Penang DAP will be donating RM10,000 worth of relief supplies to Kelantanese affected by the flood. The items will be handed over by a Penang DAP team flying to Kota Bharu tomorrow.

The hantaran committee comprises party state chairman Chow Kon Yeow, DAP exco Lim Hock Seng, secretary Lim Hooi Ying (Guan Eng’s younger sister, in green ‘Ubah’ T-shirt – pix above), bajungu boss Phee Boon Poh and Grandpa Dapster Lim Kit Siang.

PAS’s hudud bill taken at the flood

The Kelantan state assembly’s special sitting to move the hudud amendment bills has been postponed, The J-Star happily reported earlier this afternoon.

If/when Kit Siang meets the PAS top-ranking ulamas tomorrow, he can say “I told you so”.

It is not God’s will for hudud to be implemented in Kelantan. The DUN being immersed in flood water is a sign from the sky that PAS hudud does not meet with divine approval because it contains shortcomings.

The_Camel_Train

One of the hudud offences is hirabah (highway robbery) which is punishable by death or crucifixion or cross amputation of limbs.

Hirabah affected overland transportation when camels were stolen on the desert highway and caravans robbed. In Kelantan today, travel is increasingly over water, riding in sampans and boats.

PAS may need to update its hudud draft.

  1. Helen. RM10,000 saja ke? Mana cukup. Yang terjejas lebih dari 10,000 orang. Nak makan apa kalau seorang dapat RM1 sahaja. Sedangkan orang yang ditimpa bencana dah dua tiga hari tak ada bekalan.

Sepatutnya sumbangan hendaklah RM1 juta. Baru betul dan barulah boleh di iktiraf sebagai pemimpin berjiwa rakyat.

    1. Kalau diikutkan laporan TMI, sumbangan DAP dalam bentuk barangan (air botol, serbuk susu, biskut, lampin dan tuala wanita) bernilai 10k.

    2. Alhamdulillah. RM10K worth of goods is better than nothing.
Kalau bagi terlalu banyak nanti, orang akan kata banyak duit DAP, datang dari mana?

I guess they are waiting for Lim (the) Young’Un to come back before the state government will offer their help.

Dalam bab banjir ni, saya kagum dengan Ketua Pemuda. Saya ikut juga twitter dia. Dia paparkan bahawa ketua pemuda bahagian semuanya bekerja keras. Now. that is working smart.

Cheapo political PR! Especially with the baju ungu taiko and kaki spin Kit Siang!

‘Helen. RM10,000 saja ke? Mana cukup.’

    Haiyaa, Melayu seorang RM1 cukuplah.

    1. From what I understand of the article, RM10,000 is the party contribution and hence LKS-Gelang Patah also in for the photo ops.

Penang state government contribution would be separate but follow-up news reports said that bajungu boss has the discretion to draw half million from official a/c (funding).

      1. ‘follow-up news reports said that bajungu boss has the discretion to draw half million from official a/c (funding).’

Of course la, state money maa, rained on them by Tokong anak!

          1. I am fine if it is really help. Cartons of sanitary towels are not too useful to the needy. Food is.

Or is Pahang needy a dumping ground for excess towel stock. Caring? Dumping?

Sumbangan yang tidak ikhlas bukanlah sumbangan.

            1. I don’t see anything wrong with sanitary towel contribution. Some women will need to use it.

    2. Tak hairan mereka hanya bagi RM10k. Kan mereka ada tentera upahan cyber. Ingat Dandy dan yang sewaktu dengannya ? Upah mereka 50 sen per comment. Bayangkan berapa peruntukan harian mereka kalau 10k komen. Sebab tu lah kena jimat belanja.

  3. “‘Kalau diikutkan laporan TMI, sumbangan DAP dalam bentuk barangan (air botol, serbuk susu, biskut, lampin dan tuala wanita) bernilai 10k.”‘

Free lar that can bet you those Dap dickheads never spent RM1.
    For that 10k of goods.

    1. [Facebook]

Pictures of the sumbangan Pulau Pinang.

I wonder why do flood victims need so many cartons of tuala wanita.

Don’t they need rice, canned food?

        1. Idiot…. Thts ladies neccessity…and theres lots of them ladies there who will need it.. ” to soak up flood water?” Bettr use to shove your #%*+ mouth..

