Shall we revisit this Helen?

Datuk Tong is an Anwarista after all. He has learned.
allabih | July 25, 2015 at 8:51 am
The point is the sleazy minister did say to listen to “the message…”
Helen Ang | July 25, 2015 at 8:59 am
Aiyoh, why lah you don’t like Datuk Rahman? :D
Najib appears to be really beleaguered and it does not seem that he has many capable panglima perang at his side. ARD is one of the rare ones.
If DSN survives this, then I foresee a meteoric rise for his lieutenants now fighting hard.
It’s not a bad thing for Sabah Umno leaders to step into the top tier. A regional balance would be good. I also hope Anifah Aman will come up. Perhaps next to Najib, he’s the most cool and collected (the upside of ‘elegant silence’).
allabih | July 25, 2015 at 9:04 am
I always welcome both sabahan and sarawakian, but be intelligent in your action. Thats all.
Helen Ang | July 25, 2015 at 9:11 am
Okay, I’m with you. Intelligence and discernment are good.
We’re having to put up with a lot of crap – Umno’s arrogance, gertak, rent-seeking, money politics, cluelessness and lack of direction among others.
Tapi janganlah kita memberontak sampai takat negara terbakar.
If the opposition come to power, they will be worse. Much, much worse.

There are quite a number of good UMNO politicians. I like Ehsanuddin(MP Kota Tinggi).
And I feel Mohd Hassan(MB of NS) understands Malays more than the current PM understanding of the very community that supports UMNO

re: “And I feel Mohd Hassan (MB of NS) understands Malays more than the current PM understanding of the very community that supports Umno”
The ‘nons’ (bukan Melayu, bukan Islam) need Najib because he’s an urbane cosmopolitan. He’s the last barrier standing between us and Malaysia becoming Tanah Melayu, Bumi Islam.
Some of you may be alright or even embrace the idea of this land reverting to status quo ante, i.e. the era pre-1915, but today’s reality is that there are seven million of us Chinese living here, not to mention Indians and a scattering of Lain-lain.
Tanah Melayu, Bumi Islam has no place for us under its sun.
I wish that the non-Malays and non-Muslims could have more wisdom and maturity. Like I’ve blogged in a previous post – make peace with Islam and do respect Malay sensitivities. Learn to bertolak ansur instead of trying to topple the Malay-led government and take over the country.
The evangelistas, however, are Islamophobic and always hitting out at their arch rival faith albeit most sneakily while the Dapsters are just knee-jerk belligerent. Sokongan padu yang diberikan kepada DAP (sarang evangelista) itu menempah maut.
If there’s no hope and no cure for the self-induced “colour” blindness of the Chinese, then I’m afraid it will be buku bertemu ruas.
Shamshul anuar | July 25, 2015 at 10:35 am
“he ‘s the last barrier…..”
The last election was an eye opener to both Malays and Malays. Slowly but surely the malays realise that they do not need the Chinese in order to form governments. All states in Peninsular won by BN are actually worn by UMNO. And UMNO alone can form the governments in such sates like Perak, Kedah, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Pahang, Johor, Perlis, Trengganu.
UMNO actually has given up hope on securing future non Malay supports. Only Najib is still hopeful. Others have learnt the lesson. Despite giving the moon and the sun to please them. Chinese has abandoned UMNO.
Jadi apa susah hati. Cina tak sokong pun kita masih menang pilihanraya.
But I must disagree with you. at no times UMNO despite being in power tries to eject the Chinese out. If that is the intention, UMNO has almost 6 decades to do so.
What happens is actually the Malays feel that if we can return back to days in 1950s, UMNO would not have agreed to massive citizenship conferment by Raja Raja Melayus.
Chinese in their over excitement in toppling UMNO(meaning wresting power from Malays) has pushed the Malays to extreme end. The Chinese simply refuses to listen to why Malay vehemently reject Allah” to be shared with Christianity.
Chinese poison minds by keep lamenting how they are treated like 3nd class citizens. Chinese in general do not see the need to integrate with others. Chinese politicians cry out loud refusing to fill out race column in official documents but stay put with Vernacular schools.
Media owned by Chinese twist and turn. And on every occasion make UMNO, Malays look bad. Chinese politicians paint UMNO(meaning Malays) as racist when the opposite is the truth.

I know, I know, I know, Shamshul.
The 90 percent Chinese who are the DAP support base may not but still, what do you suggest we all (Chinese) must do? We’re living here amidst the daily escalating anti-Chinese sentiments.
islam1st | July 25, 2015 at 11:16 am
‘We’re living here amidst the daily escalating anti-Chinese sentiments.’
Itu sendiri cari maa Helen. Kalau kata2 intellectual macam Syed Naquib al-Attas pun depa tak mau dengar, depa kata jumud dan kekampungan, maka the only way is the low yat way la kut, yes?
The Rithmatist | July 25, 2015 at 11:21 am
So, going back retrospectively, are you asking the then “Raja Raja Melayus” to apologise for their decision at that point in time?
Or are you going to push for Britain to apologise to the Malays in Malaysia for foisting this agreement on the “Raja Raja Melayus”?
You write about “escalating anti-Chinese sentiments”. Will these sentiments go as far as to bring the whole country down and make it an international pariah?
Maybe that’s when we will revert to being hewers of wood, drawers of water and tillers of soil!
Helen Ang | July 25, 2015 at 11:27 am
The Malaysian citizenship of the Chinese is iron-clad. Even talking about it – and taking the line of provocative, rhetorical questioning that you’re doing – is seditious according to the post-May 13 amendment of Sedition Act.
re: “Will these sentiments go as far as to bring the whole country down and make it an international pariah?”
The international community largely believes that multi-culturalism is dead. They will not side with an abrasive, unassimilated minority.

