  1. I hope there will be peace and quiet for the next 5 years. I am really fed up listening to his antics since 1997. A whole generation grew up with tales of his sodomy and sodomy again.

I am really sick of getting stuck in KL (and feeling really helpless) when visiting KL for the Commonwealth Games. I am really sick of following daily updates of the exchange rate.

I am really sick of family unfriendly newspaper and TV laced with sexual reports. I was caught when my nephew asked what “sodomy”, “anal”, “penis” and “semen” was. I really did not know how to answer him.

I am sick of constant stories of who is going to Putrajaya or not and all the silly datelines.

I am really sick of people of the street doing Bersih or trying Occupy this and that.

I am sick of guessing who will be the next Menteri Besar.
Do I deserve peace and quiet?

    1. Looking forward for more peaceful and united Malaysia ,opp’s !!! forget the Lim is still active player

    2. In some cases retribution is meted out during their lifetime; in other cases punishments are executed in the afterlife. None shall be wronged in the least in the court of the Most High.

    1. Kecewa dan tawar hati dengan kepimpinan BN.

Jahat serangan-serangan yang dilancarkan ke atas Tun, Tun Daim, Tan Sri Zam, Datuk Kadir dll.

      1. Helen I like your writing style. Even though I’m not always agree with you, but helenang.wordpress.com is one of the blog that I like to read.

Same like Tun Dr. Mahathir & TS Zam blog. I frequently read their blog even though I don’t like them when they are in power. Sadly TS Zam now choose not to blog in politic anymore. Maybe Helen can “pujuk” TS Zam to write politic again.

Harap Helen terus menulis. I just like to read.

          1. Yeah, Helen. Please continue writing as yours is one of the blogs that I visit every day.

I may not comment often in your postings but I do enjoy reading them(credit would have to be given to the ‘awesome’ commentators as well) and I have also made it a point to forward them to my friends as well.

They, too, have told me how they have enjoyed reading your postings which we have found to be very informative, objective, realistic and factual.

Like you, I, too, have my many ‘kecewa’ moments. So, lighten up and let us share this ‘kecewa’ feeling bersama-sama(1 Kecewa) okay?

  2. I choose to read your blog Helen:)

This case is a no win-win situation, short-term wise.

Long-term may be positive but depends on how PAS reacts. With the absence of Anwar, Hadi can solidify his position in PAS.

  3. pls do not forget dtn sri wan azizah. I hv known of her existence since her medical student days in Ireland. that was when I was d student attaché in London. being n obedient wife I think she has suffered enough. it is a fact that she has become n iconic figure especially amongst d educated malay ladies/girls.

4 d malays 2 unite she has 2 b roped in. it is going 2 b difficult but n attempt has 2 b made. this is where d malay elders can play a role.

there r many ‘young turks’ on her side that she can bring along with her.

I made a personal appeal 2 her thru my short article early last yr which appeared in Eddy’s blog ‘just my thoughts’ n I still stand by my observation.

    1. DS Wan Azizah… I have mixed feelings about her. I think she’s the picture of someone forced into politics. I’m certain it’s not a path she chose but was chosen for her. If she were not AI’s wife and if AI was not portrayed as being persecuted, she would not have even garnered a single vote at the polls.

There’s one part of me that is in awe of her loyalty to her husband. She stands with him therefore casting doubts on the allegations AI faced, because which woman in her right mind would stand with a serial cheater for a husband.

Then there’s another part of me that goes hmmm. If I were in her shoes I would kick his ass at the first sign of straying. After all, the wife always knows. I mean if one person claims your husband was sleeping with her, maybe you are skeptical, maybe you think its a conspiracy. But when a few do the same, wouldn’t you start to ask some questions?

If “educated” young malay women put her up as their icon, I would seriously question their “education”.

      1. re: “I mean if one person claims your husband was sleeping with her, maybe you are skeptical, maybe you think its a conspiracy.”

Your husband was sleeping with HIM … the wifey unable to compute.

      2. orang kampung,

pls read my short article in d blog I mentioned above. she stood firmly behind anwar not 4 d sake of anwar but more so 2 keep d family together. I think she knows of anwar’s sexcapades n unnatural taste. I can only speculate that this was one of d things she complained 2 tun m . ( when asked, tun m confirmed abt d 18 page letter n said that it was private n some of it is already public knowledge).

she has 2 think of her own legacy n d best way 2 do it is by contributing 2wards malay unity now n not 2 contd wth any efforts 2 disprove of anwar’s guilt.

she has suffered n endured enough. it is in this context that she has gained d admiration of d ladies, hence becoming n icon. I agree that she has limited political skill n acumen but that is not d main criterion 4 unifying d masses. perception does.