          1. Sumbangan yang tak ikhlas. Sumbangan clearance stock.
I remember during the tsunami there were many who donated rags, clothes which the victims cannot use. Yes, some donated Sampah.
If you truly care for the flood victims dear Tokong, give food, blankets, clothes and medicine. But this tuala wanita donation is just another publicity stunt.

          2. That was meant to be sarcasm in response to Mulan’s comment on tuala wanita.

The fact is the severely aged-challenged LKS has been very critical of the flood relief efforts and yet can only come up with RM10K in contribution. While earlier I’ve tried to look on the contribution in the spirit it is given, now I’m not so sure in what spirit it is given since he is still politicising the flood relief efforts. Just look at his blog. And having to explain sarcasm is like having to explain a joke.

So if the above remark offends you, I sincerely apologise.

    1. Why do you consider just Umno retards?
What about Wan Azizah ignoring the flooded Kajang folks?
What about Kit Siang picking on Najib and every minister he can remember, while he himself does not offer help?

So go be proud of your RM10,000 contribution but please stop picking on the ones who are really helping out.

And islam1st, it doesn’t work out to RM1 per person. It is actually less than RM1 for each family affected.
      http://ebanjir.kelantan.gov.my/p_pmrpt04.php

And I don’t think Annie was picking on Umno. It was a statement against all who chose to turn these floods into their political gain.

      1. Do you know that Im one of the first volunteers who takes the time and spend my own money to help out? WE are all malaysians who help each other in their times of need!

    2. Helen, why is it that when the ‘samseng’ commenters keluar perkataan maki hamun/kesat you lepaskan but when it’s our turn to do so(once in a while), you censor our words?

      1. Hahaha.

Usually when the perkataan maki hamun/kesat is directed at me, I lepaskan. But when the perkataan maki hamun/kesat is directed at DAP leaders or Chinese, I block.

e.g. If a commenter calls me a “bitch”, I’ll allow it to pass. If a commenter calls Hannah Yeoh or Teresa Kok a “bitch”, I’ll censor.

About this particular samseng, kali ni I terlepas pandang (blur) b’cos he usually likes to maki hamun me. So, I dah biasa and almost automatically let his comment through.

“sefnk” is our long-time commenter Mr Alphabet Soup if you remember. He uses monikers like “sshsn”, “fff”, “dd”, “r” etc.

      2. This way the people will view the thuggish opposition differently. Bloody uncouth, lacking property upbringing.

  4. Bought 1k disposable cups, 4 cartons of instant noodles, 3 cartons of coffee powder, 3 cartons of milk powder, 4 cartons of sardines & 2 cartons of biscuits earlier at Mydin USJ after doing a quickie collection at lunch.

The bill came to 1213. Everything was loaded into a single Ford Focus. And DAP can only contribute 10k? How much mileage are they expecting to gain from that paltry sum?

    1. Using more than 10k will affect their war chest against BN. I’m sure they are planning series of demos, upgrading their version of sekolah demokrasi, brainwashing seminars and etc which requires a lot of money. Giving aid to a hardcore malay state is just not their priority.

The devil (read: DAP) will always expect something in return for their so called aid.

      1. ‘Giving aid to a hardcore malay state is just not their priority. ‘

Priority is Penang Institute with calls for Penang to secede from Malaysia.

DAP ni kerja dia menghasut, menghasut, menghasut tak habis-habis! Bila nak jadi warganegara?

        1. Had to attend wedding in Penang yesterday, just aft. the bridge stopped at Tesco. Alamak Mulan, rasa macam kat Hongkong la.. pizza hut, toilet all only Apek faces!

Toilet wr dirty and worst, while waiting for my car near the message chairs next to pizza hut, never seen anywhere in Tesco before… got banyak lalat ma?

I tot Penang like Singapore wan. Jauh sekali.. sampah everywhere. Makan cendol got to queue like crazy..the stall also dirty, even the air tingkap heritage stall. What la?

          1. Kalau nak tengok jamba. Singapura yang kotor, pergi ke stesen bas Singapura-Jb di Queen Street,

Memang toilets di Tesco Jelutong tersangat kotor.

    2. This whole exercise is a charade but as you and I know, as everyone here know, it works because they have a fabulous propaganda machine.

But having a fabulous propaganda machine is just half the story. You also need a captive audience if your propaganda is to have the desired out. Here the 90% Chinese who voted the opposition in the previous GE come into play.

      Why?

Because they ARE the captive audience. They will consume anything coming from the said fabulous propaganda machine. It works just like a charm.

