the Chinese point of view.

I really wish he’d get a grip ASAP. Otherwise the pressure on him from his own party’s pro-establishment Malays will just keep mounting.

      1. Helen,

UMNO is really lucky. Lucky because
        1) PAS is in the mess.
        2) There are still good humble leaders in UMNO. UMNO still have respected leaders like Johari(Titiwangsa), Mukhriz, Mohd hassan, Dr Zambri.

It reminds me of good old days when UMNO managed to spead in Sabah simply because USNO trusted Tun Ghaffar Baba.

UMNO still have hopes when people still criticizes it. It means people still believe there is hope for UMNO. I believe situation is hopeless when Malays stop talking about UMNO.

Meaning UMNO will be gone when Malays just say “pergi mampos dengan UMNO”.

The bad news is that UMNO is fast approaching the hopeless situation. Every time UMNO leaders waste time on Zumba or giving priorities to half bakes ideas from overpriced consultants. UMNO is getting closer to be relegated to museum.

  21. Bayaran visa dikecualikan kepada pelancong China. Sebelum ni dah banyak kes pelancong China masuk Malaysia, tak balik-balik lepas itu hilang begitu saja.

BN (Umno) masih tak nak belajar. Adakah kita perlu terlampau terhutang budi dengan China sampai kita ikutkan apa yang mereka mahu.

Adakah PRU14 akan menyaksikan peningkatan mendadak pengundi cina yang langsung tak tahu berbahasa Melayu lantas menyaksikan peningkatan undi dap? mca dan gerakan memang tahu tapi buat senyap saja sebab menguntungkan bangsa dia.

    1. There is something very wrong with the immigration rules in this country. When you have a host country who is very hospitable and welcoming to visitors, you are going get a whole lot of visitors who will abuse that hospitality and the government seems to have not learned anything from the abuse of visas by African and some Asian visitors.

Africans use student visas to get in but do not actually attend universities? Well, let’s open up more places in private universities for them. Chinese women brought in using visitors pass and then forced to prostitute? Let’s allow them in without even paying for visas.

We have miles and miles and miles of open borders. We have way too many points of entry into the country. We do not have enough enforcement personnel. And yet the government says, welcome one and all, we’ll waive your entry visas, we’ll waive payment of visas, heck let’s just lift the entry barriers and wave them through.

  22. I’m assuming you highlight this post since one of the issues that’s been highlighted in TMI and a few other media lately has been about election for local council.

I believe PAS’ Hadi said such a move would bring about another 13 May and I also read this opinion piece on Hadi.
    http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/rencana/article/yang-tidak-dimengerti-hadi-tentang-undi-ketiga-izmil-amri

Obviously it’s a good move for DAP if local council election is allowed and yet we have this ” keputusan Mahkamah Persekutan pada 14 Ogos 2014 yang menolak permohonan kerajaan negeri Pulau Pinang dan P. Ramakrishnan (mantan Presiden Aliran) untuk mengadakan pilihanraya pihak berkuasa tempatan di negeri Pulau Pinang” –
    http://partisosialis.org/node/2952

If I were a Dapster I would definitely go all out to overturn that court decision and push for the election of local council.

    1. re: “I’m assuming you highlight this post since one of the issues that’s been highlighted in TMI and a few other media lately has been about election for local council.”

Your presumption is correct, ma’am. Also,

      re: TMI‘s “yang-tidak-dimengerti-hadi-tentang-undi-ketiga-izmil-amri”

      Izmil Amri is a Roketkini.

re: “P. Ramakrishnan (mantan Presiden Aliran) untuk mengadakan pilihanraya pihak berkuasa tempatan”

Aliran might as well just drop the NGO charade and formalize their affiliation as a DAP Penang chapter.

      1. Don’t agree to elections but UMNO appoints some of it’s ugliest reps, adinda Helen
into the local councils .. because AJK Bahagians must be rewarded(?) aaagh.

Wrong! UMNO must put their most professional face there that are the closest to, and to serve their voters !.

        Haji M Zin
        Alor Gajah DPH

        1. That is true. We have one in my local council. Been there, seems like forever and a clear example of “power corrupts”. When will the government realize that they need professionals to get work done properly?

On the local council elections, well it’s not a workable proposition for this country I think. Mainly because the majority really doesn’t have a clue about the workings of the council. And when you start having elections at this level, I can see the council being controlled by one voice (race) and when they make a decision that is totally unacceptable, (like no azan) we will have a revolt.

Helen, I read your Eric Paulsen note at the top right column. It looks like Paulsen failed in bahasa melayu comprehension. If not, the guy is definitely a first class shit-stirrer.

  23. I don’t think DAP is sincere about the local elections at all. In Penang they had been promising it for years but somehow playing taichi with the NGOs there and then they decided to sue the Federal Govt. to allow them to lawfully hold it.

There is nothing stopping them from holding and even EC told them to go ahead but they are indulging in political gamesmanship by insisting the laws to be changed. If they want the law to be changed they should get the MPs to move this law in the parliament instead of suing the Federal government.

What DAP want is actually to have local elections in states where they have no control over the state government since they know they are the kings in urban areas with 90% Chinese support. With this they can control the local council and create their own mini government with BN-controlled states.

  24. This is what the AFP (with their Dapster local reporter) reported:

Anwar was a rising star in the ruling Umno in the 1990s, but a power struggled ended with him purged and jailed for six years on previous sodomy and corruption charges widely viewed as politically motivated. That earlier sodomy charge was later dismissed. Joining the opposition after his release,

Anwar has helped lead it to unprecedented electoral gains in the multi-racial country with pledges to end corruption and UMNO’s racially divisive politics. The opposition won the majority of votes in 2013 elections but failed to take parliament due to Umno gerrymandering.

Read the last sentence – how could a professional and international news agency could write such a news almost as a matter of fact ? Unless of course the writer is a true-blue card carrying Dapster. I wonder what is the editor is doing in allowing such blatant and unethical and unprofessional news reporting. This is shocking that even Mkini would not resort to stoop this low.
