Open burning of effigies only adds to the haze – MCA

The Red Shirts have no idea of environment hazard, chides MCA. Burning effigies in the open aggravates the haze, Ti Lian Ker, the party’s Religious Harmony Bureau chairman admonishes the Umno Kota Bharu pyromaniacs.

Lucky they only set ablaze two – Grandpapa and Papa Dapster – and not three effigies (as Mama was overlooked) or else there would have been more smoke. Furthermore the incineration of Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng and Hannah Yeoh, even if only in effigy-form, emits really toxic fumes.

Ti also takes to task the Red Shirts for their lack of safety awareness. They had stored inflammable liquid in a drinking bottle – see screen grab from the ‘Burn DAP Burn’ video.

And another thing, the fire starters were standing too close to the flames, Ti cautions. They could easily have gotten themselves singed.

Aside from the safety concerns cited, Ti also condemns the night-time torching of effigies saying it is a violent culture unacceptable to Malaysians. Such an act, according to him, reeks of “intimidation detrimental against public peace and security”.

The Red Shirts are like the Ku Klux Klan, he adds, and urges the authorities to “show zero tolerance towards any acts which hold racial and/or religious connotations or stoking such fires (and in this case, stoking fires literally)”.

Earlier the MCA leaders had been hitting the panic button. Now the DAP leaders are following suit.

DAP Christian Parliamentarian is scare-mongering

DAP Klang MP Charles Santiago claims the Red Shirts are turned Malaysia Day’s Sept 16 date into “a day of fear and terror”.

“The Chinese are terrified it will create another racial riot such as during May 13, 1969,” YB Santiago says in his press statement today.

“This has become a dangerous game. And one that has been used time and again by Umno, which is now sharpening its claws to strike, by creating fear among the masses,” he adds.

Kit Siang: I embrace all M’sians regardless of race

In his Malaysia Day message today, Kit Siang tells the country, “I want to state very clearly that in my nearly 50 years in politics, I had never fought for Chinese, but for Malaysians embracing all [the races]”.

He says the organizers have no right to hold a rally “designed to create racial distrust and animosity and to incite racial hatred, tension and conflict”.

Hannah Guan Eng

Guan Eng: Violent, dangerous, racists, extremists

Meanwhile, his son Guan Eng warns that the planned Sept 16 rally “might lead to violence”. He also wants BN to be held responsible if anything violent happens during or after the rally.

Speaking separately in a press conference on the burning of his effigy, the DAP sec-gen says the perpetrators are “racists and extremists” and that what they did was “dangerous”.

He adds that it shows “Barisan Nasional and Umno are bankrupt of ideas”.

HANNAH YEOH: “MIC & Umno troops using nasty words on my family. Racist and distasteful.”

“My response: Salam 1Malaysia back to all of you!”

Hannah: “You’ve failed as a PM for M’sians of all races”

Hannah Yeoh had in the past mocked the Salam 1Malaysia – see below.

To the DAP top leadership, the Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu gathering tomorrow is “a racially-charged and provocative rally“.

The DAP evangelista YBs are even predicting mayhem and murder – see DAP Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng’s tweet.

Are the fear-mongering Dapster family making false allegations again?

  1. Too late MCA, you should also tell off those people who burn giant joss sticks next to makeshift altar and temples…

And when Melayu retaliate, banyak songeh lu…excuses a plenty. Jangan jadi talam 2 muka boleh tak…

    Please, go continue your sleep…

  2. An eyes for an eyes ,but they are giving more for stepping on their president photo .

Does the Malays has lost it’s tolerance ?,or thus that showed that the camel back been broken ,if it does the Malays acting wrongly ?.

    1. The camel back hasn’t been broken but the load is overbearing.

Just look out for when the camel bites…..

  3. Betul la tu. Ingat lagu Warisan “Anak kecil main api…”. Orang Melayu dah mula ‘membakar’.

Lagu tu berakhir dengan “Melayu kan gagah di nusantara”. Secara positif, Bersih 4 dah tolong orang Melayu untuk sedar daripada tidur.

  4. Tokong Lim and his papa Lim should be called Bollywood Lims. Good dirty actors, hypocrites and great pretenders. They can cry and laugh at the same time.. therefore are also very good political jokers.

Oh, I forgot Hannah Mama. She is even better. She can be angry and smile at the same time.

To Bollywood Lims and Hannah Mama :- Have you seen this TV programme before? “You Ask For It”, yes YOU ASK FOR IT.

  5. …..
In his Malaysia Day message today, Kit Siang tells the country, “I want to state very clearly that in my nearly 50 years in politics, I had never fought for Chinese, but for Malaysians embracing all [the races]”……

    Sleepwalking..dok mamai selama 50tahun.

….He says the organizers have no right to hold a rally “designed to create racial distrust and animosity and to incite racial hatred, tension and conflict”…..

Dia sebenarnya nak habaq kat Maria Chin, Ambiga dan DAP supporters tapi mesej dia tersilap haribulan.

  6. Adding to the haze?

Hoi…what about the open burning of those hundreds and thousands of joss sticks and heaps of hell notes (with and without Jibby’s face on them) being burnt every day, on the sidewalks, parking lots, balconies and everywhere else for those hungry ghosts?!

All illegal by law. Yet, the authorities do nothing about it…haze or no haze.

Oh, I forgot…it must be as Tokong says, a ‘dangerous, religious provocation’ to comment or act on that.
