Ah Jib Gor and his free yellow lanterns

September 4, 2015 at 6:01 pm 30 comments

Najib Razak is giving away free lanterns – yellow ones – to the public in celebration of the Chinese mid-autumn festival.

The screen capture below shows Ah Jib Gor’s Facebook page.

Why colour the lantern yellow? The lanterns in the cartoon could have easily been in a more auspicious red (note that Chinese lanterns are traditionally and popularly red) or pink or lavender.

So why is the lantern illustrated on the Ah Jib Gor homepage yellow? Clue below.

Ah Jib Gor Chinese Facebook

Blast from the past

In the photo, the Queen of England is wearing a yellow dress. The flowers in her vases are yellow too.

Najib and Rosmah were granted an audience with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace, London on 14 July 2011. This was five days after the Bersih rally on July 9. There had been the global Bersih 2.0 rallies held in London too.

The Queen doesn’t always favour yellow flowers. For example, when the Queen greeted prime minister of Canada, Stephen Harper in the same palace reception room, the flowers in the vase were pink – see photo.

Back to the present

Regular commenter Mulan remarked @ 2015/09/04 at 3:07 pm, “After all the bombardment he got from the Bersih Chinese, why must be come up with this?” She is referring to the Ah Jib Gor Facebook’s free gift of lanterns.

Indeed.

Is Najib getting any thanks for his gesture?

Some Facebookers said they do not want a “donation” of a lantern but prefer a clean government. Other Facebookers reminded Najib that he’s not a Chinese (so why intrude into our cultural festivities).

Yellow River of Hate

What did you see in the many photographs and videos of Bersih 4.0?

I see an ethnic community that has been successfully and thoroughly indoctrinated to hate the regime. After all, the Bersih 4.0 rally’s main purpose was its call for the resignation of Najib Razak.

How did the Chinese get to be so brainwashed? In this instance, one can’t blame the bloga-bloga bangang Umno. They’re not operating in the Chinese-language social media nor the Chinese-language mainstream media.

The majority of the Umno bloggers don’t write in English either.

I see braind dead people

Ah Jib Gor has never chided MCA

Not too long ago, Najib chided his Umno bloggers as “bangang”.

In a situation like the PM’s yellow lantern FB page, there’s not much that the poor ‘bangang’ media operatives can do to defend Ah Jib unless they started reading and writing in Chinese.

What is the use of the Chinese-speaking, Chinese-reading, Chinese-writing MCA in the BN … somebody please tell me?

How come I’ve never heard Najib say that MCA is bangang? Actually this Chinese party is a lot worse than ‘bangang’.

Not only has MCA failed to counter the DAP from securing the mind and heart of 90 percent of the Chinese, MCA has actually been aiding and abetting the Chinese opposition. The Chinese BN party’s former president and his wife even attended Bersih!

BELOW: A J-Star past article on the mid-autumn festival; Can you see the DAP Ubah hornbill mascot wearing the Rocket symbol on the MCA newspaper page?

MCA bela J-Star Sarang Evangelista

Yup, the sneakiest of the venomous lot who are always twisting their poison-tipped scissors in the BN’s back are the scissorati. They get their salary from the highly profitable MCA-owned media company.

MCA controls an influential media empire but the BN is suffering from such an abysmal public perception.

Tun has accused Najib of adopting a ‘Cash is King’ policy, i.e. buying support with money.

Nonetheless from past experience, it looks like the Chinese will take whatever it is that Najib is giving – donations to Chinese schools and Chinese guilds, free lunches (makan busat), free yellow lanterns but still stick their middle finger.

Hooking up with the Global  Movement of Moderates, the J-Star is taking their ‘moderation’ (read: Malaysian Firster) programme into the campuses. EvangeliSTAR opinion pieces and reporting do not favour the BN.

Rather than being able to rely on its BN ally to guard Umno’s back against assailants, Umno has to instead watch its own back against being stabbed by MCA. With friends like MCA, who needs enemies?

People are watching his every step and move and he, being advised by some the “brightest” communications experts available, is still somewhere in bushland…

Najib, Najib apa nak jadi dgn engko ni…. YOU, Najib HAVE to go, soonest possible…

Is the DAP’s political funding any more halal than Najib’s political funding?

What about Bersih’s RM2.45 million donation? Maria Chin is not revealing the source.