Re The international community largely believes that multi-culturalism is dead. They will not side with an abrasive, unassimilated minority
David Cameron and Angela Merkel said the same thing. Only fools buy into this false narrative of multiculturalism.
RINA | July 25, 2015 at 1:18 pm
Tak perlu mohon ampun itu semua Rithmatist.
If they don’t have confidence how Malaysia and their states are being handled, payah sangat nak discipline rakyat2 mereka kasi declare aje military rule, sampai situations stabilise.
Kita tunggu dan lihat.

re: I know, I know, I know,
No point ‘regreting’. Already happened. Learn to live it it. The non-Malays will always be in Msia.
Not only you have 90% Chinese not supporting Umno-BN, soon 90% Indian will abandon Umno-BN as well due to the infighting in MIC.
Helen Ang | July 27, 2015 at 8:55 am
re: “Not only you have 90% Chinese not supporting Umno-BN”
The trend is irreversible. And the anti-establishment Chinese won’t stop their provocation. It’ll just go on and on.
re: “soon 90% Indian will abandon Umno-BN as well”
Surely you can’t think that the Chinese and Indians heavily on one side (anti-BN) and the pro-Umno Malays on the other side is a healthy scenario.
bnm | July 27, 2015 at 1:32 pm
re: Surely you can’t think that the Chinese and Indians heavily on one side (anti-BN) and the pro-Umno Malays on the other side is a healthy scenario.
Does it mean that non-Malays need to vote (read as vote BN) according to the preference of the pro-Umno Malays? Otherwise, it will trigger racial conflicts?
Helen Ang | July 27, 2015 at 1:49 pm
I thought the DAP has always been harping that Malaysians need to vote for Check & Balance. What balance is there and who is to check (say, discourse and narrative in hanzi / Chinese script media) when 90 percent of Chinese support the DAP, and many rather rabidly.
The International Jew | July 25, 2015 at 10:04 am
Yeah they did, they misled him. The only surprise is that it took them this long to admit their misdeed. But this case involves just 2 men. What about the countless millions here in Malaysia that were misled in the last 2 general elections and are still being misled today ?
They are not just sneaky. They are full of deceit masquerading as salvation. You know, they tell people that the only hope, only salvation left for Malaysia is to vote them to power in elections. After 2 general elections, if people still have delusions, illusions, depending on who you ask, then good luck to these people, their supporters. I say good luck because they are going to need it. Hopeless people, I have long given up on these people.
It really amazes me that our PM is still willing to engage these people, the hate mob calling for his and his family’s blood, not to mention the blood of those who are sympathetic of the government, people like you and me and others here.
peacecombe | July 25, 2015 at 10:40 am
What is your measure of truth and what are your loyalties? If we look at the principal dilemma facing the nation, which is the chief steward building himself a tombstone for family and kin, and complete dereliction of duty and if the enemy is deception which is the foundation of this chief steward’s office and Dr Mahathir is the leading the fight for the truth and its democratic resolution, including using all helpful agents, what should our loyalties be?
Temple of Wisdom | July 25, 2015 at 12:02 pm
The people in The Edge only confessed cheating Justo after being exposed . So can you trust The Edge? For all we know they may be involved in altering details in the documents thus faking it. Knowing the people behind the Edge, nothing is impossible.
Never trust a cheat who twisted his words to condemn his victim to make himself a hero. That’s what that Tong K.O. is doing after being exposed.
RINA | July 25, 2015 at 1:44 pm
Agak berani juga dia confess openly that they actually intended to con the Swiss thief? Macam mana without getting any sort of payments this Swiss fella easily handed them the stolen documents?
Same person ke Chairman here?
islam1st | July 25, 2015 at 11:34 pm
Rina link kat atas tu tak hidup, yang ni ok
RINA | July 26, 2015 at 3:41 am
Tks for the link.
Laju dia confess yang dia sememangnya niat nak con the thief, betoi ke… what is USD2m to him ma? Caya ke tidak? Dah tu cepat2 pi serah the stolen properties kepada authorities, isssh ada yang tak kena nih! Itu Swiss company tak cekop dia ke?
A man of his standing, the Edge pulak tu pasai apa kalut mengelabah hebah satu dunia that he actually conned the thief. Eh he. Something just don’t fit in here, betoi tak Rithmatist and HH?
Figure 2million rasa coincidence juga.
Habis le, macam2 boleh jumpa nih!
