Will PAN gain Chinese votes? Yes but it already too late for them as both BN and PAS already have Malay votes. I’m more interested to see PAN losing than either BN or PAS winning.

    Kuala Kangsar pula…

…..It is without a doubt that Malaysia should be behind Prime Minister Najib to move forward for the betterment of the nation and sailing through the global economic and geo-political storm instead of bickering through very unproductive gutter politics and slanders…..The Star

If they decide to come back, that is.

Any statistics (official or unofficial) to support your statement?

Or is it more a case of “going, gone”?

Maybe we should echo Donald Trump and introduce racial profiling into this ‘greener pastures’ thing?

          Hahaha….

On a more serious note, I would agree that the ubiquity of the Internet and social media and the ‘Uberification’ of the digital and e-commerce economy has made it easy for young Malaysians to get into the world of start-ups, venture capital, angel investors and crowd-funding.

Where it is all about skills, talent and entrepreneurial ability and not about race/religion/sexual orientation.

Refer to Silicon Valley as the original case study. Or, closer to home, Singapore.

“Maybe we should echo Donald Trump and introduce racial profiling into this ‘greener pastures’ thing? ”

Don’t think this is a laughing matter. The voices objecting immigration is becoming louder in Western countries. The murder of Jo Cox by a Britain First follower is one example. To the Britain First, anything unBritain would be the enemy and this means Indians, Muslims, and yes Chinese or in their language the Chinks. If the trend of the Right Winger becomes more rampant, the immigrants would have to leave – not by law but by harassment by these groups.

I don’t think our Malays would be happy to receive those Penang Chinese who tore up their passports. In fact it would be joy as this is poetic justice.

Remember China steals American jobs says Trump. It would be for the good of the US to unChink America. Think of the sad poor American girls who live in squalor because Daddy and Mummy lost their jobs to a Chink.

“Refer to Silicon Valley as the original case study. Or, closer to home, Singapore”

I wonder why Malaysian Chinese love to become yellow Banglas. The Chinese look down at Banglas, Myammars etc in Malaysia. But in Australia, Tasmania, UK etc. the Chinese are the Banglas. Yellow Banglas doing work the locals don’t want to do.

Worst of all, the Malaysian Chinese is the Singaporean version of the Yellow Bangla. Earn money in Singapore and go back to Penang in Banglasia.

If you say UMNO encourages brain drain because of their policies well the BJP too have done a good job letting Indians run round the world. Please notice the head of Pepsi is a Tamil Nadu born person. So does this mean the BJP has messed up by losing talented Indians?

In fact Lee Kuan Yew too is a failure. There are many Singaporeans who leave for the US or UK for good.

If the Chinese still want to be stubborn by
    a. thinking they are better than the darker skinned Malays and Indians
    b. wanting to always reform the Malays (UBAH, PAN etc kinds of Kumbayah)
    c. thinking the whites are always more superior then the darker races with Chinese included (remember Sick Man of Asia, No Dogs or Chinese Admitted)
then with a shrinking population in mind, sorry for them.

The latest competitiveness rankings sort of contradict your thesis, don’t they?

Or the founders of the big tech companies out of Seattle and Silicon Valley. How many Malay-Muslims are to be found among them?

Closer to home, the list of the top 10 universities in Asia show a preponderance of institutions from the so-called “gene pool” countries.

A statistical coincidence or an indication of a deeper trend or malaise, depending on your worldview?

Btw, the Indian diaspora has been around for far longer than the BJP’s ascendancy to power.

Think Sundar Pichai of Alphabet/Google or Satya Nadella of Microsoft.

Or, in Singapore, the CEO of DBS Bank or the Managing Director of MAS. Both ethnic Indians, if you care to look it up.

As for the Donald, he is facing significant pushback from within the Republican Party. Including from the business establishment.

And Hillary Clinton is thus far doing better in the US opinion polls.

And if you are au fait with developments in the UK, the immigrants being objected to are fellow Europeans from the poorer EU economies. Not Chinese, Indians or Filipinos.

Gotta brush your knowledge of current affairs obviously.

Those you adore highly in your writing and the current affair, do they put food on your table. Why should I take pride of them? Next time mention someone closer to you who help you get food on the table; perhaps these are the people we can connect together and be proud of.

Well, if you work for Apple, Google, Microsoft etc and earn a decent salary, that’s putting food on the table for your family. Isn’t it?

Can you please rethink your logic?

And do something about your English grammar and usage. Please….
