The Zimbabwean army are patrolling the streets and they’ve opened fire on protesters in the capital city Harare.
Zimbabwe was formerly known as Rhodesia – named after explorer Sir Cecil Rhodes – when colonial whites had ruled the country.
A few days ago, Australia’s ABC News crew also caught up with violent developments in another post-apartheid country South Africa, optimistically dubbed the ‘Rainbow Nation’ but where its children now feel they have no future.
