Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM) engaged the police and from that engagement, the Muslim consumers NGO released the statement below which is a fair and illuminating account of what transpired at Low Yat. So something positive and constructive had come out of the engagement.

Utusan cautions against dismissing a repeat of May 13

Awang Selamat said yesterday in Utusan’s Sunday edition:

“Dalam insiden Plaza Low Yat, ia membawa risiko berlakunya satu rusuhan kaum besar. Bayangkan nasib rakyat terutama yang tidak berdosa jika negara ini ditimpa rusuhan kaum sebagaimana 13 Mei 1969.
