Mat Sabu’s straggly strawman in defence of his DAP best bud

October 8, 2017 at 7:26 pm 16 comments

PAN president Mohamad Sabu today trotted out a strawman argument claiming Umno is scaring Malays that the DAP intends to establish “a Christian state”.  That’s just like making the equally strawish argument saying Umno is fear-mongering Malays that Lim Kit Siang wants to become the next prime minister.

We know that DAP would not be grabbing the premiership in name, even if the opposition does win GE14. We’re quite sure that DAP will leave the top job ostensibly in the hands of a Malay to serve as window dressing − as how the president of Singapore is a Malay woman. This is not to say, however, that the DAP will not be the real power behind the throne.

BELOW: In the short-lived state government of Perak where DAP was the Pakatan party with the most number of DUN seats, the post of Menteri Besar was nonetheless given to PAS, the Pakatan party with the fewest seats. But how much power do you think MB Nizar Jamaluddin had in reality versus how much influence the DAP evangelista warlord cousins wielded behind the scenes?

ABOVE: Mat Sabu may be the PAN president but Guan Eng’s hold on him sure is creepy

DAP’s substance over the Pakatan Harapan form

Likewise the case of Muslim vs Christian power brokers in Pakatan at federal level. There is always the frontman, and then there’s the backseat driver.

Just like DAP did not ‘physically’ hold the post of Perak menteri besar in 2008, neither will DAP anytime in the near future openly declare a ‘Christian state’ aspiration. Expect the sneaky bastards to possess a bit more cunning and acting more realistically befitting our Muslim-majority political context.

Only Mat Sabu can be dumb enough to think the general public is actually dumb enough to buy his strawman argument. In fact, Mat Sabu has been spinning the same silly straw since years ago (see tweet below), and like a well-trained minion, he has not changed his tune.

How then will the DAP bring about its much vaunted ‘Change’?

Give the DAP some credit, please. The evangelical party will – for the time being – continue doing what they’re already doing, i.e. promoting secularism, liberalism and religious pluralism which together have the cumulative effect of eroding the formal status of Islam in Malaysia.

This assessment by PAS Youth chief Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi is certainly on the ball, who warned last month that “DAP is shadowed by the Christian evangelist agenda”.

A choir performance at the Selangor state Christmas celebration

For a feel of the DAP’s subtle achievement, look at what they have successfully introduced into our system of social governance. They have normalized the overt presence of evangelical Christians in the corridors of power and other high profile roles.

While I’m not sure about the official Christmas celebration since Azmin Ali took over as Selangor MB, but under the admin of the previous Pakatan MB – see YAB Khalid Ibrahim above – a grand Christmas was officially celebrated at state level.

If I were a Muslim voter, I’d be able to easily see through Mat Sabu’s simplistic ploy of exaggerating the DAP’s so-called ‘Chrsitian state’ ambition. Instead what would truly worry me is the infiltration by the DAP evangelistas into the Malay’s masjid and surau, and into Muslim forums and discussions.

You must ask yourselves what is Hannah Yeoh trying to do through her tudung litup masquerade below!

    Helen,

Mohd Sabu, though widely in malay politics, is actually a reject item.He is viewed as nothing more than a court jester. Entertaining but that is all.

What DAP refuses to admit is that the political equation has changed. With DAP kicking out PAS from PR, the precious Malay votes are gone too.

UMNO needs not frighten the Malays on DAP. malays know it too well taht DAP is anti malay

    Dear helen,
Very true indeed about dap’s infiltration in mosques n suraus.thank goodness we have HRH Sultan of Selangor putting a stop to the dap hypocrites n sivarasah got a good bashing at that. And its such a blessing that Pas has seen the true colors of Dap evangelistas as Pas used to be intoxicated with Dap for quite sometime. Its proven in selangor where beer festival, liberalism, secularism and lgbt is very much supported by the dap evangelistas.

Mat sabu is still the clown and dap macai greedy for power. I can never understand why voters would want mat sabu. Even mr bean is smarter than him…he has no charisma nor the intellectual capability.

Ms H. Tectonic seismic shifts in our garrulous Malaysian Political firmament is coming to pass. First, there is the alleged RM 1 Billion Bribe. I say it is not an alleged Bribe but an alleged Off the Peg sale of an Opposition Party complete with its leadership, members of 800,000 hard-core Chinamen supporters, a handful of Evangelists in fancy dress, and a sprinkling of Malay, Chinese, Indians and other idealists aka camp followers, Federal and State seats and all the 50 year goodwill as social workers. The First such sale in the World ! It is not only cheap. It is free if the DAP 2.0 succeeds in capturing Putrajaya.and its coffers ! However, please note the Singaporean Trojan Horse DAP 1.0 failed in 3 Easy Attempts in the past. This is the only bad mark..This is a brilliant move on the part of the old hands at this game of Malaysian snakes and ladders. Any Malaysian tycoon can buy up the whole country for only RM 1 Billion or USDR 238 Million. The return on such a casino play is beyond imagination. For this tiny sum which is actually a refundable deposit, the tycoon gets our beloved Malaysia with its strategic geo-political location inclusive of the bountiful natural resources and peoples from 3 ancient civilizations which is just about to sky rocket to the heights of Switzerland, India and Japan. And a seat in the United Nations, the most exclusive club of all with only 180 nations as members ! Second, it is time for the Evangelists with their Poster Boy and Socialite leader WCW do the pow-wow on how to maximize their gains or minimise their losses because they forgot they could be ‘main-main belakang’ as shown in this ‘ NO HOLDS BARRED MALAYSIAN POLITICS.’ Serve them right these Evangelists for dressing up to please the locals. It’s now or never, Evangelists ! You should out-bid the alleged RM 1 Billion with an alleged RM 1.1 Billion. The highest bidder for the Horse which could be re-politicised into a Divine Donkey (Divine Action Party) wins ! I support you !

Ms H. We are now witnessing the age of billions of ringgits in Malaysian Politics. In 1954, the MCA towkays raised only Straits Dollars 400,000 for the Alliance. The billions of ringgits now flowing into the populace will drive the economy from now until after the 14th GE.in 2018.

Why did you pick on Mat Sabu who’s obviously a nobody in Malaysian politics?

Was it because he is an easy pick?

    He’s a rejected politician.

Ms H. In the 21st Century, most Malaysians are no longer ignorant and uninformed except for those brainwashed by Lee Kuan Yew for 2 generations. How can anyone attain an electoral seat at the Federal or State level in our GE without the support of the Chinese, Malays or Indians or others ? How can a sane person say that we should not worry because the Evangelists or the 800,000 hard-core Lee Kuan Yew supporters are in the minority ? In 1933, Hitler did just that with a minority support which was less than 40% ! In politics, nothing must be left to chance. It is all or nothing. A person with wishful thinking is not a politician but a fellow traveller !

Ms H. It is indeed interesting if as alleged that there was an alleged sale of the Singaporean Trojan Horse DAP for a give away price
of RM 1 Billion. As it is often said in our beloved Malaysia, there is no smoke, there is no fire. How true in so many instances ! The fact is a homeless leader has allegedly bought a Trojan Horse for free if it wins the Putrajaya Gold Stakes. But the great question mark is whether the Poster Boy and Socialite WCW and his Income Tax Free and GST Free RM 2 incorporated churches of Singapore and Malaysia play ball or not with the new alleged owner. The period before the 14th GE will be the most interesting of all with the tussle for power over the Trojan Horse via the allocation of seats. Akan datang.