        1. You may want to provide the link. Eddy’s blog is quite lengthy.

I can understand wanting to keep her family together, after the first allegations in 1998. I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been for them. But when this case surfaced she would have been better off if she had been more honest with herself, and her family.

I’ve never been a fan of AI. I thought (out loud) that bringing AI into his cabinet was a big mistake by TDM.

When AI was first charged and his wife stood by him, that was expected. But when she went into politics just to be his mouthpiece, I thought that was not a wise move for her. If she had wanted to hold her family together she should have stayed out of politics. Politics is a cesspool of filth, and with the spotlight shining into the pit, there’s nowhere to hide much.

But she went into politics, and she kept going back, even when it would have made more sense to stay out. And hence, it is difficult for me to see her as a docile, gentle lady beleaguered by her circumstance.

          1. If I may interject,

re: “Politics is a cesspool of filth”

Politicians are the least trusted by the public. This is what opinion polls around the world say. Doctors, in contrast, are most trusted. Lawyers are not trusted either. Writers and reporters are ranked more trustworthy than politicians and lawyers, most certainly.

Yet Dapsters go around dementedly defending their evangelical politicians as if their YBs are as pure as driven snow.

Hannah Yeoh is a politician, lawyer and preacher all rolled together. The way her defenders viciously attack her critics indicates that these DAP supporters are truly unhinged.

          2. orangkampung,

I wrote 4 short articles n published thru my friend’s blog (eddy). being a pensioner I did them during my spare time which i hv plenty n 2 put on record happenings so that my kids n insya’allah grand kids will know a bit more abt me.

            those articles r
            1) rayuan khas utk dtn sri wan azizah

            2) pandangan yg tidak d undang (meant 4 pm najib after meeting tun m)

            3) memperingati mei 69 (n eye witness account)

            4) hari2 terakhir tun razak d London (personal experience)

met tun m again 1 mth ago. a lot 2 write. will also try n share efforts that I hv taken 2 reconcile both pm najib n tun.

    2. Nobody will forget this best actress.. She is so talented. Anwar is nothing without her and her father.

  4. Hallelujah..praise to the 3 in 1 gid and the torture weapon…

Next to see Azmin Ali kill off the istana segambut dynasty..

The istana segambut dynasty soap opera has beeen slowww and boring since the Kajang move.

I always wonder did izzah divorce so get she could get into azmin alis underpants just in case daddys bribe to the judges fell short of mahathir’s..koh3

  6. Run off to Turkish Embassy, refused to cooperate. During trial, witnesses not called to prove alibi. Refused to testify as a sworn witness in the witness box to evade cross-examination. Place, date and time of sodomy – caught on CCTV. DNA sample – perfect match. Withdrew defamation suit against Saiful.

As a Muslim, last but not least, Anwar refused to swear by the Quran to clear his name.

Verdict: clear as crystal – GUILTY!

    1. ‘As a Muslim, last but not least, Anwar refused to swear by the Quran to clear his name’.

if you are talking about sumpah laknat/mubahalah, pls read surah ali-imran ayat 61 again. it tells us in what situation can we only be permitted to apply and ‘it takes two to tango’ is one of the conditions. cheers!
      .

        Surah Al Imran ayat 61..

“pls read surah ali-imran ayat 61 again. it tells us in what situation can we only be permitted to apply and ‘it takes two to tango’ is one of the condition”??

I cant see the relevance of this ayat 61 surah Al Imran with your mention of it takes two to tango.. cheers me up please!!!

        1. dear Ibni Ismail, i do not know whether this thread is appropriate to delibrate the verse in question. so Helen, minta permisi disini untuk menerangkan secara ringkas apa yg dimaksudkan dgn kalimah ‘it takes two to tango’.

anak2 kami, perempuan2 kami & diri2 kami (satu pihak) serta anak2 kamu, perempuan2 kamu & diri2 kamu (satu pihak yg lain). bolehkah sumpah laknat/mubahalah (swearing in the face of divine retribution) dilakukan oleh hanya satu pihak?

‘Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is’ (Ali-Imran-59).

the above verse is to explain “kemudian sesiapa yang membantahmu mengenainya, sesudah engkau beroleh pengetahuan yang benar”.

ada cerita disebalik turunnya ayat 61 tersebut. trust you are cheered bro. tq in advance Helen for giving me space.