What about the evangelistas? They’re very rich. They’re funded by foreign benefactors on top of collecting the 10 percent tithe from the flock.

The Chinese might not want the lantern from Najib but will they have any qualms taking free lanterns or soft toys (Ubah mascot) from the DAP, or free T-shirt, mineral water and lunch packet from Bersih/the Church?

Kak Helen, you got the mantra of Curi Curi Malaysia all wrong. It is machine free from BN because they cure suit racket so we must cure balk. But give as much as possible to DAP/Church/Bersih.

It would be take the free lantern and curse/burn it. That’s how the mantra goes.

You would notice that by now with Bersih 4.0, the Chinese are not scared to show their dissent. If you noticed the remarks posted on Ajib-ko’s FB that you screen capture, the commenters want to be seen. One called ko-ko one animal. I think these people want to be caught and in turn become martyrs. The last time there was pig calling was from Alvin Tan, broadcasting from USA are boasting of his BKT restaurant.

The Home Ministry banned the Bersih 4 shirt but even more people wore it. Even kids wore it to birthday parties. Many wore to Georgetown Festival. The logic is come and catch us. There are zillions of us and you want to throws the zillions into jail. (One Bersih supporter told me in the Kopitiam) The Bersih people pee and take pictures, step on photos and youtube. They want to be caught… they want the police to waste resources catching them.

The dissent is now very different.

            sama aje 2 X 5….

          Mulan,

Just as Chinese are no longer scared to wear “baju Bersih”, Malays too could not be bothered with Chinese anymore.

The last elections brought 2 extreme positions. Chinese totally abandon BN and UMNO more specifically. AND the existence of UMNO governments in all states that BN won.

The Dapster family – Grandpapa, Papa, Mama – all did not wear baju with the ‘Bersih 4.0’ slogan.

They’re scared they’ll be found guilty by the court of illegal activity and fined, and be disqualified from their DUN seats and consequently lose their precious Chief Minister and Madame Speaker positions.

To me MCA is either sleeping or wanting to be goody goody. They always talk about development, project this project that , helping this helping that for the people. They seemed to be out of tune with what is happening politically in the country.

The Gen Y don’t care about all these development shits you are talking. They are now singing and praying to their god in DAP. They are now all drunk in the poisonous indoctrinations of DAP’s propaganda of hatred for UMNO and BN.

So the question now is : What is MCA doing to counter the lies, twisted stories and all those hatred and communist adopted evil brainwashing methods being pumped every minute by their red bean army in the internet in Mandarin with the sole aim of dirtying the image of UMNO and BN. They have been doing that for years and becoming very evil and provoking recently after the abolishment of the ISA. MCA still sleeping or don’t know what to do? Resign and become teachers and lecturers if you want to be goody goody.
If you are scared, don’t be a politician.

LGE and LKS are very good in communist psychological warfare especially in drumming for support using sympathy and twisted sarcasm in their comments. Everything the govt. do or don’t do , they will turn it into a political issue and to their advantage.

Maybe Ah Jib Kor is surrounded by stupid political advisors or maybe some of the advisors are DAP infiltrated.Maybe. Strategically he is very ill-advised politically.

“After all the bombardment he got from the Bersih Chinese, why must be come up with this?”
Najib is only demonstrating his belief in “inclusiveness”, a tenet imbued in the consciousness of Malaysians by our father the Tunku. Najib is propagating the philosophy of “Unity in Diversity”, despite the wish of some of his party members (as during pre-independence days) to push for uniformity through assimilation.
I am surprised by his steadfastness. Being kind to people who are trying hard to ruin him. Is he trying to be in the same league as Buddha, Confucius, Jesus, Muhammad, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela…

      1. I thought that there’s a big difference between:
      a. a leader with supporters only behind him
      b. a leader totally surrounded by his supporters
And maybe … the above is not important at all lah …

      2. Najib needs Sabah/Sarawak MORE than they need him. So promises macam2 … but need to study first lah. Setiap kali study, kena ada jawatankuasa bla bla bla dilly dally bla bla bla and before we realise it, GE14 is over and everybody is looking at GE15.
      – with each promise fulfilled, it must be replaced with a new need; or he’ll lose grip over SS.
      – with each concession given, his successor will have lesser control over SS. So the decision made is not his alone …
This ‘promise vs support’ is never a straightforward case …

Ahhh … and itu RD punya cakap must be … (takpe lah, I sendiri censored). End of note.
