Sebabnya Team Anwar gelar anak guam mereka “tahanan politik”

Kenapa kem ketum asyik mahu melalak tentang “konspirasi politik”?

Cuba anda tengok pada loyar-loyar yang membela Anwar Ibrahim. Ada banyak politikus di kalangan mereka. Sebab tulah istilah “politik” tak boleh nak lekang dari bibir.

Team Pendakwa

Muhammad Shafee Abdullah yang mengetuai pasukan pendakwaan dalam rayuan kes liwat Anwar bukannya seorang politikus.

Beliau dibantu Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria, iaitu timbalan ketua bahagian pendakwaan (operasi) bahagian pendakwaan Jabatan Peguam Negara.

Para peguam pendakwa raya lain adalah kakitangan kerajaan dan bukan ahli politik.

Biar kita lihat pada Team Anwar pula.

  1. Anwar’s lawyers are a bunch of misfits. A disgrace to the esteem profession. They are more suitable for the circus.

Loud mouth but empty head. They could not distinguish between facts and make up stories. I wish all of them, Bar Council President and the great lawyer for liberty rot in hell….

  2. Helen,

  3. I still remember how prabowo fought tooth n nail 2 declare d recent Indonesian presidential election as null n void bcos he lost d popular votes. he employed not less than 10 top gun lawyers 2 fight his case. I m pretty sure those lawyers were paid handsomely n what is more important is d reward they will surely reap if prabowo were 2 become president.

it is d same with Anwar. I m pretty sure he has a lot of money at his disposal n can pay 4 all d legal expenses. even though most of his Muslim lawyers hv deserted him due 2 religious concerns, these ‘political’ lawyers will b rewarded handsomely if it is fated anwar becomes d pm. and they r still dreaming that the day will b sooner rather than later.

it is said that d power of incumbency is almost limitless. if ever there is a ‘political conspiracy’ ( which I doubt), in politics it is quite acceptable 4 as long as u can legitimately capitalize on yr opponent’s weaknesses.

d same goes wth pm najib. if he decides 2 fight it out if he is being forced out of office pls do not expect those forces that hv taken over power 2 not capitalize on his weaknesses. so it will b just foolish of him to do that.

say what u may. anwar is soiled goods. d non muslims may still think that it is ok 2 hv a convicted sodomite 2 b their leader but it is n emphatic no no 4 good muslims ( n may b good Christians). anwar shld just fade away from d Malaysian political scene. that is d best gift that he can contribute towards his family n Malaysians at large.

the late karpal has mentioned that ‘anwar has created enough trouble 4 d country. anwar must repent’ (anwar mesti bertaubat).

    1. Abdul rahman noor,

“….it is said that d power of incumbency is almost limitless….”

      Let us revisit another scenario.

Tun Ghaffar Baba was the Deputy Prime MInister from 1986 to 1993. Just a year before 1993 Anwar went touring Malaysia and often gave unsolicited statement that he would not challenge Tun Ghaffar for Deputy President of UMNO post.

What Anwar did was to create curiosity on the coveted post. He wanted the Presidency of UMNO’s post actually. But in order to become President of UMNO( and PM), he must be deputy President of UMNO first.

So, he went on and on reminding people how he viewed Tun Ghaffar as a father. Nobody asked him. He just said again and again, as a signal to UMNO leaders.

Tun Ghaffar Baba was a humble man. He was hurt when Anwar openly challenged him. Tun Ghaffar could have resisted and created a scene to defend his position. And no one would have blamed him. Tun Ghaffar , being incumbent, could use his influence to defend his position.

But he let go. He did not make his dissapointment as UMNO’s problem. and that is the hallmark of a great man.

“berbeza benar dengan Anwar yg jadikan masalah dia dengan saiful sebagai masalah negara”

      1. shamshul anuar,

d situation between d late tun ghaffar n anwar was quite different. if I m not mistaken pak sheikh was then d finance minister n he managed 2 bribe all d div heads 2 nominate his name n tun only managed 2 get a solitary nomination.

tun ghaffar’s withdrawal from contesting was a foregone conclusion. pak sheikh was so immensely powerful at that juncture that he could hv easily defeated even tun m if he decided 2 go 4 d no 1 position.

anwar was d one who brought in money politics in a big way into umno. according 2 d late tan sri megat anwar had amassed abt rm 3 bill war chest 2 take on tun m in d next umno assembly . thank god it did not happen bcos he was unceremoniously sacked .

in d present context it is d incumbent fighting anwar (a person wth money but wth no real power). thus d handicap is too big 4 him 2 surmount leaving d powers that b 2 really capitalize on his weaknesses.

        1. re: “anwar (a person wth money…)”

So his big team of lawyers must all be getting paid even bigger money.

And that’s why they’re so intent on menegakkan benang basah – “trumped up charges” lah, “political prisoner”/”prisoner of conscience lah”, “character assassination” lah, “unfair trial”/”injustice” lah …

and then attacking the judges and Shafee some more. But can turn around and demand independence of the judiciary. That’s rich coming from these Pakatan people! (in both senses of the word – literal and idiomatic).

          1. To these bunch of “antinomian” lawyers:

            – “It’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.”

            – “In law it is good policy to never plead what you need not, lest you oblige yourself to prove what you can not.”

((Abraham Lincoln, 16th US President and Attorney at Law))

            – “The intoxication of power rapidly sobers off in the knowledge of its restrictions and under the prompt reminder of an ever-present and not always considerate press, as well as the kindly suggestions that not infrequently come from Congress.”

            – “I love judges, and I love courts. They are my ideals, that typify on earth what we shall meet hereafter in heaven under a just God.”

((William Howard Taft, 27th US President (1909–1913) and later the tenth Chief Justice of the United States (1921–1930), the only person to have served in both these offices))

    2. re: “I m pretty sure those lawyers were paid handsomely n what is more important is d reward they will surely reap if prabowo were 2 become president.”

His lawyers should come back to Earth. Anwar will never become PM. His political career is over.