          1. Pardon me sirs, allow me to offer some inputs…surah ali imran verse 61 is not the appropriate verse to apply to anwar ibrahim. it is not about sumpah laknat.

the more relevant injunction is….can’t remember the surah’s name & verse number…but it’s about a man accusing his wife of adultery. so, Allah’s command was for both to swear their innocence 4 times each. the 5th oath says; “if i lie & my spouse is truthful, the curse of Allah will be upon me”.

Helen….didn’t know you are a rainbow fan. rainbow of the dio reign has always been one of my favourite rock groups.

            1. Finally someone clicked on the YouTube. Yes, Dio has a voice that Ritchie Blackmore said sent a chill up his spine (when the former sang the latter’s compositions).

People are complex and sometimes surprise you in their taste for songs.

              1. Btw, it is the Doogie White version which I uploaded in my sidebar.

The Dio version here. The Scorpions did a tribute recording for Dio, here.

I recommend Candice Night’s cover, here.

            2. it’s sura an-nur verses 6-9. still, it takes two to tango. wud the civil court throw out the case if both of them took the oath at same time & same place, meaning it’s recognized and admissible? the case (sodomy) did not meet the conditions of the verses. pihak pendakwa ada bukti kejadian itu berlaku & pihak pembela pun ada bukti ia tidak berlaku. the key word here is bukti.

anyway, my fav kumpulan batu (goncang?) are ‘kalajengking’ & ‘ungu dalam’ – (angin bertukar & asap (merokok) diatas air).

              cheers again.

    2. Setuju dengan Mamamia! Enough is enough. Puak-puak CIA tak payah nak buat-buat heran!

      Shafee Abdullah summed it best!

‘This judgment brings to an end seven years of court time during which nine judges, and scores of lawyers, Anwar alone had (14 lawyers in the Federal Court, but in all about 20 lawyers cumulatively at all levels) occupying many thousands of hours, have exhaustively looked at every detail of the evidence in this case from beginning to end. The total 9 judges do not include the judges who presided in interlocutory appeals.

I know that justice has finally been done, so I am professionally satisfied with the result today. But it gives me no pleasure – a young man’s life has been wrecked, changed forever. Worse still, without anonymity, the victim was put through seven days of courtroom cross-examination and all that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s team could throw at him. So even the process of justice added to his suffering.

Yet Anwar Ibrahim himself chose to give no more than a statement from the dock. Unlike his victim, he refused cross-examination.

  7. Looks like some people from the opposition lost their cool and tweeted things that attracted the attention of the IGP for sedition.

Strange that they were so angry when just not long ago Anwar warned that him going to prison would mean victory for PKR next general election. At least we would find out if PKR would still win Permatang Pauh soon. On the other hand he expressed confidence that he would be acquitted also, so I guess it’s probably all trash talk then.

The ones who tweeted like Zunar, Rafizi and Nurulizzah definitely maligned the Malaysian judiciary, implying the verdict was at the behest of the BN government. I think the pro opposition news portals would follow suit, though not implicitly, rather sneakily and in an indirect way, they are good at that.

Rather vindictive. Not to mention sweeping in general. In my opinion the judiciary had given enough wins to the opposition in cases involving them it makes me think they are as aligned to the opposition as the bar council is. In fact I thought that Anwar had a good chance to escape jail.

Well with them having that kind of attitude, if you support the opposition you need to bow to their every whims and fancies, or else you would suffer as much as any of their enemies they wish to bring down.

IMO Hadi from PAS won’t be safe for long as well. Makes me wonder who really calls the shots in Pakatan and would later benefits from all this.

    1. re: “I think the pro opposition news portals would follow suit, though not implicitly, rather sneakily and in an indirect way, they are good at that.”

Yup, they’re sneaky alright. Like this story angle – ‘PMO’s swift reaction to verdict raises eyebrows’ @ http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/288860.

re: “Well with them having that kind of attitude, if you support the opposition you need to bow to their every whims and fancies, or else you would suffer as much as any of their enemies they wish to bring down.”

Absolutely. They have the “You’re either with us or against us” vindictive attitude.

From the dock just now, after hearing the verdict delivered, Anwar accused the judges that they “have chosen to be on the dark side”.

If you don’t favour them, they they will make a 180-degree turn to portray you as syaitan. Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim has stories to tell about this.

    2. “Makes me wonder who really calls the shots in Pakatan and would later benefits from all this.”

You don’t have to wonder for long. No doubts about it. The numero uno in Pakatan is non-other than the old, old, old man of Dap himself. Sometimes they call the shots directly and other times they do it circuitously, but they always call the shots.