Oh and by the way, don’t you think the fat cats of the developers’ party look charming, especially the self proclaimed caliph? Sorry, my comment is meant as sarcasm. My apology for the offense.

    3. Agree with you. REAL Malaysians care and help out without any fuss, fanfare or publicity. Charity truly is not what you can afford but rather what you choose to share with whatever you have. I have done my part in terms of effort and providing relief items like food and water. In times of need we have to find the empathy, sympathy for the victims irregardless of race or religion to mitigate their sufferings

    1. Sad that Islam continues to being used for political ends, Sdr Abdullah
when right now we should be helping our Muslim brethrens, kan ?

      Worikh Kelate:
We can’t be there, only sending RM000s each to my wife’s cousins to buy sundries and more needed for restoring their house and property in KB.

This is close to Sunnah SAW, to care first for immediate kins and it is effective. It fits their needs, sent quick and reaches the target people.

Who knows, when we are next in dire need? Our d’ua of the best in-sya-Allah for those affected, officials on duty and volunteers!

      Haji M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

      1. Yes, Tuan Haji may Allah bless you for your kind-heartedness, and for the sake of our non-Muslim brethren who may misunderstand Islam because of all the political verbiage that surrounds the religion, here are some traditional narrations from the Prophet and his khalifah:

It is of the adab or propriety of Islam to know the value of one’s word, and not to give one’s word unless one intends to keep it, and to keep it once it has been given. The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “The signs of a hypocrite are three: (1) when he speaks he lies, (2) when he promises he breaks the promise, (3) and when entrusted with something he betrays it” (Sahih Bukhari).

When the first Caliph Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r.a) was dying, he sent for ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (r.a.), and told him, “O ‘Umar, if you are given authority over the people, fear Allah and hold fast to what is Right. For the balance scale of those souls whose pans are found to be heavy on Resurrection Day shall only be heavy because they had followed what is Right and shouldered its burdens upon them; it is fitting that when righteous deeds are placed in it tomorrow that it should be heavy.
And the balance of those whose scale pans are light on Resurrection Day [because of few good deeds] will be found light because they had followed what is Wrong and enjoyed its ease upon them – it befits the balance scale when what is wrong is placed in it tomorrow that it is light.

And know that there are works for Allah at night that He does not accept during the day, and that there are works during the day which He does not accept at night. And know that He does not accept an additional act of worship until what is obligatory has been done.”

          1. re: “It is not God’s will for hudud to be implemented in Kelantan. The DUN being immersed in flood water is a sign from the sky that PAS hudud does not meet with divine approval because it contains shortcomings.”

            As salaamualaikum Tuan Haji Zin,

The most serious of obstacles to the Islamist PAS hudud initiative is the fact that Ustaz Nik Aziz and Ustaz Hadi Awang hold to the aqidah or creed of the Wahhabis as reported in the blogs below in 2010.

Unfortunately, Wahhabism which stems from the teachings of Ibn Taymiyyah (14th century AD) and Muhammad Abdul Wahhab (18th century AD) go against the classical understanding of the jumhur ulama Ahl Sunnah wal Jamaah (consensus of the learned through the ages) for the last 1000 years- this is the foundational creed of Abu Hassan Al-Ash’aari as formulated in the Sifat-20 (discursive theology on the 20 attributes of the Unique Oneness of Allah Almighty and Sublime).

But traditional Malays heed the call: “Awwaluddin ma’rifatullah” (the foremost in religion is to understand the nature of Allah and to acknowledge His Lordship over all creation). And “man arafa nafsahu fa qad arafa rabbahu” (he who has insight into his soul knows his Lord). This is the classic Sufi reminder for Muslims who will follow in the footsteps of our blessed Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. who is the best of creation and the essence of true morality. It is the Sufi ulama and the Ahl-bait of Muhamad s.a.w. who conveyed the message of Islam to the Nusantara Malays, and this is the foundation and principle of our Tok Guru pondok from Pattani to Palembang to Surabaya.

The religion of Islam is crippled if either one of Tauhid, Fiqh, or Tasawwuf is left out. This holistic nature of the religion of Muhammad s.a.w. was obtained from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala through the agency of Archangel Jibril or Gabriel as repoted in the famous Hadith of Jibril (al-Iman wa al-Islam wa al-Ihsan). Tragically, Ibn Taymiyyah and especially Abdul Wahhab reject the akidah of Imam Al-Ash’aari (based on logical and scriptural proofs); they also avoid the science of tasawwuf or psychology of the heart-mind (Imam al-Ghazali and Ibn Arabi). Thus have the Malays in Nusantara been thrown into sectarianism and opinionated argumentation (taksub and tafarruq), while very few have a good understanding of the views of the madzhabs (schools of jurisprudence).

