Global Transformation Forum is an “event organized by the rich, for the rich and of the rich,” claims DAP Serdang MP Ong Kian Ming.
Ticket prices for GTF 2017 start at RM4,000, and reaching a ceiling of RM10,000.
According to YB Ong, the government gave GTF 2017 a subsidy of RM15 million. He also says in his press statement yesterday that revenue from the transformation forum “goes directly to a private company”.
The private company organizing GTF 2017 is Pemandu Associates Sdn Bhd. It is co-owned by its CEO and president Idris Jala the evangelista.
BELOW: J-Star archived news report is from 2014; Question mark on much influence Idris Jala still wields on Putrajaya today after leaving the cabinet
Among my previous articles on Pemandu:

Pemandu sounds like a scam. Whatever they’re selling, I’m not buying.
Anyways, the debate between Tun M and Nazri is finally approved. So no more excuses from Nazri if he decides to chicken out. Even if he does show up, he’s not the right person to debate the 1MDB scandal.
But anything to please his “boss”….. I suppose
Haha…..the fella chicken out…..and so fast
The mother of all scams is 1MDB. Enough said.
Helen, have you read Kadir’s latest blog. I agree with most of the things he wrote about Najib.

Agreed, Najib kept throwing distractions (Jamal, Nazri, RUU 355) to divert attention from his 1MDB scandal. Let us see what is his next trick…..
The great soul Mahatma Gandhi once said: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
So I think the lousiest way to lose your soul is to enslave other people to your own cravings. No one is above the hudud of karma!
The answer to your question is NO. The gomen is not helping Pemandu make money. Pemandu is actually helping themselves to gomen’s money which they are very good at, just like the TalentCorp and Permata and every other consultant group in the gomen.
P/s good to have you back
I’ve seen the headline on OSTB..unfortunately already 404 by skmm. Can they do this? Privatise economic transformation?
