I’m upset with the tweet by @NajibRazak (below) depicting a cross on a heart.
I wish Najib’s social media admins were more sensitive about these things. Why keep hurting the feelings of BN voters?
Earlier we had the Ah Jib Gor Facebook admin – exhilarated over Bersih 4.0? – putting up a mid-autumn festival illustration on the PM’s official Chinese FB page that depicted yellow lanterns, when the traditional and popular colour for Chinese lanterns is red.
And now this.
Why must “Perkhidmatan Penjagaan Kesihatan” be represented by @NajibRazak using a heart icon coupled with a cross, tell me?
Yes, do continue with this kind of insensitivity and watch the Umno rural vote bank bleed to a debilitating anemia. This is simply suicidal when Najib’s political survival is already at stake.
Evangelism is a real – and not a perceived – existential threat.
China’s response to the rise and rise of the evangelistas is tangible and physical. The reaction by the Chinese authorities is to demolish hundreds of evangelical churches and remove close to a thousand crosses from church roofs over just the last year alone.
BELOW: Commentary by Norman Fernandez, ex-Johor DAP deputy chairman on Born Again Christians, in The Unspinners blog

China today has more Christians than it has card-carrying Communist Party members.
China is projected to be the country with the world’s biggest Christian population by the year 2030. The evangelical Christian ideology is spreading like a virus and Chinese people are highly susceptible to religious cult indoctrination.
Brainwashed sheeple behave in uncontrollable ways. Malaysia is witnessing a virulent spread of political Christianity. The Archibishop of Kuala Lumpur was photographed wearing a ‘Bersih 4.0’ T-shirt and taking part in the rally.
The Church supported Bersih. T-shirts with ‘Bersih 4’ logo were sold in the church compound last Sunday morning.
Come on, BN, buck up!
Has Najib and his Umno politburo internalized the fact that the biggest danger and most pressing threat faced by BN comes from the evangelical party?
Political Christianity is the latest love interest of our community, the Han community.
What do you think ?
I think the greedy DAP’s political Christianity is on course to clash with the long-existing political Islam.
The Chinese Ah Pek and Ah Soh – you can see them in the bottom left corner of the pix below – are going to be collateral damage.
I pity the non-Christian older generation Chinese who are being pawned by the DAP. Don’t you?
It proves yet again that if you give people a rope they will use that rope to hang themselves. It also helps that the DAP also happens to supply them with holy alcohol to facilitates the whole procedure. All is going according to plan. Pity the 10 per cent Chinese like you and me.
re: “Pity the 10 per cent Chinese like you and me.”
Unless they plan to mass migrate to Tasmania, the majority of the 6.3 million Chinese (i.e. the 90 percent oppo voters) will still be here in Tanah Melayu 2.0, and they will reap the hatred that the DAP evangelistas have sown.
It’s a bitter harvest. I hope the MCA top leadership will take their regret with them to the grave for their willful and sinful collusion with the DAP.
Too little too late …
‘Tanah Melayu 2.0’
Haha. Melayu Utara kata, pimai-pimai tangtu! Thank You DAP!
If that going to happen , they should be aware of the conclusion of their doing .
The prospect of greater power and even higher positions for the DAP evangelista leadership is worth the gamble for them.
It is the suckers who will pay the price.
“I think the greedy DAP’s political Christianity is on course to clash with the long-existing political Islam.”
Kak Helen, so long as we remain unaware that the politics of the accursed Iblis has invaded the community of the spiritual middle-way to breed confusion and intrigue … innocent lambs will be ravaged by the wolves of the world who ply on both sides of the divide they have purposely innovated.

