J-Star hammers Jahara

Wesak is so low key compared to merry Christmas.

And Buddhists are so quiet in contrast to the loud Christians.

The DAP top leadership is full of Christians. And the Jerusubang Christians are rabid political activists. That’s why our Sino-Malay tensions are racheting up.

In the matter of the Armenian Park shrine issue, it is the noisy, aggressive evangelistas – and not the Taoist themselves – who are hollering away.

The Quran has already cautioned the ummah

One high-decibel evangelical Christian, who is the CEO of the MCA’s media empire, reminds us of Surat Al-Baqarah [verse 120] — And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their ways.

Wong Chun Wai is browbeating Penang opposition leader Jahara Hamid to follow his self-proclaimed ‘liberal’ lifestyle.

If you refuse to, he will call you extremist, intolerant, “bigoted politicians”/” incredibly stupid politicians and preachers” and accuse you of “spewing racist remarks”.

Wong’s multicultural sermon today can be read at ‘Our diversity, our gain‘.

But he is preaching what his co-religionists do not subscribe to. Christendom has rejected diversity and is instead resuming its millennia-old, anti-Islam crusade.

Watch today as Austria elects a far right and anti-Muslim president.

It would be very refreshing for Jahara to just say, ” I hate your religion and if I’m the CM I want to have it demolished.”

    Typical UMNO liars

According to the Penang gomen mouthpice Buletin Mutiara,

Jahara (Adun Teluk Air Tawar) said:

“…biarlah mengambil kira sensitiviti masyarakat. Kalau boleh compound spirit ini tak usah la bubuh kerana ianya akan menjadi tempat sembahan kerana orang Islam tak akan pergi sembah tapi kita takut orang yang tak faham tu.”

To be fair to Jahara, it appears that her concern is not so much what/how some Chinese pray in their folk belief but the shrine’s location within a public park.

You are a typical chinese migrant that jahara shd clear fight. Wong Chun Wai the christian fanatic but in the star his chinese english paper he want to build a chinese tokong in the middle of the park. Jahara said you can put it in the corner of the park. Just because the chinese tokong was there for many yeärs, it doesnt mean we cannot destroy it as this is malay land. The british are not here anymore. China hv reclaimed hong kong..

re: “Wong Chun Wai the christian fanatic but in the star his chinese english paper he want to build a chinese tokong in the middle of the park.”

He didn’t exactly say he wants a tokong to be built in the middle of a park.

He’s arguing that Jahara must accept multiculturalism and diversity, and those who do not are racists and religious bigots.

As to the location of the tokong, from what I understand from the news reports so far, it was temporarily moved when the park was being upgraded.

According to The J-Star, the shrine now sits in “an obscure corner” – pix here.

Not sure where the shrine was located originally — whether in the centre of the park and later reassigned to the so-called obscure corner after the upgrading works, or whehter the obscure corner at the fringe is its original location.

To make it clear to those who would deliberately mis-ascribe meaning – the sentence above that reads “the CEO of the MCA’s media empire, reminds us of Surat Al-Baqarah”

    (1) does not infer that WCW quoted 2:120 in his article today

    (2) instead it should be understood as — this Christian fella WCW and his pushy liberal behaviour brings to mind what the Quran reminded (warned) us about in 2:120

I forgot to put the word ‘liberal’ in quote marks.

He’s not a true liberal. He’s a faux liberal, like Marina Mahathir.

The evangelistas like to bully people. Bullies are not liberals.

Mainland Chinese are freaked out by evangelistas.

Malaysian Chinese believe the ones from DAP are their saviours.

Mainland Chinese are more sensible and smarter too.

I don’t understand why Jahara makes such a bid deal about the shrine. There has always been one around there.
There is also a shrine in MBPP’s Youth Park. There are shrines from long time back.
But what is troubling is when you have ones springing suddenly overnight. Like the mobile Mazu shrine outside the Kuan Yin temple, don’t they need permission or approval or do they already have it?

As aside Jahara should be relieved that it only a shrine at not a statue of Kim Kardashian in the Armenian Park, MBPP may start having ideas now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It could be a reflection of our times — confrontational and adversarial.

Maybe 10-15 years ago, she might not have. Or perhaps if it were not the Guan Eng gomen in power, she wouldn’t.

Or it’s a first salvo shot across the bow to signal that Umno Penang is going to adopt a harder line.
