BELOW: Congrats to “the Chinese in Penang” who have accepted and adapted to “the system”
In the Penang Institute board of directors currently sit three DAP Yang Berhormats — P. Ramasamy (also Penang chief minister II), Liew Chin Tong (a deputy minister cum DAP’s director of political education) and Steven Sim Chee Keong (a deputy minister).
DAP politicians Ong Kian Ming (also a deputy minister) and Zairil Khir Johari (Penang exco) were credited as Penang Institute general manager and CEO respectively.
Penang Institute DNA is DAP kaw-kaw.
Today alone, there are two opinion pieces by the institute staff published in Malaysiakini – the portal that misleadingly bills itself as “Speaking Truth to Power”.
The said articles/columns are penned by Lim Su Lin, touted as “a policy analyst with the Penang Institute” and Darshan Joshi, also attributed to Penang Institute (mugshots above).
By comparison to the youngsters, a statement yesterday by Malaysian Bar president George Varughese only featured in Malaysiakini‘s Letter-to-the-Editor space
Last month (February), Malaysiakini even carried opinion articles by Penang Institute INTERNS (!!) Laura Choo and Anis Azizi.
Malaysiakini thump their chest as journalists who are fearlessly standing up and “speaking truth to power”? Wakakaka.
Hello! Penang Institute in itself IS representative of the establishment and power centre. Both its honorary and operational office bearers are VIPs from DAP.
Penang Institute activities are a platform to showcase DAP. It’s the go-to channel also utilized by the once-and-future PM and his Datin Paduka daughter (video above).
By amplifying the “news and views” of Penang Institute, Malaysiakini does NOT speak truth to power. It’s just shamelessly pandering to the plush and cushy power structure which already has more than enough megaphones of its own.
Oh how the self-righteous SJWs of Malaysiakini have so mightily fallen.