“Worship Allah and consider no one equal to Him. Be kind to your parents, relatives, orphans, the destitute, your near and distant neighbours, your companions, wayfarers, and your slaves. Allah does not love the proud and boastful ones.” (Quran 4:36)
“Invite all to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who has strayed from His Path, and who receives guidance.” (Quran 16:125)

Saya dah kata Helen, AJG adalah projek jholow untuk musnahkan UMNO. Dari dalam that is.
Anyway, sure ke Helen, yang pergi Bersih 4 tu 50K max? Tengok video ni (tengok kat annie’s td) macam lebih je?? Ke lampu simbah yang warna kuning, so semua orang nampak macam bawa budaya kuning? Hehe.
Tapi setuju dengan JMD pasal ni.
‘With many bad examples to showcase Umno’s utter sycophancy towards a much maligned president, there is no way Umno can be appealing to the public anymore, let alone among the younger generation.’
And BTW Helen, ‘Do these people who sang Negaraku in earnest looked like they don’t love the country?’
Penyapu and DAP aside, mereka nampak patriotik Helen. Sorry la Helen, Melayu mudah lupa, mudah kena jual bila tengok bukan Melayu cakap Bahasa Kebangsaan, let alone nyanyi lagu Negaraku cam dalam video tu…tak pandai nak kiasu sebenarnya, I’ll buck up okay, hehe
Baju Merah boleh ke bawa ramai macam tu, dengan hijack daripada UMNO nanti??
re: “Saya dah kata Helen, AJG adalah projek jholow untuk musnahkan UMNO. Dari dalam that is.”
I’m still waiting for the oppo to prove ‘details’ of the relationship between PM and JL. Admittedly there is some kind of more than acquaintance, but what exactly? You got the lowdown?
re: “Anyway, sure ke Helen, yang pergi Bersih 4 tu 50K max?”
Cilisos calculates it at 67,564 at its peak. At other times, it may be a moving (dynamic) crowd or repeat protesters, i.e. Day One people staying overnight or returning for Day Two.

re: “Ke lampu simbah yang warna kuning, so semua orang nampak macam bawa budaya kuning? Hehe.”
The video makers appear to be backpedaling. Did you notice that they made many frames in the vidoe become black & white? Now they’ve become reticent in showing the yellow tide in all its (Chinese) glory.
re: “Tapi setuju dengan JMD pasal ni.”
I disagree. History will prove which bloggers made the right bet.
re: “With many bad examples to showcase Umno’s utter sycophancy”
There is “utter sycophancy” on both sides.
(a) Anwar is a convicted criminal – both of corruption (i.e. perversion of power in using his DPM position to try to silence Ummi Hafilda) and of sodomy. Yet the oppo supporters wanted/still want him to be PM.
(b) Lim Kit Siang has been ISA-ed twice for his destructive role in May 13 and 1987. Yet the sycophants treat him like the benevolent Father of Malaysian Malaysia.
(c) I’ve shown screenshot evidence scores of Twitter users complaining that @hannahyeoh blocked them from her Twitter timeline b’cos she’s a tyrant who doesn’t permit freedom of speech but there are loyar burok sycophants who tegakkan benang basah defending politicians like her who unjustifiably censor.
re: “towards a much maligned president”
More fool those in Umno who malign their president, esp. if the hypocrites have taken the allocations he provided. Otherwise they should source for their own funding.
Like this fella Pudin maligning The Prez. Some of the PM’s harshest double-faced critics have no honour. (I don’t pick fights with the PM’s critics who are ordinary members of the public. However if his critics are backstabbers like Saifuddin, then it’s time Najib excised the cancerous tumour.)

