Afghanistan — the graveyard of empires

Vengeance is mine, saith the USA president.

Joe Biden, btw, is the man they’re telling you had received more than 80,000,000 votes from the American public in their November 2020 presidential election.

Biden is also the man who declared that he would defend American interests with every measure at his command.

How to do that?

Less than 24 hours ago (Thursday evening in Washington DC) and speaking from the White House, President Biden addressed his fellow Americans promising them revenge against Isis fighters in Afghanistan.

Isis had claimed responsibility for the twin bombs that exploded near Kabul airport yesterday killing a dozen-plus American servicemen.

‘We will hunt you down and make you pay’

Biden said:

“To those who carried out this attack, as well as anyone who wishes America harm, know this: We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.”

Joe Biden is the unforgiving Christian who does not plan to turn the other cheek.

He said:

“Those who have served through the ages and have drawn inspiration from the book of Isaiah when the Lord said ‘Whom shall I send? Who shall go for us’?”

“The American military has been answering for a long time: ‘Here I am Lord. Send me. Here I am, send me’.”

Heirs of Christian holy warrior tradition

”Each one of these women and men of our armed forces are the heirs of that tradition of sacrifice, of volunteering to go into harm’s way to risk everything, not for glory, not for profit, but to defend what we love and the people we love,” Biden continued.

The Biblical passage from the book of Isaiah which Biden quotes above is verse 6:8 which says: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

Meanwhile, Isis has vowed to fight any infidels who continue to occupy and rule Muslim land.

Dabiq  was the English-language propaganda magazine published by Isis.

Dabiq‘s issue No.15 – which carried the theme “Break the Cross” on its cover – was partly in response to a message by Pope Francis, according to Europol (EU law enforcement agency).

The response from Isis to the Pope in mid-2016 was not the first nor the last time that the pontiff has intersected controversially with another religion.

Muslim as well as Jewish faithful were and are made to feel uncomfortable by the Holy See’s overreach (Note: Biden is Catholic).

Only just a couple of days ago, the Chief Rabbinate protested to the Vatican over the Pope’s remarks on the Torah (Judaism’s holy book) — see the Times of Israel news report on Aug 25 below.

The Dabiq issue – which was first made available online on 31 July 2016 – contained an 18-page feature article also titled ‘Break the Cross’, according to Europol in its 10 April 2017 research presentation on counter terrorism.

Dabiq was disseminated to the Western world via Twitter, among several other social media conduits and online sharing platforms utilized by the tech-savvy Isis.

A week after the 9-11 terrorist attack on New York’s Twin Towers, President G.W. Bush spoke about America’s “war on terrorism”.

On 18 Sept 2001, Bush said the war to “rid the world of evildoers” was “going to take awhile” (in fact, it has been 20 years).

Bush, who is a Christian fundamentalist, had called the war against Muslim terrorists “this crusade” — see the Wall Street Journal‘s 21 Sept 2001 news report headlined ‘Crusade’ Reference Reinforces Fears War on Terrorism Is Against Muslims’.

These two American presidents – the Republican Bush and the Democrat Biden – both bookend their country’s bipartisan debacle in Afghanistan.

Potus43 the earlier commander-in-chief, who launched America’s war in the Middle East as a “crusade” two decades ago, saw his neo-con chickenhawks clamouring to bomb Afghanistan back to the Stone Age.

Potus46 the current commander-in-chief, who is pulling out American troops from Afghanistan, too had invoked the Old Testament like some white-haired Biblical prophet.

Biden’s Isaiah proclamation about “sending” Christian soldiers once again is quite fittingly still channeling Bush after having America come a full circle in the crusading war.

  1. History is the finest Arbiter of the Truth. The Christian religion was used to pacify the natives by the colonial empires of Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, France and Britain around the World. None of the attempts took root except by the Spaniards and the Portuguese who sometimes resorted to genocide. Attempts by the British to Christianise India and Africa were unsuccessful. The Portuguese were held at bay in Macau by the Chinese Emperor since the 16th Century. Even with the crumbling Ching Dynasty in the 19th Century, the British could not make any headway in mainland China. As second best, they grabbed a rock for 99 years and developed and called it Hong Kong. Empires collapsed because oppression have never been successful in wiping out the inner or good instincts of peoples. Eventually, the original self or indigenous self arise from the ranks of the majority local inhabitants to turn against the oppressors. This has happened time and time again, from India to Timbuctoo. To put this clearly, in Malaysia, those who try to push their Western values onto others who cherish their ancient Asian or Eastern values, will one day find out the result to their cost. How could the tropicalised brand new christians of the DAP claim to represent 95% of the Malaysian Chinese (Han) ? This is strictly not for those who are not dreaming.

  2. How many Malaysians know that the British murdered the last Mughal ruler of India and his son in the 19th Century. They also eliminated the Royal Houses of Sri Lanka and Burma. Even as late as 1908, the Dutch massacred the whole Royal House of Bali in front of their own Palace. The Balinese Royals preferred to die rather than be oppressed under the Dutch. The bitterness of the Indonesians against the Dutch lingered till 2019 when the Dutch Royals visited Indonesia for the first time since Indonesia’s Independence in 1945. Hence, I always encouraged Malaysians to be constructed and not destructive bolstered by our unique history. Yet, it is alleged the DAP which kept harping on ‘reforms’, gave others the wrong impression that the DAP tropicalised brand new christians were forever attempting to impose their Western values on the majority of the Malaysians who have Asian values. These DAP leaders cannot claim to be the voice of the 6 million Malaysian Chinese. because the Han Chinese are not rowdies. Not only that, they were kicked out of office after 21 months after bragging for decades what good ‘reforms’, the DAP could do when they were in Power in Putrajaya. To this day, the DAP has not produced a list of what good they had done whilst on Government Service. History recorded that the DAP did something for dubious reasons. This is strictly not for those who are not dreaming.

    1. Not only Biden was incompetent, the Secretary of Defence takes the blame plus the many advisers. To begin evacuation on 14 August 2021 after announcing their departure in April is an unforgivable sin.

  3. On Afghanistan today, let us all hope our Minister of Foreign Affairs and his 2 Deputies are alert on the job and remember that our beloved Malaysia must be friends to all and enemy of none because Malaysia is one of 4 most important small countries of the World being the UK, Japan, Switzerland and Malaysia. Even Porsche is coming here This is the reason why some of our neighbours are jealous of us and kept running us down. But the Covid-19 virus finished them off forever ! Humankind proposes. God disposes !
