Tujuh dulang hati nyamuk and the broken bridge

When Hadi Awang yesterday talked about “burung kasuari padang pasir yang menyembunyikan diri dengan menyorok kepalanya yang kecil ke dalam tanah, dan mendedahkan badannya yang besar nampak dari jauh mata memandang”, he could well be describing also the 95 percent Chinese polity.

Like ostriches burying their head in the sand, they’re still cursing and swearing hideously at the MCA while blind to the deep hole which DAP has dug for them.

These Chinese are all ears to dog whistles by the DAP but tone deaf to the veiled language of the Malays, for instance Hadi Awang’s cakap berlapik.

9 May 2018: Nothing short of disastrous 

To the PAS people, Harapan’s 22-month rule in Putrajaya memang cukup dahsyat.

The PAS president recounted, “Beberapa peristiwa perundangan berlaku, antaranya seperti usaha untuk membebaskan pemimpin-pemimpin tertentu laksana lampu Aladdin yang memanggil jin untuk dilakukan dengan cepat”.

Although Hadi Awang did not spell out ‘T-O-M-M-Y  T-H-O-M-A-S’ when he said “Semuanya berlaku sebaik sahaja mereka melangkah masuk ke Putrajaya”, there’s no doubt in my mind that TT is the Aladdin’s genie being alluded to.

We know Guan Eng was released from his Bungalow-gate court charges in haste.

Hadi Awang’s allusion to “mereka yang lupa terhadap janji-janji PH yang terlalu banyak” refers to Harapan voters in general. But nonetheless it was the Chinese who were the most ardent buyers of DAP empty promises.

Hadi Awang said “ramai rakyat tertipu dengan manifesto dan janji PRU-14 yang dikemukakan, laksana permohonan Puteri Gunung Ledang dalam cerita dongeng Melayu yang mudah lupa”.

DAP promised its Chinese base the impossible and failed to deliver, even on the long awaited recognition for UEC.

Yet like demented banshees, the Chinese are hurling their curses at MCA.

Hadi Awang’s contempt is reserved for the deceitful promise makers who are clearly brazen oath breakers. In his words:

“Bagi PH tidak salah menjanjikan sedemikian rupa, kerana itu semua bukannya kitab suci. Jika kitab suci sekalipun boleh disanggah, apatah lagi manifesto dan janji sebegitu.”

Touche.

It wasn’t only the Malays then inside Harapan yang tak boleh tahan DAP.

In his ‘Langkah kanan bukan Langkah Sheraton’ unveiling, Hadi Awang revealed that the move to remove DAP started almost as soon as GE14 was concluded.

This shows how unacceptable the DAP is to the Malays.

Sheraton bagai “Langkah yang bermula dengan bismillah selepas sahaja selesai Pilihan Raya Umum ke-14”. Hadi Awang’s revelation is most telling but has failed to register on the oblivious and still obdurate Chinese.

Let the Chinese have what they want

Umno people readily admit that MCA “kalah teruk“.

The arrogant Tokong’s equally arrogant BFF Nazri Aziz in 2019 arrogantly told MCA to berambus (boleh keluar) dari BN.

To extend the Gunung Ledang metaphor, the 95 percent Chinese voters had expected the DAP to build them a golden bridge.

After putting all their eggs in one basket, the Chinese foolishly dynamited the old and worn out bridge which MCA once had connecting to Umno.

Looking at the amount of vitriol directed at MCA from the Chinese, the derelict BN relic should concede the Chinese voice to DAP already.

Seriously, MCA please step aside and just allow DAP to own the Chinese ground. Let the broken eggshells fall where they may.
