All the time, Cina DAP will refer to Umno as Bumno, Dumbno and Scumno, i.e. dumb Umno people are bums and scum.
But any Umno reject willing to UBAH (realign themselves with the opposition) are miraculously reborn as bijak dan BERSIH (cleansed through rebirth into the opposition camp).

Ms H. In terms of world geo-politics, with the formation of TDM’s party, Malaysian politics will be split right down the middle. It is a situation which we have avoided since 1957. On the one hand China. On the other, the United States and Japan. With Uncle Sam interested in both camps. As I have said before, Malaysia’s paramount strategic geo-political position which stands astride the South China Sea and the Straits of Melaka forces her to maintain a neutral position between contending super-powers like Switzerland. Once this balance becomes imbalance, the consequences for all of us cannot be fathomed. With the construction of the Isthmus of Kra Canal just 100 km away, Malaysia with her society, peoples, natural resources and developed infrastructures not only benefit but has an immense influence on everything that goes on in the Canal. Singapore with her best logistics in terms of professionals, finance, materials etc. takes third fiddle to Thailand and Malaysia. But the Canal is good for the World without doubt ! It is a pacifier for the restive regions of ASEAN and the dawn of democracy in these places.
Perhaps an unintended consequence of cutting across the Kra isthmus will be that the nearby Penang island might float away ,) miracles can happen!
Ms H. The present leadership of Pulau Pinang are non-starters. They believe in being copy-cats of the failed State of Singapore and look up to them for succour and ideas which they have none.. It is the ideas that propel Humankind through the Ages. At home, we have Lee Kong Chian, Tun Daim, Lee Loy Seng etc.- the non-monopolists. But even with the affirmative announcement of the construction of the Kra, Malaysia especially the Northern regions will boom. But with the limpid Pulau Pinang leadership now distracted in dog-fights and without any coherent policy to benefit the Rakyat, Pulau Pinang will not immediately benefit. With the formation of TDMs party, the whole Malaysian landscape will be re-delineated, for better or for worse. Time will tell. With the super-powers now in their life and death sandiwara right here in KL, has our beloved Malaysia any right to be involved when our only desire is to earn the daily bread ?

This place is so special and yet those responsible for the island’s welfare do not seem to see the obvious. HY. You again. Let us stick to facts. In 1959 when LKY took power, the demography was 100% indigenous Singaporean. In the 1970s – 1980s, his 2 Child Family Policy was applied. This led to abortions, income coercions, sterilizations, divorces, emigrations, suicides, mental depressions, quarrels etc. LKY applied this 2 Child Family Policy on 2 Million Singaporeans of which 200,000 were old folks and 200,000 children. 1.6 Million was the target population. By 2010, according to the Singapore Government White Paper on Population 2011, only 62% was indigenous Singaporean population. In other words, 3 Million indigenous Singaporeans, 1.2 Million FTs and 800,00 wealthy permanent residents to boost the GDP. The latest trend is to ignore the GDP because of its emphasis on the wrong stats. The demography of present day Singapore clearly shows the failure of LKY policy on population which even Hitler did not do but promoted the rise of the Teutonic race. At this juncture, 50 years after 1959, Singapore has to rely on foreigners for everything. In October 2015, Bilahari Kausikan without saying much highlighted the fact that the first line of defence for Singapore now is UMNO in KL whether we like it or not. Singapore’s Muar-Batu Pahat Defence line for its 300,000 strong military has been outdated by the latest tactics in warfare. At the slightest sound of the bugles, the FTs of Singapore will decamp leaving the 62% indigenous Singaporeans holding the can. The much vaunted GDP will go with them.
yes its me, i always read yr writes, might not agree with u most of the time though. i think we have a diff view pertaining to population vs humanity. i think less population is actually a contribution to humanity, i abhor those leaders that want population growth for the sake of gdp, until today i still cannot understand mahathir policy of 70 mil population. i hold the view that china made one of the greatest contribution to humanity when they restrain the population growth via one child policy. indigenous or not, is this really matter? dun sound like the umno/bn racist if yr point is really abt humanity. my dislike of lky is more on his ruthless action against the dissidents. n his role of being a west/british lackey.

HY. The best Malaysians do not return to Malaysia. They are to be found in the best institutions of the West and even China. I got stuck here because by eldest brother stole all my money. I had to start with zero funds from scratch. A large number of medical specialists in Singapore are Malaysians. A pool of 1.6 million indigenous Singaporeans cannot produce talent to beat a group of people many times this figure. This just cannot happen according to any biological law. It is against the law of Nature. LKY being in self-denial a whole life long, we find Singapore in such a derelict state in human terms today. What’s to be the criterion of good governance then?
Chris. LKY’s greatest mistake was to be ‘Oxbridge’ arrogant. As a result, he thought he knew everything. This brought the present sufferings of the Singaporeans today. In all things, we are all born equal and die equal. I do not like to list his 47 failed Policies here as Ms H does not permit. First, I do not know whether LKY’s creation of Singapore’s neo-communist political socio-economic system was by accident or design. You have a central command controlled by one person which is surrounded by GLCs. This is contrary to Westminister democracy or Oxbridge beliefs in freedom of expression, freedom of thought and freedom of actions. Only 3 treasonous Oxbridge Brits Blunt, Maclean and Burgess and LKY broke the tradition.Second, if you take the independence from British Rule in each Colony as the Normal Standard of governance with its propriety, standards, ethics, etc. you will find that each and everyone of these Nations either slowly or rapidly return to its native origins. India and Malaysia have so far avoided this trait- but corruption hastens this process. If you visit India, you will understand why. Third, the lst generation leaders of some ex-British colonies come from the British educationa system. They have long since gone. The downward spiral quickens. I picked these facts from history which is a fine arbiter of good or bad governance anywhere.
Because LKY was thrifty, honest and hard-working in a monetary way and he could monitor all in a small place, his System of governance worked whilst he was alive.
