Kejinya pengundi PAS di kaca mata Kit Siang

Dalam kenyataan media beliau hari, Lim Kit Siang berkata:

“In the 14th General Election, Pakatan Harapan secured 48.3% of the popular vote, while Barisan Nasional secured 33.9% and PAS 16.6% of the popular vote.

“However, I do not believe that 33.9% of the popular vote which supported Barisan Nasional, in particular Umno, candidates would have done so if they fully understood that their vote would be regarded as a vote for Malaysia continuing as a global kleptocracy and the slew of abuses and excesses of power under the Najib premiership.

“Similarly, I do not believe that there would be 16.6% of popular votes for PAS if these voters had realised that this popular vote would be used to prop up Datuk Seri Najib Razak as Prime Miniser and Malaysia continuing as a global kleptocracy scorned and humiliated by the world.” Continue reading “Kejinya pengundi PAS di kaca mata Kit Siang”

Tugas pertama bagi Menteri Pelajaran Maszlee Malik

Sepucuk surat kepada pengarang bertajuk ‘Bold move needed to forge Bangsa Malaysia’ diterbitkan hari ini dalam akhbar The J-Star. Ianya ditulis Lt Gen. Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Aziz (R) TUDM.

Dalam suratnya, beliau menyeru Perdana Menteri agar merombak sistem persekolahan kebangsaaan beserta melaksanakan kerangka “just one school for all Malaysians” – sebuah cadangan yang mengimbas kepada syor ‘Satu Sekolah Untuk Semua’ yang pernah dikemukakan seketika dulu. Pendidikan aliran Cina wajar dimansuhkan segera, kalau ikut logik DAP

Mob justice meted out to Najib will backfire on Dapsters

Here speaks the Father of the DAP trinity:

Lim Kit Siang claims that Tun Mahathir is no longer “a hegemon”. A dictionary definition of the word reads, “something having dominant influence or authority over others”.

Plainly Kit Siang is bullshitting. Continue reading “Mob justice meted out to Najib will backfire on Dapsters”

Evangelical pastors deliver prayer and blessing at American embassy’s Jerusalem ceremony

The American embassy opened its doors on Monday in Jerusalem and to deliver a historic prayer at the event was Pastor Robert Jeffress. He is a member of President Trump’s evangelical advisory council.

The embassy move to Jerusalem is Donald Trump fulfilling a promise made to his conservative Christian base. According to exit polls, close to 80 percent of white evangelicals voted for Trump in 2016. Netanyahu: “We are in Jerusalem and we are here to stay”

The American embassy opened yesterday in Jerusalem, deliberately coinciding with the 70th anniversary of Israel’s creation.

Jerusalem Day this year in Israel began in the evening of Saturday (May 12) and ended in the evening of Sunday (May 13). The date commemorates Israel’s capture of East Jerusalem from the Jordanians and thus giving Jews control of the whole city. Is BN breaking up?

UPDATE: Now PBS has announced that it is leaving BN (7.35pm)

Buntong in Perak is an interesting a state seat where its GE14 result bears some scrutiny.

Its voters are (ethnic breakdown by percentage):

  • Indian — 48.5%
  • Chinese — 45.6%
  • Malay — 5.25%

Buntong has the most Indians comparatively in ratio to the other races. Here – in a monoethnic three-cornered fight between all Indian candidates – MIC lost badly while PSM’s Rani (wife of outgoing Sg. Siput MP Dr Jeyakumar) failed to even make a dent. Continue reading “Is BN breaking up?”

So bizarre how Dapsters are embracing Mahathirism

Granted that a Malay-Bornean tsunami did indeed occur on May 9 but the joyous celebration by Chinese in greeting the return of Tun Mahathir as PM for his 23rd year in highest office is just plain freakish.

How much ‘ubah’ is there when someone who gave us the last era of 22 years (called Mahathirism) is back again to call the shots? Continue reading “So bizarre how Dapsters are embracing Mahathirism”

Tracking the MCA results

UPDATES

Final reckoning (3.30am):

MCA was defending seven seats from its haul in the last parliament. They are:

  • Tanjung Malim
  • Bentong
  • Alor Gajah
  • Labis
  • Ayer Hitam
  • Tebrau
  • Tanjong Piai

Of the seven, MCA only managed to retain Ayer Hitam alone. Nor did MCA manage to wrest any other seats from Harapan Pakatan although it contested a big handful.

Here’s how I see the future for MCA: Continue reading “Tracking the MCA results”