As for the validity of the Salafi or Wahhabi approach in interpreting the texts of the Qur’an and sunna, any group of individuals who advances their legalistic claims are subject to the same rigorous criteria of the Islamic sciences as anyone else who makes interpretive claims about the Qur’an and sunna; namely, they must show:

            1. that their interpretations are acceptable in terms of Arabic language;

            2. that they have exhaustive mastery of all the primary texts that relate to each question, and

            3. that they have full familiarity of the methodology of usul al-fiqh or “fundamentals of jurisprudence” needed to comprehensively join between all the primary texts.

The other shortcomings of the PAS hudud initiatives are clear: These days they openly support the atheist Malayan Communist Party murder of our Muslim policemen at Bukit Kepong, and they have Zionist supporters in the Harakah Daily, by means of the ultra-liberal Anwar. But the basic obstacle to their political initiatives is that they are doing wrong by Allah and Rasulullah while trying to do right in the name of Islam.

            http://theunspinners.blogspot.com/2010/06/al-azhar-sahkan-wahhabi-sesat-taubatlah.htm

“In most countries, Salafism (Wahhabism) is the new “default Islam,” defining all religious discourse, past and present, by the understanding of a few Hanbali scholars of the Middle Ages whose works historically affected the tribes and lands where the most oil has been found. Among the more prominent casualties of this “reform” are the Hanbalis’ ancient foes, the Ash‘ari and Maturidi schools of Sunni theology”

            http://www.masud.co.uk/ISLAM/nuh/kalam.htm

Islam is a wisdom religion, in which salvation itself rests not on vicarious atonement as in Christianity, or on ethnic origin as in Judaism, but on personal knowledge. Whoever “knows” in thought, word and deed, that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah is by that very fact saved.

  6. More spin, this time by PKR.

    http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/kelantan-hudud-tweaks-meaningless-without-parliament-nod-pkr-sec-gen-says

“But despite this, Rafizi pointed out that any amendments to the state enactment are inconsequential as the final arbiter on whether the state can implement the Islamic penal law is the Federal Constitution that can only be changed in Parliament.”

Pas is not demanding for s constitutional amendment. Why the spin ?

  7. Try checking out the inside pages of the Star today. There’s a full page of photos showing MCA & Gerakan leaders helping with the clean up in Kelantan.

What struck me about the photos were how the MCA & Gerakan leaders managed to keep themselves so clean despite supposedly hard at work cleaning mud caked surfaces. Somehow, Chew Mei Fun was the odd one out as she was stained with soil. We can probably guess who’s actually doing some work on the ground & who isn’t.

        1. Her party is solidly behind their EvangeliSTAR “moderate” campaign… ultimately MCA = DAP = MCA = DAP.

Even Sin Chew is doing a “moderates” thingy with the Chinese guilds and associations.

First they baling batu (tsunami 5 May), then they sorok tangan (“not true that the Chinese wanna grab power”) and now they’re whinging that the reaction to their own action is a form of “racism, extremism, bigotry and spewing of hatred”.

They’re desperately doing damage control but it’s too late. The damage can no longer be repaired.

          1. A certain blogger, his pen name starts with the letter S, you know the blogger too :) in his latest rant, once again blamed everything on the Malays. You could sense in his latest rant his desperation :)

This blogger is the male version of HY. With HY its always about calling her detractors racists while this blogger, he appropriates for himself the authority to define who a Chinese person should be. If you do not fit his description of a Chinese person, he will call you all sorts of names, which he did on you on countless occasions.

What you said is true. Its too late now.

            1. re: “If you do not fit his description of a Chinese person, he will call you all sorts of names”

Some 90 percent of ‘Chinese’ voters support the DAP whose slogan is “Malaysian First”, “Malaysia for Malaysians” and “Anak Bangsa Malaysia”. The DAP credo is that there are “zero Chinese” and “no Malays, no Indians too, all Malaysians”.

They call me and Malays and Indian Muslims all sorts of names: “racists”, “low class”, “extremists”, “bigots”, “Taliban”, “mamak kutty”. They call Chinese converts to Islam all sorts of “babi” names.

But they call Chinese who convert to Christianity as the Lamb of God.

