Pahang mufti Abdul Rahman Osman yesterday invited Grandpa and his son Papa Lim to convert to Islam for national unity.  (See story in the J-Star.),

Needless to say, it is Mama Dapster who should set the ball rolling on this matter. Why does she keep her Malay fan base waiting forever?

Ha ha ha , taken the bulls by the horns. Well done Mufti of Pahang.

All those who profess their love and willingly attire themselves in what is common wear among Muslims please do take up the challenge….

These entering and “occupying” mosques and Suraus mainly happen in Selangor but, surprisingly, the challenge came from Pahang…. Just think about it…..

Anyone from the occupier’s camp sahur this morning? Its your last chance. You may not get this opportunity next Ramadhan, if by the grace of Allah you are still around….

There is no such word as compulsion mentioned by the mufti. Only ‘invitation’. Get yr facts right, do not jump up and down at the mere mention of a fact not in yr favour.
The mufti is basing hs invitation on the eagerness of the munafiqs or harbi to portray their islamic inclination and interest. That is what you get when you conduct yrself such. It may not reveal the true intention but that is one of the assumptions people esp. Muslims could interpret their conduct.
Otherwise the conduct of continously intruding others place of worship wld arise suspicion as to the intention of the perpetrator.
You cannot blame the mufti, it is only natural fr a muslim to extend such an invitation based on the person’s conduct. It is a form of daawa greatly encouraged by the religion. It is only to be expected. He did not invade anybody’s privacy or any physical entity.
Luckily this happens in Malaysia. The situation might nt be that conducive or welcoming in other countries. Imagine, you going to peopke’s hs, first few days we welcome you warmly as guests. After 3 days, at least, yr overstay is not welcomed anymore and would be subjected to suspicipn by the host. You do not hv to dosplay yr twisted version of an interpretation of the situation.. You invade people’s place, it is only natural that yr conduct become the subject of suspicio.

The open invitation by mufti is timely and historic. Islamic scholars and muslim in general will find great interest to know how the family will respond. They can choose to ignore it, or respond in kind and decline the invitation, or respond in kind and accept it, or respond aggressively and threaten to sue, or rally people for support, or intensify unauthorized fund raising activities.

Whichever response they take, there is a significant bearing on the characters, moral values and principles. It is wise that the invitees seek advice from religious scholars and think deeply of their decision.

Afterall, he is a human being. With all the issues surrounding him, there must be tremendous pressure that can impair decision making. If the party truly love, emphatize and understand the gravity of the problems, they should follow the advice of professionals.

The open invitation should also be extended to her. If she accepted in sincerity, all masjids are open for to be frequented.

Yeah, the other loons are at least somewhat tolerable, and generally don’t shove their archaic beliefs on the rest of us. Islam on the other hand has gone out of control, and Muslims are not capable of being critical of the damage their religion has caused society, especially right now.

I keep on harping on about the hypocrisy of your faith as it claims to have no compulsion, but we all know what the penalty for apostasy is in many middle eastern countries, and we certainly know that conversion is prohibited to other religions over here. How you guys can accept living under these terms is beyond logic.

My stupidity? I am not the brainwashed one who is so incredibly stupid to belief that unless you were be born into this faith, you are not going to be save. So the other 5.5 billion are all doomed to hell as the mufti is alluding to in the star article? Allah is really warped if this is what you guys actually believe about him.

And now you have become an authority on Christianity as well, have you? No, I am referring to the ridiculous teachings of Islam that states that unless, by some accident of birth you are born as a Muslim, you are destined for the fires of hell. You have to be seriously delusional to believe such drivel.

While I think Christianity is also not the way forward for the human race (how psychologically damaging and cruel is it to tell your children that they are going to go to hell unless they do X,Y and Z), I at least know that traditional Christians, namely the Catholics, Orthodox and Anglicans don’t hold on to this warped view that all non Christians are doomed for eternity.

You really are clueless. Read the Catechism of the Catholic Church, it’s free to view online. They talk about baptism of fire, water and desire and clearly state that all who seek to do good, regardless of religious affiliation, will be spared. While I am not supporting Christianity, I think the fact that you blatantly misrepresent what that religion teaches, and conveniently ignore the near barbaric teachings of Islam reflects more on you and the fact that you clearly are on UMNO’s payroll. Yes, you are not fooling anyone.

Nice, posting a link of Billy Graham, who is an Evangelical to represent what the Catholic Church teaches. Stop being so deceitful, you clearly have no idea about what the Catholic Church teaches. FYI, mainstream Protestantism and Catholicism are miles apart in their core beliefs. I on the other hand, have not misrepresented Islam, and the best you can do is to issue out the cop out label of “Islamophobia”. Why is it ok to be homophobic the way most Muslims tend to be but being Islamophobic gets your knickers in a twist?

The link is posted to reflect how the Born Agains (who are the majority/most aggressive, i.e. Jerusubang preachers) conduct their Christianity 101 faith in Malaysia.

re: “you clearly have no idea about what the Catholic Church teaches.”

I blog about evangelistas. They are not Catholics.

In fact, some of the evangelistas don’t even consider Catholics to be ‘proper’ Christians — something you should know but are not telling this blog’s Malay readers.

And neither are Catholic churches proliferating in Jerusubang (a location I blog about) which is the hub for evangelical churches.

re: “FYI, mainstream Protestantism and Catholicism are miles apart in their core beliefs.”

In Malaysia, evangelism or pentecostal churches are the today most dominant denomination.

Go read the Catholic Herald. I’m sure the publication has talked before about how the youngsters are being lured to the evangelical churches and how the Catholics are losing their Gen Y flock.

re: “Why is it ok to be homophobic the way most Muslims tend to be but being Islamophobic gets your knickers in a twist?”

Why is it ok for the evangelistas to diss the Catholics but when it comes to exposing the evangelistas, you Christians of different feathers still flock together and get your collective persecution complex twitching?

Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience – those too may achieve eternal salvation”

I have encountered Islam practised in many ways.

I am sorry to have to say this but this Mufti of Pahang is an absolute moron.

I would never want to convert to his version of Islam.

His version of Islam encourages hate towards anybody who is not a Muslim.

His version of Islam demands respect without giving any to others.

His version of Islam is so sensitive to criticism that he will want to kill his critics if they do not stop criticising him after he tells them to stop.

I piss on the Mufti of Pahang and his version of Islam.

You need someone to convert to Islam to show you what Islam is?

You don’t already have a one-to-one relationship with your Allah?

You need somebody else to tell you what your Allah should be like?

Maybe that is why you think your Allah wants you to go around killing kafir harbi.

      So, what is next?

Just to gain political capital, DAP has been very irresponsible to divert its incendiary rhetoric in the direction that the mufti never intended.

So far the best statement from a religious leader, that’s the Pahang mufti. He cooly invited those DAP leaders to convert to Islam for national unity and that’s when the DAP ” cacing” got so entangled and heated up, they started to cursed and accused in your blog Helen.

Imagine, just “an invitation to convert “, and those DAP dogs jumped up and down as if they have been taken for slaughter like in Longkang Lim’s culling of dogs. It shows how sensitive they are against Islam, and that indicates how they are being brainwashed in their churches. Hate, hate, hate…