re: “there is no way Umno can be appealing to the public anymore”
Right, like the Love-Love-Love tudung-wearing evangelical party appeals to Malay-Muslims. Good luck in answering to your Maker.
re: “let alone among the younger generation”
Okay, this one is a fair comment.
Pemuda Umno is answerable as to why BN is flopping as compared to the allure of Dyana Sofya, Young Syefura and the young Malay DAP guys (not pin-up material so their names are not in neon lights).
Beliawanis MCA have complained since 2010 that @hannahyeoh and @imokman are “DAP Super Cyberbullies” but the MCA-owned media preferred to promote, publicize, whitewash and confer a glowing halo instead on the DAP evangelistas. MCA as owner of the media empire must be held accountable.
The pro-government Malay voters will decimate MCA in the coming election. Nobody will feel any regret over the MCA’s demise.
Do you know what your video link shows, islamist? Smooth and slick production values. DAP is very licik in their mastery of digital technology.
BN has only got 2-and-1/2 years left to reverse the political tide and the DAP’s pole position, and you lot still prefer shooting at your own (Najib’s) side despite the Touch-and-Go precarious situation?
Malays are your own worse enemy.
re: “And BTW Helen, ‘Do these people who sang Negaraku in earnest looked like they don’t love the country’?”
If you ask me whether DAP supporters are patriotic, my unequivocal answer is ‘No, they’re not patriotic’. This is my personal opinion, and of course debatable.
(They’re a lot like like that Singapore-dwelling fella you ask about the status of his passport.)
If you ask me why they sing, I’ll reply with a question – Why they wear tudung and visit the mosque?
re: “Penyapu and DAP aside, mereka nampak patriotik Helen.”
,) And the Hannah interns look like Muslimah alim.
re: “Sorry la Helen, Melayu mudah lupa, mudah kena jual bila tengok bukan Melayu cakap Bahasa Kebangsaan, let alone nyanyi lagu Negaraku cam dalam video tu”
Umno had definitely better buck up. Isma’s effectiveness can be a benchmark for the Parti Paling Tidak Apa.
re: “…tak pandai nak kiasu sebenarnya, I’ll buck up okay, hehe”
You’re a Tun supporter. What will you say if the authorities can successfully link him to Justo and Clare Rewcastle?

re: “Baju Merah boleh ke bawa ramai macam tu, dengan hijack daripada UMNO nanti??”
Baju Merah could be to Umno as what Baju Kuning is to DAP. But it doesn’t look like the Red Shirts Rally gonna take place.
The Cross must be a potent symbol that has put the fear of God into the Chinese Communist Party, or so it seems.
In spite of the CCP “crackdowns”, Christianity is growing in popularity in the PRC.
If it is an ephemeral phenomenon (the spread of Christianity in China), why would the PRC government go to the trouble of setting up an “official” Catholic Church in the country that has ordained it’s own bishops and priests without the approval of the Pope and the Vatican?
And so the “unofficial” Catholic Church in China continues to grow.
I don’t have the latest statistics for the number of Catholics in Malaysia, but anecdotal evidence from the baptisms every Easter suggest that a few hundred people are baptised into the Catholic faith in Malaysia every year.
And as for your preoccupation with the Cross as a religious symbol – what is it that elicits such atavistic reactions in you?
I have seen students in Catholic and Christian schools in Singapore wearing school uniforms and T-shirts with their school crests prominently displayed (and with the Cross as a part of the crests).
Are these students (of all races) being subtly “indoctrinated” by the “sneaky evangelistas”?
Or are Singaporean parents more tolerant and pragmatic about Catholic schools and mission schools in the republic?
While Ajib-ko is syok with his lanterns, this is what sells.

What are the hottest box trends this year?
Haih, Christian Proselytism 101 for those who STILL don’t know;
1) Identify a target for conversion. Can be a friend, relative, colleague, spouse, children, the poor, the sick, someone wealthy etc
2) Sneakily befriend target and attempt to invite them to a church function
3) Commence with brainwashing and emotional blackmail. Prey on their insecurities and give them false hopes and promises.
4) Conversion successful. Profit. ($$$)
5) Get new recruit to sign up other new recruits.
6) More profits. ($$$)
The strategies they deploy are not so different at all from modern day sales and marketing strategies. Particularly Multi Level Marketing. But far more sinister, since when religion became a business.
I’m quite interested in knowing what kind of ‘profit’ it is that you’re implying they are after. Care to clarify? Thanks bro.
Metaphorically speaking of course. A gain, an addition, an increase, an advantage etc. Nothing to do whatsoever with accounting or finance….. or does it?
In fact, there are many global Buddhist missionary outreach organizations which are economically well-to-do. Their goal is to preach the Buddha dharma of self enlightenment to all sentient beings caught up in the cycle of existential sangsara. But nowhere can there be an ideology of prosperity as a sign of divine approval!

re: “Has Najib and his Umno politburo internalized the fact that the biggest danger and most pressing threat faced by BN comes from the evangelical party?”
Najib Wolf of Wall Street and his in-group that worships manna are the internal threat to Barisan Nasional, symmetrical to the external threat from the prosperity evangelism of the Christian Zionists.