As long as these kind of people are unable to make peace with Islam in this land (di mana bumi dipijak) and as long as they maintain their contempt of the natives seen in the savage way they treat Indonesian maids, then they can keep on whinging how they’re only a meek minority being persecuted by Ketuanan Melayu.

              1. Re As long as these kind of people are unable to make peace with Islam in this land……

The British are long gone but there are still those who think they have a right to act out the superiority of colonial rule. They cannot make peace with Islam because they always believed that they are superior to anyone else. But then again the need to act superior is itself a display of an inferiority complex.

Re and as long as they maintain their contempt of the natives seen in the savage way they treat Indonesian maids,

They imitate the British who treated the yellow and brown coolies the same way they are now treating the Indonesian maids. To be more precise, they are the New Jews, look at how Jews treat the Palestinians yet these same Jews dare to talk of how they were treated by the Nazis. The victims became the oppressors. If these people care to look at their own history in Malaya, they should be ashamed of the way they carry themselves today.

Re they can keep on whinging how they’re only a meek minority being persecuted by……..

What is the difference between a Chinese Christian and a Chinese Buddhist in Malaysia ? I think we started on the wrong premise. Instead we should focus on the one single factor. That one single premise that unites them is their contempt, which has now evolved into hatred of the Malay community. They will not stop even after they have gained political power to augment their considerable economic might. They will only stop after they can do to the Malays what the Jews are now doing to Palestinians in Palestine.

                1. re: “What is the difference between a Chinese Christian and a Chinese Buddhist in Malaysia?”

Most of the provocation comes from the evangelistas; the DAP top leadership is evangelical.

              2. Not all Chinese are the same nor all Indians nor all Malays. Stereotyping our fellow human beings is wrong. Not every Christian believes in the same thing nor every Muslim.nor Hindu. The world is a variegated mosaic. Be a beautiful little piece of that wonderful design.

                1. re: “Not all Chinese are the same nor all Indians nor all Malays. Stereotyping our fellow human beings is wrong. Not every Christian believes in the same thing”

MCA Chinese are generally not as provocative as the DAP evangelical Christians. The DAP evanglista Yang Berhormat (who converted to Christianity at the age of 19) keeps labelling others as “racist” and “low class”.

As for the Christians, the cultists among them are creepy. They are deviants (pengikut ajaran sesat). China has banned the evangelical Christian cults that pose a danger to society.

                2. Re Not all Chinese are the same….

Sir, 90% Chinese voted opposition. This is no coincidence. Those 10% who voted the other way are constantly harassed, vilified, ridiculed, called other names like stupid.

Re Stereotyping our fellow human beings is wrong.

Sir, again those 10% Chinese who voted for the ruling party are constantly called names, some not fit to appear on this blog because these names are way beyond human decency. Who is stereotyping here ?

Re The world is a variegated mosaic. Be a beautiful little piece of that wonderful design.

Sir, most of us want a peaceful country so that we can make a decent living, and if there’s opportunity make a fortune too. We are not going to start a crisis. We are not troublemakers. We just want to get on with our lives but there are people who just won’t allow that.

  8. ….. as long as they maintain their contempt of the natives…

Berani tak mereka yg benar2 tak suka Malays and Islam come up with stickers and tampal depan pintu perniagaan mereka “Don’t like Malays and Muslims”.

Nak tengok sikit how long they can survive on this land?

        1. So far I’ve managed to keep – for a whole week already – my new year resolution not to blog :D despite that this site is still getting a surprisingly high number of hits daily, its inactivity notwithstanding.

My other new year resolution is to be a minimalist after looking at the gallery of flood devastation. The pictures just make you prefer to have as few personal belongings as possible.

There have been a couple of days in Selangor with heavy rain that made me fear if it was going to flood here where I live. My books are stacked on the living room floor, so I guess it it floods, they will be the first things to be damaged.

Otherwise methinks it is certainly much better just not to keep stuff we don’t need or might never use. Which is going to be my dedicated project for the first quarter of this year – to clear the detritus and divest.

Assuredly I do not possess any branded handbag(s). Imagine in the event of flood or fire, a certain midget screaming mightily, “Oh my Prada! My Prada!”

  9. Ms H. I cannot help but to imagine that the venerable Singaporean Trojan Horse DAP’s leadership is exactly like the venerable PAP leadership of Singapore. – 1959 – 2015. A sort of mirror image of each other since 1966 !
