Wong Chun Wai on Taman Medan: Ignorant, prejudiced bigots

Wong Chun Wai’s column today in The J-Star is titled, ‘No room for intolerance‘. I’ve excerpted parts of his article below and reproduced the paragraphs in red italics.

My own comments on Chun Wai’s views follow.

Wong Chun Wai (WCW): “Like most Christians in this country, I am sad rather than angry over the protest staged by about 50 people demanding the removal of a cross at a church in Taman Medan in Selangor.”

Helen Ang (HA): Like Hannah Yeoh’s staged sorrow …

“Barbaric !” – Guan Eng on Taman Medan protesters

Umno Selangor leaders are “barbaric” to force a church to take down its cross, said Lim Guan Eng in his press statement on April 20 – see below.

Papa Dapster called the protest, which he alleged was led by Umno Selangor against the Taman Medan church, a “disgraceful act of barbarism”. Continue reading ““Barbaric !” – Guan Eng on Taman Medan protesters”

Who’s the bad guy in Taman Medan? THINK DEEPER

“50 people took it upon themselves to resort to thuggery,” said the NST editorial today on the Taman Medan incident concerning the church cross.

NST considered the protest as one deserving of the label “mindless acts of hatred and intolerance” as well as demonstrating “a regrettable level of religious tolerance among Malaysians”. Continue reading “Who’s the bad guy in Taman Medan? THINK DEEPER”

Sell J-Star to DAP for one ringgit, MCA urged

Regular commenter zack suggested @ 2015/04/23 at 7:30 am: “You are right Helen. In fact MCA should sell it at nominal fee of RM1 to DAP.” Another reader albi commented @ 2015/04/23 at 11:04 am:

“Just like Hannah Yeoh I really pity MCA and Gerakan. To fight against this DAP propaganda machinery and regain the Chinese support is certainly no easy task.”

Albi is alluding to the ‘pity’ that Madame Speaker feels for Gerakan and MIC. feel very sorry for MIC hannahyeoh Continue reading “Sell J-Star to DAP for one ringgit, MCA urged”

Checklist: Description of a BN voter

What they (Pakatan supporters) think of us

– If you voted for BN in the last general election, you must be a village idiot living in the kampung (in the eyes of the opposition follower).

– You are (in their mind) an unproductive citizen who doesn’t qualify to pay income tax.

– You’re someone who mooches on subsidies and are quite contented to live on crutches (or so they believe). village idiot Continue reading “Checklist: Description of a BN voter”

J-Star reporter @ Taman Medan: “Who gives you the right to claim this land as Muslim land?”

Reporters are supposed to be neutral and objective. In the Nest of Evangelistas, however, some of them clearly take sides, and are confrontational and provocative instead.

The J-Star reporter Nicholas Cheng came close to being attacked by the group of angry demonstrators at the Taman Medan church in Petaling Jaya. Continue reading “J-Star reporter @ Taman Medan: “Who gives you the right to claim this land as Muslim land?””

MCA more DAP than DAP in Taman Medan church cross controversy

Has MCA ever shown even an iota of interest to try and understand why the cross is making Malays so uncomfortable?

Can the MCA comprehend in the slightest why the Malays are angry over the attempted robbery of kalimah Allah and the aggressive Christianization push? Continue reading “MCA more DAP than DAP in Taman Medan church cross controversy”

Si Ratu

The Chinese are solidly united whereas Malays are split – PAS Malays against Umno Malays, Umno Malays against PKR Malays, Pasma Malays against pro-ulama Malays, pro-Tun Malays against pro-Najib Malays and vice versa.

The video below is like the DAP mega rallies. This was the Chinese mood in May 2013 during the election campaign that generated the tsunami.

Reason the Chinese eat dog and cat meat

A reader ‘anakmelayu’ commented @ 2015/04/18 at 9:12 pm: “Truly disgusting … I just can’t fathom why they choose to eat these kinds of things? Yucks!!” on my post ‘Half a dozen Chinese restaurants closed after dog meat found in kitchen‘.

I believe the Chinese eat dog and cat because they’re “easily confused” when one thing closely resembles another, for example because a cat can sometimes look like roast chicken.

Permatang Pauh: Aiyoh! MCA tipu Umno lagi

Continue reading “Permatang Pauh: Aiyoh! MCA tipu Umno lagi”

Tun-PM battle royale will hand Putrajaya over to DAP

With a mere two percent Malay vote swing coupled with five percent Chinese vote swing, Pakatan will snatch 22 Parliament seats from the BN. This will put Pakatan and BN at a dead heat with each side holding 111 seats. See results, http://undi.info/2013p/parlid|-2|2|-5|5|0|0|0|0|0|0|0|0

Add another two percent Christian vote swing and BN will be kicked out of Putrajaya.

DAP in charge of all

‘Melayu Lama’ is currently trending in my blog. See screen capture of my blog stats for 16 April 2015, i.e. today, on Melayu Lama’s piece. The reason for a spike in accessing the article is due to it being discussed somewhere in Facebook.

Coincidentally, I had hosted this particular write-up by the Malay blogger – see caricature of him (below) – exactly two years ago on 16 April 2013. So it’s a walk down memory lane on a second ‘anniversary’.

Hudud: PAS tolong jawab pertanyaan Tun

Dulu PAS memetik surah al-Maa’idah 8 beserta surah an-Nisaa 135.

Dua beranak ditahan ludah, tampar anggota polis

I respectfully beg to disagree with Tun today

Dr Mahathir said today in Che Det that Najib’s leadership in Selangor was ineffective.

Actually if Muhyiddin or Zahid or Hisham had been in charge of Selangor during the last general election, the result for BN would still not have been any better.

Similar to the situation in Kota Setar in the 1969 general election, the problem is the Chinese and their anti-establishment amok. Continue reading “I respectfully beg to disagree with Tun today”

Dear Tun, an open letter

Need to amputate MCA before the Chinese party causes BN to lose election

I share your fear of BN losing the coming election. If BN loses, it is the DAP that will come to power. My worry about the DAP is what they do to people. I view the evangelical party as Bintang Lima. History has shown me what the Bintang Tiga did.

Part 2: Najib’s Q & A only giving more ammo to Tun

In The J-Star front page caption box today, Si Gunting Dalam Lipatan quoted Najib Razak as saying:

“1MDB’s assets are larger than its liabilities. So in very simplistic terms, if 1MDB were to be wound down tomorrow, the company would still have some assets and and money left even after paying off its debts.”

Such a clueless and callous statement from the PM! Continue reading “Part 2: Najib’s Q & A only giving more ammo to Tun”
