KitSiang’50 vs KitSiang’5

For roughly 50 years, Mahathir had viewed Lim Kit Siang as an extremist.

Over the last five years though, Kit Siang is increasingly seen as a “moderate” in the Old Man’s eyes.

Today Mahathir believes Kit Siang has ubah, bertaubat and become a puddy cat (upon his son becoming Harapan’s “castrated” Finance Minister in 2018).

See below for what Mahathir said about Kit Siang in 2013, i.e. before they hooked up around 2016 or thereabouts.

BELOW: A survey commissioned by CIMB Foundation carried out Sept-Oct 2016 found the Malays, Chinese and Indians all to have a stronger ethnic than national identity.

However Chinese First is much stronger than Malaysian First among orang Cina compared to the same dual measures among Malays. In fact, the Chinese possessed the lowest level of national identification with country (see red bar below).

Cakap tak serupa bikin

Kit Siang, Guan Eng and Hannah Yeoh are the loudest in proclaiming themselves to be Malaysian First.

The DAP idea of Bangsa Malaysia is for the non Muslims to wear tudung and camp inside masjid surau or to haunt pasar Ramadan during puasa month in order to show solidarity with those actually fasting.

My opinion on the DAP is that the party cultivates a herd mentality among its followers.

Or else how to describe the 95 percent Chinese voter consensus?

Their groupthink, however, is beginning to shift from “Chineseness” to the Bangsa Malaysia cult of the DAP evangelical leadership.

What do you call more than five hundred reader comments on Dr Kamarul Zaman Yusoff – who had cautioned against the DAP evangelists – in just the last two days (Mon. & Tues.) over three Malaysiakini reports?

I call it an online mob.

GELANG PATAH

1. Kit Siang is going to contest in Gelang Patah.

2. Why Gelang Patah?

3. Obviously it is because Gelang Patah has a Chinese majority.

4. Obviously Kit Siang is going to play on Chinese sentiments.

5. Johore has been an Alliance/Barisan Nasional stronghold ever since independence. The three races there have been supporting each other in elections. They do not have strong racist feelings.

6. But Kit Siang is going to bring about conflict and antagonism between the races, to wage the Chinese to dislike and hate the Malays.

7. The slogan of the DAP is Malaysian Malaysia, a slogan used by the PAP in the 1964 General Elections. The slogan implies that Malaysia did not belong to all Malaysians equally. It belongs to the Malays.

8. The PAP intended to get the Chinese not to co-operate with the Malays, to end the Sino-Malay “ kongsi” of the Tunku in the Alliance Party.

9. Kongsi means not taking all our entitlements for ourselves but sacrificing some so others may get their share.

10. The PAP rejected this “kongsi” principle demanding that everything be based on merit. When Singapore left Malaysia the DAP, the PAP Trojan horse, took up the Malaysian Malaysia slogan. The intention was to draw away Chinese support from the MCA and abandon the kongsi concept with UMNO and the Malays. The meritocracy promoted by the DAP will mean diminishing opportunities for the Malays in education and in business. This will result in the Malays becoming less and less qualified and poorer. Meritocracy is not about sharing but about the winners taking all.

11. When Kit Siang decided to contest in Chinese majority Gelang Patah it is because he wanted the Chinese there and in Johor to reject working together and sharing with the Malays.

12. An unhealthy racial confrontation would replace Sino-Malay cooperation which has made Malaysia stable and prosperous. That cooperation will end when Kit Siang wins Gelang Patah. Even if there will not be violent clashes as seen in many countries where people are divided by race or religion, but confrontation between the three major races in Malaysia will be disruptive and will not be conducive to the development of Malaysia.

13. For this reason the decision of Kit Siang to contest in Gelang Patah will be the focus of the 13th General Election in this country.

14. Will the DAP end Malay-Chinese friendship and cooperation in Johor or will “kongsi” remain the bases of race relations in Johor and in Malaysia?

  1. For those of us or political cognoscenti who have been following Malaysian Political events since 1954, the shenanigans of Pater + Fil is just a great joke. The former forever trying to emulate his Mentor with smoke and mirrors, and the latter trying always to show he is capable which no one disputes. As I said before, the salaries, emoluments, donations, etc which were all legal and above board are enough for the Family to live in luxury for 3 generations. I am not a busybody who pry into the personal affairs of others, inside or outside Malaysia’s jurisdiction. However, if we do not have this pair doing their verbal antics or gobbledygook, another pair probably worse than them will surely appear to fill the void. This brings to mind one self-appointed Oracle ex-DAP whose wife was ensnared by a multi-billion ringgit share rigger. Her huge debt disappeared after he became EX and the lucky fellow was then furnished with a fully equipped office and a ghost writer by a billionaire. All speeches and writings were by the ghost writer because this illiterate fellow never had a formal education as an orphan ! Not only that, there was this lady who had only 2 rooms in her office in my friend’s Wisma MPI. Lo and behold ! She was soon marching with the motley crowd along the hot and humid streets of ye olde KL, wearing a clean yellow T shirt and munching a KFC. In no time at all, she became a Freebie of a city in the Southern Antipodes and ennobled by a Malaysian State accordingly. To make herself relevant, now and then, she spouted a few choice or carefully chosen words of no merit on current happenings. Now who says there is inequality in our beloved Malaysia taking examples from these 4 examples of recent Malaysian DIY success in Public Life. There is still plenty of room for the astute and the cunning to tap the rich Malaysian vein in FAKERY ! Comparatively, the newly born are still wet around the ears !

  2. The Oracle of Ipoh just said today he could have betrayed the Malaysian Dream decades ago if he wanted to. I say it is well and good for him to say this having gained much by way of the many Federal and State tax free emoluments since 1966, legal donations, Party salaries etc which will last the Family (3 0f them) 3 generations. Why should such a person gives up a successful formula for good living ? In other words, you fellows can keep on dreaming for another 60 years, I am alright, Jack ! Is he getting old or something ?