      1. orangkampung,

The one calling the shot is Kit siang. And DAP. The self styled dictator will do nothing less.

As for PAS, it is still angry at DAP. But as its hatred towards UMNO is much greater, PAS is willing to tolerate insult from DAP.

        1. ‘But as its hatred towards UMNO is much greater, PAS is willing to tolerate insult from DAP.’

Tu yang kena fitnah dengan penyakit PASMA tu kut?

          1. Islam1st,

Hadi of course is much vilified by DAP. But as the cardinal focus of PAS is to dethrone UMNO, he too until today is willing to be insulted. I believe the principle is “tak apalh kena kena hina macam kita ni haram jadah. yg penting kita tumbangkan UMNO”.

They will trade insult. PAS will object to local election poll and DAP will not accept Hudud. But they are willing to take the objection so long it helps them to bring down UMNO.

            1. I still remember very vividly nik aziz saying many, many years ago…”kalau umno melaksanakan islam, kita akan bubarkan pas sebab matlamat kita bukan kuasa tetapi menegakkan islam”. but the lyrics have changed now.

since PR feel so confident of capturing power, the matlamat is to “tumbangkan umno” even though umno has lately become islam friendly to a certain degree. so, nik nik aziz hypocrisy is now exposed.

pas’ matlamat is power not islam, but in so doing, they have stooped so low that the leaders have become more hina than anjing kurap. a scenario so bizarre that i’m still in a state of disbelief [of what pas leaders have turned into-totally devoid of honour].

Glad you are back Helen, sooner than I had expected.

              1. re: “Glad you are back Helen, sooner than I had expected.”

Perfect timing for a bunch of Hanana Bananas.

  8. As a mum, Alhamdulillah syukur… tht Saiful was a victim Anwar MUST be brought to justice, sad tht it is only 5yrs.. and to those abused young generations sexually manipulated by their own bosses.. next time be as brave. Syabas Saiful.. terhutang budi tak terhingga.

Special tabik to TS Shafie.. “love you for a job well done”.

Saw video clip and noticed most of Anwar’s supporters muka2 macam “pendatang2 baru turun Tongkang” aje?

    1. Strange bunch these Pakatoons. I noticed there are some who still say a 60 year old can’t penetrate a young person. Is it true that once you reach 55, one totally retires ones sex organs.

Pakatoons want to fight for KeAdilan? Rape victims don’t need justice is it? (In this case Saiful)

      Twisted logic these Pakatoons.

  9. Agree with Rina. If you read the trending tweets, about 80 per cent supporting Anwar and kutuk-ing govt seem to be non-Malays. Very seditious and racist comments, too. Also contempt of court. Let’s see if authorities act against them.

Saw the BBC (if I’m not mistaken) report where the journo said Anwar told him he would read the “whole works of Shakespeare” if he was sent back to jail. Wanted to laugh! Anwar is such a pseud and so full of BS.

Suggest he should read the Quran and bertaubat, instead of trying to show off. He still thinks he can impress people by name dropping and peppering his speeches with quotes.

    1. Squire we know you well enough to know that you are not into Shakespeare but some kind of Dick end … (Restricted to those who have been ravaged by his unconscienable realpolitik for the las thirty years).

  10. Really sick just to see the same and same things happening…

All politics. I am tired of the politics of Malaysia. I personally think that no parties which exist on the country should govern the country anymore. And Pakatan stop brainwashing(Although, not possible), and some of UNMO MP’S should stop touching the racial issues.

Really tired about this but still need to listen it…

Really? Do you really care Pakcik Sam? Tapi apsal kat Thailand, for the sake of ‘pivot asia’ whatever that means, Pakcik Sam tutup sebelah mata? Yingluck dan Military Junta apa cerita??

Agree. I can’t imagine one, that age, having carnal intercourse either!

    1. Here is another oh I had sex but I am innocent
      http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-31318120

I had sex but only 12 times.

“Ex-IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who denies charges of pimping, has told a court in northern France that he took part in only a few rare sex parties.

He said prosecutors had greatly exaggerated the frequency of his “licentious evenings”. There had only been 12 in three years, he said.

Mr Strauss-Kahn is accused of helping procure sex workers for a prostitution ring based at a hotel in Lille.

He has argued that he did not know the women were prostitutes.”

No. No prostitutes. I’m an irresistible lover. I attract women like a magnet. These women raped me. Don’t blame me. I’m born this way.
      Bs!

Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing.
