“So I am now being criticised by a Chinese columnist for wearing head scarf when I attended a buka puasa event in the mosque recently. Let me say this again, extreme views exist in every faith & race. Malaysians who want to move this country forward must reject such extreme views. I joined politics to fight against such mindset & I will not apologise for my stand.”
Bah sesiapa yang mengkritik Hannah mesti “ekstremis”
Puan Speaker menuduh Lim Fang, seorang penulis ruangan pojok akhbar Sin Chew, sebagai “berpandangan melampau” hanya kerana beliau mempersoalkan sama ada wajar atau tidak ketrampilan Adun evangelista tersebut itu yang beriya-iya menggayakan fesyen tudung.
Ada juga peminat Hannah yang berpendapat bahawa Sin Chew adalah sama dungu dengan si tolol-si tolol (“moron”) Isma dan Perkasa.

Sudah lebih tujuh tahun Hannah turun naik masjid tetapi sayangnya YB Jerusubang masih belum lagi dikurniakan nur cahaya untuk menyinari perjalanannya menuju ke arah kebenaran Allah s.w.t.
Kenapa itu?
Dalam bulan Ogos 2010 pun pernah seorang Tok Khatib di Masjid Menora, Tasik Gelugor mendoakan dalam solat Jumaat supaya Papa Dapster Lim Guan Eng memeluk Islam. Doanya itu masih belum termakbul. Mungkin Tuhan lebih mengetahui.
Apapun, mari kita sama-sama mendoakan supaya hati Mama Dapster Hannah boleh digerakkan untuk mendekati Islam.
Menaruh harapan bahawa hati kaum Tionghua semakin cair terhadap Islam
Namun sekarang ini, sentimen di kalangan Cina DAP nampaknya telah banyak ber’UBAH’.
Mereka sudah berada di kalangan kelompok masyarakat yang kuat mendokong tertib tutup aurat. Pegangan mereka kini yang pro-tudung terserlah menerusi pembelaan mereka yang berdegar-degar ke atas Hannah Yeoh.
Hannah Yeoh: “Saya bukan anti-Islam”
Penyokong DAP pun tidak anti-Islam lagi. Mereka bertukar selera dan kuat menyokong pemakaian tudung dah.
Media sosial pro-pembangkang memaparkan reaksi yang boleh dikatakan ‘meletup’, dengan zahirnya sokongan mencurah-curah bagi pendirian Hannah mahu selalu pakai tudung tatkala melawat masjid.

Sebaliknya si kolumnis Sin Chew malang yang mengkritik Hannah itu dibelasah kow-kow dan siap diugut oleh para peminat Puan Speaker beserta disuruh untuk berambus (“fuck off”).
Melambak-lambak komen Facebook yang dilemparkan terhadap Lim Fang oleh pengikut Cina Hannah – “Find out who the Chinese columnist is, we shall all boycott this freak”.

Gara-gara kritikannya tentang tudung Hannah, Lim Fang dituduh para Dapster sebagai rasis, berpemikiran sempit, radikal yang teramat sangat, “anjing MCA” dan “Chinaman” bertaraf kertas jamban.

Umno pula yang diseret masuk kontroversi
Malah Lim turut didakwa sebagai penulis upahan yang digaji oleh rasis-rasis Umno (lihat atas).
Orang yang mengkritik Hannah juga digelar bodoh, monyet, duduk di hutan, cemburu, bitchy, dsb

Cina tidak lagi anti-Islam
Nyata sekali bahawa masyarakat Cina berjaya dididik oleh evangelista DAP untuk menyenangi tudung dan mereka akan akur kepada cara pemakaian yang lebih bersopan santun.
Ketika Teresa Kok berkata kod pakaian JPJ ibarat etika masjid, beliau sebenarnya berniat murni dan mahukan tutup aurat dijadikan pedoman bagi semua tidak kira bangsa dan agama.
Saya rasa mulai sekarang kaum Tionghua juga akan bersangka baik dengan mualaf-mualaf Cina seperti Ridhuan Tee, Firdaus Wong, Alifah Ting dan Felixia Yeap.
Dan mari kita sama-sama berdoa supaya Hannah Yeoh akan masuk Islam sejurus selepas ini. Sudah tujuh tahun kami menunggu. Dah lama tu.

Meanwhile, there is the Taylor Swift “The 1989 World Tour” concert in Singapore in November to look forward to.
We must look out for all the tudung-wearing females in the audience there then – to see if they will be led “astray” by Taylor Swift’s costumes (showing her knees and her midriff, navel and cleavage) and by any skimpy costumes that may be worn by her back-up singers and dancers!
And since Singapore is one of the two stops in Asia (the other being Shanghai) for the Taylor Swift concert, there could be a fair number of her fans from Malaysia coming down for the show.
Including, quite possibly, tudung-wearing teenyboppers, teenagers, young adults and not-so-young indulgent parents of the aforementioned – the parlous state of the ringgit versus the Singapore dollar notwithstanding.
I wonder if the moral police from Malaysia will be patrolling on the sidelines of the Singapore concert to nab and shame the errant concert goers?

The Chinese columist was not the only one commenting on Hannah’s tudung and mosque stunt. You should read what the Malay FB page, Boikot Barangan Cina DAP said about her.

Every Chinaman’s deepest nightmare. Groups like this were born after the Massiimo-Gardenia bread spat. Before the spat, there were no groups that promote Bumiputera economic independence away from the Chinese. Although these groups are small (and goodness – for the Chinese businessman) they do create a voice.
Don’t underestimate groups like BBCD. Provocation of Malay groups (like what is happening in Penang especially now with the UMNO signboard saga and PAS-DAP saga) will fuel the popularity of such groups. Remember this incident earlier this year?

It would really be a real Nightmare on Ah Chan Street for the Chinese businessman. 60% of the Malaysian consumer market is a very big number. It is market share of the Chinese businessman that will shrivel instead.
If you read BBCD carefully, you would see the FB owner identifying which businesses are real Malay businesses and which are Chinese fronts. It would really be bad for the Chinese businessman that the readers actually follow the recommendations of the FB page.
In short, don’t underestimate consumer groups like BBCD, least poke fun at them.
