Marina’s tweet above, in response to izghazali, appeared on the Twitter timeline shortly after Umno president Najib Razak announced that the Sedition Act will stay.
It was a follow-up to her earlier declaration, “I really don’t want to be ruled by the stupid”.

June Wong and her fellow J-Star editors and columnists like Marina are “committed to and believe in a multiracial, multi-cultural and multi-religious Malaysia” which has no place for “stupid” leaders.

Your stupidity Marina cannot simply be attributed to genetic, you dumbass. Yes, Tun Dr. M is your biological father and I don’t think he is stupid but you are stupid in my opinion, simply because in genetics, you will only inherit 50% of his genetic material whilst the other 50% is from your mum (who I also doubt is stupid). But what kind of 50% qualities from both of your parents did you get? Furthermore, inheritance of genetic material is not straightforward because both your parents produced a lot of gametes that are haploid in nature and obviously each has its own unique characteristics/ genetic combinations which cumulatively produced you (i.e the stupid diploid one). On top of that, even if you are genetically predisposed to inherit half of their intelligence, that does not necessarily mean that you are as intelligent or relatively more intelligent than both of your parents, because other factors also play a role such as exogenous and endogenous environments, which will also affect the expressivity of your genes, which you get from your parents. Maybe during the course of your development you were exposed to mutations, holy water overdose or stupidity virus ke apa, which certainly will influence the expression of your genes and then showed its physiological manifestation kan? What I’m saying here Marina, is that it is statistically possible from a biological point of view for you to be stupid, unlike your dad. It’s the same like saying just because your dad can diagnose diseases and suggest suitable course of treatment, that does not necessarily mean that you can cure AIDS simply because you are his biological offspring. Being ruled by our emotions and beliefs is what happens to most people. People in fact rule themselves. Therefore “being ruled by the stupid” (or saying one does not like being ruled by the stupid) is an admission of having an external locus of control. In the end you are being ruled.
And for the daughter of a statesman to admit to being “ruled” says little about her and her independence. Her locus of control is therefore by her admission an external factor.
A spotted man does not always beget a spotted son (or daughter). Taking the genetic route out to explaining away one’s weaknesses is no answer to the problem. She is clearly no Mahathir Muhammed.

Marina is really lucky. Out of respect to Tun, Malays are quite restraint when they respond to Marina’s antic. Marina is perfect example of “kacang lupakan kulit”.
She ridiculed “alim ulamak” simply because to her, they have no right to remind Muslims on “hukum hakam”. When someone chose to ignore “hukum hakam” and organized touching dog session, Muftis and “alim ulamak” reminded Muslims on Islam.
Marina ridiculed them. She accused them of trying to control Malays. What they did was simply educating Malay Muslims on Islamic principles when it comes to dog. They did not try to control Muslims.
Marina becomes an ally of the very people who wages war against the Malays.

So Najib was saying it is true that Umno pays bloggers, and those bloggers that are biting the hand are ‘bangang’.
Any surprise that the pro-Mahathir bloggers were bristling at Najib’s remarks? Termakan cili, pedas rasanya, merah muka.
The shooting own foot just shows how clueless the PM is, i.e. he thinks he has cyber troops (like “the 40,000”) but which are actually non-existent. How can a general wage war when he doesn’t know the size of his own army and what they’re fighting for?
Lots of Malay blogs are critical of him (not of Umno per se but of his leadership personally). He’s really insulated by consultants, advisors and what not if he’s mislead to believe that they’re are on his party payroll.
Mahfuz has asked the Umno president to clarify whether Najib was insinuating that AKJ (“pro-M blogger”) is bangang. That AKJ got dragged into this is really sealing the PM’s clueless reputation.
Umno has a lot of cybertroopers operating but a majority of them are morons. Including the two that Ahiruddin Attan takes as ‘smart’.
AKJ dragged himself in by reacting to Najib’s remark. Many of those pro-Mahathir bloggers bristled because they knew that remark was directed at them.
