Agree wholeheartedly that Hannah is a blooming hypocrite

“Care to explain how is she hypocrite? by practicing her faith? And now, practicing own’s faith is wrong?? Did she introduce any bill relating to Christianity?? You are only agreeing to Dr Kamarul cos you need to suck up to the umno brand Malays, and to stay relevant……”

MY REPLY: I’m sure that I’ve said Hannah is a bloody hypocrite years ago.

There are many reasons I view her as a disgusting hypocrite but naming one would suffice.

(1) She raised a stink at National Registration Department, demanding that her newborn be classified “Anak M’sia” in the ‘Keturunan’ birth cert box when there is and has never been such a category under our official documentation.

(2) She insisted that her baby – being of mixed race – cannot be put under any of the existing ethnic boxes. With the support of her party, she even later petitioned the PM to compel a gomen dept. to create this new category specially for her (shortly after, LGE’s political secretary Ng Wei Aik too pulled the same stunt for his baby girl), and trying to do away with race identification in our official MyKad.

(3) The NRD ignored her drama queen shenanigans and simply did the paperwork on her behalf – classing Shay Adora Ram as “Chinese” under race, and “Christian” under religion.

(4) When she received a backlash from MIC and the more traditional among the Indian community, she conveniently shifted the blame and said the NRD clerk did it. Well, the clerk got the child’s religion correct, so it is a stretch to pretend that the mother did not check and approve the form ascertation process. And in any case, Hannah only accused the clerk after she had gotten flak from the Indians. So I don’t buy her flimsy excuse of faulting the gomen counter staff.

PATHETIC!  Father’s name pun truncated from the Tamil ‘Ramachandran’ to ‘Ram’

(5) Hannah’s second child is classed ‘Indian’ in her birth cert. So now the two girls – sisters having the same father – one is officially Chinese, and the other is officially Indian. From the younger girl’s details, it appears that following the father’s race is the default position. After all, both our Chinese and Indian civilizations are partriachies.

(6) So why did the ostensibly ‘colour blind’ DAP politician – when denied her own pluck-from-thin-air first option, and forced to choose between either one of the parent’s ethnicity, finally pick the maternal line to follow? Poor Mr Hannah Yeoh … the whole of M’sia can see who wears the pants in that family.

(7) Hypocrite much? Hell yah.

Is Hannah ashamed to call her child an Indian?

When push came to shove, Hannah chose ‘Chinese’ over ‘Indian’. Not hypocrite?

Just because she’s all screwed-up, she wants to mess with the NRD procedures instead.

So, Hannah wanted to categorize 1st born race as “Anak Malaysia”, but NRD changed to Cina…And you are implying Hannah should have insisted for “Indian”……hence she’s a hypocrite……have i got the deduction correct?

What if she doesn’t care what NRD records? Isn’t that possible? Seeing that she went against the norm on filling up the form….

And pertaining to patriarchies, guess TDM, Abdul Azeez, Irwan Serigar and mamaks in umno has some serious explaining to do…..they don’t look Malay to me

BTW, i too teach my kids they are Malaysian first, then followed by ethnicity……..

1)Yes she should. Surely the ram isnt there or no self respecting NRD officer would make the mistake of categorizing the daughter as chinese. Now that would be a scene to behold.
2)Oh she does, otherwise why all the brouhaha? Free publicity? Hypocrite much?
3)This one easy. THEY HAVE ASSIMILATED, they are muslim, they talk and think in malay, dont ask for vernacular education, eat with their right hands and they do not sent their wives to india to give birth. Read Article 160 of the Perlembagaan.
4)Good for you. Hopefully they go to national school. The only kind of school for “Malaysian” or else that would be like putting ethnicity first. And i do hope they sing Negaraku instead of “Negalaku”. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and talk is cheap!

actually all i hope to hear from hannah is what is wrong to follow the mothers race/ethnicity if given a choice. mother is inferior?

as for this mic, i cant understand how a civilization that was gifted one gautama buddha can be so partriachy n they still have the thick face to boost how great is their influence to the world, i am thinking most of them r just a bunch of sick dick that look down on woman.

that said, india still have female prime minister, i supposed in a way, they r far better than malay n chinese.

oh please stop with that post modernist patriarchal shtick, it’ll get no one anywhere.

If you understand the age old social contract that is marriage, putting the father’s name to a child is a way to bind the man to be responsible and accountable for the child he sired. This may not seem so significant to you if you live in a predominantly traditional society where having a paternal figure is common, but in a modern society where both men and women can have multiple partners out of wedlock, and sometimes children are created out of that relationship, you’d be glad to have someone who can actually lend a hand in raising a kid in a stable household where there is financial stability.

as for India’s female prime minister, I’d think they simply chose the RIGHT person for the job, not because she’s a female. You’d be terribly sexist to insinuate the latter.

“it’ll get no one anywhere” – i am trying to stick to topic.

“If you understand the age old social contract that is marriage…” – i am talking abt race/ethnicity, a msian favored topic. wrt putting father’s name, what is wrong for mothers name if both agree? I supposed the law allow?

“chose the RIGHT person for the job,” – perhaps u r right, i am the one that is sexist, bec coincidentally, only in india (since the post talk abt indian, chinese n msian) there is woman that is right for the job.

If she is not a hypocrite, she should quit DAP which declare itself as a secular party fighting for secularism. Why is she using a secular party to her advantage to promote certain faith? Isn’t it hypocritical to benefit from a secular party for your own religious agenda?

The Quran reminds us who have been blessed with the religion of the Prophets (peace and blessings upon them all) to practise the Truth that we proclaim in order to be safe from the damnation of hypocritical behaviour – whether we be Jew, Christian, or Muslim:

“O Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant with Me as I fulfil My Covenant with you, and fear none but Me.

And believe in what I reveal, confirming the revelation which is with you, and be not the first to reject Faith therein, nor sell My Signs for a small price; and fear Me, and Me alone.

And cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when you know (what it is).

And be steadfast in prayer; practise regular charity; and lower down your heads with those who bow down (in worship).

Do you enjoin right conduct on other people, and forget to practise it yourselves, and yet you study the Scripture [Bible and Quran]? Will you not understand?

Seek help in patience and prayer; and truly this is hard except for the humble-minded,
who know that they will have to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are going to return.”
      (Quran, surah Al-Baqarah v. 40-46)

Ms H. In the old days under the British, all Government forms for whatever the reason, the Chinese have to declare their dialects. This was/is because the different tribes of Chinese, Hainanese, Hakka, Hokkien, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Teochews, Foochows, Kwongsai, etc behave in different ways. This woman is behaving exactly as her ancestry dictates ! No more. No less. The British were so cautious dealing with the Chinese in Malaya, they sent their police cadres to Swatow, Canton and Xiamen for 6 months on the ground training. After which, these cadres either end up in the Office of the Protector of the Chinese or Special Branch, Police Contingent.
